SQL to XML to Spry Table not working

I have created a table that uses PHP to pull mySQL data... it
works fine.
But if I copy the SQL statement into another php file, then
use the "Export to XML" function in order to use that XML file as a
Spry dataset, so that I can sort my columns, I receive an error
while creating the dataset.
The problem is in the WHERE statement in the SQL. The code is
attached... But here it is as well
WHERE subtbltripparticipants.tripid = '$_GET[trip_id]'
It's the $_GET that is freaking it out. This code is supposed
to pull the variable from the URL. It works in a regular recordset
in DW, but not in a recordset that is exported to XML. Is there a
different syntax to use? How can I get the variable that is sent
via URL to be used in the Spry dataset as a filter?
When I created the dataset, and choose the php file with the
SQL in it as the "XML Source", I get "Expected comment or
processing instruction(2,1) in the "Row Element" section, where the
nodes should show up. I don't understand this error and don't
understand why the SQL works in a standard table, but not in an XML
export for Spry.
Please advise. Thanks,
Bubba

Ok,
I tried that and it basically bring you to OLI7BW as suggested above.
1. At this point, how do you know which of these it is actually filling:
2LIS_11_VAHDR Sales Document Header Data
2LIS_11_VAITM Sales Document Item Data
2LIS_11_VAKON Sales Document Condition
2LIS_11_VASCL Sales Document Schedule Line
2LIS_11_VASTH Sales Document Header Status
2LIS_11_VASTI Sales Document Item Status
2LIS_11_V_ITM Sales-Shipping Allocation Item Data
2LIS_11_V_SCL Sales-Shipping Allocation Schedule Line
2LIS_11_V_SSL Sales Document Order Delivery
2. Also, what does it mean when after running OLI7BW wide, with no restriction on my system, still rsa3 shows no records for 2LIS_11_V_SCL?
Any other way to confirm that there may not be any data in 2LIS_11_V_SCL?
Or any way, to make an entry which reflect in 2LIS_11_V_SCL so that I can verify if OLI7BW actually fills the setup table?
Thanks

I have lots of difficulties using SQL Developer, the cut/paste does not work properly, when I type search in he code editor it just paste or type the test in the source code not in the serach box. Very hectic I'm pallning to swicth to TOAD until they a a good version.

    Hello Aukhez,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with SQLDeveloper - personally, I've never had any problems with cut/copy/paste and searching, and I've been using SQLDeveloper from v1.0 to the current version, on practically every version of the JDK from 1.5-1.6u16 on both Windows and Linux.
Sorry to state the obvious, but perhaps if you could provide a bit more specific information - such as platform, version, etc - and details of what you tried to do, someone here might be able to help...? Regarding speed, there are quite a few things you can do to make this better, but again, without knowing your setup, it's hard to give you proper directions. Plus, you'll find numerous threads here and on google about what you can do to improve speed.

  • Text in Spry Slideshow, not working in Explorer.

    Hi,
I have attempted to search for a similar topic, but am not able to find anything.
I have input the spry slideshow into my page, and it is fully functional for safari, chrome, firefox, but seems like it is only not working in IE.
The text that is supposed to be showing up to the right of the images is not showing with IE.
I had read a couple things on opacity, or such but am not sure if it applies to the text as well.

  • Spry dataset not working in Template - please help

    Hi all,
I have a situation where when I pull a spry dataset from an
xml file and display the contents in a table which works fine in a
regular html page but not a template formed page for repeatable
    region.
The error I get is FAILED TO RETRIEVE DATA SET FOR SPRY
REPEAT. Prior to that it tells me GetParentDataSet is null or not
an object. I tried setting up a repeat region around the repeated
rows but that didn't work either. So I pulled everything else out
that might be causing the problem but nothing. I checked the
pathing as well for the spry assets and it checks out okay.
    Anyway, here's the template.
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0

What am I missing here? Like I said I even tried putting a
repeat region around the table itself.
    Thanks,
    -- Jim

    Hey,
Good to have a comm expert on this. Actually I solved the
problem. It was combination of what I was doing within the template
and the way the xml file was formed. Also, I had to use a template
parameter to feed a spry:test filter.
Thanks for getting back to me anyway.

Turns out I was having a common problem- our web servers were not set up to send the xml as xml.  The mime headers were set to text rather then xml.  I work in a large federal site where the hardware is 3 contractors removed from the web team...
This was only a problen in IE 7 as it looks for the header type, while IE6 and FF do not...

