SPRO to current setting (user menu)

Hi All,
Our client need to do some of the periodic changes in production server directly instant of doing it in development server to avoid transportion of request number.
Please let me know how we can add some node from SPRO menu to user menu.

Dear Ranjan Amit,
The production server will be opened only by a special request for some specific reason.
It can be kept opened always for accessing some SPRO related T codes.
In my understanding its not possible.
Your BASIS consultant only will be having the authorization to have a control on this.
Check and revert back.

Hi Arun,
The Tcodes you have mentioned are solely the function of a Collection supervisor and not team members. However, if you still want to give limited access then consider the below points for individual Tcodes -
UDM_GROUP - Out of the 3 mentioned above, you may want to give this T-code to team members only for assigning substitute person in case somebody is absent. You can look at transaction variant (SHD0) to make other screens as display only.
UDM_GROUP2SGMT - This is not required on a daily basis and authorization can be left with the IT team only.
UDM_STRATEGY - This is best handled by the Collection Supervisor or Team Lead of AR and care must be taken that there are no logical misses in the rules.

SOBJ current setting (oss note 135028, 77430)

Hi all,
I'm working in a ECC6 R/3 system.
In according with sap notes 135028 and 77430 I would modify standard current setting for some views used in customizing transaction.
Reading note 135028 I follow the indicated solution :
"...open the IMG and display the IMG structure. Position the cursor
on the corresponding IMG activity and select the menu path "Edit -> Display
IMG activity". On the following screen, select the Tab "Maint.objects". A
list of the assigned Customizing objects is displayed. By double-clicking
on the corresponding row, navigate to the Customizing object and set the
Indicator "Current settings" directly......."
At this point the system requires to entry a key for standard object modification.
Is it allowed from sap to modify this kind of object?
My boss asked me to show him a script from sap where it's clear that it's a normal activity to change a standard object in this cases.
Can anyone help me?

OB52 need not be made available to users. There are alternative transactions in SAP Easy Access to achieve the same functionality ready-to-use.
One such txn is S_ALR_87003642.
Try it, and if it suits your purpose ask your BASIS team to give users access to this txn. That should do it.
If you are in the mood to explore, another (a little more sophisticated) option is S_PEN_05000130.

Ibook G4 stuck at 'select user' menu screen

hey....been reading through this forum about and realised that many have the same problem i'm currently facing with my ibook g4...
i'm able to boot up my ibook normally then it'll get stuck at the blue screen where the 'select user' menu is supposed to pop up....
tried the various method like repairing disk on disk utilities but the DU reports that my disk does not need any repairs...the thing is i'm able to boot up as per normal via safe mode and thats as far as i can get...any help? thanks in adv!

If you have the original boot installer disc set which accompanied the
computer when new, there is an Apple Hardware Test on there.
The computer may have some hardware failure behind this anomaly
and may require troubleshooting to get an estimate on what may be
wrong, if a hardware defect is the cause of this problem. Otherwise,
tech time and a hopeful cure may take one of several possible paths.
In some computers, the wireless won't work when in SafeBoot mode
perhaps in more than I know. I have not tried to go online in mine while
they are in SafeBoot, since that is a reduced boot set and is for testing
or checking the computer mostly.
Was there a report in Disk Utility from running the booted installer disc's
version of that utility? Sometimes, when it is repairing a disk drive, and
some report says it can't fix something, then that may indicate failure in
the hard disk drive; or some directory issue, or perhaps a low-level one
where the drive may need to be over-written with zeros using the option
in Disk Utility from the booted installer disc, & reformat to APM or HFS+
before running the Installer to put a new system on the wiped empty HD.
You may need to try different things in order to further troubleshoot this
computer, to include Disk Warrior or other third party disk utilities, or
have someone who already has the correct disks and is trained, to do it.
There may be an error in the hard disk drive, so if you haven't tried using
the options in the Disk Utility to zero the drive, that may be something. If
you have work on this computer and had not backed it up to other media,
it will certainly be lost; if not before now, very surely once it gets wiped.
A third party utility such as Disk Warrior can be used to try and fix the
issues, as best it can and only do what it was intended, at most; but may
allow you to fix the system enough to recover your data and move on...
Since the computer does boot into SafeBoot, you can recover files from
the hard disk drive. It probably will also boot into FireWire Target Disk
Mode, so using a FW cable to another Mac could occur, to move files.
The moved files could be saved to DVD or CD-R media in another Mac.
Of course, once you'd tried the reinstall (not just use the menu bar choice
of several other functions prior to launching the Installer) your old System
may be in the hard disk drive with a name 'previous' and it won't boot it.
Other ideas on hard disk drive issues, can be found in other forum posts;
some are not exactly the kinds of symptoms your machine exhibited.

How to Hide User Menu at the Bottom of the Screen

a user menu at the bottom. the user menu content is:

how do I hide this menu when end user access the app?

Hi,
That "menu" is called developer toolbar.
It is visible only when you have login to APEX builder and run your app.
So it will not be visible for end users.

