Spotify doesn't play last song of album or playlist

In the desktop Windows app, it's been a common occurance for a few Spotify adds to play after the second to last song on an album or playlist.  Then after the adds are done, it doesn't play the last song on the album or playlist and performs as if you're done listening to your selection.  It can be annoying to have to manually play a song you wanted to hear because it was the last song and didn't play for some arbitrary reason.  Can you please check on this? Thanks!

Hello:
Which Spotify desktop app version, and which Windows version are you currently using that this is happening with?

  • ITunes 7.0.1 doesn't finish last song of album

Since upgrading to 7.0.1, iTunes plays all the songs of an album, incrementing the play-count, except the last one, where it ceases to play, 0 secs from the end, without incrementing the play count.
Is there any way to kick it into actually finishing?

I have the same problem. It's very annoying. This happened to me sporadically in iTunes 7.0.0 - it happens EVERY time in 7.0.1.
It doesn't only happen on albums - it also occurs on every playlist, and on every set of search results - when it gets to the end of the last track in the set, it hangs.

  • IPod mini doesn't play ANY songs!!! Please Help

My iPod mini doesn't play any songs. It doesn't play purchased music from the iTunes Music Store, ripped CDs, or ANYTHING. On the iPod I go to play a song but the music time counter remains on 0:00. When it does this faint sounds of the song trying to start can be heard, but then a lot of static comes up. A song did start once but it stoped at 7 seconds. I've tried the 5 Rs and everything I can think of! Please Help!

  • After loading the new OS now my songs do not play correctly. Titles are wrong on songs and it just doesn't play certain songs in random play or even if you select them individually. What's up? Kind of frustrating!!!

After loading the new OS my songs do not play correctly, is anyone else having this issue? Titles are wrong on songs and it just doesn’t play certain songs in random play or even if you select them individually. What’s up? Kind of frustrating!!!

I had the same issue.  In fact I posted it yesterday, but didn't get any replies.  I physically synched my phone to PC iTunes.  on the PC, under the phone/music tab, I unchecked the synch music box and then the apply button to remove all of the music from my phone.  Then once that synch finished, I went back and selected all music, and synch music and apply to put it back on to the phone.  So far, I haven't had an issue again, but I also haven't listened very long.  Hope this helps!

  • HT204406 I have purchased match but when i try to play a song from the cloud on my ipad it displays a message of " cannot connect to iTunes Store" and doesn't play the song. i have reset both devices.

I have purchased match but when i try to play a song from the cloud on my ipad it displays a message of " cannot connect to iTunes Store" and doesn't play the song. i have rest both devices.

I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.) Or maybe it was they had me transfer a folder to the EHD. I don't exactally remember it was a few years back. But I tried to plug in the EHD before starting and...nothing. Still says same thing, "locate file."

  • The album artwork on my iTouch looks correct when I am scrolling through, but when I play a song the album artwork shows an incorrect image.  How do I fix this?

For example, when I am looking through my albums, the artwork is right.  When I click on an album and play a song, the album artwork is incorrect.  When I go to iTunes and try to look at the artwork, it is correct.  What do I do?

    A couple of other possibilities:
The CD is dirty / damaged / suffering from "CD Rot" - sometimes CDs may seem to play fine on a CD player (or using the CD-player function of a PC) but will not transfer correctly to a computer - this is the result of the way that CD players auto-correct the datastream from the CD where PCs, when reading the audio CD as data, do not.
Enabling the error correction function in iTunes import may alleviate if not fully resolve this
Use an alternate tool to extract the audio from the CD - Exact Audio Copy is probably the best out there, as it can be configured to attempt multiple reads of every audio sample on a CD to get a consistent result.  Then import the resulting files into iTunes.
You don't say whether this is specific to one CD as in the original poster's case, but the "crackling" symptom has affected a significant number of users of the 64-bit version of iTunes 12.1.0.71 - these are mostly addressed in the most recent update (12.1.1.4), but if nothing else works it may be worth trying this alternative installer: iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)

  • Click to play a song and album covers start to multiply!

Two new issues with my iTunes. When I click to play a song for some reason the album cover will start to multiply and I will have 3 or 4 duplicate album covers. This ISN'T an organizational issue. I am incredibly meticulate when it comes to organizing my iTunes, so incorrect album info is not the problem. Also recently I tried to play a song and it wouldn't load, even though it is in my library. So I removed the entire album from my library, and then added the whole album folder again, but the only song that will load is the one that wouldn't origionaly play. Now it won't add the album, even if I try to do it song by song. When I click to add, it just doesn't do a thing. The file directory and path is correct, and the files do exist on my computer because I can play them in windows media player.
Any help here would be very apprecieated.
    Cheers,
    Kurt

My best guess would be to reset the iPod by holding the home and power button for about 15 seconds or until Apple logo appears. No data will be lost in this reset.
Other than that, I do not know what the cause could be.

