[SQ01] Copy query from /SAPQUERY/AM

Hi there. I try to copy a 01 query from /SAPQUERY/AM usergroup to my testgroup (ZWOP) to have possibility working with report copy.
But when I enter /SAPQUERY/AM then choose 01 and press 'Copy' icon, the default target usergroup is /SAPQUERY/AM and I can't change it into ZWOP.
When I try to put a copy into /SAPQUERY/AM, I receive Object can only be created in development class for namespace /SAPQUERY/
1) Could You tell me how to make that query copy ?
2) Is there a possibility to define report structure with variants to show different report structure depending on CompanyCode ?

But now I have another problem.
I copied usergroup into my test ZWOP group with all queries. But there is a problem, because InfoSet /SAPQUERY/AM01 need some modifications to meet the requirements.
For example I need to have possibility to add info about Asset's Serial Number in my query.
So I copied /SAPQUERY/AM01 into my ZAM InfoSet. Then make modifications on the copy (ZAM), generate (button 'Generate'). In the next step I applied ZAM InfoType to ZWOP usergroup.
Now when I try to edit my query (copy of original 01), I can't see Serial Number on the components list so I can't add that info to report
I've noticed that when I give my ZWOP usergroup to SQ01, there is still '/SAPQUERY/AM01' InfoSet assigned to query. How can I change that InfoSet to my ZAM ? Maybe that could solve the problem

Hi,
For copying queries from one cube to the another use Tcode :RSZC.
If you have RKF and CKF in the queries,
then only those RKF's and CKF's which are used in the query will be copied(Only those which you use in the structure).
One more important all the keyfigures will be copied with Technical name as _1 at the end.
i.e: if you have a KF called AVERAGE with Techname as <b>OSD_AVG</b> then this will be copied as <b>OSD_AVG_1</b>.Meaning you cannot define your own Tech names.

For copying queries from one cube to the another use Tcode :RSZC.
It asks for target infoprovider and source infoprovider..
You can copy queries between two cubes only in the case where both these cubes are exactly the same. The cube to which you want to copy the queries may have some additional info objects than the original. But it must have all the info objects of the original one.

Transporting SQ01 Customer Query from DEV to PRD

Hi All,
I am not sure whether I am in the right forum, but maybe you still can help me.
I created SQ01 for Customer Master query in our DEV environment, and i assigned t-code for the query.
Can i transport it in our PRD? Or it is more advisable to create the t-code in PRD directly?
Please note that the query is both existing in DEV and PRD.

Hope you would have created T code using SE93 for your query program.
and your SQ01 program may be like this, and in the program the bold letter differs from client to client.
AQ FU SYSTQV000003XXXXXXX===
AQ IC SYSTQV000003XXXXXXX===
So while transporting it may give error that the program is not in the client, or while executing the T CODE it may give dump.
Hence create the query in production client and create the T code for the program and assign to the users.
Some tips may be helpful:
1. Always Use T code : SQVI to create the ALV report, user friendly that SQ01.
2. In case if you are making Customer master details report, if you are include all customer master tables, in case for some customer if some details were not maintained then the details will not displayed.
In that case, in the joint between two respective tables, right click and change it to Left Outer join.
3. If some data is replicated, then need to change the table path, like in case of billing always start from Biling item then to Billing header.

How to copy query from one cube to another ? OR atlest a KF strecture?

Hello edperts,
just wanted some tips on coping a query or KF strecture from one cube to other . i am trying to use TCODE RSZC, but bcoz some of the chars. are not present in the target cube i a m not able to copy it.
But, looks like both the cube has save KFs, so i thought atlest let me copy KFS , so i just have to pull manually chars. but thats also not working..
Is there any back door way to do it ? please help me, it might save lots of time.

Copy query from one infocube to another infocube

We have a one infocube (ZSD_C03) that is a copy from another one (0SD_C03), so we want to make a copy one query form 0SD_C03 to ZSD_C03, any idea to do that.

