Spotlight not generating results

I have an issue where the spotlight search does not pull results, or sometimes filters out correct results the more narrow my search. For example, if I look for my friend "paul", and type "pa", paul will begin to show up, but when I complete it further "paul", I suddenly do not have any of my friends name paul listed.

I think some of the Spotlight problems were fixed in the last OS8 update.

Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer not generating results

I am using Acrobat.com to track my quiz results. I currently have 26 modules, however 5 of them will not show results in the Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer. I have tried the quizzes myself and posted the results, however it is still not showing results for the 5 courses. Any suggestions as to why 5 of the courses aren't generating?

Spotlight not including results it obviously should

My spot light is not including document/files that are in plain view. How do I get it to reindex or fix itself?

they are in my documents folder. I search a word like BOARD which is in the title of at least 10 documents and spotlight returns nothing when i see them right there in my documents folder.
all spotlight search preferences are checked that can possibly be checked.
i would like to force a reindex as a first step but don't know how to do that.

Spotlight not showing results of system Apps in Spanish

I'm using a Intel Core2Duo imac with 10.4.8 and 1 GB of RAM. I've been able to use the spotlight searchs for aplications from the beginings, but since 2 weeks ago I can't find any application of Apple Mac OS X which are in Spanish (for instance: "Preview" is "Vista previa", "Disk Utility" is "Utilidad de Discos").
If I want to find and launch "Vista previa" I have to write "Preview".
This is a problem I haven't before and I don't know how to solve. I've already re-indexed the entire volume. What else can I do?

Turn Spotlight Suggestions on and off a few times. If it still doesn't work try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.
I'm using a iPad but I can't see that making a difference.

Spotlight not Indexing (or showing any results)

Spotlight isn't working at all for me in Leopard. I had just done a format and clean install of Leopard, all apps and fully updated OS and apps patches. It's been 2 days now so I'd expect Spotlight would have indexed everything. However Spotlight returns no results for anything typed in the search box. Nothing.
Could the following be related? When I open Spotlight preferences>privacy and try to add ANY of my drives to the prevent list, it returns this error for all drives: "Privacy List Error. the item couldn't be added or removed because of an unknown error."

I fixed it and want to post what worked for anyone else with this problem. Spotlight would not return ANY result after the clean Leopard install. I cleaned out ALL the caches with the program Cocktail Leopard edition. That did the trick. Instantly Spotlight began indexing my drives. While I've used Cocktail for years I also found a program called "MainMenu" which has an actual button for "Re-index Spotlight". I didn't need it because Cocktail worked. But should cocktail not work for you I would try MainMenu next.

Here, the called report will be executed in background.
here the job is completing but the spool is not generated.

It seems that the final internal table which has the output data is empty & hence write statements are not executed ( assuming all the write statements are inside a loop).
Place one write statement outside loop like
write :/ 'Following is the result :'.
& check whether spool is generated. If yes, then the problem is of empty internal table.
You can select the job in SM37 & type JDBG in command prompt to debug a background job.
Debug & check the issue.

Planning File Entry not generated for items releveant to PM

MRP procedure used for material is reorder based planning , in April -09 the stock for this material is consumed and becomes
zero (reorder point is 8 ,Maximum Stock Level is 8 ) and after that in MRP run the requirement is not generated .
But as per the setting of reorder point PR should be initiated.
When checked the MD21 , material is not flagged ,
I want to know the specific reason why only this material is not flagged for MRP run.
What all settings i can check ?

Lot size : Repl. to max. stock level after cov. req

Run the reports MDRE & MDAB to ensure the planning file entries are correct.
About your query what might have caused a entry not to be in planning file, well it could be many. So run the above reports & then run MRP & check the results.

After the last update that was pushed out by Adobe, my Acrobat 9 Pro will not generate a PDF file from; [right click], Combine files into one PDF multiple files chosen in the explorer. A message pops up asking if I want to run repair. Answering in the afirmative results in another message stating files are missing. And we are back at square one.

What is the exact error? Else you could always reinstall your software.

The RFUMSV50 program does not generate transfer lines of deferred VAT ,
The context is the following one:
Code VAT Created with code target VAT, general account of VAT also created,
Rule of deferred VAT created and activated for the company code in question, with marks to compensate for check.
The data of tests are the following ones:
Creation of an invoice via the FB60,
Integral payment of the invoice via F-53,
Creation of the confirmation of the operation in bank via the manual statement FF67,
Clearing of the intermediate banking account with the bank account via F-03.
After all these elements, by executing the RFUMSV50 program, I have nothing in result.
There somebody who had the same problem, could help us?

