Spry error in older version?

I get an error when I run in 6 and under using the "out of
the box" spry
accordion.
the error line is line 334 from the .js file
******is the line with the error
// XXX: IE doesn't allow the setting of tabindex dynamically.
This means
we can't
//rely on adding the tabindex attribute if it is missing to
enable
keyboard navigation
// by default.
*******//var tabIndexAttr =
this.element.attributes.getNamedItem("tabindex");
if (!tabIndexAttr) this.element.tabindex = 0;
if (tabIndexAttr)
Anyone know what the solution is?

David, thanks for the response. I just looked up browser
usage on my
site and it sits at around 41 people out of roughly 6,000
that visit my
site in a month. Are people, for the most part, not designing
for these
older versions? Perhaps I am behind the times on this?
Any ideas what the best strategy would be to make it so that
if they
don't have ver 6 or above, they would get an alternative
menu?
1. 6.0 3,315 55.39%
2. 7.0 2,629 43.93%
3. 5.01 11 0.18%
4. 5.5 11 0.18%
5. 5.0 10 0.17%
6. 5.17 4 0.07%
7. 5.23 4 0.07%
8. 5.22 1 0.02%
You're probably right not to worry. I will check out the spry
forum.

    Walk us through what happened with CleanUp, Michelle. In particular, was there no entry for QuickTime in the list of programs in CleanUp?

    Akeenleyside,
    Are you removing your Apple software in an attempt to update to iTunes 10.5?  I ask this because I am getting the same message when trying to install iTunes 10.5.

    1) The older version of Bonjour can not be removed. Contact your technical support group.
    Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
    Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
    If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
    Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
    (If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • Reports 9i - Printing Error on older version files

    I run a report made in Reports 3.0. When opened in 9i it runs on screen correctly but I can't print the results. Plus, when running the option for HTML the reults is a blank screen in the browser. Should I convert it first to 6i? Error message is next:

    REP-57054: In-process job terminated: Terminated with error:
    REP-50125: Caught exception: exception oracle.reports.RWException {

    java.lang.String errorString="Caught exception: java.lang.NumberFormatException:", java.lang.String moduleName="REP"
    Please advice.
    Thank you,

    I would try converting first to 6i. If you still see the same behaviour then you should follow up with Oracle Support, since this looks like a bug.

  • Older version of Quicktime won't uninstall - can't install newer version

    I am trying to install iTunes 7.5 and Quicktime 7.1 on computer. Keep getting error that older version of Quicktime cannot be uninstalled. Have tried "add/remove" software function on Windows XP; have also tried to manually delete the files. Still get the same answer! Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    +The message I am getting says enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Quicktime.msi'. I have searched for this file and I do not have it on my computer.+
    Typically, when you get those sorts of messages (in conjunction with the "cannot uninstall program" message), there's a problem with the installation configuration information for the existing version of QuickTime on the PC.
    So let's try the following procedure.
    Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:
    Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
    Now launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those QuickTime entries, and click “remove”.
    Next, we'll manually remove any leftover iTunes or QuickTime program files:
    (1) Open Local Disk (C:) in Computer or whichever disk programs are installed on.
    (2) Open the Program Files folder.
    (3) Right-click the QuickTime folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.
    (4) Delete the QuickTime and QuicktimeVR files located in the C:\Windows\system32\ folder. Click Continue if Windows needs confirmation or permission to continue.
    (5) Right-click on the Recycle Bin and on the shortcut menu, click Empty Recycle Bin.
    (6) Restart your computer.
    Now try another QuickTime install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • "the older version of quicktime cannot be removed. Contact your technical s

    I keep getting an error "the older version of quicktime cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group." No I have removed all od copies of Quick time and used Windows Install Clean Up and tried to repair Quick Time and stil can not install the latest version. Plus now Itunes is not working. Any thoughts.

    The problem with reinstalls or upgrades saying a previous version is installed when one isn't sounds familiar. I couldn't get 7.2 to install correctly, so I tried reinstalling 7.1.5. Received an error message saying I couldn't because a newer version was already installed. I tried using the Windows Uninstaller Cleaner someone here posted a link for to solve the problem. I found an entry for 7.1.5 with no application name (which it should have)and deleted it, but that still didn't solve the problem. What I found interesting was that I edited the registry to remove all references to QT (and there are hundreds of them). That still didn't solved the problem. I would like to know where it gets that info about what's been installed previously. It just occurred to me that they may have planted a cookie. I'll check. If you find out where the info on previous installs is hidden post it.

    That is a new one on me.
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