How to attach a custom transaction to a user menu

Hi all,
I need some help on how to attach a transaction code to a user menu.
I've checked the forum but I could not find the exact instructions on how to do it.
This is how the user menu should look like:
User menu for Ricky Orea
'->Manager Catalog Content
'--->Standard transaction
'--->Standard transaction
'--->(insert my transaction here)

The user menu is the set of menu of all roles of user, so you should check the roles of the user and update one of menu of user roles.
You can do it by transactions PFGC, but if you change a role you'll change the menu of all users have that role.
This operation usually is made by the administrators of system.

Activate User Menu in SAP logon screen

1. Configure individual specific SAP user
Enter transaction code SM30 (Maintain Table Views) in your SAP command field and maintain USERS_SSM table. You would notice that no data maintained in this table during initial access. To maintain entries, click u2018New Entriesu2019 button. Enter the individual username on the User Name field. To enable user menu and SAP menu, tick the appropriate checkboxes. To disable, untick the chekcboxes.
2. Configure all SAP user
Enter transaction code SM30 (Maintain Table Views) in your SAP command field and maintain SSM_CUST table. To enable te user menu for all SAP users set ALL_USER_MENUS_OFF = No. To disable it, set ALL_USER_MENUS_OFF = Yes.
To enable the SAP Menu set SAP_MENU_OFF = No, to disable it set SAP_MENU_OFF = Yes.

Specifically in this case, user menus is no easy task in the wild and is very dependent on how you build your roles.

Roles in User Menu

The user Menu is showing roles instead of transaction in SAP .
Please let me know is it because of values in SSM_CUST table . If yes then what values should I maintain in different fields for this table to get transactions etc in User menu .
Is there any other solution to the problem of getting role in user menu ??

Perhaps what you mean is that the user is seeing the role menu and not an area menu?
Otherwise it might be that someone set the start transaction to PFCG and they are looking at their favourite roles? Not impossible, even if highly unlikely...

Setting user picture

I know this should be really, really easy - but it's just not working.
On my new MBP (June 09), I can choose my account picture, and set it, but I still end up every time with my name in the menubar instead of the chosen picture - even after logging out or restarting.
Am I missing something?

Yes, but it is a limited selection of icons. In "login Options" of "Accounts" system preference, you can set Fast User Switching' "View as" to "icon", but everyone gets the same icon. If you want a choice of icons, set it to "Name" (not "Short Name"). You can then set "User Name" to any icon from "Special Characters" in the "Edit" menu, such as"

Worbooks not visible in User menu after Upgrade from BW 3.0 to BW 7

Hi,
We're currently processing the Upgrade of our BW system.
We meet a problem about the visibility of our existing workbooks in User menu of the new Bex Analyzer. The system is apparently successfully upgraded, we nevertheless have this issue. We know that we have to convert the workbooks, but before doing that, we would like to see them....
Can someone help us ? Is maybe it a authorization problem ?

Can you still see them in the 'old' BEx?
If so: try to execute them there. If you get no error => no authorisation problem.
Also, in the new BEx you can try to find them via the find button.
Bear in mind that with the NW04s BEx you don't see the whole menu tree, but only one level at the time.
I should also mention that there are problems with displaying favorites stored in folders. Note 955979 solves that.

Workbook in user menu

P R - adding a link to a workbook in a user menu is as simple as saving the workbook and putting it into a security role that contains the user menu. Please note that the person saving the workbook will need authorization to make changes to the user role. In my company, we have a specific user menu security role that exists just for the purpose of having a user menu. All users are granted this role, so all users share the same user menu. But only developers and security configurators have the right to change the user menu security role.

Modifying custom end user menu - tabs

I have created a custom form within IdM 8.0. which I want to display instead of default end usermenu form. I have made necessary mapping for form type - "endUserMenu" under form and process mapping. I see my changes under HOME tab of default end user menu and in addition i see the other default tabs.
How do i eliminate/ remove the other tabs - workitems, requests, delegations and profiles from end user menu form. Where do i need to change or set the config values.

Activating user menu

I have two diff. problems
In one system I'm getting SAP menu but user menu is disabled, how to activate?
and In other system all users are able to see User menu and SAP menu except one user...what needs to be changes for that user...

User Menu missing tcodes

I add tcodes-S_ALR_87012307 & S_ALR_87012308 to a role menu,the user menu fails to generate both entries.User Menu only have S_ALR_87012308
Both transactions call the same underlying program- RFSABL00
Please assist to resolve the issue.

to avoid this deletion, set the customizing switch delete_doble_tcodes to NO in table ssm_cust.
If this is not set explicitely, the system interprets the switch to be set to YES in default. This is valid only, if you have implemented the first correction level mentioned in note #1263259 (sapkb70021, SAPKB70106,....)
The second correction redelivers the old behaviour (default = NO, if the switch is not set)(correctio instruction 0120061532 0001214917, comes with sapkb70022, sapkb70107,....).

Dump in User Menu

Hi Friends,
Whenever an user clicks on a folder in an user menu, this gives a dump. I am currently working on roles and authorizations. Can you please suggest as to why this dump is occuring, and what can be the probable solution to this.

You can check the error on the dump your program is giving itself,
or you can check it also by going to t-code ST22.