Service Tax credit cannot be utilized unless the Vendor Invoice is Paid. This is the reason till the payment is done the service tax Amount will be accumulated in deferred tax account and once the invoice is paid the balance in deferred tax is need to be transferred to respective Service Tax , Educational Cess and higher Education Cess account. There can be various business scenarios for full and Partial Payment to facilitates the transfer of such deferred balance to respective account SAP has come up with some new standard program RFUMSV50 instead of RFUMSV25. To overcome the limitation of this program i.e. not able to take care of more than one tax line item, below the solution is provided with scenarios “Full Payment is made to Vendor Invoice”.

Request Number is not generated for BRM "new" role creation

Hello Gurus,
I have configured BRM in SAP GRC AC 10, along with the workflow .
I have selected the following methodology
Define Role --> Maintain Auth >Analyze & Access Risk>Request Approval>Generate Roles>Maintain Test Cases
Role name : Y_TEST_BRM_FUNCTIONALITY
So i do the following steps and assign
1) Role approver as Mr. ABC & Alternate approver as Mr. QRS
2) Assign the Required transactions and do the RAR i.e i am done till step 3 of methodology
When i click "Initiate Approval request"
The approval triggers , and goes to the 1st stage as configured in MSMP
1) Power User Approval .
Here the Power User : EFG , open his workflow and see the request as
Role approval required for role Y_TEST_BRM_FUNCTIONALITY
The approver approves the request and then the request all together vanishes.
Unfortunately i am not able to search the request for that role from NWBC -->Search request by
Process Id : Role Approver Workflow
It gives blank !!
Hence neither i am able to find the request no able to do any debugging of it using
GRFNMW_DBGMONITOR_WD
Please note that the Request Id is created for any request in CUP.
Is it that i have to create a number range for BRM request ??
If so will you please let me know the object

I was wrong in posting the cause of problem.
Please note no "Request number" is generated for Role creation Request.
The problem was i was unable to search the Role Request approval status from "Search Request" via Process Id
It got resolved via SAP note 1643539 : UAM: Search Request not returning result for some Process Id.
My Issues is Resolved.

How can I save cfquery sql text, not the results

I have the need to save a dynamically generated cfquery actual sql, not the results.
I can see it in <cfdump var="#<qry_name>#"> but, how can I capture the actual sql
and save it in a var for later use ?

The results property of the <cfquery....> tag allows you to put that information into a variable for later use.
I.E.
<cfquery ... results="stuff">...</cfquery>
<cfdump var="#stuff#">

Not showing results in simulation

i made some chngs in (generate work schedule manually) in development server and transported to production server.
it is transported as i can view the changes but not showing result in simulation run, wats the reason...

National Holiday is a simple Off and Paid Day.
So, hw u want the system to consider tht holdiay in payroll ?
might be u have to check in Time Evaluation for considering National Holdiay and wrkin any any spl. .payments towards it.
theere may not be any change of effect due to Holiday in Payroll until and unless the Absence Records if existing on dates of Holiday... then u mite have to delete the Absence Records and Update it again.
Or there is a report that need to be generated to remove the inconsistency... which currently dont have idea... will check n let u knw... in the mean while u can follow deleting the record and update Absence on Holiday again.

Database Links not generated

In OWB 9i, the database links are not generated as part of the mapping anymore. My problem is that I create a new source module and then a mapping using this source module, but it does not generate the code for the database link. When I deploy the mapping it says the database link does not exist, but it does not provide the code for generating the links. Am I missing something? I would appreciate a fast response, since I'm currently giving the OWB course and have to show the students the new 9i features tomorrow (Thursday 15 Aug)! Thanks!!

Hi Marlene,
You can get the database link DDL when you generate the Warehouse Module as a whole, open the Warehouse module editor and highlight the Warehouse module, right click and generate. In the generation results filter on DB links and review the scripts, deploy these in the schema where you want to install the mappings.
To create new db links, go to configuration on the warehouse module where you need to links, in there choose the last entry (database links). This also allows you to delete the ones you don't need.