  • Spry examples not working when sitting on UNIX servers

    Hi All,
I've been looking at the SPry dynamic table examples with the
intention of using this with my own xml files. When viewing these
samples locally it displays fine. When uploading onto our server,
it displays nothing. There is a quick flash of the first two rows
but then won't parse the XML into the table structure and then is
    blank.
As I said works fine running locally on Win XP using IE6.0
but using IE6.0 running off a UNIX server, nothing.
    Baffled. Can anyone help?
    Kind regards
    Paul Pounder

    Hello Paul,
Maybe this is just a basic permission problem. Maybe the new
server is configured to serve the .xml files, the read/write
permissions are correct or the mime-types for this type of file is
    not correct.
In this situation you should simply try into the browser to
manually call the XML data file and see if the file is correctly
delivered. In case this scenario works then please give us an URL
    to take a look too.
    Regards,
    Cristian

I have read tons of forum postings about Drop down menus not working in IE, however, mine don't work in any browser or in the Live View either. You do not have a constructor for the menu bar as in
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1", {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"});
    </script>
There are too many mistakes in the JS outside of the Spry Menu Bar. Have a look at the following which includes all errors, not just the JS

This message may appear in several cases:
You tried to include the "<" character in your page: you should escape it as "&lt;"
You used an unescaped ampersand "&": this may be valid in some contexts, but it is recommended to use "&amp;", which is always safe.
Another possibility is that you forgot to close quotes in a previous tag.

An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon (;). The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs as described by the WDG in "Ampersands in URLs".
Entity references start with an ampersand (&) and end with a semicolon (;). If you want to use a literal ampersand in your document you must encode it as "&amp;" (even inside URLs!). Be careful to end entity references with a semicolon or your entity reference may get interpreted in connection with the following text. Also keep in mind that named entity references are case-sensitive; &Aelig; and &aelig; are different characters.
If this error appears in some markup generated by PHP's session handling code, this article has explanations and solutions to your problem.
Note that in most documents, errors related to entity references will trigger up to 5 separate messages from the Validator. Usually these will all disappear when the original problem is fixed.

This is usually a cascading error caused by a an undefined entity reference or use of an unencoded ampersand (&) in an URL or body text. See the previous message for further details.

incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Frameset" document type to get the "<frameset>" element),
by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "<spacer>" or "<marquee>" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).

You have used the element named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not define an element of that name. This error is often caused by:
incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Frameset" document type to get the "<frameset>" element),
by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "<spacer>" or "<marquee>" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).
by using upper-case tags in XHTML (in XHTML attributes and elements must be all lower-case).

        margin-bottom: 0;
        margin-left: auto;
/* ~~ These are the columns for the layout. ~~
    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements within these divs have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
    2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a div set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the div's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
    3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar divs could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
    4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all right instead of all left) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the divs around in the HTML source.

I got preview in any browser OK, like I wanted but clicking on tabs not working and they not switching content per each tab. I maked tabindexes: 0, 10, 20,30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and nothing works.
    Where is problem?

But the tabs do work and the content does show!
Clicking the first two tabs causes the content to fly over to the right, outside of the content panel, exactly as the style rules tell it to.
Clicking the other 7 tabs causes the content to show aligned to the left within the content panel, again as per the style rules.
The total height of the tabs is 882 px including the bottom margins.
The height of the content panels varies with the content, in case of the first two tabs there is no content contained within the content panel thus the height is zero; of the remaining content panels the height is about 1.5x the height of one line.
In other words there are no surprises except for the fact that it would have been better not to have used the SpryTabbedPanels widget for this.
Of course I am supposing that you have changed the personality of the TabbedPanel widget on purpose.
If this is not the case then a good start will be
to get rid of the modified SpryTabbedPanels.css and re-instate the original.
to get rid of the all of the apDiv's including those inside the content panel.
to reduce the overall height of the tabs to a manageable height by reducing the height of the images.

  • Pdf form for data from another form with data, xml or pdf, tables not expanding

    Sir,
I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and LifeCylce to do these forms. I have made several subforms for a Risk Assessment for the mission they fly. I have also made up another form with tables that would connect with each subform data. This form also will give me and others a % of the values received from the data to help us with seeing problem area towards Safety.
I am able to connect the data to the form from the Risk Forms but when I go and add another group of data it over writes the data that was already in the data collection form. The tables are dynamic and able to expand with the generated data but when I compile several Risk Forms, xml. data into one single data group, the receiving tables will not except this data. To compile the data I am in Acrobat and using the form-manage form data-merge data to spreadsheet than enter as a report that is xml. Still not working. I also tried to save the form, with data already in the tables, and then opened it again and add data to it, it will over write the existing data in the form. This form does work great with the generated data in LiveCycle.
    Any suggestions???

    Thanks Paul
Did as you said and for each subform binding tab made sure I have "Repeat subform for each data item" checkbox and still no change when I add the data.
I even tried to combine the xml data and that file just has the main page and not the data pages. just another problem that is happening.
Any other suggestions on this expanding tables and receive single forms one at a time.

