    Hi CFSA,
    Thanks for your post.
If you want install TFS 2012 Server with Reporting Server, you must ensure the provided Reporting Services is running first.
As Daniel said, please check that in SQL Server Configuration Manager to ensure Reporting Services is installed and running.

  • SP1 to R2 Upgrade - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database

    Hello,
Am trying to upgrade a SCOM SP1 environment to SCOM R2( 3 MGT servers, 1 GW and 2 Web console boxes )
    The prerequisites are failing and it is stating the following ;
Operational Database SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database
Data Warehouse  SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the data warehouse
The SQL servers are running SQL 2012 SP1 64 Enterprise, which is compatible.
All other pre-upgrade tasks have been done.
    Help appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue, I believe. I think that Tubble has problem with SCOM 2012. Not 2007.
I've checked the compatibility list for both SCOM 2012 SP1 and R2. All newer Windows Server and SQL versions are supported. We're running the SQL 2012 SP1 x64 Standard edition on a Windows Server 2012 Standard.
I even tried to move the database from SQL 2012 to an older SQL 2008 R2, but that's not supported either. Only upgrading. Not downgrading.
So, I started checking the opsMgrSetupWizard.log file for clues. And the error message was there as well. But the reason why it says not supported is that it can't get the info about the OS version, so I guess it assumes the OS version is to low. The RPC
    service can not be reached.

So, in our case this was just a FW that was blocking some high ports between management server and SQL. I believe TCP port 135 also needs to be open.
Let's hope this fixes your issue as well, Tubble.
    Have a great day!

  • Xcelcius frontend for SQL Server database, minimum license and componets

Experienced with SQL, Crystal, and B1, new to Xcelcius, and confused by components and licensing.
I've been experimenting with Xcelcius Present 2008. Now I want to create an Xcelcius dashboard for a SQL Server 2005 database (Business One company data). For the moment, I am not interested in a reports server, scheduler, etc. If I just want to create a Crystal Report with Xcelcius visuals embedded that displays dynamic SQL Server data to one user, what do I need to buy and install?
    TIA

with an unlimited number of users.

individuals. If you require additional design licenses, you may purchase additional Xcelsius Engage licenses. Xcelsius Engage may not be used to create dashboards and visual models connected to SAP data systems, BusinessObjectsu2122 Enterprise or BusinessObjects Edge Series.
Share self-contained and live dashboards: With Xcelsius Engage, you also may share, with an unlimited number of users, self-contained dashboards and dashboards connected to a live data source u2013 as long as they are not connected to SAP data systems, BusinessObjects platforms or distributed as part of a commercial sales, rental, or lease.

  • SQL Server 2012 SP2 support for installation of OM 2012 R2

    Hello everyone,
    according to
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn281933.aspx SQL Server 2012 SP2 is a supported configuration for SCOM 2012 R2.
Now I've just happily set up an SQL 2012 R2 Instance with SP1 on Windows Server 2012 R2, applied the SP2 and made the Installation a Windows Server Core. Which worked just great but when I started the Setup for SCOM2012 R2 the installer says my SQL Server
Version is not supported and will not allow the Setup to continue. I've also upgraded the Reporting Services Database to 2012 SP2 aswell, I guess that would appear on the next page on the installer and cause similar issues.
I guess it's a configuration value that needs to be changed on the install media to add the SQL Server Version of SP2 as an allowed one.
Can anyone clarify my theory? If it's not that, is there an updated Media somewhere accessible?

    Hi,
Please check install logs for further information:

I've even highlighted in Bold what it's moaning about so can we please for gods sake cut it down already? I do know SQL Server, I've been working with OM for years I don't need to be told to disable the Firewall, I can read and think through Errors so how about

  • SQL Server 2005 collation type for the Discovery System?

    Greetings,
The SQL Server 2005 Eval 180 day license expired on our Discovery System. I un-installed the Eval copy and installed a licensed SQL Server 2005 EE instance. I searched for the SQL Server collation, and found SAP Note 600027, which recommended Binary order for use with the 850 Multilingual Character Set as the collation.
I attached the existing databases using the script provided with the Discovery system. Started up the SAP ERP instance. I then tried to log into the ERP 300 and got a START_CALL_SICK error message. From the error message details I find, "DB CHECK Wrong Server collation. Perform SQL2005 after upgrade steps. Please see note 126973". Note 126973 seemed to refer me to note 799058. However this talks about upgrading....
It appears to me I simply chose the wrong SQL Server 2005 collation type when installing the licensed coipy of SQL Server.
What collation type should be used?
    Thanks,
    Jay Warling

After reviewing what I did, it appears I neglected to detach the databases before un-installing SQL Server 2005 evaluation copy.
I did stop the ERP system via the SAP MMC before un-installing but did not detach the databases.
I believe the collation is actually correct, but I am stumped as how to proceed with the START_CALL_SICK error message.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Jay

  • Sql Server 2012 Login Failed for user "NT Authority\System"

I have installed SQL Server on a new server. I have been getting the following error on each of the database in it.
Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'ABC'. [CLIENT: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Here is some information on the instance:
    1) Default instance
    2) SQL Server, Sql Server Agent, Sql Server Reporting services are running / log on using a domain service account.
    3) Sql Server Browser is disabled.
    4) SQL Server VSS Writer is running / log on as Local Service.
    5) NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM does exists in Login with just public server roles.
I ran a trace on login failed and I get:
    ApplicationName: Microsoft Windows Script Host
and it runs every 15 minutes.
    Help please?

    Hi,
The error was thrown when the SCOM components connected to the backend SCOM databases.
You can specify a domain account, grant it the sysadmin role and the error should be gone.
Also, see the replies in your previous thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/23f6b6cb-ec41-4117-8613-26d24c948827/login-failed-for-user-username-reason-failed-to-open-the-explicitly-specified-database
    Thanks.