  • IPod won't show up on itunes or mac, freezes, and doesn't play bought songs

Okay i have four issues with my iPod
    1. It won't show up on iTunes or on Mac desktop
    2. When i plug it into the USB port it freezes and say 'Do Not Disconnect'. It will not come out of this
    3. Every single song i have bought won't play on my iPod. They transfer fine, but when i click on a bought song it simply skips over it
    4. I authorized this computer but songs still need authorizing, and i have already authorized them
So we bought a new Mac and i plugged in my 30 GB video iPod for the first time. It showed up in iTunes then so i synced it to our new computer. Then i tried to listen to my bought songs and they simply wouldn't play. The iPod just skipped over them. I had one song out of three hundred or so that were bought actually play. Then i tried reauthorizing my new computer and getting rid of all the old computers that had been authorized. That didn't work, and the songs that actually needed to be authorized wouldn't be authorized even when i clicked on them.
So then i unplug and just listen to it as is for awhile but then i try plugging it in again and it just doesnt show up on my Mac desktop or iTunes. And the screen becomes frozen with the same message, 'Do Not Disconnect' I wait for a half an hour for it to show up and it never does. I have no choice to unplug it and then it is still frozen with that same message. Five hours pass, and it is still like that. It finally goes off and then it simply doesnt work. So i plug it in to my charger and its fine except the whole not playing bought songs business.
Please i beg if you have any answers to any of these problems HELP!!!!!

  • Ipod doesn't play the songs! please help!!

when i try to play a song, the title of the song just like sits there but it doesn't play, like the numbers don't go forward, it just sits at 0:00. It isnt frozen because i can change the volume and do everything else. When i click the middle button to toggle from volume to how far into the song i am, if i scroll over a bit to make me further in the song, it just changes to the next one.
Just now i tried going to the next song or something and whats happening now is every song i have is like popping up on the screen, like its scrolling through all my songs one by one till it got to the end and now its at the main menu.
    Can anyone please help????

  • My ipod g2 doesn't play any song or any sound

my ipod doesn't play any music or sound but the earphones are new

Do you download your songs, via eg. kazza, limewire, winmx etc?
If so, make sure that you do not move them into another folder.
eg. You download Song from Limewire called 'The Apple song'
'The Apple song' goes into Limewire folder. You play the song in iTunes - Fine, but when you move the file into another file, the PC/Mac will not recognize the new path.

  • Last song on albums not matching?

    Anyone else had this happen?
Seems 70 percent of my non matching songs, are strangely the last songs on the albums.
This has happened with songs I originally ripped from CDs, downloaded from iTunes,
as well as Amazon and other stores.
I've been told they could be corrupt? If so, any reason the last tracks would be more likely to be corrupt
    than any others?
    Thanks
    G

It may be because of the new way to organize the songs in iTunes. If you go to your library in iTunes, at the top right, you will see 3 view selections. Click the middle one. This organizes the songs by album. Pick a random album, write down the order of the songs, and compare it to the order on your iPod. Just a thought.

  • My iPad doesn't play many songs anymore. On the iPod the same songs play though so its not due to the audio file. What can I do?

My iPad doesn't play a lot of songs anymore. They are on the iPad, I can access them, but when I press play it won't play them. I've got the same songs on mi ipodtouch and there it's absolutely fine and I can listen to them so it's not due to the audio files. What can I do?

The reason the alphabetical sections aren't showing is because you don't have enough songs. In order for them to show, you have to have a certain number of songs. ( I think it's 40 ).

  • Shuffle freezes, doesn't play next song, plays only one song

    Hi!
Okay, so my ipod is offically broken. I got it as a b-day present in the summer of 2005, and i had to send it back once because the battery broke. This friday (yep, friday the 13th) it broke when i was waiting for my bus.
it plays one song in the beginning, then it stops. if i press the next button the shuffle stops. however the reverse button works, but it goes in a cycle(and no, i am NOT in PIO). Also if I fastfoward into about a minute into the song, and then press next, it works. That is for a little while. It basically does the same thing in PIO.
The pause and volume buttons work fine.
When I plugged my shuffle into the computer, it didn't even recognize it. If i can get the bootex to load without crashing the computer, which it does now, it says that the shuffle is dirty.
I've download itunes 7, reinstalled itunes, charged my shuffle with the wall adaptor, placed the shuffle in all of the USB ports(yes ALL of them), and i restarted my ipod.
This is a fairly recent development, but i had placed homemade recordings that i created with my camera on the shuffle. it worked fine on the 12th, after i updated my shuffle, and it was working on the morning of the 13th, until i accidently clicked the next button. Weird thing was that i clicked the next button earlier that morning, and nothing happened.
I tried to provide many details in hopes that some one knows a quick and easy fix.
my problem sounds very simular to bcructh.
    thanks, lindz

I don't think that it has to do with the itunes 7 though.
I just install it today, and my shuffle broke on friday.
I really hope that some one is going to answer this SOON because i am NOT looking forward to a busride with smelly, loud, self-center freshmen (they really do smell, I'm not trying to be a jerk, and they are self-center and EXTREMALLY loud for 6:30 in the morning) with out music.
