  • No datasources in SPM after all refresh datasources option

    Hi,
I tried Refresh all data sources option in SPM, checking the log it showed that the Metadata loaded message. But post that, I could not see any data sources in User preferences or datasource Administration. But I could the list in Application properties.
This is a crtical issue as till this is resolved no reports are displayed.
    Regards,
    Sampat Desai

    Hi Sampat,
We have seen this error in the case when some user is saving reports at the same time when refresh datasource is being done. Please try following steps which should most likely resolve this issue:
        1) Delete all nodes under the folder "/application/metadata" using the methods OPM_PS_GET_NODE_METADATA and OPM_PS_REMOVE_NODE(Please note that /application/metadata itself should not be deleted)
        2) Go to table "OPM_PS_ITEM_DET" and search for all objects with "NODE_TYPE" as "AUI_METADATA_CACHE". This will return all the nodes which are dangling as there should be no such value.
        3) Retrieve the GUIDs from step 2 and remove the existing nodes using the FM OPM_PS_REMOVE_NODE
    Thanks,

  • Data not getting saved in SPM UI

    Hi,
We have installed and configured SPM 2.1 SP3.. We ahve one issue.. Under Data Management-->Global Setting, we enter the path of import and export folders. When we save them, it doesnt get saved..
Please let me know the root cause of this issue.. I have tested the connectivity between ABAP and JAVA.. Seems to work fine..
    Thanks
    Thilip Kumar

    Hi Thilip,
Could you please check to see if you have an active Data Upload & system created? Without this the files will not show up.
The Active Data Upload can be created from the menu item  Data Management > Data Upload Workbench > Manage Data Uploads
Click on New Data Upload and enter in all the required information and select the "Set as active" checkbox.
For Systems goto Data Management > Global Settings and in the Systems tab create a new system.

  • FF Id Owner Name appears different in SPM report campared to Backend

    Hi Team,
We have SPM 5.3 installed and we are using user based Firefighter concept.
I have run the SPM report ( log summery report , transaction usage report and detail log report ) today. There the FF id Owner name appearing is different with respect to what we maintained in ' Owners' tab in backend firefighter Dash board. Even in the Backend log report  it is appearing different . Means at Backend and SPM ( GRC front end) both the  places FF id owner is appearing different w.r.t what we maintained in Owner tab of Backend system.
Please suggest what can be the issue . And where I need to change the confirguration to make the report consistant with what we maintained in Owner tab of Backend system.
    Looking for your earliest response.
    Regards,
    Kakali

    Kakali,
Have you got multiple owners defined in the backend system? Sometimes that causes inconsistencies.
I have noticed that there is a Bug in SAP Note 1168121 which means that the owner is missed off the email log reports in SPM up to SP08 and that might also be the issue.

  • Is there a way to mass update or replace the SPM Firefighter IDs table?

We are upgrading from GRC 5.2 to 5.3.  In 5.3 FF/SPM has added an Owners field to the FF ID table (/virsa/zffusers), which is apparently a required field because I keep getting a "Invalid Firefighter ID Owner" error when I try to look at the table.
Is there a way to mass update, or perhaps import/replace, this table?  I am having problems trying to update this table thru the FF table screen.  When I go to save my changes, it will return the above error because not all of the FFID records have an assignment in this new Owners field.  We have over 160 FFIDs, so I can't change all of the records at the same time.  I can only get about 20 per screen and it will return that error again when I try to page forward.
    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,
that is perfectly possible - did it a few times already.
Export the table from within Firefighter, download the owners table (sorry, need to look up the name tomorrow - but you can't miss it), then add the owners through an Excel vlookup. Then re-import the table in Firefighter, and you're ste.
I'm at home right now - if you have difficulties getting this done shoot me a message tomorrow and I'll send you more details.
    Frank.

