Sq01 layout

hi experts,
i'm sorry if this is not the right place where i should post this type of question.
in SQ01 , when i click on Basic List button, SAP display a new layout desing where you cand format your query(graphical). But there is a standard way(text) to customize basic list.
To be more explicitelly ... i want to change the way you customize basic list in SQ01 like in Form Painter (SE71) - there is a old form painter and a graphical painter.
Please someone help where i can change this.

Hi,
if you start TA SQ01 you can choose in menu Settings=>Settings.
Here you can de/activate the graphical query painter.

SQ01 query layouts has been changed after upgrade from 4.6c to ECC

Hi All,
If any one come across the following situation please provide the solution as soon as posssible.
When you execute the query the results are not displayed as fields are not copied under display column,not sorted,not filtered becos of this the query results are not displayed. Is there any solution are setting that need to be done so that the layouts fields are copied,sorted and filtered as they were before upgrade. I have checked all the query variants and they are imported correctly to ECC from 4.6c,there is problem only with the display.
Is the query layout changes due to upgrade?

Publish a Query (T.code SQ01) in the portal

Good Morning.
I want know What are the step for publish a Query created with the T.Code SQ01 in the portal for ESS?

I found the following steps:
- Log on to the portal as an administrator.
- Go to the Content Administration tab and choose Portal Content.
- In the detailed navigation area, you need to use the Browse tab.
- Choose the folder where will be created the iview.
Right-click and choose New from archive => iView.
The proble is what I not found the opcion New from archive.
I Only found the following options:
New===>iView
                Page
                Role
                Workset
                Layout
                Folder
However i selected the Option Iview.
iView template - create an iView from an existing iView template
But I don't found the iViewmaster com.sap.pct.hcm.eeprofilegenericiviewlist.
Can someone give me a help with this?

Report Layout Changed After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

Dear Gurus,
I do functional test of every process in ECC6 after upgrade from 4.6C. I found all report layout changed without variant (it's happen to all Query/SQ01 reports ). So I've to assign manually the fields for the reports, and create a default variant then.
Why it happen ? Is there configuration or setting missed or this is standard while we do upgrade ?

LAYOUT CHANGE IN FBL1N

HI EXPERTS !
The transaction code for the report we generate is FBL1N - vendor ledger.
we require the vendor's bank detail in this report at the header i.e. vendor bank name , account no..(change layout of report for output )
this detail can be seen by transaction code FK03 - view vendor data base.
can anybody solve this .

pleas go through the FBL1N transcation after executing there is change layout .... there you can do the changes ...
if you want to change the header then Go for the report painter the is transcation GRR1,GRR2 ,GRR3 ...using this transcation you can design the report ,
otherwise go for the report Queries ...SQ01,SQ02,SQ03...etc. using the Exact LDB of the FBL1N you have degin Query of it . there ... there is header part you can do the Drap & drop which ever fields you want it in the header .

ALV Display Question - SQ01

Hello All,
I am displaying a query through SQ01, it is as any ALV report, there are a few controls on top of the list one of them is filter and thats where I have the question.
I have a list like this as output of the program:
Status       Hours        Name
True           0              John
True           1              Joe
False         0              Smith
True           1              Scott
False         1              Cindy
Now, do not want to show the records that have (Status = False and Hours = 0), Which will remove the 3rd record from the display.
How can this be accomplished through the FILTER icon?
Again, this is not a custom program so I cannot simply add this condition inside ABAP, I have to do something through toolbar icons.
I have tried different options in FILTER but it is not putting an "AND" logical condition between the two.

You need to set two filters to achieve this functionality.
One for the Status and Second for the Hours.
Press the Filter Icon.
Select both fields from the right side and move it to left side by pressing the left arrow button. Press Enter
In the next screen, use the F4 for avaliable values and select FALSE for the status and 0 for the Hours.
You can save this setting in one Layout variant and use that for future use to avoid setting filter everytime you run the report.

ABAP query - Incomplete layout from existing variant

Hi all,
We're currently testing our conversion from 46C (non unicode) to ECC6.0 (unicode).
In SQ01, when we use a layout variant created in 46C, only the additional fields (e.g. Text:Sold-To) are displayed even though all the other fields are available if we change the layout.
Is there a published correction for this conversion problem or dowe have to rebuild hundreds of layout variants? I looked for notes but couldn't find anything coming even close. I also created a transport in 46C containing the variant and import it in ECC6, but it has no effect, even if I delete the variant in ECC6 prior to the import.

Regarding ABAP query layout changes

In 46C system, we have addon transaction ZXX created thru ABAP query displaying in ALV report
layout fields in order A,B,C,D. But after upgrade to ECC5.0 we found the layout is changed to fields D,B,C,A.
why its changed? Is it Patch problem or its SAP problem.
However after upgrade we could manualy drag and drop the fields as per the 46C existing report layout
it works fine.
But we would like to know the reason why its happenning.?
Could somebody give me suggestion.

