Spool request settings

HI,
I am executing one transaction in Background and that generates one spool report.
however, the report rows and columns are cutoff after so many lines and we end up not getting a full report.
on the spool request attributes , SAP limits it is 65 rows x 132 cloumns.
please advise me if SAP rows and columns limit can be adjusted..

How to control automatic deletion of spool requests while check printing

hi friends
When i do cheque payment run (F-58), my spool getting deleted after printing. In my User setting SU01,
Delete after output is not selected, still it is getting deleted from spool. We have informed users to uncheck this option once the spool request is created at the end of this run. But our users feel there should be some way to disable/uncheck or save this option automatically rather than changing each spool request settings everytime the posting is run.
Please could you suggest me how to disable/uncheck this option 'Delete after printing if no errors' permanently. I have done the necessary settings in user master record but still it's the same.
please advice.

Hi Nathan,
Solution is only to maintain in SU01 , its picking from there only.
May be your user needs to log-off once status is changed in SU01, ask him to check what it is showing for him in SU3.
So if you deactivate option in SU01/SU3 , it should work as same is working in our environment.
You can test yuorself using below steps
1) Login with your ID , create one spool request
2) check the status in SP01 and check if its ticked or not
3) change the tick mark in SU01 , logoff. and login again .
4) create another spool request
5) check status now for new spool request in SP01 and check if it is ticked.

Converting the spool request to PDF format

Dear All ,
I am using RSTXPDF4 to convert a spool request to PDF format , when I execute this program by giving the spool number and dstdevic as Local , its giving   the message as " Spool request XXXXX with PDF data created ".
But the problem is when I open this spool request its printing the Junk characters ..!!!
What could be the problem ?
Please give me the solution for this...

Is this OK ...or am I need to do any changes in the settings...??
One more thing when I tries to give this PDF1 Dev type in my RSTXPDF4 input parameters its not taking !!!

Generation of Spool Request in F110 automatic payment progrm transaction

Hi All,
I am facing a problem of spool request for t-code F110.
for other transactions like F-58 and FBZ5 the spool request is getting generated.
but not for F110 t code.
I am creating a variant for each bank that I am using in F110.
Seperate cheque printing forms have been customised for the client. One of them is given as default in the FBZP settings. For that particular bank whose cheque printing form has been defined as default in FBZP, I am not specifying the alternate from in the Varint settings for F110. For all other banks I am specifying the Details in the alternate form in the variant for F110
But still spool request is not getting generated post the print command is given.
Kindly provide a solution

Spool request missing for Payment run

Hi SAP gurus,
I have executed one payment run, 87 payment orders have been generated. When i saw the spool request, it shows only 34 pages, rest other pages are missing. Even, system is showing status of spool as "waiting". I thought, it might be completed in few hours, already 1 day has been passed but no change. I generated spool couple of time but it always stuck at 34 page.
Can you please let me know, how can i print rest 43 remittance advice??? I would also like to know the cause of this error.

1. Check your variant in F110 (Have you restricted the vendor numbers in your variant on parameters) - Last tab on F110
2. If not, then in your spool, from menu bar, select:
Go to ==> Display Requests ==> Settings
Check the from page to to page. (Make to page as 999).
Ignore any warning messages.

Change Font size in Spool request

Hi,
Report output list is generated in spool.
used GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS and write statements.
The requirment is to increase the font size in spool.
Please let me know how can i approch regarding this.

Problem in Spool Request

Dear Friends,
I developed a smartform for customer it prints last form twice.
means suppost if i give 1 to 10 customers it is giving 11 forms( 1,2,...10,10) it prints tenth form twice.
Another problem is.. at spool request(sp01) i able print only 10 forms.
it is showing that only page 1 to 10 of 17 displayed.
Can anyone give me the suggestion

This is because the display area is too small.
Solution : To increase the display area, choose "Goto -> Request Display -> Settings". Note that this will use more main memory and may cause the transaction to terminate.
Please click on F1 help on the above message in SP01 to read more about it.

Spool Request Not being Generated.

when ever a PO is delivered as O/P spool request is not generated.
if we choose LP01 as printer Spool is being generated. if client printer or LOCAL printer is selected spool
is not generated. is there any settings to be done for generating the SPOOL request?
i need to get the O/P as well as i need to view the O/P in Spool also... please help me on this.

Hi,
go to SPAD-->check the spool setting generally for some outputs the if you check delete spool after output
then the spool will be deleted once the print is taken.
remove the setting ..
or go to t-code SU01 -->Under spool control -->remove the check mark for Delete after Ouput.

How many number of pages can be included in a single spool request

Hi Sam,
The spool is ultimately a file created in the database. So it can handle a large number of pages.
By defaut it shows only first ten pages.. This can be changed from the settings in SP01.

