Sql developper not showing results
for some strange reason sql developper runs the querys indicating when there is an error, but it doesn't show the results. it is a bit annoying as its hard to see what you get then. I have found some settings i didn'tknow about. could someone please tell me how I could get my results bafck, so atleast I see them
So before changing some settings, you did see the results?
The same query in SQL*Plus returns results?
What's your sqldev/java/DB/OS version?
How about a fresh install?

ThanksNational Holiday is a simple Off and Paid Day.
So, hw u want the system to consider tht holdiay in payroll ?
might be u have to check in Time Evaluation for considering National Holdiay and wrkin any any spl. .payments towards it.
theere may not be any change of effect due to Holiday in Payroll until and unless the Absence Records if existing on dates of Holiday... then u mite have to delete the Absence Records and Update it again.
Or there is a report that need to be generated to remove the inconsistency... which currently dont have idea... will check n let u knw... in the mean while u can follow deleting the record and update Absence on Holiday again.

PL/SQL portlet not showing up in portlet respository for existing provider
I hope you can spare a minute to help. I've created a new PL/SQL portlet and added it to an existing provider package. I've refreshed the portlet repository and refreshed the provider, but the new portlet still doesn't show up. The other portlets in the provider show up fine. Could web cache be the culprit? I'm using Portal R2 9.0.2.6 and PDK July 2003.
Thank you,
KendraThanks!
I did what you suggested, and the page came back:
Portlet Repository Refresh Status
View information about the most recent Portlet Repository refresh, such as who initiated the process, when it was started, and whether it is complete or still in progress. If the refresh is complete, this page also shows when the process finished and whether it was successful. Click View Details to view a more detailed log of the refresh process.
Started By: PORTAL
Started On: April 08, 2002 19:13:38
Completed On: April 08, 2002 19:13:57
Refresh Status: Complete
Refresh Result: Succeeded
View Details
Note that since I had just done a refresh, I would have expected the date to be today's, assuming that the date refers to when the refresh was done, but instead it's April 8th. Strange?
When I clicked on the View Details link, it brought up a page:
Monitor Log Detail Report
Advanced
Error: Unable to perform query (WWV-10202)
ORA-01722: invalid number (WWV-11230)
No row returned.
Not too helpful an error message, huh?
Clicking on the Advanced/Basic links produced identical results (the same exact error message).
The Add Portlets to Region still does not show the portlet I wish to add.
Any additional help much appreciated...
Thanks

This report shows the schedule line items , group schedule line items and rental contact (billing plan) lines when particular checkbox is checked. The checkboxs p_all(non-schedule line) , p_group(group schedule line items) are working in my above alv report and showing result but unfortunately when p_rental is checked it dosent give me result , it says no data selected. This when checked has to show result based on a different set of selections as I have done, but its not shwoing me the result .
Kindly help please.

Some SQL fields not showing data in Crystal XI R2
I have a report that is using a stored procedure. In this stored procedure we have many fields that are being passed over to Crystal. A small portion of these fields do not show any data when you browse them in Crystal. But when you check on the SQL Server 2005 side, they contain data. So we know that the issue is probably on the Crystal side because there is data on the SQL side.
I originally thought that the problem may be caused by Null values in the database, but I used Crystal to convert the Null's to numeric zero if it was a number, and still there was no data showing up.
Also in the stored procedure, we are passing 2 parameters a start and end date. But that seems irrelevent to why some of the fields are not containing data like they should.
Why would some fields show no values at all, and some fields shows values?
Any ideas on how to correct this situation so data will show up for all the fields like they are suppose too?
Thanks everyone for their help!Hi Levi,
Pleaase check the following :
1. Other than storedprocedure are you adding any tables to your report ? If so, check the links between your stored procedure.(Through Database Expert)
2.Write the following formula to find out whether the database fields contains values or not.
if isnull() or = " " Then
"This Field is Empty"
Else
Drag and dwop this formula in your report to get the field values.
Thanks,

How can I save cfquery sql text, not the results
Hi,
I have the need to save a dynamically generated cfquery actual sql, not the results.
I can see it in <cfdump var="#<qry_name>#"> but, how can I capture the actual sql
and save it in a var for later use ?
Thanks,
BobThe results property of the <cfquery....> tag allows you to put that information into a variable for later use.
I.E.
<cfquery ... results="stuff">...</cfquery>

Quizz not showing results messages
Can someone please help? I am not an expert of Capt. 5.5. I think I have everything set up right, but obviously I am missing something. At the end of the quiz, the result messages do not show, so people are not told specifically, "you passed", "you failed." Does anyone have any suggestions? I have posted my preferences to see if someone finds a problem with them. Thanks much for any help you can provide!
Did you perhaps delete the Review area on the score slide? The Quiz Results messages will be displayed in that text caption, so leave it alone.

