Spool Over Writing Problem

Hi,
I have some problem with spool settings.I am running a report in the back ground it is creating a spool succesfully,but after few days the same spool is getting over writen by some other program spool with same job name.... how come this is possible ? any body please help me.....thanks in advance...
HariPrusad.

Hi,
this could be the effect that is described in the SAP-Note <b>422136</b>:
I've posted not the complete Note -
Symptom
a) The spool list assigned to a job step does not seem to belong to this step.
Solution
1. The spool number will be available again if the spool request specified in the LISTIDENT (table TBTCP) is deleted, for example, by activating the "Delete after output" option, or if the spool request reaches its retention period. If there is a large number of printing jobs, this number may be reserved again by a spool request. In this case, this new request is displayed from transaction SM37. It is not possible to obtain feedback from the spool request for the batch job. You can make this effect "more improbable" by increasing the spool number interval (note 48284). You will recognize this if you compare the attributes of the spool request in transaction SP01 with the job log. There should be a significant difference between the times displayed. The step information is stored in the TBTCP table which contains space for exactly one spool request (LISTIDENT field).

Stefan

    You need the 'Domain' file in which iWeb keeps its data. This lives by default in (user)/Library/Application Support/iWeb. You need to locate it on the old machine and copy it to the same position in the new machine. Note that it is the Library folder in your Home folder, not the one at root level.
    This folder is hidden on Lion and above; to access it, in the Finder go to the ‘Go’ menu and hold down the Option (Alt) key; the Library folder will appear as a choice. In Mavericks you can make it permanently visible - open your Home Folder the from the Finder's View menu, choose show View Options and check Show User Library.

    Go to the  menu/About This Mac - what OS version shows there?
    Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
    Revert to a Previous OS X
    Revert to Snow Leopard
    If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.

  • Using safari web pages have writing over writing hard to read

    I do a lot of surfing from web page to web page.  Lately it is very hard to read many of the pages as there is writing over writing.  Sometimes a section on the page is too small and I cannot read to entire content.

    Two main things you can try are to reset Safari, which can be selected under the Safari menu item and try deleting the .plist.
    You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist. Hold down the option key while using the Finder "Go To Folder" command. Enter ~/Library. Delete the .plist(s) for the application.
    If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
    http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/04/show-library-directory-in-mac-os-x-lion/
    You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.2. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

  • VI for measuring FRF having data writing problem

    Respected Sir/Mam,
                                        I have created a Vi for measuring the signal during modal analysis. The Vi is giving a very good signal but the problem is in writing the data. The no of samples is given as 10K and rate is 100k but it writes only 5k datas in the file. The signals are good but the data logging is the problem. I have attached the VI. Your earliest reply will be very much helpfull to carry out my further work.
    thanking you

     I first of all thank you for your valuable reply in the labview forum.                        I posted a question sayiny the " VI for measuring FRF ( Freqency Response Function ) having data writing problem"  Sir actually the data i am storing is to be further used for plotting the mode shapes.
                                1. When i plot the data i am not getting back the orginal plot that i acquired during my experiment.
                                2. No of samples to read i have mentioned is 10K. But the VI reads only 5K data.
                                3. The rate is given as 100K
                          Sir i have attached the image of plot which i got from the experiment.The experimental plot is good the problem is qwith the data being saved it in not completly storing the data.
                           The problem is VI is storing only 5K data from 10K it is missing 5K of data while writing to file. I am attaching the VI and plot.

  • Dv6-3123tx - is facing over heating problem?

