Splitting interleaved surround file into seperate files

I need to 'convert' an interleaved surround .WAV file (which was created in Pyramix) into the seperate mono channels it exists of. Can this be done in Logic Pro 8? Or in any other standard application?
Thanks!

  • Division of 1 Asset into seperate Assets

    Hi Professionals
    We have 1 Asset which is Acquisited 2 years back and we have run Depreciation also and its useful life 5 years.
    Acquisition Amount is 250000/- and Depreciation run is 130000/- and NetBookValue is 120000/-.
    And for some reasons We want to divide this Asset into 4 new Assets like this.
    AssetNumber  AcquisitionValue  AccumulatedDepreciation NBV
    Asset1 1001  62500  32500 30000
    Asset2 1002  62500  32500 30000
    Asset3 1003  62500  32500 30000
    Asset4 1004  62500  32500 30000
    Kindly let me know the How can i seperate that main Asset into 4 Assets.
    Where the Configuration i need to do for this.
    Regards
    Kumar Raja

    Hi ,
    Basd on the above mentioned requirement there are two options which can be done regarding the splitting up of asset into seperate asset .
    1. for the existing asset create subnumbers using tcode: AS11 , and transfer the acq value from the existing asset to prsent asset using ABUMN and mention the percentage ,if the asset captilization date for individual asset has to be changed then while creating the asset using tcode: AS11 check the post-capitalization check box.
    2. Create individual asset similar to the existing asset and transfer the required percentage to all the other asset  , check should be done on the asset valu date and the dep key assigned to the deparea for that particular asset.

  • How can I Split the PDF File into different pages?

    Hi,
    My requirment is to split the pdf file , which is obtained by using FM "convert_otf" , into seperate PDF file for each employee data(PERNR).
    Please suggest me the way to slipt the PDF file that has to be downloaded into the presentation server.

    Hi,
    Ok, looking at that programm didn't actually help me very much to understand what's going on, or where you have the CONVERT_OTF call... Regardless, if the suggestion by Raymond is not feasible in your scenario, the thing I'd try to do is - splitting the spool (OTF) contents before calling CONVERT_OTF into individual documents (feeding it to convert FM piecemeal)... The link to OTF format and commands documentation is here.
    Again, it's difficult to give a good algorithm without knowing the exact OTF contents (could you perhaps somehow export the display of spool in RAW format and attach here?) but it would boil down to approximately following:
    1) set the &first_page per PERNR = 1;
    2) run through OTF lines until the &end_page for PERNR has been identified somehow (hopefully there are Begin/End Form OTF commands '//' in that spool... and they correspond to the split of spool you need...);
    3) extract the otf contents from &first_page to the EP command of &end_page into separate OTF itab and, if necessary, add // (End of form) command at the end of itab;
    4) call CONVERT_OTF on the table and download;
    5) set the &first_page per PERNR = &end page + 1;
    6) repeat from 2) until end of spool OTF data
    Something like that... Depending how the Sapscript translates into OTF, you may also need to prepend a few commands found at the very beginning of the spool to each extracted invividual OTF document...
    I Hope you can get the gist of what I'm suggesting... splitting OTF is definetly easier than trying to split PDF, I feel. It's not ideal solution, because - what if the structure of OTF contents you would be realying on changes for some reason..?
    cheers

  • Split a single avi into multiple avi files?

    Hi there, totally new to PS Elements Premier 10.
    I have some VHS video tapes that I converted to AVI format.  I'd like to separate the videos into segments (ie; separate Christmas 1982 from Easter 1983) - and store them in multiple AVI files.  I tried to do this in MS movie maker, but that was taking forever.  I bought Premier Elements because I figured it should be easier; and it probably is, but I'm noob...
    I have split the video into the scenes I want.  I have added markers... but I am having trouble splitting the actual video into chunks of clips - ie; one big avi file would become 10 smaller avi files.  I am trying to watch these on a boxee box, so I do want the to be separate files - I dont want to do a "web dvd" output.
    I have tried this:
    I dont see export functions.
    I go to "SHARE" but it only lets me export to a single output.
    How can I do this?  It's for Christmas presents, so it's a little urgent - any help you can give me would be soooooo appreciated.
    thanks!

