Spry error message on my site's slideshow

I've read a few posts and tried several fixes to no avail. Can anyone please advise how to resolve this error message?
"SpryPanelSelector.js requires SpryWidget.js!"
I've created this page in DW and inserted a Spry Widget slideshow which I customized. It works fine in Live View and in Firefox preview in DW. When I post page to my testing server I received the above mssg:

I would greatly appreciate any answers or guidance. Thanks!

Hi, i am a newbie, but i have come accross this before in making my site http://www.mandyevansartist.com
i had a look at your site and got the same error message, I pushed it heaps of times and got to your front page and none of your java script is working ,
so i looked at your source code - wow - ive never seen code put that way before - i use dreamweaver and it seperates all the bits into neat sections - yours was too hard for me to read - but there is a bit of java script that has to go down the bottom of the page in the body of each html page to make it work, so if you didnt have that it might be a reason..
the problem i had though was that when i uploaded my files to the host server i did them in the wrong order - so i took everything off and uploaded them in the right order and it fixed it
i have little to no experience with this other than making my own website so all of this information could be wrong , - your website looks like its going to be really nice
kind regards
mandy

  • Why do I receive a "Page nor available" error message on my site after I add a link to a new page?

At work, I have been adding a new page to an existing folder. This appears to be properly placed in my site folder on my desktop. I also have the new page linked and saved. However, after I link the page, save it, manually "put" the page onto the existing site, then refresh the page, when I go into the actual site and click on the link, it reads an error message that the site is temporarily unavailable.
As a test, I used the same method to link to one of the existing links that already exist within the site, and it connected just fine.
    What am I doing wrong?

Assuming the path to your links is correct, sounds like it could have been a server glitch.  Normally, if the page is not found, you receive a 404 error.  If the server is down or your internet connection times out, you'll get "site is temporarily unavailable."

  • After starting my computer today and trying to visit and open bookmarked web sites, I cannot open them because I am getting this error message: This web site does not supply identity information. What happened? How do I fix it? Thanks

Today, when I tried to open web sites in Firefox from my Bookmarks, I could not. I continually received the following error message: This web site does not supply identity information.
I noticed that when I put the cursor on the box to the left of the address, that message appears. There is also '''no''' https:// before the address.
Can anyone help correct this problem? I believe sometime last week I may have fiddled with the Secutity settings in the Tools/Security option box and may have screwed up something trying not to have sites use cookies to track me?
    Thanks,
    Bob

You can set the pref <b>browser.urlbar.trimURLs</b> to <i>false</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page to see the http: protocol.
You can set the pref <b>browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled</b> to <i>false</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the highlighting of the domain and see the full URL more clearly.

    Hi roddy,
thanks for responding. I read your link, looked at my settings and they were all correct. I tried to do a republish and got this message: The requested URL /childrenandcaring/index.html was not found on this server.
When I type the address in the address bar, I go to the site and the page says: This is the new site childrenandcaring.com
    Any other ideas?

  • Please help, I've tried everything! Gmail won't open, it just endlessly cycles and rarely even gives me an error message: all other sites work fine (Windows 8).

All sites work fine except Gmail will not load. I prefer Firefox, but to be fair, Chrome and IE are doing the same thing when I try to use them. Occasionally Gmail will pop up, most of the time it just endlessly cycles and I don't even get an error message. I'm going to have to get rid of gmail if this goes on.
It's maddening! I've tried everything I could find on mozilla support--restarted in safe mode, clear cache, cookies, etc. This is a brand new Windows 8 laptop. It started a few weeks after I got it. There is nothing else wrong with it, it had a fresh new OS installed before I got it. Please help! Thanks so much.

'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''

  • Most pages are loading without formatting and in addition I am getting the following error message on certain sites. Error: the xajax Javascript file could not be included. Perhaps the URL is incorrect? URL: /xajax_js/xajax.js

I'm using Firefox v6.0 on windoze XP sp3. I had no problems until after using webroots window washer and updating Firefox. I don't know which of those things (if either) may be the cause of the problem. The URL of the worst affected site (the one that spawns the error message is pasted below. But other sites are also loading so that they look like they are unformatted. Any suggestions most welcome.

