SPML Connector Question

Hi!
I try to connect my SPML-enabled application to SUM IDM. I use demo spml connector (ExampleSPML2ResourceAdapter, which is located at the REF folder)
Has anyone tried to use this adapter in real-life applications? I am getting various error messages in server.log while changing Java code. Adapter tries to issue listTargets request but fails on parsing URL..
Unfortunately, I am not experienced in Java. Any help
is appreciated
Thanks!

Did you ever find a way to provision a resource using SPML?
I'm facing the same problem at the moment..
Regards,
Tine

  • Can't configure SPML connector IDM 8.1

    Hello
I try to configure SPML connector in IDM 8.1 (Solaris 10 x64, Java Web Server 7.0). When I try to add "New Resource", I choose "LOCAL", when I fill name, password, URL and add ObjectClassMapping, I add two rows ACCOUNT and GROUP. After "Next", I get "nullPointer Exception". I don't understand, what I do wrong.

    Have you solved the problem?
What kind of data you have insert into this field:
    # objectClassNames
    # spmlClassNames
    # targetNames
    # IDMAttribute
BTW i try to connect 2 idm 8.1 using the connector 1.0.4828

  • Active Directory Connector Questions in 11.1.2.1

Hello All.  I am new to this version of IDM and I am trying to get through the setup and config.  I just installed a single instance of 11.1.2.1 with OUD, OAM, OIM.  I installed the Active Directory connector for User Management and I believe I have it configured.
I followed the post at Weblogic Corner: Oracle Identity Manager: The Active Directory Connector Tutorial and got a lot of questions answered with that.  First, note that I was able to follow the guide and run the lookup recon jobs as well as the user and group recon in trusted mode, then target mode to create all of the users and groups.  I am also able to create a user in OIM, add an account and have that provisioned to AD.
Here are my questions if you would be so kind:
    1) When I create a user in AD and I run the user recon(target), the event says "No User Match Found".  I was kind of expecting it to create a new user for me.  I was also expecting to schedule the recon job in target mode and not have to ever switch back to trusted mode after the first full sync.  What did I miss here?
    2) When I add an account to the user in OIM, the AD User form comes up with all the fields empty.  Is that the way it should work?  I was hoping that it would prepopulate some of the stuff from the OIM profile.
    3) When I modify a field in OIM, say middle name, will that sync in the next recon run, or will the admin need to open the account, update the AD form also and submit the middle name in two places?
    Thanks in advance!

    1. Identity gets created in Oracle Identity Manager from an authoritative source. in case of target recon, it will just sync with the matched account in oim.
please have a look in the below link seccion 12.1.12
    Managing Reconciliation - 11g Release 2 (11.1.2)
2.u can very well prepopulate filed in the process definition, even u can automate the provisioning process using  role based when provissioning process.
3.there should be some tasks available for each field. no need run the recon task or modify the account in AD. it will be updated in AD using the tasks. check the connector process definition.

  • AC Adapter Connector Question

Hello. I have a t400 with a 90 watt AC adapter. The connector for the adapter seems to be wearing out since the insulation is tearing and little wires are sticking out. Also when moving the laptop while it's plugged in, it flickers between battery power and AC power.
Here is a picture of the damage
    Link to picture
So my question is, is it safe to still use this charger with out damaging my laptop? Thanks.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

i would recommend that you stop using this adapter and get a new one.
A short circuit may cause the power adapter to catch fire, and/or your motherboard getting fried.

  • OEM to SCOM connector: Questions on installation and use

Just a few questions/concers about this connector. Mainly: has anyone used this connector?
    1. The install documentation appears to not be found on the Oracle Site and the connector isn't in the Microsoft pack download forum. if anyone knows a link to the install docs that actually works, I'd appreciate the link.
    2. The connector seems to be a .jar file. When opened it appears to be installing/connecting to web services...is this (web services) for the OEM communication from SCOm to OEM?
    3. There appears to be a SCOM agent bundled with the installation (jar file) and an xml file called 'OracleEnterprisemanager.Alert.Creator.xml'. i assume if we already have a SCOm agent instlaled you dont' need to instll the one that came with the connector? Does the 'OracleEnterprisemanager.Alert.Creator.xml' file get imported into SCOM (I assume so?)
I also wanted to know if anyone's using this connector and if it's stable or causes any unexpected issues on the OEM or SCOM side.
    Any input is appreciated!

  • Business Connector question

Is there a forum for specific BC questions ?
I am using BC version 4.7 and am looking to map IDocs to cXML documents. I am using SAP Lookup to view IDocs but there is no 'Generate' function available to create the IDoc on the BC side. The 4.7 documentation says it should be there, is there a trick to ge this working ?