    Hi All,
    I am planning to buy another LPTP
    my main requriment is :  intel  i5  ,  4 GB RAM ,  atlist 2.66GHZ cpu , 15" monitor.
    So that I have chk hp following model :  dv6-3123tx its cost is  Rs.50,000/- INR
    I have chked some review of  (dv6-3123tx) and some post is saying it is having over heating problem and hp is stoped to supply it in to the market.
    can any one will me guide me in this case. or pls suggest some model.
    I m from India
    my budget is up to Rs. 50,000/- INR =  $ 1050/- USD
    niranjan

    i have bought the dv6-3123tx about 2 months back and i wouldnot recommend it to anyone too.
    All i do i browse and sometime not even that. Leaving it on the table switched on make its go hot, so hot that you cant even type on the keyboard. And the sound the fan makes is annoying.
    The touchpad is also one big disadvantage. it makes a sound each time you click. So you cannot work unless you have a mouse. Right now its so heated up that i can barely type (mostly on the left hand side of the laptop.
    Also i was checking for remedies when I relaised that this laptop 3123 is not even listed in the HP products list:
    http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-001&h_lang=en&h_cc=in&h_product=4247579&h_client=s-s...
    If you perform a search with this name, you wouldnot get any results. I guess i better take it to the store immediately before it burns my hand, else i would have to use it as an omlette maker.

    MS Word for Mac does not yet support Arabic (or various other scripts). You should let MS know that you want that.
    I have had reports, however, that PowerPoint and Entourage in MS Office 2008 will do correct Arabic. Could you confirm that for me?
    For Arabic the best Mac word processor is Mellel. Others are TextEdit, Nisus Writer, iText Pro, NeoOffice, OpenOffice, StarOffice.

  • Records fetching & writing problem in Oracle DB

    Hi,
    Currently we are fetching 1 million records from Oracle DB , where we are using PreparedStatement and using the fetchSize() we are fetching the records in a "chunk" in an iterative manner and not feching all 1 million records at once. The same amount of records are passed to an utility to write the records in another DB table using addBatch() & batchUpdate() method. If the above operations in place, still the performance is not that great. Hence can we do the below:-
    1) Caching the records and reusing it, the problem here is the data is dynamic and there is no static data involved here, hence whether caching works here? If so we can go with which caching mechanism?
    2) Eventhough PreparedStatement is precompiled statement, is there any where we can have the SQL queries directly located to the database/prepared statement for the faster reading and writing of the data?
    Here the SQL queries are pretty simple "select" and "Insert" query , hence there is no need to fine tune the queries. Please clarify how we can go about this?
    Thanks.

If so we can go with which caching mechanism?So what.. the Oracle's database buffer cache is too small and incapable of caching data? Or is so badly written it is incapable of caching data effectively?
    And big powerful and wonderful application/application tier has a badass buffer cache?
    So why even bother with the database then? Why not fit the entire database in the badass app buffer cache, drop Oracle, and save money?
    If I seem to be foaming at the mouth a bit, it is because Oracle is technically the best RDBMS product on this planet. I process billions of rows (read and write) every single day on my largest database. Without any magic or potions, but by simply sticking to the fundamentals of data processing in Oracle. Then I run across a statement like yours that squarely places the blame for your performance woes on Oracle, and then want to reinvent database functionality, like a db buffer cache, in the app layer. Without a single shred of technical evidence that Oracle is actually the cause of the performance woes.
    And not a word about the latency it takes to get a million rows from spinning rust/disks (where it resides originally)?
    And not a word about the latency of pushing that million rows as IP packets (1500 bytes max size each) from the source database to the app, only to have the app sending that same data as IP packets to the target database? Effectively hitting the network twice with that data volume...
    2) Eventhough PreparedStatement is precompiled statement, is there any where we can have the SQL queries directly located to the database/prepared statement for the faster reading and writing of the data?How is the prepare statement now a problem? Have you actually timed it and have metrics that show it to be the bottleneck?
    Here the SQL queries are pretty simple "select" and "Insert" query , hence there is no need to fine tune the queries. Please clarify how we can go about this?Send data directly from the source database to the target database - single transit of the data volume over network.
    Make sure that network speed and bandwidth suffices - as this, and I/O latency getting data off disks, are the biggest contributors to elapsed processing time.
    If there is spare bandwith and I/O capacity, use parallel processing. Instead of using a single data stream process to get data from source db to target db, use multiple streams.
    Consider compression of data during the network transit phase, especially if the data volume is large and compresses well.
    Of course, the infrastructure can also be tuned/upgraded. Bigger and faster network pipes. Faster disks. Shorter network routes with fewer hops. Use QoS/DSCP on network layer to prioritise the traffic from source to target db. Etc,

