Sports Templates

Okay I would like your opinions on something I'm going to try. I'm building some new templates for sports fans, coaches, little league, soccor moms, etc. I'm building the templates, creating every color theme possible and packaging up a collection of fun extra images you can use in the pages. Please take a peek at my preliminary pages (MN Viking's colors of course) and tell me if this is something you or others might find useful.
I got the idea after seeing a high-school football site done with iWeb.

I was using iWork for awhile before I realized that it had installed some cool new fonts. Check out this site.

A nice scoreboard font would be Synchro LET if you have it!

  • How can I edit a DVD Template for Premiere Elements 10?

    In previous versions of Premiere Elements, I would edit DVD Templates using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to include my logo and change the color or tint of the background. Now, I can only see the Fun template in the DVD Templates folder. I want to modify the Extreme Sports template, but can't find it now. Where are all the other templates located?

    Install the excellent 'Search Everything' utility and enter 'extreme' as a search term. Note that when you first run 'Everything' it takes time to index your drive(s). After that though it is a nearly instantaneous start.

  • How do i find highlight "templates" like the trailer options on imovie? I don't have much time for a youth sports team project

    I previously used imovie templates that had trailers and themes.
    I found this easy when short of time, in addition I just got Final Cut Pro X and I'm trying to learn on the fly.
    Does Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3 have these type of template features with music alread on them too?

    For 'my' soccer-team, I looked for something more 'individualized'.
    So, spend some days with Motion5, and I now have my very own titles and effects, fitting to team's colors and design.
    • the 'opener' is the team-logo plus some M5 ready-made background (plus a moving light)
    • the 'us vs. other' is another M5 ready-made, modified to our blue (instead original orange). you have to replace the opponents logo for each new game, but this is drag'n drop in M5
    • the 'score' title is some very simple a/b keyframing of a ball (I stole the graphic!)  'swooshing' accross a ready-made lower-third; using the 'export parameters'-feature within M5 allows me to type in FCPX into 'my' title template
    • the most complicated one is the scorer-card: I'm using a drop-zone in Motion5 which auto-rotates and -crops the players head (… no, not the head gets roated, the recording!); plus I exported the parameters for size/roate,/move to adjust the shot in FCPX again.
    looks like a lot of work (and this was my first real project in M5), you have to read/watch tons of tutorials (esp. to catch the incredible strength of 'publish paramters') and it is - but then, it is easy to use and 'my' ( ! ) very own design.
    spend once some hours, use it every time with a single click.
    (I don't use music, just lots of swooosh, brrrmmmpf, zzzzz, tchaccaboom sound-effects )

  • Very large file 1.6 GB..sports program for school. lots of photos, template where media spots saved and dropped photos in..trying to get it to printer swho says its too large but when reduces size loses all quality...HELP??

    Please help...large file my sons Athletic program. Had noto problem with Quality last year..this new printer said file is too large..too many layers, can I FLATTEN..He reduced size and photos look awful. It is 81 pages. Have to have complete before next friday!! Help anyone??

    At that size it sounds like you have inserted lots of photos at too large a size and resolution.
    Especially for a year book style project, first determine your image sizes and crop and fix the resolution to 300 dpi, then drag them into the publication. Pages does not use external references to files and rapidly grows to quite large size unless you trim and size your images before placement.

  • How to create Live Soccer/Basketball score templates in Premiere Pro CS 5.5 ?

    I have a video about a sport competition. You know, we all see these templates in TV/NET as a info table. It upgrades as score changes. I know it is easy to create it in After Effects. But I want to do it in Premiere Pro CS 5.5. I heard that we can create the template in Photoshop and put it in Premiere. If yes, how ? Is there any tutorial about it ?
    Additionally, I want score to change it by time pass. I can do it manually if there is no way...
    Thats what I mean (Click on the picture) ;

    Try the Photoshop forum.  The PS experts hang out over there.

  • New Template In Test - Take a peek

    I've just completed the prep of a new template I've named Aerolite. This puppy sports a pretty sophisticated nav bar for what we've seen in iWeb before. I was really pleased with the way it turned out.
    Demo site here: http://web.mac.com/sboben/iWeb/Aerolite/
    Features: Fully ghost-texted, Blog was setup to be the home/welcome page, includes a number of different photo gallery index pages and alternate photo pages, pages in light and dark backgrounds, calendars, separate events blog. There is a standard podcast page, I'm just not showing it in the demo. Looks similar to the blog.
    I have a couple of fixes I have to do - like the nav bar font on a couple pages. I accidentally did a mass replace on a font and changed the nav font from Lucida Grande to Verdana - oops. I'm also assessing the usability of the calendars - pretty slow to load. Other than that, it's nearly issue free out the gates.
    Let me know what you think - I'll make changes before I release this if enough people ask for something.