    Thanks everyone.  I ended up figuring it out - whether or not I did it the best / easiest / fastest way is up for debate
    I split the video into clips.
    Separated the clips into different timelines.
    "left aligned" all the clips in their respective timelines so they all start at 0:00 (just for simplification)
    Disable all clips / timelines (right click, enable = false)
    Enable the individual clip/timeline that I want to save
    Set up the work area bar so that it starts at 0:00 and ends at the end of the specific clip I enabled.  With the "snap top" functionality turned on, this is pretty easy.
    Go to "SHARE" and configure my outputs
    Make sure that "Share Work Area Bar Only" is checked on the "Share" tab before committing
    It creates an avi of only the enabled clip, for the timeline I created.
    Important:
    Make sure you set the work area bar properly, or you'll have a 10 minute clip followed by 2 hours of blackness.... did that a few times ha.
    Make sure you click the "Share Work Area Bar Only" on the share tab - or the same will happen.
    Thanks for the replies everyone - let me know if there is a better way to acheive this in PE10.
    Thanks!

  • Split TempDB Data file into multiple files

    Hey ,
    I have been seeing TempDB contention in memory on our SQL server 2012 Enterprise Edition with SP2 and I need to split TempDB Data file into multiple files .
    Could someone please help me to verify the following information:
    1]
    We are on SQL server 2012 Enterprise Edition with service pack2 but as per SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition under CAL Licensing –We are limited to use 20 logical processors instead 40 logical processors. Our SQL is configured
    on NUMA nodes and with the limitation SQL uses only 2 NUMA nodes on live .There are 10 logical CPUs are evenly assigned to each NUMA nodes. Microsoft recommends that if SQL server configured on NUMA node and we have 2 NUMA nodes, then we may add two data files
    at a time. Please let me know should I add two TempDB data file at a time?
    2] We have TempDB Data and log files both on the same Drive of SQL server  .When I split TempDB into two Data files, I can get them on the same Drive .What your recommendation should I need to create TempDB Data files on the same drive or on separate
    disks?
    3] What would be the blackout plan for splitting the tempdb into multiple files? Please let me know if someone has a better back out plan ?
                1] Run script that create tempdb Database with a single file
    2] Reboot SQL service in order to apply change
    Your help will be apprecited .

  • Split one song file into 3 parts?

    I have a Damien Rice song (Eskimo) that is 3 songs with lots of silence between them all in one track. Is there any way to split the song/file into 3 parts/tracks so that I can have the 3 pieces as separate tracks?
    thanks for any suggestions.

    Yes. In the full-length file set the stop and start times, by right-clicking on the track and then "Get Info" > "Options." Then "OK." Then right click on the track and select "Convert Selection to XX" and it will create a new shorter file in your preferred import format.
    Do this three times to get the 3 short versions that you want.

  • How to split a big file into several small files using XI

    Hi,
    Is there any way to split a huge file into small files using XI.
    Thanks
    Mukesh

    There is a how to guide for using file adapters, an "sdn search" will get you the document.
    Based on that , read a file into XI, Use strings to store the file content and do the split
    here is some code to get you started
    ===========
    Pseudocode:
    ===========
    // This can be passed in - however many output files to which the source is split
    numOutputFiles = 5;
    // Create the same number of filehandles as numOutputFiles specifies
    open file1, file2, file3, file4, file5;
    // Create an Array to hold the references to those filehandles
    Array[5] fileHandles = {file1, file2, file3, file5, file5};
    // Initialize a loop counter
    int loopCounter = 0;
    // a temporary holder to "point" the output stream to the correct output file
    File currentOutputFile = null;
    // loop through your input file
    while (sourceFile.nextLine != null)
    loopCounter++;
    if (loopCounter == (numOutputFiles +1) // you've reached 5, loop back
    loopCounter = 1;
    currentOutputFile = fileHandles[loopCounter]; // gets the output file at that index of the array
    currentOutputFile.write(sourceFile.nextLine);

