Spotify does not install in Windows 10 (After upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 10)

I din't have spotify in Windows 7 when I upgraded to Windows 10. Now that I am in Windows 10 I am trying to install spotofy and all I see is the endless "downloading spotify" and it stays for more than 12 hours like that, then I am trying to close it and abort the installation and it has been another 6 hours now with the window 'spotify installer .. Aborting" message Anyone with similar issue ? ADDED:After restarting a couple of time, then I used the new browser Edge to download it and it installed fine. Seems like I had hit a nag when I did tried to installed it before, don't know if the server was to busy and it didn't downloaded, but this time it worked and now I'm fine.

Just a quick tech question, was you by chance on a normal user account without Admin rights when trying to install the Spotify desktop app? Just curious so I can point users to this issue so you get credit for finding a fix?

Try this. Worked for me.
- turn off your router
- turn off you Mac's after removing all available printers
- turn off all iDevices
- do a factory reset of your printer remove all cables min. 30 sec.
- turn on your router first
- ran the network set up wizard
- give your printer also a new name like "DeskJet 2015"
Something which you don't have used before.
- turn on your Mac's and add your printer
- turn on your iDevices at least.
Should work after these steps.
It worked for me including all iDevices.

Laptop does not shut down completely after upgrading to Windows 10!!

Ever since I installed Windows 10 64-bit, the PC does not shut down completely. The screen gets blank but the power button is still lit up...Have to manually shut down by holding the power button... Same issue anyone? Any solution or workaround? @HP??

I also have this problem, and have resorted to leaving the computer in Sleep mode when not in use. This is OK as a temporary fix, but is not a permanent solution. This is clearly a problem with HP computers and I would hope HP are aware of the need for urgent action to resolve the problem. I also hope that Microsoft gives them full cooperation. HP and Microsoft, are you listening?

I have been a long time user of Elements. I recently upgraded to 10 and it no longer recognizes my printers. It says that I need to install printers. When I look in Windows my printers are still installed and work with other programs. The forum wants my to set a photo printer as a default, but i use a laser printer as a default for word processing. This seems to be a serious problem for more than just me.

You're not talking to Adobe here. The responders are users, like you, trying to help. Did you rename one of the HP printers, as suggested?

Reschedule does not update schedule line after upgrade

After upgrade to ECC6.0, the reschedule does not update EKET any more but it update ekpo as usual.I debugged it , before the function module SD_BACKORDER_**_SAVE everything is ok.
I also checked the sap note for the new field in T161V.But When I choose other option about customzing. eket are updated every time when the reschdule program run.This will lead double delivery.
Do you have any suggestion？

BINARY SEARCH does not work as before after upgrade

We recently upgraded from HRSP 26 to HRSP 40 as well as similar upgrades in non-HR areas on our ECC 6.04 system. We've been in SAP since 1998, and have a lot of old custom programs which were written when we were still new at ABAP. In a few, we put records into an internal table sorted the table, maybe added a few more records to the table, and did a READ BINARY SEARCH. Granted, this is not correct, adding records to a table after it is sorted. But these programs have worked for more than 10 years and now, since our upgrade, the READ BINARY SEARCH does not always find a record where it did before the upgrade.
So this is mostly just a heads-up. If you are missing data in reports after upgrading, this might be the issue. Also I am wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Hi Janice,
you did not give any context. Please note that it is a popular error to think that a SELECT statement will fetch data in order of the primary key of the table - although it happens quite frequently. So always first sort, then binary search.
Probably not related to upgrade.

Oepe claims domain version does not match running server after upgrade

Hi,
we've just upgraded our server and development environment:
OEPE: from 11.1.1.6.1 to 11.1.1.7.2 useing the eclipse update functions (help-> check for updates)
Weblogic 10.3.3.0 to 10.3.5.0 using wls1035_upgrade_generic.jar from oracle support.
The servers seem to run fine and so does eclipse.
I can add the local (upgraded) weblogic devel server to the eclipse server list and deploy jee files. However, the remote server were not validated after the upgrade:
"Oracle Weblogic Server 11gR1 Patchset 4 at [remote host] [Stopped, The domain version does not match the running server.]
Removing and adding the servers again got the same result. The servers are running in development mode and are running. Where is eclipse checking / comparing the versions ?

thanks for the replies.
checked the config.xml:
there are two elements domain-version and configuration-version set both of these to 10.3.5.0
I also created a new domain. The config wizard script only gave me the option to create a domain based on 10.3.4.0 but when i went through with the setup the 10.3.5.0 and i could add the server to eclipse.
I cannot add the original domain though i'm now getting the error "The domain path does not match the running server." And i can't say whether this is because i added the new domain or modified the config.xml.

I am guessing, this is not the end for accessing to my iphoto (last update) library, my life memories, but after upgrade to OSX Yosemite, my iphoto library, located on time capsule (+/- 50G) does not load at all. I have sent the report to Apple.
I am, worried to save or see my pictures back.