    Dear SBOBEN,
    I am a beginner just learning to walk and just today tweaked my website again, so my mind is fertile ground for any way in which I can expand my iWebsite horizon without having a high learning curve.
    What I saw when I clicked onto your URL was interesting and I know from looking earlier at your 11Mystics site that you are basically a person who makes templates etc to improve, change, alter, iWebsites and make them visually more interesting while keeping all of the simplicity of iWeb.
    I wish you could explain what this is because although I don't know the full impact of what you wrote in your post, I DO know that you come fully recommended among those people here who recognize good work. So, could you please explain this, not just to the pros here who know every amazing thing you did on a template, but to people like me who are new (I began July '06) and thirsty? I am sure that much of your finesse has gone totally over my eyebrows and I would appreciate an explanation so much.
    One thing I know that I want right now is: buttons. I want rectangular, square edged buttons for my Continued, Go to, Return to, pages. I know that professionally made buttons would improve the look of my pages.
    But mainly, could you explain what it is that you are doing? I would appreciate that so much. Thank you.

  • Template adds an extra ../

    I'm creating templates for my pages. The template includes a
    menu, and two main editable regions. The menu is not editable.
    However, when I apply this template to existing pages it is adding
    an extra "../" to all of my menu links. Anyone know why?
    The templates worked fine for my main pages, this is a
    template I am creating for subfolders...Should their be another
    template folder in the subfolder I am working on or is 1 main
    template folder sufficient?
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Yep - your template links are improperly made -
    (from DWT file you linked)
    <li id="first">
    <div><a
    href="../../index.html">Home</a></div>
    ----------------------^^^^
    This is not possible to get in a properly made template link.
    Go up one
    directory level and you are at the root of the site. There is
    no
    opportunity to go up a second level.
    <ul>
    <div id="box">
    <li><a
    href="../directions.html">Directions</a></li>
    <li><a href="../sitemap.html">Site
    Map</a></li>
    <li><a
    href="../text/home.html">Text-Only</a></li>
    </div>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>
    <div><a href="">Fall
    Sports</a></div>
    <ul><div id="box">
    <li><a href="b_soccer.html">Boys
    Soccer</a></li>
    --------------------^^^^^
    Unless this file is actually in the Templates folder (it
    should not be),
    then this link is also improperly made.
    All links in a template file should be correct with respect
    to the template
    file itself.

  • Cannot find Gymnastics menu templates in Premiere Elements 7

    I am looking for a Gymnastics menu for Premiere Elements 7.
    CraginJohn

    Welcome to the forum.
    If there is nothing in the included Templates, then I can only recommend that you look on Muvipix.com, as they have many additional, custom Menu Sets, though I do not recall a gymnastics set - but have never needed one. If you find what you do need there, there are two ways to get it - pay for the Menu Sets that you need, or subscribe to Muvipix.com, and then download everything, including the music, Menu Sets, etc., from that subscription.
    Good luck, and hope that you find what you are looking for.
    Hunt
    PS - I would also post to the Premiere Elements Forum (Community) at Muvipix.com, as many subscribers there know of additional sources, and also do a lot of school sports themed DVD/BD projects, and might have other resources for you.

  • Avisports template not rendering article for insite editing practice

    Hi,
    I have created a Layout Template from eclipse Sites plugin but and tried to render an article type using that template but I get the following errors in sites.log

    </html>
    </cs:ftcs>
    the result printed on title says +"This is my page {relatedArticle=null}"+
    I think the problem is on the way the asset is declared/created because when I hardcode the asset id in cid="${asset.relatedArticle.id}" in the template I can get the article rendered.
    Anyone has a hint where to look at for more info ? Thanks

    You know, we all see these templates in TV/NET as a info table.

  • Spry menu bar in template

    Hi,
    I'm new to dreamwever, but since it is really user friendly I
    already achived a lot.
    But I have a problem with the spry menu bar. What I want is
    the following.
    I have a template on which I want to place my spry menu on.
    That's what's already is working.
    The next thing I want is to have the backgroundcolor of the
    menuitems changed per page I created based on the template. Herefor
    I want to change the CSS. But since I placed the spry menu in the
    template I can't touch the CSS rule and so change anything in the
    CSS.
    My first thought was to place the menu in an editable region,
    but unfortunalty you can't place a spry widget in a editable
    region.
    Who can help me figer out what to do.
    Thanks in advance.
    Lesley

    <link href="assets/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css"
    rel="stylesheet"
    type="text/css" />
    This file is completely editable. That's where you would make
    the changes
    to the Spry menu's stying.

  • FLASH - Template or Tutorial Needed

    I am very excited as I have been given the ok to learn and
    develop a new flash site. I have seen many sites that have
    incorporated the concept of having 4 images underneath a main
    frame. When the images are selected, they populate the main frame.
    They also have a Left and Right Navigation Bar to scroll to another
    set of four images.
    I've seen these on the BestBuy site and the sports sites
    (NFL.COM is using this functionality to show the upcoming NFL Draft
    Order).
    I've researched and found a lot of information on carousels,
    however I do not think this a carousel although these seem to work
    in the simliar fashion. (Again, new to FLASH, I am sure I may be
    wrong). I've seen many of the carousel tuturials, but I do not know
    enough to scale it down to what I see on these other sites.
    I would appreciate it if someone could provide me with a good
    template to get started. Thanks in advance for any help you can
    provide this excited NEW FLASH devleoper.

    If you really want to learn, and not just use someone else's
    work, you need to be searching for tutorials on slideshows, not
    carousels. Just Google "AS# slideshow tutorial", where # is
    whatever version of actionscript you plan to use.
    You may not find exactly what you want, but if you learn how
    to create one, as opposed to just copying one, you should then be
    able to figure out how to modify it to what you really want.