If the two cubes have exact same definition query can be copied by tcode RSZC . Give the source and target cube name and select query radio button , it would give all queries on source cube . You need to give name for query , restricted KF , calculated KF on target cube . Make sure Calculated KF and Restricted KF are copied .

Error after Copying Query from Cube to Multiprovider

Hi ,
I have One cube which is running fine . Now I have created one Multiprivider which has only the Cube . Copied the Query in the Cube to the Multiprovider through RSZC transaction .
Now the Query copied to Multiprovider is giving error while executing .some SALAR etc ...
Not sure what does this error mean .
can anyone help me pls ?

While copying the query using RSZC it will list all the calculated keyfigures you can select the specific keyfigure and click on transfer selections.

We have two BI systems. I need to recreate all the queries from the first system. I am exploring options if there is a way to copy the queries from the first to the second. Anone experienced with this?

for the same landscape as you know the normal Transport strategy,
if You are looking to migrate the Queries to Different BW Landscape, :
Before Migrating the Queries need to make sure that all the InfoObjects, DataFlow should be available in the same version and in the same condition in the Target BW system; then only think to move the Queries
Connecting the 2 BW systems through RFC is BASIS Job,
as a BI Consultant first analyze the both source and Target Systems in the sence of DataFlow, all the Objects, DataSources etc... and make sure to maintain same in both systems, if required need to move the Dataflows also before the Queries.
Note: if you move the Dataflow to target system the existing objects in the Target system will be overwrite, so first study the two systems and prepare a documnet with all concerns.

Yes,it is possible to copy query from one infoprovider to another infoprovider with some conditions.Please have a look at the note 981104 which explains you how to Copy between InfoProviders and Copy within one InfoProvider.

Urgent please _ copying query

I have a query to be copied from one cube to another multiprovider. I am using transaction RSZC to copy query from cube to multiprovider, which is not allowing me to do so,In the infocube comaptibility check it says some characteristics are missing in target. How to copy query, Please?

the best way is to use the transaction RSZC.
But the two Infoprovider must have the same characteristics (almost the charact used by the query).
If you're able to adapt the target Infoprovider with the missed characteristics you can use the RSZC.
In other case you have to reproduce manually the query.

Copy Query Variants from InfoCube to MultiProvider

Hi,
Is it possible to copy query variants from an infocube to a multiprovider?
Basically, we used RSZC to copy the queries from the infocube to the multiprovider, but it doesn't look like the variants were copied over. Is there an ABAP program or some other workaround that can expedite/facilitate in recreating the variants on the multiprovider queries?

It is possible to copy but the only requirement is your target cube structure should match with the source cube structure.

Issues after copying a query from one IP to another

Hi Friends,
I have a query which was built on a infoset, i have built a multi provider with aditional objects apart from what i have in the infoset, i.e. this Multi provider has all the objects which are used in the query. I have copied the query from infoset onto the multi provider. All is well until this point.
but when i see the default values or free characteristics of this copied query, it still shows the objects with prefix of old infoset. Shouldn't it be having prefix of multi provider instead as this query is based on the Multi provider?.
Also when i save the query, i get a error message saying that XXX characteristic is not found in the info provider(MP), where as this cahr is available in the Multi provider.
Can someone pls guide me how to resolve this?.

Hi,
I get an error message when i try to copy the existing query to the new Mulit Provider. This i get in Transaction RSZC after i give source Ino cube XXX and Target Info cube ZZZ and select Queries radio button and execute.
The error message what i am getting is as follows
InfoObject Source__F1 is missing in target info cube (Muti provider name).
like this i am getting for almost all the objects, but all these objects are available in the target.
Since, the query was a stright forward one i have created a new query exactly like the other one.But now i get another problem, i cant see the data in the report, even though there is data in DB. I checked the data on the Infoset and Multi Provider using Listcube.
Can you suggest what can i do here?

Use the Transaction RSZC and specify the - > Source InfoCube -> Target InfoCube and select the queries you want to copy.

If you want to copy a query for another infoset its not possible.
The copied query will work for that infoset only which you have been generated.
You need to make a new infoset and than create a new query for it.