That is a bad idea
1 - since you have files on the same disk as your backup you have no backup for those files which apparently includes you photos - having no b means it is just a matter of time until you lose them
2 - The TimeMachine backup grows until it fills the volume it is on - when the TC is full iphoto (and maybe other programs) will stop workig due to lack of space
You need at least two external hard drives - one for the iPhoto library (this one needs to be directly connected with a fast wired connection like Thungrbolt, Firewire or USB and be formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) ) and a separate EHD for you TM backup

IPhone does not work in car after upgrading to os5

After upgrading to os5 my build in hands free device does not work properly anymore, lot of noise, disconnects, connects in general not usable anymore.
How to fix this?

Does your aftermarket solution connect to the Nano's headphone jack or to the dock connector?
If it connects to the headphone jack I would suggest buying an iPhone headphone adapter. I'm expecting mine to arrive via FedEx tomorrow so that I can use my iPhone in the car with a cassette adapter.

IPhoto does not recognize iPhoto Library after upgrade

Machine: iMac, OS 10.8.2, iPhoto 9.4.1
Symptoms: After upgrading iPhoto to 9.4.1 I cannot open my iPhoto library of some 30,000 photos. I can see the library in the finder, but iPhoto doesn't want to link to it. It did show in the library pane briefly the Events and Pictures at the full count, but then dropped to zero.
Actions: Opened iPhoto with the OPTION key to specify which library iPhoto should use. Not effective.
Opened iPhoto with the COMMAND AND OPTION keys and ran all actions from repairing permissions, rebuilding thumbnails, repairing the database, and rebuilding the database. Results: 3 Events and 265 Photos. 32,577 photos in Trash.
What steps will restore the Library to its original state? Will this restore meta-data, captions, events, dates, etc?

I have a similar problem with the iPhone. Tried everything you can think of and then some. There is apparently some devastating bug 7.6 introduced into normal USB device recognition. I've been able to force the phone into recovery mode; the boot recovery USB driver does still work. Restoring the phone every time I need to sync is both scary and time-consuming.

Itunes 10 does not 'see' my iphone after upgrading my Imac to Snow leopard

I just upgraded my iMac to Snow Leopard 10.6.3. When I plug my iphone (4) (USB), Itunes does not sync my phone, and it does not even appear as being connected to my iMac. I dont have any other issues.
I should add that I always have connected my Iphone through the USB on the keyboard, as I dont have enough USB slots in the back. This has worked just fine in the past. The keyboard is wired.

Try plugging it into one of the USB ports on the Mac itself and see if that works.

I don't think this is related to the above question, but the linked "solution" is as good as I can come up with, however it looks like its possible that ALL the libraries in the collection are suffering the same situation...
WHATS HAPPENING:
our site was migrated to 2013 from 2010 from 2007 and is running in compatability mode around 6-18 months ago. I'm pretty sure the old system is gone too - database backups might be obtainable... not sure.
There are a bunch of "site columns" that are used consistently across the collections libraries (there seems to be a general avoidance of "content types", don't ask me why, I don't know, I also don't know what would be involved in moving
them all to content types as many of the sites "views and webparts" use the content type columns to surface things all over the place, so I suspect it would be a big job), but folks have recently noticed that some documents are missing from various
pages (webparts that are gathering documents from these columns values).
But the problem is that it seems that since the update most (all?) of the document libraries NO LONGER enforce the requirement and litterally only show "name*", and "title" in display and edit properties...
Any ideas on how to get things back to showing the "proper" forms (I can only guess what this was from documentation and screenshots and general guessing based on the "commonness" of the columns in question)? Or is there a way to merge
or migrate "columns" to content types in some way that is either "collection wide" or non-breaking?

So just to be sure are you saying that '2010 compatabilty mode' is causing these issues?
Just to be SUPER clear from my end this is what I'm seeing as an example;
For a collection
with site columns
many but not all lists
many but not all list items
--> are missing valid data in the site columns that have been registered for that list.
sample:
name          modified by    doctype     department
item1.docx   username   <blank> <blank>
item2.docx   username    WorkInstruction    Planning
if you click "edit properties" you are presented with ONLY the (I'm guessing) content types fields (eg: for Document you get Name and Title) and NONE of the other fields that should be specified.
However if you hit "save" you can see that the data in these fields returns to the "list view" (however it does not re-enable these fields from being active in the View/Edit properties pages).
Is this something that can be fixed? Or are you saying that we need to backup the DB and restore to a FULL version (not in compatability mode) of SharePoint2013? Or are you saying we need to revert to our PRE update backup and do something?
Its been many months since thsi upgrade was done and the system has changed a lot, so you can imagine we are reluctant to loose much of these changes...

Video app does not report disk usage after upgrade to iOS7

Ever since upgrading to iOS7, the Videos app reports “No Data” under General->Usage, even though I have a number of movies and TV Shows downloaded from iTunes. Downloading additional content or deleting all downloaded content and re-downloading does not affect the result - it still reports “No Data”. I have confirmed that these videos are downloaded to the device and not on the cloud, and remain accessible will all cellular and wi-fi connectivity disabled. This behavior occurs on both my iPad Air (currently on iOS 7.0.4) and my previous iPad 3 (Retina).
What can I do to correct this issue and have iOS correctly report video usage?

I'm having exactly the same issue and I'm yet to discover a solution. The vast majority of my 64GB iPad Air is compromised of video content (HD movies) but the Usage section of Settings shows 'No Data'. Very weird. Would love a fix for this as it's kinda hard to manage my data usage when I'm not seeing all the facts!