Just check this and let me know if it works.
What is the output type that you are using for billing documents (for printing) ?
Go to TCODE : VV32, VV33
Give your output type for printing here.
Give the sales organization say 1000.
On the next screen select your billing doc type and click on communication.
On the right side there are 2 check boxes
Try unchecking "Release after output". Just check the documentation
"Switch for deleting a print job. If the switch is set, the spool job is
deleted immediately after printing. Otherwise it remains in the spool
file after printing and can be printed again if required."

Add the output from two documents on to a single spool request

I have a situation where the Remittance output using transaction F110 goes to a spool request which triggers VF31 transaction to ouput invioices, these invoices go on to a separate spool. My requirement is that all the invoices related to the Remittance should print in the same spool request after the Remittance output? Is there any method that this can be done? Would an example be possible?

Hi Puneet,
do you have access to the print program, I mean, can you change it when the open_form function is called (depends on customizing settings for this transactions)? If so, you can change the ITCPO-TDNEWID. This will cause to print the next output into the former opened one. So you first output has ITCPO-TDNEWID = 'X', the second ITCPO-TDNEWID = ' '. Then they will be merged into one.

I run tx-VF31 (u201CPrint immediatelyu201D option of printer settings is unchecked). As a result, only one Spool Request is created and all the messages (outputs) are filled in this unique Spool Request. Is it possible to create one Spool Request for each message? I am using Smartforms and I have modified the parameters of its interface without success. The following parameters have been modified to u2018Xu2019:
OUTPUT_OPTIONS- TDNEWID
OUTPUT_OPTIONS- TDFINAL

By looping the messages what u r getting individually.....u will get all those messages in one spool request.

In my scenario, PO determined standard output type NEU which is in yellow symbol. when i investigate output determination, system updated output found however, spool request is not created when i i click on processing log. Any specific settings need to be examined.

Please maintain medium as 1-Print output and Date/Time as 4.
Press the communication Tab; and remove the tick of Print Immediately check box.
Also in addition to above chcek the default printer settings made for the users in SU3 T-code

OMJ3 configuration not picked up in spool request

Hi all,
I have configured the printer determination for an message output for 261 movements. When I check the testing data, one of the material doc, the message output shows the OMJ3 output type and printer being selected.
However, when i go to the spool's request, the spool request picks up the printer defaulted in my user's profile(SU3 transaction) instead.
When i remove the default printer in user's profile and perform a re-print, no spool request is created at all.
Seems that the printing of the GI slip seems to bypass the configuration at all, but strangely the material doc is picking up the output type and printer correctly.
Can anyone advise what could be the root cause for this? thanks.

2. Check Parameter, Printer, Parameter ID in SU3.
3. Have you defined Print code in Mov Type, check that.

REQUIRE One spool request for n copies in one print command in smartform

Hii Friends,
          I created a smartform..I require 5 copies of that form..There is a text which needs to be changed in evry copies...eg Original in first copy
                        Duplicate in second copy
                        Triplicate in third copy....n so on
So i used a loop n i am calling smartform 5 times....The problem is i need one spool request to be created..
Note: By default sometimes it create one spool request and sometimes 3 spool request...

Printing Several Forms in One Print Request
Use
You want to bundle several forms into one print job.
Print Request vs. Spool Request
SAP Smart Forms allows you to bundle several forms to form one output unit. This output unit is called a print request. A print request is different from a spool request:
Whether a new spool job is created in the spool depends on the settings in the spool dialog.
Whether a new print request starts depends on the standard parameters of the generated function module you set in SAP Smart Forms. For each print request, the spool dialog is called only once. If you suppress the dialog, you can pass parameters for spool processing only at the beginning of the print request.
This means that a print request gathers several forms before submitting them to spool processing. Thus they cannot be spread over several spool requests. Vice versa however, you can include several print requests into one spool request.
Procedure
Use function module SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME to retrieve the name of the function module generated from the Smart Form (see also: Integrating the Smart Form Into the Application).
Call the Smart Form for the first time and set the NO_CLOSE parameter of the control structure. This prevents the print request from being closed after accepting the output of the Smart Form and allows you to include all other form output into this print request as well. Leave the NO_OPEN parameter empty.
Instead of calling the Smart Form for the first time you can also call function module SSF_OPEN .
If you want to start a new spool request for the print request, set the TDNEWID field of the Output Options in this first call.
For all other form output of the application program that you want to include into the print request, use a loop to set both the NO_OPEN field and the NO_CLOSE field of the control structure.
To close the print request, in the call of the last Smart Form set the NO_OPEN parameter and unmark the NO_CLOSE parameter.
Instead of calling the Smart Form for the last time, you can also call function module SSF_CLOSE .
Result
The forms you called in the steps described above are included into one print request. If in the first step you started a new spool request, you can now view its status in the spool request overview (transaction SP01 ).