Hi Ambikumar,
The ALV output layout is dependent on user settings.
THe order of layout fields is changed bcz user has saved the new layout.
In the output, check the ALV toolbar for CHANGE LAYOUT button. Click on it & check if anyone has saved any new layout. Delete the layout & you would alwyz get the fields in the same order as specified in the query.
No need to modify the query using SQ01/SQ02.
Simply execute the query & click button CHANGE LAYOUT.

SQ01 - SAP List Viewer - Ability to get the count of the output records

Hello All,
I have a problem with the SAP List Viewer output for an SAP Query.
I have created a SAP query (SQ01) for a table. Its a basic query that queries on just one table (VTBFHA)
When I run the query, for the output in the SAP List Viewer (ALV) format, Could anyone kindly help me figure out how to get the count of the number of records displayed in the output?
For Eg: when we run the T code SE16, It gives us the number of records displayed in the output.
Similarly, does anyone know if there is a way I could display the count of the number of records displayed in the output of the SQ01 query?
I have tried checking the "Counter" in the basic list tab, but it does not give me the count.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Yes there is a solution. Follow these steps
Select your query
Hit the button InfoSet Query
Go to Edit->Settings->
Check the box "Count in the Output list" in the Output tab
Hit Save
In pop up box select the user group
hit enter
Hit the back arrow (F3)
now Execute the query
You should be able to see the count in the output.
The count will appear on the right most column of the output. If it does not go to the "Change layout" option and make sure it is part of the "Displayed columns list".

SQ01 query help..

Dear All,
I created a query with SQ01 and added a new fied using calculations from standard fields (with short texts).
I mentioned calculation formula as (PO QTY - GR QTY) = Balance quantity.
In layout output displaying - as Balance quantity , but problem is...
look at the below example output as it ease showing in report..
PO QTY     GRN QTY    BAL QTY
100                 10                  90
100                 50                  50
100                 30                  70
100                 05                  95
400                 95               305
Where as it should has to show balance quantitiy 5 only (since Purchase order for 100 and Goods receipt for 95). But system adding line item wise quantities. Please suggest is there any solution where is the system should calculate by single po quanitty and all goods receipt quantities and gives balance quantity only. (ECC 6). Any formula to calculate for the balance quantity as desired.

Problem in changing SAP query ME80FN in transaction SQ01

Hi,
I have added two new fields in list layout of the transaction ME80FN. When I execute this transaction it is executing ABAP QUERY REPORT ME80FN.
I added two new fields in infoset SAPQUERY/ME80FN via transaction SQ02.
Then trying to change the QUERY ME80FN via transaction in SQ01. It is saying locked by some user.
Can any one help me how to resolve this what to be done.

I found this in another forum. It is simple to do it:
1. Go to SQ02 transaction (Infoset: Initial Screen)
2. Select or Highlight the Infoset corresponding to the query.
3. Go to --> Query Directory --> (you will see the infoset in the name being displayed) Execute.
4. Select the Query you would want to unlock.
5. Click on Cancel Edit lock button or Edit --> Cancel edit lock or Shift + F6
Done...!!!! Query is unlocked

Adding a field in already existing query layout

Hi All,
I have a requirement where I have to add couple of fields in an already existing query layout.
Through SQ01 and layout painter I have added the fields to the layout. When I test from query painter it displays the newly added fields. But when I execute the transaction that is designated to run the query its not displaying those fields.
What am I missing here?

Arun,
As you have done some changes to the query,the internal report generator will generate a new program correspponding to the Query which should be attached to the T-code.
Currently the t-code might be having the earlier program name ie the program generated by the query before changes were made hence it is not displaying.
Just check the program name of the Query and the program name attached to the tcode.

Error layout query

Hi guys,
my problem is this:I have built a query and in the output format I have selected the choise 'SAP list viewer' but before run I have noticed that in the screen in label output specification I could not see other choises(Abap list,grapich,file store etc...).
Then SQ01->change->u2018Extrasu2019-u2019Additional special attributesu2019-u2019flag u2018Use old report structureu2019 and so in this way before run I can see all the other choises but:when I run without this flag with a variant and a layout the query layout is OK,if I run with this flag with same variant,same layout the layout of the query is uncorrected,troncated without values and fields and an informative message AQ 894 Blank unit field found.I have implementde the OSS Note 1503128 without results,I don't use logical database.
How can I solve this problem so to have the correct layout also with the flag 'Use old report structure'?

hi,
How to create Query for Service contracts , where i need to take a report for sub line items of that particular Service contract.
Ex: we maintain short text - services in the initial screen ,
in the next screen we maintain the sub line items for that short text (Activity numbers).

Specify the users who should be authorized to run the query.

Create Infoset (SQ02)
Indicates from which part of the SAP database the data is going to be retrieved and how the data is to be retrieved by the query.
3.
Create Queries (SQ01)
Create the query and arrange the layout
for joining the two tables there should be common field should be available in both the tables then only we can able to join the table and run the query