  • Spool to PDF - Problems with downloading PDF file when converting with job

    Hi all!
    I've got a problem. I've got a program that writes a smartform into the spool. After that, I am using the function modules RSTS_GET_ATTRIBUTES and CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF to convert it into PDF. I retrieve a internal table with the binary content for the PDF file. Now i can download the file to the desktop by using the method cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download.
    But there is a problem: when the spool excesses 99 pages, the function module CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF asks the user via popup if the PDF should be created in background. If the user commits, the internal tables that should contain the binary PDF data is emtpy. A background job writes the binary data into the spool. The user has got an empty file that will be generated by cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download.
    So, is it possible to suppress the popup to create the PDF allways online? Or how can I write the PDF file if there will be create any spool id in background? You'll find my current code below.

    Creating a PDF file with over 99 pages through SAP seems rather unreasonable to me. What are you printing - Encyclopedia Britannica? For cripes sake... Have you thought about creating more than one spool request or using something completely different? Why do you have to do this through spool? You can get Smartform output directly into PDF, there are a lot of example out there.
    The only solution that comes to mind is rather brutal - create a copy of the function module and get rid of the popup. Although it just might time out after that...

  • Mangled file downloads over http problem in 10g

    I have a web app running in an OC4J stand alone 10.1.3.3 and am having a problem with downloading files over http. Its a struts2 app whose file downloading impl is easy to use and standard code for writing to an http servlet response output stream.
    Using the firefox plugin for Live Headers I can see that the headers are correctly added to the servlet response and I do get the file I want. However the file has been mangled with binary output around the text. This is the case for txt, word, or any other file.
    This problem does not occur in Jetty or Tomcat. I've also ruled out file corruption while going in/out of the database since I can upload a file when running oc4j, turn off oc4j, start up my app in Jetty and retrieve the same file just fine.
    The mime types are all accounted for and the problem exists regardless if I use a specific content type or just application/download. My browsers (firefox and ie) also recognize all files from the content disposition value "attachment; filename=myfilename.ext". Its just the file content that some how has been wrecked on the way out of the container.
    Has anyone experienced this? I only found one or two unanswered posts elsewhere.
    How can this be mitigated?
    Thanks in advance.
    Andrew

    Figured it out when I realized it was in fact the data coming from the database that was corrupt. There were some older posts on the hibernate website that pointed to a single property that needs to go in the hibernate.properties file: hibernate.jdbc.use_streams_for_binary=true. Without it, Oracle returns the Blob locator consistently 86 bytes in length and therefore bad binary.

  • WAP over GPRS Problem

    Hi,
    I'm using a nokia 6610 to retrieve a png file from my server via WAP over GPRS. The code works fine in the emulators. However on the phone I get this error:
    38 bytes: -
    <GARBAGE>not_acceptable<GARBAGE>
    Byte Values
    1 4 106 0 127 103 96 -24 70 24 3 98 97 99 107 0 1 50 1 3 110 111 116 95
    97 99 99 101 112 116 97 98 108 101 0 1 1 1
    I had a feeling that the wap gateway only allowed legitimate wml transmissions. So I connected to a wml page and it worked.
    I tried reading the file thru an asp page and that doesnt work. I embedded the data into the asp file and still nada.
    Any ideas??

    Hey shmoove,
    The problem is that the service providers over here have 2 flavors of GPRS
    1) Extended GPRS which allows http transfers
    2) MMS/WAP - self explanatory
    Frustrating!!! I wonder if j2me can be used for anything more than writing games for the next couple of years (till MIDP 2.0 phones get popular here) !
    Ok so as I see it, if I need to transfer images over the MMS/WAP(about 0.1% of targets will have the other ) gateway, its gonna have to be a WBMP file.
    This implies
    a) Redirect to WAP browser
    b) Get the image bytes, translate and create png from that
    c) write my own wml interpreter
    a. i'm sure is impossible
    b. implies studying both file encodings and figuring out a translation; painful but possible
    c. Not worth it
    See a better way?
    P.S. I canna figure out why
    "<wml><card><p>[PNG bytes]</p></card></wml>" gives <GARBAGE>not_accptable<GARBAGE>
    while "<wml><card><p>Hello World</p></card></wml>" works fine
    STRANGE!!!!