  • TRUNCATE TABLE NOT WORKING AFTER DROPPING CONSTRAINTS

    Hi,
I have a table with a foreign key constraint. I know you can't truncate tables when there are foreign key constraints. So I drop the constraints before running the TRUNCATE TABLE command. But SQL Server is still stating there are foreign key constraints
even after they have just been dropped.
When I use SQL Server Management Studio to generate a drop & create script on this table or any other table with an FK consttaint, the generated script fails stating that there are still foreign key constraints??
I have the same problem for every table that has FK constraints, for those without FK, TRUNCATE table works without issues.
The end goal is to reset the identity value of the primary key. Since DBCC does not work on Azure, TRUNCATE TABLE is the only way left, especially if you can't even drop and recreate tables with FK constraints.
    What am I missing here?
    Peter

    Hi,
    Thanks for posting here.
TRUNCATE TABLE is similar to the DELETE statement with no WHERE clause; however, TRUNCATE TABLE is faster and uses fewer system and transaction log resources.
TRUNCATE TABLE removes all rows from a table, but the table structure and its columns, constraints, indexes, and so on remain. To remove the table definition in addition to its data, use the DROP TABLE statement.
If the table contains an identity column, the counter for that column is reset to the seed value defined for the column. If no seed was defined, the default value 1 is used. To retain the identity counter, use DELETE instead.
    Restrictions
You cannot use TRUNCATE TABLE on tables that:
•Are referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint. (You can truncate a table that has a foreign key that references itself.)
    •Participate in an indexed view.
•Are published by using transactional replication or merge replication.
For tables with one or more of these characteristics, use the DELETE statement instead.
TRUNCATE TABLE cannot activate a trigger because the operation does not log individual row deletions. For more information, see CREATE TRIGGER (Transact-SQL).
    Truncating Large Tables
Microsoft SQL Server has the ability to drop or truncate tables that have more than 128 extents without holding simultaneous locks on all the extents required for the drop.
    Permissions--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The minimum permission required is ALTER on table_name. TRUNCATE TABLE permissions default to the table owner, members of the sysadmin fixed server role, and the db_owner and db_ddladmin fixed database roles, and are not transferable. However, you
can incorporate the TRUNCATE TABLE statement within a module, such as a stored procedure, and grant appropriate permissions to the module using the EXECUTE AS clause.
You cannot truncate a table which has an FK constraint on it.
Typically my process for this is:
    Drop the constraints
    Trunc the table
    Recreate the constraints.
    Hope this helps you.

  • 4.0 EA3 -- SQL Server Drag and drop still not working

My clients love SQLD D because they can access SQL Server and Access as well as Oracle of course.
Drag and Drop of tables  from the table view have not worked in a while.
appear to only see things in the Master Database. Even if you retrieve the list of databases and set you still en up only in the MASTER.
You then have to fully qualify to retrieve a table.

What exactly is your question here?

  • DB Adapter Re Import Table Not working (JDev 11.1.1.6.0)

I am trying to refresh the DB adapter tables after a few columns were added. Here is what I did.
Adapter configuration wizard --> Import Tables --> Query table --> Move the same table from Available section to Selected Section --> Click OK.
A message pops up to confirm 'Re-Import Table'. Click Yes.
At this point it is suppose to refresh the table and add the new columns. But when I click next, it says there are new columns available in the table. The new columns are not added to the DB adapter query.
Has any one faced this issue? Please suggest any ideas or work around to add the columns.
    Thanks
    Ismail M.

Re-Import table did not work for me even after lot of struggle. I tried tampering with jca, wsdl etc, re-installed the JDeveloper, tried on multiple machines but nothing worked. I finally gave up and recreated the DB adapter with 'pure sql query' option instead of tables. Re did the mappings etc. It was hard but I seem to have no other options. I will never use the table option again.

    Hello,
Try to use port 465, port 2587 or port 587 instead of using port 25, as explained on the following articles.
    http://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/smtp-issues.html
    http://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/smtp-connect.html
The first of above URLs is intended for troubleshooting SMTP issues in general.
Verify you the mail account has not reached any limit. Limit of emails per day, per second, etc.
    Hope this helps.

You should use the scripting forum. I only hack at Photoshop scripting when I need to.  What I put together is usually made from code I find on the web and modify to do what I want to do. When it come down to it I really don't know javascript.  Your javascript knowledge is way beyond mine.  To tell the truth I don'e even understand the syntax of you first statment after target Photoshop.
I have a programming background but most of mine was was in design, debugging, and developing programming development tools.  I retired back in 2002.   I never got into Object orientated programming though it was in full swing as was C programming along with java.  Microsoft had given up on its object orientate desktop OS2 system sidetracking IBM with it.
I did not look closely at your code.  That something you should do. You know more then I do.....
In the scripting forum you will get better help then I can give you.   Many of the better scriptwriter seem to have left there becase of  frustration with Adobe support. However there are some that still visit there regularly.
You may want to look into Xtools there open source and the author still visits the forum from time to time. I have use some of his scripts but have never gotten into his library I'm retired I only play a little to keep some brain function. ps-scripts - Browse /xtools at SourceForge.net