  • Splitting large video files into small chunks and combining them

    Hi All,
    Thank you for viewing my thread. I have searched for hours but cannot find any information on this topic.
    I need to upload very large video files. The files can be something like 10GB in size, currently .mpeg format but they may be .mp4 format later on too.
    Since the files will be uploaded remotely using using internet from the clients mobile device (3G or 4G in UK) I need to split the files into smaller chunks. This way if there is a connection issue (very likely as the files are large) I can resume the upload without doing the whole 10gb again.
    My question is, what can I use to split a large file like 10Gb into smaller chunks like 200mb, upload the files and then combine them again? Is there a jar file that I can use. i cant install stuff like ffmpeg or JMF on the clients laptops.
    Thank you for your time.
    Kind regards,
    Imran

    There is a Unix command called split that does just that splits a file into chunks of a size you specify. When you want to put the bits bact together you use the command cat.
    If you are comfortable in the terminal you can look at the man page for split for more information.
    Both commands are data blind and work on binary as well as text files so I would think this should work for video but of course check it out to see if the restored file still works as video.

  • HT2488 Files into seperate folder using Automator

    Can I use Automator to put seperate files into seperate folder

    Sorry to hop into this post.
    I have an inverted need to this one.
    I subscribe to Fotolia's images.
    For some odd reason I have never been able to ascertain, they deliver the image in a folder labelled with the image number eg Fotolia_57922194
    Inside the folder is an Adobe Illustrator file labelled "contents.eps" with jpeg preview labelled "contents.jpg"
    All the files are labelled "contents". It plays havoc with layouts when you insert them all.
    I would like to create a smart folder with attached Automator workflow that batch works on Fotolia folders dropped onto it:
    1. Copies the folder name
    2. Renames the "contents.eps" inside the folder to for example Fotolia_57922194.eps
    3. Moves the renamed .eps out of the enclosing folder to inside the Smart folder
    4. Trashes the remaining folder with .jpg preview
    I really have no idea where to begin.
    Any wiser soul out there, can point me where to start?
    Thanks
    Peter

  • Interleaving structured files (XML)