  • Spool to pdf problem

    Hello,
    I am converting imternal table data to spool and then to pdf using CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF in the report it self.
    But , its giving zero pages in pdf.Even executing the RSTXPDFT4 does not work.The type of data is RAW.
    I tries again by writing internal table data to report output , and i executed the report in background and it generated a spool no.
    RSTXPDFT4  works fine at this time.
    Is there any parameters that i need to pass.
    Thanks
    --Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep.
    I am facing the same problem hee, the table ids not getting updated at the run time. What other logic did you applied for the solution of this problem? Do let me know.
    Thanks.

  • Sapscript output(Spool) to PDF problem when viewed

    We have a number of documents which are output in Russian using the Cyrillic courier font within our Uincode SAP system. They look fine on the spool when viewed, print okay, and all look fine when converted to a PDF file (using RSTXPDFT4) and viewed via Adobe PDF viewer (vers 9.1.20), except one form, the invoice, which will not display properly in Adobe, showing square blocks with crosses through them when viewed. The strange thing is that when this same PDF is viewed via Sumatra (Open source PDF viewer) it looks perfect, but will not display via the Adobe PDF viewer, even though all the other delivery/dispatch docuemnts (all Sapscript) print and view fine via the Adobe PDF viewer.
    I guess I could suggest that we just use Sumatra from now on, but that is not really the answer when you have a multinational company which has Adobe already installed on all hardware as default.
    Has anyone come across this problem before. I was wondering if there could be anything in Sapscript that might have caused this as this is a copy of SAP standard Russian Invoice Sapscript (J_3RVINVOICE)?
    I'm going to check OSS to see if there's a fault with the PDF convertion program (RSTXPDFT4) but I would like to hear from anyone that may have encountered the same problem.

  • Mouse over flicker problem

    I'm fairly new to Flash and couldn't find the exact same problem in the forums so here goes.
    Flash CS4, Actionscript 3.0
    I have a button that I have a mouseover event making another button appear (thus making it look like a color change).  It flickers like crazy with the mouse over.  Any suggestions?
    Here's the page (mind you nothing on it but this so far) http://www.forepointusa.com/flash/qbooks/keyfeatures.html
    Here's the code: (IT is the button you see when you first look at the file.)
    import fl.transitions.Tween;
    import fl.transitions.easing.*;
    ITBlue.alpha = 0;
    ITBlue.y = 130;
    IT.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER,showIT);
    IT.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT,hideIT);
    function showIT(e:MouseEvent):void {
    ITBlue.y = 172.3;
    ITBlue.alpha = 100;
    function hideIT(e:MouseEvent):void {
    ITBlue.alpha = 0;
    ITBlue.y = 130;
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Is there a reason you don't use the one IT button and just use its Over frame to display it as blue?
    Note: in AS3, alpha ranges from 0 to 1 (not 100).
    To explain why you have what you have... I am assuming ITBlue is another button.  When you put ITBlue in front of IT you essentially block IT from the mouse, so you ignite IT's rollout function, sending ITBlue back out of the way, which ignites IT's rollover function again, and the cycle goes on unending.  If you hover just on the lower edge of IT, where ITBlue doesn't reach, you'll see it works as desired.
    The simplest way around this is to use the one button approach, as there will be no code needed for the rollover and rollout for what you have it doing now.
    An alternative would be to place ITBlue in its y = 172 position permanently, change IT to a plain graphic symbol, and use your current code assigned to ITBlue instead of IT, but again, it would be unecessary.
    Just some added info... An object that has its alpha set to 0 is still fully mouse interactive... an object that has its visible property set to false is not.