I don't know why but I always have trouble with Quizzes in Adobe Presenter. I recently published a new module and the quiz appears but it won't show the results and it won't advance to the final slide of the presentation after the quiz is complete. I did get an error message when I saved the presentation (before I published it) but the quiz component still shows up in the published module....just not the results. I am still using Adobe Presenter 6 and I downgraded the ppt. to 2003 since the new version of ppt. has been a known problem. Does anyone have any advice?
I just now had the same problem (well almost... mine would advance after the quiz results page, but the results weren't showing). The solution that worked for me was to delete the Quiz Results page then go into the Quiz Manager and click OK. AP then generated a new Quiz Results page, which worked fine.
Thought I'd post this in case anyone else is searching through the forum because they're having the same problem (or if it happens to me and I forget how I fixed it)! -
We have Google Search embedded in our website. It was brought to my attention by one of our employees that Firefox is not showing the results of the search after the search button is clicked. The issue seems to be only confined to Firefox. Tested the issue on Internet Explorer 10 and Google Chrome and both are working as expected, showing the results on our results page.
I am using Windows 8, 64 bit, Firefox 30. The user having the issue is on Windows 7, 64 bit.
I used the Web console and there were an error message of
'TypeError: google.search.Search.apiary5337 is not a function'.
I am not sure this is the root of the issue or not, but why would this work in Chrome and Internet Explorer and not in Firefox?
If you need to check it, out website is http://www.dmns.org/ . The search box it on the top right of the page. You will see that the page redirects to our '/results?q=searchterm'. We are a science institution so if you type "science" in the search box, you will get redirected to the '/results' page with the query string of 'science' for the search term. But in my case the search results below are blank. If you do the same search if Chrome or IE the results show fine.
Oh, I do not have any add on installed on Firefox.
Any suggestions or a fix would be great.
Thank you.
Carlos MosquedaProblem SOLVED.
This is probably still a bug in Firefox. Our Google Search <script> that call the Javascript service from Google was within the Body tag. I moved the Script tag to the head and now it seems to work as expected. In the new Firefox, are <script> tags not allowed within the Body element? -

Re: VPD issue Need Assistance ASAP
where I wrote
"Your function returns a single string that happens to have a bunch of commas and quotes in it. An IN list generally requires a list of strings, which your function doesn't return.
You could rewrite the function to be a pipelined table function and then do
select count(*)
from baseclient.address_detail
where cidn in (SELECT cidn
FROM TABLE(<<your pipelined table function>>))
However, I would expect it to be easier not to wrap all this into a function and just have your IN clause be the logic in your predicate_cidn cursor.

PL/SQL function not showing DMBS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE result

As you can see the row with sysdate (12-AUG-09 ) in my first result is not shown in the second result set.
Can someone please tell me why this is so and how I could solve this problem?
Regards,
Dianasysdate contains time even if it's not shown. e.g. at 14:43:22 on Aug 12th 2009, sysdate would have a value of 12-AUG 2009 14:43:22, but unless you have changed your NLS_DATE_FORMAT setting you would only see the date portion of it.
When comparing a date value to sysdate you may need to truncate one or both values depending on the results you are looking for.

the only difference between these two queries is that I truncate sysdate in one of them:

select sysdate, t1.* from t1 where sysdate <= dt

"SUM" keyword does not show results in query manager
Im using the sql keyword sum in my query which displays sum of doctotal for all sales order created by a particular sales employee.. but it is just showing the doctotal row wise. Is there sum limitations on the sql syntax that can be used?
Also is it possible to show the sum of doctotals without callin it at row level,as we are printing redundant data. Im not using PLD as the requirement is just to show the result of the query.
Please help
Regards
ArisTry the query as
select sum(t.total) from
SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocTotal,T0.DocTotal - T0.VatSum, T0.DocDate, Sum(T0.DocTotal) as Total,Sum(T0.DocTotal - T0.VatSum) as withoutTax FROM ORDR T0 INNER JOIN OSLP T1 ON T0.SlpCode = T1.SlpCode
WHERE T1.SlpName ='Rajesh Nair' and T1.SlpCode -1
GROUP BY T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.VatSum, T0.DocTotal
) t
or in one query at the end as sum as
SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocTotal,T0.DocTotal - T0.VatSum, T0.DocDate, Sum(T0.DocTotal) as Total,Sum(T0.DocTotal - T0.VatSum) as withoutTax FROM ORDR T0 INNER JOIN OSLP T1 ON T0.SlpCode = T1.SlpCode
WHERE T1.SlpName ='Rajesh Nair' and T1.SlpCode -1
GROUP BY T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.VatSum, T0.DocTotal
UNION
select null, null, null, null, sum(t.total), null from
SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocTotal,T0.DocTotal - T0.VatSum, T0.DocDate, Sum(T0.DocTotal) as Total,Sum(T0.DocTotal - T0.VatSum) as withoutTax FROM ORDR T0 INNER JOIN OSLP T1 ON T0.SlpCode = T1.SlpCode
WHERE T1.SlpName ='Rajesh Nair' and T1.SlpCode -1
GROUP BY T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.VatSum, T0.DocTotal

SQL developer not showing compiler warnings
I'm just testing out the new compiler warning contained in 11g related to the "when others" exception handler when it does not have a subsequent raise or raise_application_error.
in SQL plus, this works fine:

Session altered.

No Errors.Anyone experience this issue? is there some setting that makes SQL developer behave differently?it must be something I'm doing wrong, above, I was running under windows 7 pointing at the version above.
I just tried it under an Enterprise Linux pointing at

NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production and I get exactly the same script output and no compiler window....
actually...... if I go into a procedure window from the schema browser and compile it there, then I get the correct warning messages..... the problem is I mostly develop from .sql files extracted from source control rather than directly from the schema browser, I just want the sql worksheet to be able to show me the same compiler log window.....
