• Error while entering product in Transactions- Opportunity and sales orders

Hello Friends,
I am facing a problem while entering products in Create opportunity screen with message no: COM_PRODUCT_SETTINGS001. I get the error as below.
Product ID is longer than the Customizing setting allows
Message no. COM_PRODUCT_SETTINGS001
Diagnosis:
The product ID 000000000000003115 contains more than 18 characters, that
is, it is longer than the length defined in Customizing.
I tried changing the "Product output format and storage form" to maximum of 40 characters and tested it, the error still persists.
Though I created some opportunities with same product ids before, I only face this issue after system has been updated with some latest patches. Is this issue anything to with updated patches?
Appreciate your help on this.

• Assign sales force incentive and ticket charges to control account

Hi,
Assign sales force incentive and ticket charges to control account.
I need ur help...

Thanks Carlo for your reply.
I have read again the link and you are correct that in using the preferred command together with localhost under POTS dial-peer, I can now select which correct path to choose for my outbound calls. I'm just not very strong with dial-peer and translation rules at the moment.
I will try this solution during the weekend and let you know. But it would have been better if there was a sample configuration for this option.

• Incentives and Commission Management ?! HELP !!

Hi guys,
Anyone outhere ever worked with/implemented Incentives and Commission Management (ICM) and is willing to share some precious knowledge on the subject ??
I am currently envolved in the research and study of this functionality and I would really appreciate some documentation, best practices or scenarios OTHER than what can be found in SAP Library, which actually...puzzles me more than it enlights me. If none of those are available, at least some answers to several specific questions I have.
Thank you and looking forward to your replies...
Bogdan

All,
This may be a bit late but I'll go ahead and answer in case this happens to help anyone else...
<...>
Since you haven't asked a specific question, I do make one: What could it go wrong if I don't reach to activate ICM module in spro -> activate bussiness functions -> selecting EA-ICM node ??
<...>
Usuario,
If you don't activate the ICM module in SPRO, the ICM IMG path won't even show up. If you try to run transaction /CACSIMG, I believe the result is that this transaction is not recognized at all. You have to have this in order to use ICM at all.

1. ICM is linked to SD module or not?
2. If Linked, steps to be followed to integrate the both the modules.
3. Is there any configuration document is available or not?
Thnaks in Advance
Shankar
Shankar,
1. ICM is not linked to SD module. It does use the SD pricing condition technique for the valuation and remuneration processes, but does not directly integrate.
2. See above
3. Best configuration document I know of is help.sap.com. There is no direct guide that I am aware of.

Hi Vikram,
Incentives and Commission management is a powerful produt from SAP to give commissions to sales agent for the sales done by them.
Following are the major functionalities of the product -
1) Uses BP - creates a comision contract for each sales agent.
2) Uses SD condition technique to arrive at conditon rate for which BP has to be remunerated
3) Has a settlement functionality which transfer the remuneration of BP to settlement system in a periodic fashion.
4) Is a very flexible tool to rapidly adjust to change in business model like - chage in remuneration rates, creating new business objects etc.
5) Has portal roles - Sales Compensation Analyst ( for creation standard contracts - generic contracts) , Sales Representative ( Sales Agent to check his remuneration etc )
Following are the main transactions for ICM system -
CACSIMG - customizing for ICM
CACS - central screen for ICM system
CACSMD501 - Creation of commission case ( comm case represents transaction done by BP and results in remuneration document )
CACSMD101 - Creation of Individual Contract.

• What is SAP-ICM - Incentive and Commission Management ?

Can u explain me about SAP-ICM, its functionality and transaction codes and tables involved in it.
If possible with some sample programs related to it.
thanks.

Hi,
Incentive plans are maintained within ICM. You use this process to transfer sales transaction data to the ICM incentive plan for commission calculation.
You use this business scenario to create, manage and report on incentive and commission compensation plans within your organization. It utilizes the Incentive and Commission Management (ICM) engine residing in SAP R/3 Enterprise where plan administrators are able to efficiently craft and administer complex variable compensation plans. CRM ICM includes two standard means of transferring data to ICM for the purpose of driving your incentive processing:
· Transferring CRM documents to ICM through a configured document interface
· Transferring SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) data to ICM through a general BW transfer interface
When using the configured document interface, you use SAP CRM transaction data (including sales order, sales contract or resale order) to drive your direct or indirect variable compensation processes. This allows you the flexibility to trigger commission calculations at nearly any point in the sales cycle from booking of an order to receipt of invoice payment. The calculated compensation results are extracted into both SAP BW and CRM and paired up with their original transaction data. Sales staff can then track their current performance – as well as model their potential compensation based on their sales pipelines – through content accessed via the Sales Manager Portal and the Sales Representative Portal. Based on your implementation, you also have the ability to support partner sales representatives.
When using the general BW interface, you are able to drive your variable compensation processes from BW. This interface enables you to easily leverage all of the analytical capabilities of BW in order to prepare data (for example, activity data) that is to be used in ICM for award calculation.