Since Chrome is working, then there's something going wrong with your IE and Firefox installs of Flash Player.  Could you tell me what files you have in the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder?

  • Error message when viewing site in IE on PC

I've designed a site for a client using Muse. The site works great in all the Mac browsers and Chrome and Firefox for PC. When viewing it using IE, I get an error message (attached) when going from the home button to a certain page. The rest of the site works fine and the page works with nothing missing once I hit the OK button.
Anyone have any idea what is causing the error and how to remedy the IE problem? Any help would be appreciated.
    TIA

    I had a quick look at your code and found;
The issue happens on page load and is not confined to the button.
When I copy| paste the page code into my browser I can load it without errors… this suggests a script error of some kind.
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/where-to-buy.css?459606632" id="pagesheet"/>

  • Two Sites Published With iWeb...Viewers Get Error Message With Second Site

I have used iWeb to create two web sites. I believe I have done so properly, using File>New Site to begin creating the second site. After publishing, I can visit both sites from within iWeb.
Curiously, the message panel that displays after successful publishing indicates the same URL for both web sites. Obviously, that's wrong. That address will open the first site properly (after automatically adding additional characters to the URL during opening), but is incorrect for the second site. As an alternative, I have visited both sites from within iWeb, and copied the URL from the browser window as the "proper" address.
When I use the copied URL's in my own browser, I can navigate to each of the websites properly. However, when I give those URL's to someone else, they get an error message that the second site cannot be found using the URL for the second site that I obtained using the "copying" technique described. That's the case even though both URL's work properly from my computer and browser.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

  • System Error message when deleting site

    Hi
Not sure if anyone else is having issues with Business Catalyst, but I am trying to delete one of my sites but keep getting the following message:
    An Error Occurred
An error occurred processing your last request.
Please go back and try again.
It has been the same for the last 2 days. I am a Creative Cloud member and currently have 3 sites on BC. One of them is no longer required.
Logging in to my account and deleting through the normal procedure: Site Settings - Site Management - Delete Site. I get to the point where I put in my password but that's as far as I get before I get the error message.
Anyone else experiencing issues? As I'm still waiting for an answer from Adobe I thought I might throw the question out to others who may have some insight.

Unfortunately there is no "delete" option on the BC portal for me. Not sure if it is because I am a CC user. I did read in an earlier message in one of the forums here that the delete option on the Partner Portal was removed for CC users so that they could easily access the delete option through BC instead. Not sure if that is still correct.
To be quite honest - it seems like every time I try to delete this particular site through BC, it actually takes my other sites offline. Really strange.
Hoping that the solution is an easy one. Adobe have replied which is good but their suggestions have not worked as yet. Still waiting for more assistance.
Varun - I thank you for your prompt reply - I really appreciate it.

  • Misleading Error message when saving Site

Need Help, Dreamweaver CS5 reports that the root folder for the site I am saving in going to save it in another folder. I have checked all folder links in the site configuration dialogs but none point to the root folder displayed in the error message. This seems to be a configuration file error. I have multiple sites and it seems to happen on all of the site when I save any site configuration.

My local sites are setup as follows:
    Using two local webservers:
    Zend
    Coldfusion
No confilcts on webservers, I only run one webserver at a time.
    localhost:8500 is Coldfusion
    localhost:8080 is Zend
Have a testing directory with the same name as the local directory in the proper hdocs or www for the proper language.
All have remote sites and are active and functional.
Local Sites Respository (Each Site is a self contained website, Some static, Some PHP, Some Coldfusion)
    For Example:
    C:\Users\SEOMarketing\My Web Sites\Newcar
       No Local Testing Server
    C:\Users\SEOMarketing\My Web Sites\Ventura-Stone

  • Firefox 20.0 causes error message with my site

My company has a support portal for our customers. The portal requires a log in then the user is taken to a frames based page which has a menu bar in the top frame and a resource (e.g. Knowledge Base, Report an Incident) in the lower frame. Firefox 20.0 causes the lower frame to display the server error message "Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The pipe is being closed. (232) ". The web site is running IIS 6.0. Earlier version of Firefox work fine as do the latest version on Chrome and IE 9.

Reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using '''one''' of the following steps:
*Hold down the ''Shift'' key and click the ''Reload'' button with a left click.
    OR
*Press ''Ctrl'' + ''F5'' or ''Ctrl'' + ''Shift'' + ''R'' (Windows and Linux)
    *Press ''Command'' + ''Shift'' + ''R'' (Mac)

  • Only in Firefox Ver. 7.0.1, receive error message for one site only " Tired help advice -didn't workAn error occurred while displaying this page"

The above error message suddenly appeared trying to load Schwab.com. Couldn't get help to solve problem. Uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded fresh version - still doesn't. Note I have McAfee security suite installed. Performed Delete of Firefox and then reinstall - still no help

  • Strange error message on iWeb sites

I have a blog in iWeb that I've published for about three years. Suddenly there seem to be html errors appearing at the bottom of Firefox and Safari pages - like this one:
    # Exception: TypeError
    # Message : Value undefined (result of expression postLinks.forEach) is not object.
    # File : Comments.js, Line:138
Is there something new I'm not doing, or some way of getting rid of these messages? Thanks in advance.

Make sure you've downloaded and installed the "mobileme" update to OS 10.5
Go through the MobileMe prefs and be sure all references to "mac.com" now say "me.com"
Open iWeb, be sure all your site information (email addresses and everything) now say "me.com" instead of "mac.com", especially the archive URL and the RSS feed.
Urge your readers to change their RSS feeds - they won't be able to post anything until their RSS feed is to your "web.me.com/username" rather than the previous "web.mac.com/username".
Upload your site again (the necessary changes, particularly on the archive page and RSS feed, will show red icons, meaning they need to be uploaded again).
It should work right now. All of this assumes you're using a me.com upload site. If you're using a different one, I don't know what to tell you. The origin of all my issues seems to have been that the html was pointing to mac.com in a me.com domain, so the html was faulty. Once I updated, everything worked great, but I had to make some changes in the inspector window. Bonne chance!
Once I updated all that (and I had done the mobileme update the day it came out, back in July), everything worked as advertised immediately.

  • STILL getting endless error messages using support site

SINCE DAY ONE we've had "Bad Request" error pages when visiting most pages on the www22.verizon.com support site. And today--just trying to post this message--it gave me "Request Entity Too Large" errors about 6 times.
I need to access all of the Verizon FIOS account functions and I CAN'T. I've contacted Verizon about this issue for MONTHS. What are we supposed to do? Blow a trumpet?

    JOSEm441 wrote:
    1. Once reason for this could be a "corrupt cookie" I would suggest clearing all internet cache reated to this site. If you need help doing this please let us know what browser and Operating System you are running.
Also if you are using a favorite to get to the site, search for my verizon 3.0 and use the link found.
    2. OR  Install a new browser and test with it on your machine (I recommend FireFOX if you are using Internet Explorer now)
    3. If 1 or 2 does not solve it; go to a differnet computer that has never been used to access said sites and see if the issue persists.
I have been getting the "Bad Request" messages for many months, have tried and been unable to get any resolution from Verizon.
    1) Did that several times, had no effect.
    2) I am using Firefox, have been for many years, currently on Firefox 17.0.1, still get the error, although I have not experienced it as frequently since Verizon switched to the new My Verizon interface, but I still get it on some links. Have gotten the error on IE and Google Chrome also.
    3) Have not tried that, don't see the benefit, at least for me, since it happens on the only computer in the house that I use, I need it to work on my computer, not some other one.
Months ago I tried to get Verizon to add some additional information to the bad response message, stuff like error codes, link that failed, module name, etc., so when we reported the error we could provide some actual usable information about the problem. As far as I know, nothing has been done, which is very disappointing.
