I have 2 USA Sprint iPhone 5 I need to get them to use them in Saudi Arabia besides I am not living in USA anybody has a way to get them unlock.

You will need to contact Sprint to unlock the devices. Only the carrier can unlock the devices for use with another carriers sim card.

Even if you could get a Sprint iPhone unlocked, you would not be able to use it with AT&T. While Sprint will unlock the GSM side under their conditions, you cannot use it with another domestic US carrier.

But I thought that would have been re-locked durning software update or something. Besides, I have dropped my phone recently and replaced with a new one through AppleCare +. So I'm baffled as to how this phone has been unlocked all along.)
Anyway, back to my point. I want to bring the phone to the UK and use a local sim card. Is there anyway I can tell if the phone is indeed unlocked? Can i tell from itunes or somethng? I don't want to bring it there only to find it still locked. I'd rather buy a cheap pay-as-you-go phone locally and not bring a locked iPhone with me. I plan on doing everything above the board. No jailbreakng.

Well, a domestic sim won't work in your phone, so using one to check won't work and if AppleCare can't confirm such, you have no choice but to rely on what Sprint tells you. Call the International Support team to confirm, again:

I had the same problem. Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections. I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked. This did though: I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

There is nothing about the hardware of the iPhone 4S that would prevent a Sprint 4S from being used on T-Mobile, or any GSM carrier, international or domestic. Nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Each and every 4S is 100% hardware capable of doing both GSM and CDMA out of the box. The only impediment is that Sprint would have to authorize an unlock for you. This is something they simply refuse to do. If anyone at Sprint has told you that they can't unlock a 4S for domestic use with another carrier, they have lied to your face. This, by the way, is something they're doing with everyone who asks the question - just Google search "Sprint unlock iPhone 4S", and you'll see dozens of internet threads where people talk about being lied to by Sprint about this issue. The good news is that Sprint signed an agreement with the FCC regarding letting off-contract customers unlock their phones. The agreement takes effect in mid-March, and Sprint is dragging its feet until then. Once that deadline passes, if Sprint still hasn't agreed to unlock your phone, then they're in violation of the agreement, and you can and should report them to the FCC. I sure plan to. There is no unlock code that can be used with an iPhone by another carrier.
The GSM side of an iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 previously activated with Sprint should be unlocked for use with a GSM carrier's SIM card outside of the U.S. but if not, you need to request the unlocking with Sprint with Sprint sending the unlock request to Apple. The unlocking is done with iTunes on your computer.

You don't. At least not for T-Mobile in the US. Sprint will unlock an iPhone if you are a current Sprint customer in good standing, but it can never be used on any US carrier other than Sprint. It can only be used on non US GSM carriers.

The only way to use a Sprint CDMA phone with Verizon's CDMA network would be to entice Verizon to reflash the firmware on you phone. And they will not do that, for anyone with any phone - you must purchase a Verizon phone to use the Verizon network.
You cannot use your CDMA Sprint phone with AT&T because AT&T does not operate a CDMA network. They use GSM, which is a different network than CDMA.

You don't. The Sprint iPhone 4 doesn't even have a SIM slot. There is no GSM radio in it. It is a pure CDMA phone. It will never work with any carrier other than Sprint.
Buy a cheap disposable phone when you get to the country you will be visiting.

The AT&T, T-mobile, and Verizon iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are actually all the exact same phone and all have CDMA built in. I imagine Apple did this to simplify manufacturing and got a deal from Qualcomm to only get charged for the Verizon iPhones for the CDMA components which is probably all on the same chip now. That info is probably locked up so tight in a contract we may never know.