hi
see ICM never goes independently,so you wonnt have any help on ICM alone,it works in collabvoration with different transactional data, like opportun ity and channel management.

Good Morning,
I have the following doubt.
There are is a Business Package for SAP Incentive and Commission Management (ICM) in the portal ESS/MSS?
Kind Regards

Hi,
SAP_BW_0ROLE_0008
This role performs sales and sales support tasks.
This role uses CRM ICM to view their personal sales commission and incentive items. They cannot view items for management or other sales team members.

Hi ,
Adding to Eduarodo's Point, if you dont want to Archive the documents and just wanted to cancel then you can do this by LSMW or eCATT.
First cancel all the subsequent document and then Sales order . In sales order put Reason for rejection.
Thanks,

• Transaction code for sales order totals and purchase order totals

Hi i am using alv grid report to display the sales order and purchase order totals by productline(profit center)
Now i have to call standard transactions from first list to display the totals of sales order and purchase order.I have to display these transctions for specfic orders and their specfic lineitems only.
in VA05n transaction it is allowing me to enter only the document numer but not item.
Can any one help to find the standard transaction to display the totals for only specific orders and line specific line items

Hi Polite,
The transaction CRMD_ORDER is the superset for all the transactions mentioned by you. So it is better to remember just one transaction instead of remembring the subsets . Once you use the transaction CRMD_ORDER and then Follow the menu Business transaction -> Create (F5) you will get the list of transactions you can create this is nothing but the the transactions you have mentioned.
If you know the transaction no. you can directly open that in transaction CRMD_ORDER. The other opetion is to use the SAP Menu instead of transactions.
Reward points if it helps!!
Best regards,
Vikash.

• SAP Treasury - Link a Purchase and Sale of an OTC transaction

Hello All
We have implemented SAP OTC transactions (51A, 52A, 53A and 55A). We did not have the requirement to sell them when they were set up. However we got the requirement recently. We need to link the purchase and sale of a transaction and record the realized gain and loss. I dont see a way to link OTC transactions and there by post the realized gain and loss.
Example:
If we buy a commercial paper (53A) on Jan 1 2014 maturing Oct 31, 2014 for a nominal amount of 10,000 at 98% payment rate, which will generate a payment flow of 9,800 on Jan 1 2014.
Now if we decide to come out of it (sell) on June 30, if the rates went down and we only get 9,000 of the nominal amount for the sale.
How can we have the system link these 2 to determine that we incurred a realized loss in this case?
Hove anyone had this situation before? Any help on this topic with be much appeciated and points will be rewarded.
Thanks in advance!!
Shilpa

Try TBR6 to link; may be reference category "REF"; then, from each transaction, you can go to Environment-Object links and see the linked transaction.
However, I don't know off hand, if it will let you do realized gain/loss on a net basis; in that case may be Securities module would be the solution.

• Accrual in Incentive and commission management

Hi,
We have a scenario where we need to pay certain royalty to our customer based on sales generated from using their premises...
now we are exploring two options...rebate functionality in SD and incentive and commission ..my question is with rebate we can use accrual functionality wherein we reserve certain amount of royalty for customer once we make a sale and then post it together at end of month..
can we use accrual functionality for Incentive as well?
As the rebate functionality post to AR, we are looking at ICM (Incentive and commission) module to calculate the royalty and post to AP instead.

Hello Hamed,
Yes you can. You can post accruals from ICM into FI directly by definining a settlement mechanism for it. You can use the same settlement engine that posts to AP and tweak it to post to G/L. Its fairly straight forward and have been achieved at other clients.
On the other hand, if you don't want to build anything and use standard functionality. In Ehp4, there is an accrual report that gets generated in ICM, which can then be used for creating G/L entries.
Using my first suggestion you can also do a reversal of original accrual posting. ICM can post to multiple payment engines depending what your requirements are.