  • Adding a Custom Hierarchy field to SPM query giving Server Error

    Hi
I have enahnced the SPM data model with Organistaion Unit Infobject 0ORGUNIT as part of a
enhancement requirement for using 0ORGUNIT Hierarchy .
The field has been added to Bex Query - Spend Analysis Final and also appear in the SPM datasource.
When I add this 0ORGNUNIT field to the SPM report in SPM UI , I get a server error.
There isn't anymore information showing up about the error.
I dont think I missed any step here . I a;lso checked the Analysis administration - Dimension Properties and all looks fine there.
I can see the new field 0ORGUNIT showing up with Hierarchy selected.
We are in SPM 3.0 support pack 7.
Appreciate your quick help in this.
    Thanks

  • SPM Reporting - Log reports display on front end

    Hi,
We have implemented GRC 5.3 and have an issue on the SPM reporting through the front end.
We have done config in dev and have the following jobs running in the background every 1 hour:
    1. /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK
    2. /VIRSA/ZVFAT_LOG_REPORT
    3. /VIRSA/ZVFAT_V01
    4. /VIRSA/ZVFAT_V03
The log on the back-end displays all activity of FF user, but when going to the front end I seem not to get any reports to display.
We have created the connectors via the config page, but when trying to drill through the selection criteria we found that the FF user does not come up as a selection variable. We see the system defined though.
Any suggestions how to get the reporting to display on the front-end?
    Kind Regards, Melvin

    Santosh,
You should only need the /virsa/zvfatbak job running in the background. However, if the emails are not triggered for the log reports, you may wish to schedule the /virsa/zvfat_log_report program to run after completion of /virsa/zvfatbak as that is the program which actually sends the notifications.
Regarding the RFC user, check the authorisations held in the Firefighter Administrator role as those will not be too far away!

  • Scheduling Agreement in SAP SPM

    Hi
We want to load scheduling agreement in SPM. We have two issues:
    1) What DATA TYPE should we select when loading the SAgreement
    2) Where can we find the schema file for SAGREEMENT as it is not available in the standard MASTER DATA schema file
    Regards

    Hi,
Contracts and scheduling agreements are treated alike in SPM.  So use contracts data type to load your data.

  • SPM Extractors from SAP R/3

Hi, I am quite new working with SPM and currently investigating options for data extraction activity from R/3 to SPM.
I could see there is an extraction wiki, were I found very useful information, and could see the main options are:
    1. Use SAP provided ABAP extractors (as a starting kit probably)
    2. Write our own ABAP programs
    3. Using other ETL tool, like for example BOBJ IM (Business Objects Integration Manager)
My main concern is regarding performance, as I expect to have to deal with high volume of data. I'd like to hear some past experience on how SAP provided extractors work. Have any of you implemented these extractors or had the chance of seeing them running?. The delta capability works fine? Is it a delta just based on a document creation/change data? or other changes (in the master data for example, where we do not always have a change date) are also captured?. How much customizing should I considerate will be requested (of course I understand this depends on how much customizing do we have in our R/3).
Is it worth exploring these standard extractors?. Or should I better start considering other option like BOBJ-IM? I think I will have to use BOBJ-IM anyway for some non-SAP sources of data which I also have to include.
Any experience with these extractors is appretiated!.
    Many thanks.
    Regards,
    Claudia.

    Hi Claudia,
Below are some of my comments in regards to SPM extractors.
    1.  Using SPM extractors as a starter kit is a great idea.  This will bring in all the necessary data from standard R/3 tables with the necessary logic to populate SPM.
    2.  Taking the route of writing you own ABAP program / extractors may be necessary only if you have quite a lot of customization in R/3 as your source for data.
    3.  Using BOBJ IM is necessary for extracting data from non-SAP data source.
As always loading initial could be a lengthy process.  To speed up this process it is recommended to break it down to smaller manageable loads.
Delta is primarily based on create / change date for both master data and transaction data.
In terms of customizations, you are right depends on what you are looking for, you may end up adding new fields or writing some exit / code to add business logic to existing fields.  Have seen customers do a combination of both.
Have seen quite a lot of customers take the route of delivered extractor which gives them a great start.  Secondly looking at the extractors you can tell exactly what tables and fields are used to extract data, that way even if you are planning to build you own extractors you know exactly what fields are needed.