    Hi again;<br /><br />Our group receives XML files that contain eng data for multiple widgets inside 1 standard component. Like....<br /><br /> <pre><br />   <component><br />     <Widget><br />       <name>My Thing</name><br />       <phone>555-1212</phon><br />       <description>Very short</description><br />     </Widget><br /><br />     <Widget><br />       <name>Their Thing</name><br />       <phone>429-4242</phone><br />       <description>Also short</description><br />     </Widget><br />   ...<br />   </component><br /> </pre><br />Unfortunately, the 3rd party SW ("MakeWidgets") only allows engs to write 1 para of Widget description - no tables, graphics, etc - and our Widgets get complicated. We've chatted with the SW company about this restriction but alas, "MakeWidgets" can't change anytime soon.<br /><br />So our group is trying to split out Widgets separately, treat them as Frame read-only text insets, then interleave long description areas.  Like....<br /><br /><pre><br />   <ModifiedComponent><br />      <Widget IsTextInset="Yes"><br />        <name>My Thing</name><br />        <phone>555-1212</phon><br />        <description>Very short</description><br />      </Widget><br /><br />      <LongDescription BelongsTo="My Thing"><br />         Blah, blah<p/><br />         <table/><br />      </LongDescription><br /><br />      <WidgetIsTextInset="Yes"><br />        <name>Their Thing</name><br />        <phone>429-4242</phone><br />        <description>Also short</description><br />      </Widget><br />   <br />      <LongDescription BelongsTo="Their Thing"><br />        Blah, blah<p/><br />        <GraphicHere/><br />      </LongDescription><br />   ...<br /><br />   </ModifiedComponent><br /></pre><br />The final system allows "MakeWidgets" to write Widget XML while Frame inputs Widget XML as<br />b read-only<br />text insets so Engs or TWs can see (but not write) the data while they create better descriptions.  In the long run, we also want the "LongDescriptions" to be dbased text insets so we can reuse them in other docs.<br /><br />Last restriction.  "MakeWidgets" can't see the "LongDescription" element so we need to fold everything back into a single file once we write the XML from inside Frame. This project entails 2 tasks (that I see):<br /><ul><br /><li>Break 1 component file into multiple text insets (or read 1 element<br />in the component file as 1 text inset, similar to a conref).</li><br /><br /><li>Interleave multiple files into 1 single file that Frame accepts as input. BTW, it's interesting that Frame is good at creating multiple output files, but not-so-good at accepting multiple files as input.  But never mind.</li><br /></ul><br />Both tasks seem difficult to do, so I'm soliciting ideas and opinions.  Also raucous laughter. ;)<br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />Thanks!<br /><br />---------------------------------------------------------------<br />Footnote.  Yes, I know DITA can handle modules like this - but "MakeWidgets" doesn't accept DITA format.  This is one reason why I don't like DITA - it's TW oriented and High Tech XML formats are eng driven.  So either you don't use DITA or you swap formats - extremely hard to do - and track info in 2 places.  Yuck!<br /><br />Sorry Ann Rockley.<br />---------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />David Blyth (the UNIX and vi dinosaur)<br />Staff Technical Writer<br />QCT Division<br />QUALCOMM - Standard Disclaimers Apply<br /><br />Only 149,999,950 more years of Ruling The Earth to go<br />---------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi Scott;
    >So .. you're trying to insert each "Widget" into a data model of your own that acts as a container for each basic widget description plus a more verbose description. You're not trying to stuff additional data into the base MakeWidget model, right?
    Close enough. And yup, I'm pretty sure I can do this with DITA and conrefs... except the engineers
    i must
    use the MakeWidget SW that won't accept DITA.
    This is a hard constraint. Either I don't use DITA or I constantly swap between eng XML and DITA - extremely hard to do - and track info in 2 places. Also hard to do.
    IMHO, this is DITA's fundamental flaw. Raw engineering XML contains usable doc info. Thus, the future of reuse is databases between engineer and TW and
    b not
    databases between TW and TW. An eng datum is a TW doc.

  • Split a ZIP File in smaller Chunks / payloads on ECC 6.0 (NOT PI)

    I call a external web service directly from ECC6.0.  In one of the proxy class's methods I need to send a zip file. I can generate ZIP file using SAP supplied class. The file size of this zip file 150 MB and I want to break this file in smaller chunks say 2 MB chunks. Is there a FM / Class / some way to break this file into smaller chunks?
    Appreciate your inputs
    Thanks,

    Hi Vikram,
    You can use the FM DX_SPLIT_FILE to split the zip file.

  • File History split 1 gig file in to 5 200 meg files, and I can't find how to restore this file

    I setup file restore on a Windows 8 computer.
    Backed up all the files to a NAS.
    Wiped and reloaded 8.1 pro and did a file restore.
    All of my files, except one large file, restored.
    The file that didn't was a 1 gig TrueCrypt (VeraCrypt) file in the root of "documents".
    When I browse out to my NAS, I see 5 files.
    One of them is named: TCvol (2014_12_09 02_17_05 UTC) and it is 200 megs.
    I believe these 5 files need to combine themselves again to restore my original 1 gig file, but I cannot find any documentation.
    Pretty much everything shows that you open file history restore and your data should appear there.

    Hi,
    It should be caused that Windows Server Backup cannot recognize the encrypted file - I cannot confirm how the third party application (TrueCrypt) work, it seems that it will split an encrypted file into several files and Windows Server Backup only restored
    files physically. You can contact TrueCrypt support about this issue.
    I searched on your website and found several threads which related to get TrueCrypt working with Windows Server Backup. Specifically to your current issue you can confirm with them about any suggestion to get file recovered or how to do such backup job for
    a healthy recovery.