    Hi,
    >>>Is there a forum for specific BC questions ?
    why not ?
    >>>The 4.7 documentation says it should be there, is there a trick to ge this working ?
do you use 4.7 BC developer and server ?
if so make sure you imported all fixes/patches for developer and server
    from service.sap.com/connectors

  • Nano 4G dock connector question

I've searched the forums for an answer to this, and come up with some relevant info, but just wanted to post my specific question to make sure I don't screw something up (hopefully) so I apologize in advance for any redundancy...I have a 3G nano that was given to me by a friend which recently gave up the ghost...when I recieved it, I got the usb cable to attach to my computer, and an apple ac wall charger...I just purchased a nano 4G and was wondering if the wall charger is compatible with it, which would be much more convenient than hooking it to my computer...I have read in the forums that the dock connectors on the two units are the same, but wanted to make sure this would work before I tried plugging it in...the old cords have places to push on the sides of the dock connector ends to release the "hooks" while the cord I got with my 4G does not, which makes me nervous...again, I apologize for any redundancy, but certainly don't want to screw up my new purchase.
    Thanks

I've tried both the Nano 4GB and the Video 30GB and noticed the exact same thing. In fact, on the 30GB I thought the connection was too loose. The Nano is definitely a snug fit though.

  • Syncing iPad & iPod...  device USB port cable connector question

I have an iPad & iPod 4th gen.... both syncing cables look identical..no identity markings on either. I'm not sure now which came with which device.
QUESTION: Are the syncing/charging ( know I can't charge iPad off USB port) cables given with purchase interchangable for these 2 devices?
    Thanks!

Yes, the cables work the same. It is an Apple proprietary 30 pin connector.
The chargers are different. The iPhone/iPod charger is 5 watt. The iPad charger is 10 watt. But you can use the iPad charger with iPhones/iPods because it is self limiting.

  • Connector question for IPAD & BOSE SoundDock system

What type of connector do I need to connect my IPAD to my BOSE SoundDock Series II Speaker? I've tried everything and tired of spending money for the wrong connectors. Help??
    Thank you!

One has a battery in it that recharges so it is portable. The other that doesn't say portable does not have the rechargeable battery.

  • Molex power connector question

I will be installing a PCI Express x1 card.  I have to connect a 4-pin molex power connector to the card.  I see 4-pin power connectors labeled P4, P6, etc.  Can I use any of them?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The card power header will dictate the type of plug you will use. I am linking connectors here because your confused. Although the molex, floppy, and ATX all have 4 pins, all are different designs. The ATX also has a different electrical output.

  • Fibre Connector questions.

Right now all our campus are using 62.5 micron fibre cables using SX GBIC termination. We are going to implement a 50 micron fibre cable on our new building, my question is. Do I need to add a specialize termination on the SX GBIC connector? Or if someone can point me to the right direction I would appreciate. Hope my question is understandable.

    Hello,
the SX GBIC works with 62.5 and 50.0 micron core sizes, so you do not need to add or change anything.
Check this link for a feature comparison of the various GBICs (scroll down to ´Table 1 Cisco GBIC Port Cabling Specifications´):

  • DBUM Connector Question

    Hello everyone,
I'm currently working with OIM 11g (11.1.1.3.0) and I've run into a bit of an issue:
I have 3 databases set up, designated by 3 IT Resources. I have the base DBUM connector customized with functionality, which works fine when directly provisioning (This includes custom prepopulated form data, etc.) Well, I need to be able to choose which database is provisioned to in the form of a request. I need a user to have the ability to go into the Self-Service section of OIM, and request to be provisioned to IT Resource 1 and/or IT Resource 2 and/or IT Resource 3, and then be automatically provisioned (taking advantage of the same customizations that a direct provision gets with the prepopulated form data). How may I go about doing this?

Create a request dataset having one field i.e. for IT Resource Selection.

  • Camera connector question

Does this new iPod fix the issue with the Apple camera connector and finally allow you to see the photos after they are downloaded without having to connect to a computer first?

    Hi Marry,
Is that mean you can view the photos straight after you download from the camera?
What about Movie clip that you take using digital camera, can that be downloaded and view? my digital camera captures MPEG4 movie clip, and I wonder if I can use the ipod as a portable storage device and in the same time play the movie I capture.
    Thanks for your help

  • IPod 30g video charger and dock connector question

It's time to get a new iPod, I have an ipod mini for about 2 years. I know the new one does not come with power adapter, can I use the ipod mini power adapter to charge the new ipod? I also want to know if the dock connector is the same because I have ipod adapter installed on my car. Thanks Alex

yes they do. supllied with the ipod video is a dock adapter so i think all you have to do is to take out the mini dock adapter and insert the one provided with ipod video.

  • Apple Photo Connector Question

I've just received the photo connector, which works great with my Canon camera.
I noticed it placed it into a folder called DCIM on the IPod, and I had a real pain putting this into iTunes and then syncing.
Whilst on holiday, I will not be taking my laptop - just my Ipod and Camera. Why does it need to sync first before being able to view the slideshows on TV?
All it would need to do is transfer the images (and thumbnails) into the correct folder on transfer and it would work straight away. Its a bit annoying.
Is this planned for the next software release (1.3)??

We don't know what Apple is planning for any future software release. Speculation is not allowed in this discussion area.