  • SPM 5.2 - problem with reason/activity fields - not showing in the report

    Dear experts,
I have a situation that is hard to describe.
We have SPM 5.2 - all set and working, now the problem is that for some of the FF sessions the tool is either not reporting the reason/activity fields (due to some technical problem that is occuring randomly) or the users have found a way to abuse the fields and make thier way around them. (these fields are very important for our SOX controls)
I have created test users to see how they are entering without filling the reason/activity fields, but no luck - i couldnt enter.
As you know the Activity field is mandatory text field and at least one character must be entered,  but I don`t think this is the workaround, because even if you put space the report still will show it. I have examples where the report is not showing anything.
The worst is that I can`t simulate such cases.
Have you ever heard of such nosense?
    Thank you,
    Iliya

I think I found it - Application deficiency. It is the language that you are logged with. If it is not English the application is not recording the text that you type in the reason/activity fields upon FF session.
I hope the latest patches are fixing this!
    BR

  • Opening any report in SPM shows Server Error

    Hi Experts,
We have recently upgraded SPM from 2.0 to 3.0 SP3, where when we click any report a small pop-up on the right corner shows "Server Error".
We have taken the http watch trace and it shows as
    404 - for URL - http://<systemhostname>:<port>/sap/poa/sbc/ps/SPM/psres/0050568E3EE31EE093E92146BB8AEBF6/payload
    500(Internal Server Error) - for URL -
    http://<systemhostname>:<port>/epm/opm/bidata/SPM/dataSources/0ASA_MP01_Q1002/report?rows=100&cell_limit=200000

    Hi Preetha Balan,
Sorry for resurrecting this old thread.
Just wondering, if you can share to me what Update Level or Pacthes that you applied to your system to get rid of that error? I have the same scenario here and does not seem to find a fi.
If you dont mind can share below two things with me:
    1. Whats the current levels / pacthes for all compnents of your SPM system? (Both java and ABAP).
    2. Can share the OSS ticket ID? i would like my SAP support person to refer to you ticket as well.
Thanks for you time and help!

  • Can SPM realize AP requirement?

    Hi,
Our company wanna to use SPM to realize AP reporting requirement? Is it possbile?
The AP reporting requirement contains these fields:
    company code--from invoice data
    cost center---from invoice data
    GL account----from invoice data
    PO number----from invoice data
    vendor---from invoice data
    Invoice number-----from invoice data
    invoice amount-----from invoice data
    invoice paid amount----from AP data
    payment term -
    from AP data
    invoice status----from GL data
    invoice date------from invoice data
    invoice paid date-----from AP data
So basiclly, the datasource cover AP and invoice. I wanna to know can SPM realize this requirement? There are some questions related:
Will SPM data management tool just use some specific standard datasources? For example, 2LIS_06 for invoices, 2LIS_02 for purchase ordersu2026Per SPM documents I found on web, no AP SPM BI content mentioned. Can 0FI_AP_4 datasource be used by SPM?
Shall we use customized DSO in SPM? Not standard ones---0ASA_DSXX
Can datasource be enhanced in SPM?
    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,
Looking at your requirement we cover the Invoice portion of your requirement and lot more.  SPM has its own set of extractors that we used to pull data from ERP, we do not use any standard BW datasource.  But if you are already pulling all the requirement information [Invoice, AP] using the standard BW datasource you can load that data into the SPM data model [it will be your responsibility to map the necessary fields and load].
As part of the standard SPM extractors and data model we do not have AP data, so you can either build a new set of objects [DSO and Cube] or reuse 0FI* objects to hold this data and add the necessary fields to the final SPM multiprovider in the reporting area.
SPM application has functionality where you can introduce new data model [like mentioned above] and expose additional content in the SPM UI based on your needs.  You can also modify the SPM extractors to bring in additional information such as AP or any other master data that is necessary.
    Hope this answers your question.

    Rohit

  • Is SPM Reporting Flex included in the SAP Roadmap

    Hi Rajesh, Rohit,
A quick question here regarding the SPM Flex reporting tool and whether this has been included in SAP's Roadmap strategy for the future.  I can't see any mention of it in any presentations or literature.  Concerns over whether it will become obsolete, etc.  Can't see it as the integration to other advanced features such as Spend Advisor and E-Sourcing is vital.
    Any advice welcome.
    Best regards,
    Pom

    Hi Pom,
Customer and partners have asked this question a few times before and a very valid one.  Nothing is a grantee, and I am no fortune teller.  As and when new technologies emerge SAP will evaluate them to weigh their benefits against existing choices.  Having said all of that, this architecture of delivering the flex UI for end users and using NW BW as the data warehouse is gaining popularity.  So Adobe Flex based UI is here to stay at least for the near future.
Starting mid this year you will see other applications in EPM (Enterprise Performance Management Suite) use this architecture and technology.  Some of them are already on this band wagon.  In fact SPM UI is being separated and this UI will be used by the other application.  Meaning all applications will have the same look and feel.
    Hope this helps

