Spry Image Slideshow does not work in Explorer

My spry image slideshow works fine in Safari and Firefox, but does not work in Explorer.
A small box shows up in IE 8, and absolutely nothing shows up in IE 7.

How did you get your slideshow to play in Internet Explorer? I'm using the same slideshow on my new website and it plays fine in everything but IE versions. Here's a test page I'm working on... http://4034.sandbox.i3dthemes.net/oceankayakbanzai.html

Ok. so I am getting pretty frustrated. I take the time to learn how to use CSS and to create a template page for a Contractor Site (www.ContractorInsurance.net). The idea is to create a page that I can use for different classes of Contractors...right?
Then I get all happy about being able to insert ToolTip onto pages to help the user. Great!
LIfe to turn to Sorrow after nearly five hours of searching for a "eeking" answer.
So what good does it do to have an Editable region to update if we cannot have the flexibility to insert a tool tip on child pages? Ok so the fast solution is to what... Have a question mark image, insert another apDiv, name it toolTip_Not and provide it with a show=hide behavior?

you will notice that a couple of lines have been placed in the HEAD section of the document. When using DW templates, the HEAD section is usually not editable, hence the error mesaage. By default, your template should have an editable region in it just before the closing tag. It looks like this:  Dreamweaver should be able to find that editable region and insert the
<script> tag there automatically. Because you don't have an editable region like that in the <head>, open the master template, and paste the code above just before the closing </head>

Ouch, if it is indeed damaged, then sadly you need to restore the whole danged huge OS!
Didn't used to be this way before Lion/10.7.
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

Just upgraded to iPhoto 11. slideshow does not work. just is black.

I just upgraded to iPhoto 11. I am on a MacPro desktop.
Slideshow does not work for either the existing slideshows or to create new one.
Just a black screen. When you click on the slideshow button it fades for a microsecond like it is going to go to slideshow...but then just a black box where teh photo should be.

Can you view the photos normally at full size?

Iphoto slideshow does not work after SL upgrade

Hi, i have a 2 month old macbook pro 3.06Ghz and after i upgraded to SL i have several problems: Toast does not work, my pretty new HP 4480 Photosmart Printer works but the scanner function not (error message comes up no connection to scanner), etc. but the biggest problem right now is that iPhoto does not work anymore. i use it a lot and i have over 20000 photos on it. before with leopard it was working fine, but now after scrolling through a few photos iphoto get stucked for a few minutes before it runs again. the slideshow feature doesn't work. i read a few forums about this or similar problems but all the advise didn't help. i reinstalled the iphoto from the original computer disc and later from a life 9 disc as well. first the slideshow works once or twice with only a few pics, but later it turns the slideshow on but get stucked and the only way to get out of the frozen screen is by turning the computer off (holding OFF button down). i did also verify disc permission and disc repair = no help. what can i do?

after 2,5 days (spending half a day within the apple shop as well with this problem) i have it all back on track.
i did a lot of different things: trying to remove and reinstall iPhoto; did a SL installation over the old SL I had on my HD; backing up all the data of course before and reformatting my HD and installing a new clean SL version on it + a new clean version of iLife9 with all the updates and than I migrate with migrate assistant all the data and setting with time machine back onto it, but all this didn't work, because it also migrated the error/bug through time machine with it.
so at the end i just installed a brand new, clean SL version on my hard drive, than I did the updates and put all my data, photos, docs, movies, mail, bookmarks, music, etc manual back into the system (drag and drop from my external HD, where i had an exact copy of my internal HD) and did all the settings again in all the different programs.
the only thing i used migrant assistant with time machine for was for the programs. it seems to work now all fine and i even got more free space on my HD, because some of the old stuff i always carried with me but i never used, i didn't take over.
basically everything is clean now. At least i hope and works fine. touch wood!

Protected Mode of Reader X does not work if explorer.exe is not a parent process [2008R2 RDS/TS]

We are running IE8 as a RemoteApp on Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services "Terminal Server". It has Reader X installed.
When opening linked PDF document, it shows the protected mode "fail" dialog.
If, instead, explorer.exe is launched as remote app, and ie8 is started from explorer,
opening PDF files in protected mode works.
This is regardless of settings, 32/64 bitness, whether iexplore is launched as remote app or
in full RDP session using "alternate shell:". If explorer is not parent of the process subtree,
protected mode doesn't work.
What might be the issue, and is there a workaround that does not involve starting explorer.exe?

This problem is fixed in the latest Reader X update 10.1.

Photo slideshow does not work?

I tried numerous times to make the photo slideshow feature on ipod working it still does not work. I tried with different folders and albums.
What happens is I set up all the photo slideshow settings on the ipod, select the first picture in the album on the ipod and after the first picture the screen goes black and does not show transitions.
It was working just fine a couple days ago and now the transitions do not work at all.
Any suggestions?

Try the five R's. One of those methods should fix it.

Spry Tabbed Panels does not work as I want

Sorry, but this is an utter NOOB question.
I tried to use a Gooey ment on my page, but it does not work as intended.

I assume it is related to the menu already on this page. Anyway, since this did not work, I tried to replace the Gooey menu with Spry Tabbed panels, but being an utter noob in this area, I have made some mistakes that the experts here can probably help solve easily. What happens:
It looks OK in DW:
Go to Live View and it still looks OK:
but then go to the actual page and it looks like this:
Why do the tabbed panels not display at the top of the page next to the vertical menu, like it does in DW?

Turn off CSS. View > Style Rendering > un-tick Display Styles. You'll see an unstyled HTML page in Design View. But this won't effect styles in Live View or Preview.

Slideshow does not work in Peview

When I open Preview to see a folder with lots of pictures in it, and click on PREVIEW, SLIDESHOW, it does not work.

I can put one photo in the Preview Window's side tray. But I cannot put two in. I do not know how to go from one picture to another. I went through all the items on the menu bar and could not find anything apply.
Any help would be appreciated. All this was so simple in Windows Media Player. Is it possible toget WMP for Mac?

Open Window 'Action' does not work in Explorer

Spry xml data does not work in ie

Hello all,
I'm attempting to use a spry data set / xml. Works great in FF. I can't get it to function in IE. On my test machine, it will blink the html content without the xml data and then just disappear. No error. I've created a simple test page for trouble shooting. I'm using Spry version 1.6.1.
Can you please take a look and see if you can tell what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Your server is sending xml files with the content-type header text/plain. XML files should have the content-type text/xml. If you fix this, it would work. If you cannot change the server settings to serve the appropriate header see my post over at the Spry forums: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2179253#2179253

Iphoto slideshow does not work

How do I get iPhoto's slideshow function to work without iPhoto 'not responding' message?

By double clicking on a photo opened in event I get the picture of an exclamation mark instead of the big photo. also the slideshow does not work anymore.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair Library permissions

Image Processor does not work correctly

Two problems and one suggestion here:
1. When using the Image Processor Script to resize images only the first image in a folder will get resized correctly. Subsequent files just get coppied at their original size.
2. The script ignores the width setting and adjusts based on height.
Additionally, it would seem to me like a Percentage selection and/or a Maintain Aspect Ratio selector would be a huge help.

the images I wanted to process were initially located on an external hard drive that had 10GB left. I then moved the file onto my laptop, which has about 160GB free space, but that didn't solve the problem. I have tried the same task with just 2 images, and get the same response. I am not sure what you mean by 'complete path', but the folder is just a normal folder with camera RAW FILES (CR2). However, I have tried to convert a TIFF to JPEG too via image processor and that hasn't worked either?

Launch iPhoto. From the menu: iPhoto>Preferences>General: Select Connecting camera opens>Image Capture.
