Spotify client on Ubuntu has started playing 2-5 ads in a row instead of the 1-2 that it used to be

I joined Spotify around Christmas time and have really enjoyed it. I had Premium for a while but then couldn't afford it any longer, so I had to go back to a free account. Now, I understand that Spotify's free service requires ads, and I'm totally fine with that, but I feel like recently it has gone from playing 1, maybe 2 ads every few songs to 3 - 5 ads in a row every few songs. I'm fine with having 1 - 2 ads every now and again, but having 3-5 ads lasting anywhere from 15-30 seconds each is really annoying. Now, I don't have screenshots of the ads back when I had to go back to free, but I do have this one from recently: They ads are mostly 15 second ones, but I feel like the number has gone up significantly recently and I've had other friends of mine who use free accounts say the same thing. I know I've seen other people reporting this same thing, I'd really like it if you fixed it. PS: Mods, sorry about posting this three times. I've switched browsers, so hopefully it won't do that again.

Yes. Here's what you do:
-Go to your First Menu page and scroll down to Settings
-Select Settings
-Select Playback
-Select volume limit
I believe that should allow you to adjust the master volume so your overall sound will be louder when you are using your ipod. Goodluck

Some other iPods (that are not shuffles) have an onboard setting to change the playback speed for some types of iTunes media, such as audiobooks. But a shuffle has no screen, to change such settings.

If that does not help, you may want to do a Restore on the shuffle. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings. The shuffle will be like it was when new, so this problem should be fixed.

The iphone starts playing music automatically when it connects to either of the car stereos via bluetooth and I don't want it to as it drains the phone battery. This is particularly annoying on the ford as the car stereo doesn't even support streaming music!
I don't want to lose the bluetooth connection as I need to make phone calls.

The iPhone is of no use until/unless the previous owner removes it from their account.
You will need to find the prior owner or return the iPhone.

That said, using Finder on my MAC I can see thumnails of ALL my images which sit within my Pictures Folder. Equallly on my back-up on the Mac's Time Machine all versions of same images are present. Any solutions?

It means that the photos have been moved or renamed or deleted outside of Lightroom. (Hint: don't do that)

DVD Player has started playing PAL DVD's on external PAL display very badly

I have my Early 2006 iMac connected to an external HDTV (Mini-DVI->HDMI)
Using display options I can switch the external display easily between NTSC and PAL refresh rates.
It used to be that apple's DVD player could play a PAL dvd just fine on the display but now the frame rate drifts in and out of sync as though it no longer understands that the TV is set to 50hz.
Although I used to use DVD player all the time I haven't done so for quite some months so I don't know when this started happening although I have a feeling that it was with a recent OS X update.
I say this because a few months ago all of a sudden the same thing happened with Elgato's EyeTV, but they issued a patch sometime later and it fixed the v-sync issue for their app.
I'm also wondering if it may be a de-interlacing issue rather than a v-sync issue but I'm not sure, I've tried various DVD's.
I have tried deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer but this hasn't helped.
If it's relevant, my iMac has an ATI Radeon X1600
Any ideas why DVD player has started having trouble with 50hz displays and how I might fix it?
Failing that, is there a good (hopefully free) dvd player alternative which is better at handing external displays of varying display modes?

I suggest that you create 15-second silent audio slug that you can use to move the audio the same amount you have moved the video.

My macbook pro has started playing adverts, even when i'm not on safari, what should I do?

For the past few days my mac has started to play adverts, just the sounds. It usually starts after ive been on the internet for a while, and it won't stop when I close safari. The only way to get it to stop is to shut my mac down completely. I deleted all my cookies and incresed security but that hasn't helped.

Pull the question marks off the Dock and let go, drag new icons of the app down to the Dock from the Applications folder.
Try another restart in Recovery command R.

ITunes radio starts playing after I check email. What can I do to stop that from happening. It is a nuisance to open iTunes and pause the song playing.

On my iPhone 5c, after I check email or other apps not related to phone use, frequently iTunes radio starts playing. I have learned to open app and pause the song being played. Is there a way to not have that happen?

It's not a good idea to post your email address on public forums, I've asked the hosts to remove them.
All content is tied to the account that downloaded them, and you can't currently transfer them to a different account. If you don't know the password to that account then you can try getting it reset via this page http://iforgot.apple.com . If you can't get it done that way then you can try getting access to the account by contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page. If you get access to it you can then change the primary email account on it to one that you have access to : http://appleid.apple.com

The problem is that there is a limit for creating new iCloud accounts from a device and if the previous owner already created three accounts with this iPhone you bought from him, then you would have to use another device in order to create a new one.