  • Upload SPM data in GRC 10.0 CEA

In version 5.3 there was an upload functionality in the SPM cockpit for all the FF data (user, controllers, owners etc.)
Is such a functionality also available for GRC 10.0 CEA? We are using CEA over 66 SID's and then it is a lot of work te create the users and connect them to their rol of controller/user. How can these elements be uploaded in mass?
Can we use the transaction GRC_GRAC_MIGRATION for this? If that is the case does any one know the configuration of the data.dat files? I don't have a 5.3 version to access so I can't check this.
    GRACSPMUSERdata.dat
    GRACSPMIUSERTdata.dat
    GRACSPMOBJECTdata.dat
    GRACSPMOBJECTTdata.dat
    GRACSPMRCODEdata.dat
    GRACSPMRCODETdata.dat
    GRACSPMRCODESYSdata.dat
    GRACSPMCTRLdata.dat
    GRACSPMCTRLTdata.dat
    GRACSPMOWNERdata.dat
    GRACSPMOWNERTdata.dat
If this is not a possibility, please advice how to create users in mass for CEA.
    Thanx.
    Best Regards,
    Jurgen.

Good question, and the answer is not pretty.
In Role-Based Firefighter Application, the firefighter ID on the target system contains the user's regular access plus his/her firefighter access.
Reporting turns on when the user runs a transaction in the firefighter role.
If the transaction is in both the user's regular access and the firefighter role, reporting will turn on because the firefighter role access is in use.
The reports only track firefighter role usage.  So if a user runs a firefighter transaction but also uses access defined in the user's regular access, the only thing recorded is the transaction.
If your company is not completely married to the idea of using Role-Based Firefighter Application, I suggest you consider the ID-Based Firefighter Application.  In this, there are separate firefighter IDs on the target system and a firefighter gains access to them by going into GRC and completing a form showing how the firefighter ID will be used, and then the GRC system will let the firefighter into the target system using that firefighter ID.

  • SPM 10.0 Roles

    Hi experts,
I am currently configuring GRC AC 10.0 for a client. I am having an issue when it comes to which roles to assign to each user in regards to SPM (Firefighter).
Users of Firefighter - "FF ADMINISTRATOR", "FF OWNER", "FF CONTROLLER" and "FF USER" that need roles. The guide I'm referring to (AC 10.0 Centralized Firefighter Access.pdf) says I need the following:
    FF OWNER = SAP_GRAC_SUPER_USER_MGMT_OWNER
    FF CONTROLLER = SAP_GRAC_SUPER_USER_MGMT_CNTLR
    FF USER = SAP_GRAC_SUPER_USER_MGMT_USER
FF ADMINISTRATOR = SAP_GRAC_SUPER_USER_MGMT_ADMIN (not mentioned in guide but I am assuming)
In addition, each need SAP_GRC_FN_BASE and SAP_GRC_FN_BUSINESS_USER roles.
However, I've already realized that the FF ADMINISTRATOR is going to need the SAP_GRAC_SETUP role in order to be able to access the Setup tab within GRC in order to maintain the Access Control Owners and then assign an Owner to a Firefighter ID.
The issue comes up when you need to give the Owners the same SAP_GRAC_SETUP role in order to maintain the Firefighter IDs assigned to them and assign those to the actual end user Firefighters. However, with that role, the Owner would also have access to maintain Owners, Reason Codes, etc.
Questions: Am I going to have to manually edit the authorizations within this role to make this work? Is there an actual list of roles that need to be assigned to each of the Users within Firefighter? or is this a trial-and-error process of adding each role to the user and testing to see which roles they need?
    Thanks,
    Madhu
Edited by: Madhu Mathew on Sep 16, 2011 11:06 PM

    Ashish,
Yes. These roles have been assigned to the test users as well. However, there is also the SAP_GRAC_SETUP role which I mentioned in the message. Without this, the Administrator cannot assign firefighter IDs to owners. The problem is that I need to give the Owners the same SAP_GRAC_SETUP role. The owners should have access to assigning firefighters and controllers to firefighter IDs, but they are also able to edit the owners and reason codes as well.
    Thanks,
    Madhu
