SQL Login Not Found
I have a SQL Reporting Services instance being used for ConfigMgr 2012 R2. There is a SQL login with the format "DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser" that is mapped to the reporting databases and the site database. If I use the account "DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser"
for the data source account, it will fail login. If I change the account for the data source to "domain.net\ReportDataSourceUser", then it logs in successfully. However, ConfigMgr complains that it cannot find the login for "domain.net\ReportDataSourceUser".
I don't get why that is occurring. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Michael
Access in SQL is granted to "DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser". When I pick the windows ID, I am picking from the domain "domain.net" but then SQL transforms the login to say "DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser". That
is normal as what is used is the Pre-Windows2000 domain format in SQL.
This is nothing I am familiar with, but I don't have a domain to play with here.
I'm starting to think that the issue is with the ConfigMgr application. There may be a problem with the account used there. I have two versions there - one with the format "DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser" (Which doesn't work)
and one with the format "domain.net\ReportDataSourceUser" (Which does work). Maybe the non-working one has an incorrect password specified.
Password? You don't use password when log in with Windows authentication in SQL Server. But it could be a case of a bad SID.
Or are these passwords used by ConfigMgr for something? (Again, this is an application I'm completely ignorant of.)

from the little information in your post i would say try to import oracle.sql.*, oracle.jdbc.* and oracle.xdb.*. Make sure your project can access the following libraries ojdbc14.jar and xdb.jar.

Syc not working"login not found" after Format
i had Nigthly installed (last version) all synced i was forced to format my old partition then i re-installed nigthly and tryed to sync and it says login not found, but i can log in here ( https://account.services.mozilla.com/) then i tryed to create account on the "new sync" and tryed to sync and didnt sync my old stuff.
can anyone tell-me the way ? or someone superior can restore them ?
i had tons of stuff important there :(
Thanks in advanceHi vegetagaru,
I do not know if this will work, because I have not tried it, but you may need to install the old sync to recover the data from the old account. If you have your recovery key handy [[Install an older version of Firefox]] and login to the account.
If that is successful you can try the new sync [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]] -
Need help: Form6i PL/SQL library not found!
New oracle user need your help:
I installed Form6i and PO8i on NT, and config the tnsnames.ora file, they both worked fine to connect. But when I try to look into the PL/SQL library, it said PL/SQL library can not found. I deleted the classpath because with it I can't run Java, and the Sun help menu told me I can delete classpath to let it use current directory, is this the reason that Oracle can't find the library?
One more question: when I connect to database from Form, Username, Password, then Databasename, for this last one, if I leave it blank, it will connect to the database, but if I type in my database name(the default DB name), it will again give me error message, said TNS can't resolve service. Does anybody have a clue? Thank you so much! The answer for on more question:
It's not db name but service name.
A sample in tnsname.ora:
DKORCL[the service name].world =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = dlt_db_srv[host_name])(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = dkorcl[oracle service name])
You say,"u can leave it blank ",then u must work at the server. And the name u type in is not correct.
May this help u!

Greetings,
I have been having some issues with various areas in a SharePoint 2013 farm. While working my way through a bazillion errors in the event logs, I have found the following error. It looks to be happening every hour; almost exactly 5 minutes after
every hour.
"Cannot connect to SQL Server. A_PROD_SP01 not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.
Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding."
I also find, a health analyzer rule that is failing at the same time:
Availability: One or more servers is not responding.
However, there isn't any server listed in the Failing Servers section.
Any thoughts?
Thank you,
BobHi Bob,
For your issue, it can be caused by that the SharePoint database access account might not have the necessary permissions to communicate with the SQL Server. Please grant correct permissions to the database access account:
You must be a member of the Farm Administrators group to perform this task.
Assign the database access account:
On the Central Administration home page, click Security and in the
General Security section click Configure service accounts.
On the Service Accounts page, in the Credential Management section, in the upper drop-down list click the correct Web application pool for your Web application.
In the Select an account for this component drop-down list, click the domain account that you want to associate with this Web application pool, or click
Register new managed account to associate a new domain account with this application pool.
Click OK to save changes.

I have tried from so many forms. This is so frustrating. Thank for everyone/anyone who wants to help. So this is what happened: I had to uninstall my previous sqlserver 2012(which worked great) for some reason, and I uninstalled everything from that download.
Then I installed the trial edition of sql server 2012 (64 Bit) and It wouldn't connect to the database. (Error mentioned above.) My local DB is COWBOYS. (COWBOYS is also my computer name.) After this, I have tried downloading sqlexpress and sqlserver 64bit
many times and cannot connect to my local DB.
How do I connect to my Local DB?
Also, I think this might help: (When I run sqlserve.exe, which I was able to find in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\LocalDB\Binn, I get an error: Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with(Error getting
instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
I would happily re install it, if it wasn't my 20th time.
I don't have any remote connections, I don't use username/password, only window authentication. I work mostly on visual studio, but without able to store /retrieve data, I don't know how to survive.
May be the solution is very simple, but I am too frustrated.
Some of the things I have tried:
From a command prompt, enter one of the following commands:
net start "SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER)" OR
net start "SQL Server Agent(instancename)"(for instance)
on my sql configuration, I cannot start anything because there is nothing there to start. I can post more details, if that would help. Also, some more details about the error:

Any one that can help me, I will be greatful. Thank you so much. p.s. please ask me anything if you have any questions. It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

SCCM 2012 Setup error when setting SQL connection info "Network Path Was Not Found"
Hello.
I'm facing an issue during CCM 2012 SP1 Beta Setup on step "DB INFORMATION"
My lab is set like that:
1x Front-end WS 2012 rtm "CCM Install on it" (Fresh install = no features installed)
1x Back-end WS 2012 rtm SQL Server 2012 SP1 (I don't know if this is supported).
On the sql Side there is already a first instance with SCVMM 2012 SP1(beta) environment that work well.
A second dedicated instance is ready for CCM install.
Named Pipes enabled , TCP/IP Enabled
Firewall rules for 1433 and 4022 are enabled on the Domain profile ,other profiles are disabled.
Instance Service is running with a domain account
Everything is published in AD (delegations for computer account), Schema Prep already done manually.
I'm Able to resolve dns name of the SQL server on the CCM VM and telnet 4022 + 1433 ports.
For the finish here is the end of Setup Wizard logs:
