SQLS/internalExecute-SQLError: 'Error #3128: Disk I/O error occurred.', details:'', operation:'execute'

Is this happening when a specific .muse file is open? Does it happen during or immediately after the open completes? Or is it occurring randomly while working with Muse?
Please send the MuseLog.txt file from your Documents folder to [email protected] along with a link to this thread.
As you work, Muse both reads from the file you opened and writes the changes you're making to disk in temp files stored on your startup drive. Without more information it's unclear which file is generating this error. Answers to the questions above along with the MuseLog.txt file will help.

  • Error #3128 - Disk I/O error occoured

After attempting to open a saved .muse file/project.  It only does it to one of the saved projects, the other open without error. Any ideas?

    Hi Aish-
    Hello-
I get the Error # 3128: Disk 1/O error Occurred  when I try and open the program. I read in this post to move from external storage to desktop so I tried. Now I am getting two more error messages. Saying there is data missing and it can't be moved. I uploaded to my FTP the night before, saved everything and shut down my MAC. Then when I tried to open all these errors started.  Now I am panicked because it's a site I've been working on for three months and I think it could all be lost. HELP please!

  • Error "get disk space file error" to install patch p158 to FM 7.2

I have Adobe FM 7.2 with the Patch B144 on Windows 7 x64 and when I try to install the new patch AdobeFrameMaker7_2p158Patcher.exe I get the error "get disk space file error" and the window freeze.

    > I have Adobe FM 7.2 with the Patch B144 on Windows 7 x64 and ...
I'm surprised that FM7 even runs native in Win7. I would expect various random problems during FM ops, and a complete inability to reliably use the Acrobat/Distiller5 that came with FM7 (although a later version of Acrobat/Distiller, separately installed, might work, esp. if using a Print-to-Ps-and-Distill workflow).
You need to install FM7 inside a virtual machine. There are several solutions (e.g. Virtual Box) for that, some of which require that the CPU have hardware virtualization. Most AMD chips do. It's often fused-off, however, on low end Intel chips (just because you didn't pay enough).
I've built a Win7 Pro64 PC, and run FM7 in XP Mode (a virtual machine that is a complete instance of Windows XP/32, and not to be confused with Compatibility Mode). XP Mode is a free download from Microsoft, still available, but only for Windows 7 Enterprise, Professional and Ultimate (not Basic, Home or not-so-Premium). Note: XPM is not supported on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. You'll need a 3rd-party VM for that (and you'll probably have to install your own copy of XP in any 3rd party VM).
If your chip is AMD, there's a hotfix patch (KB 2519949 as I recall) you need to install before you do anything else about XPM. This patch is not included in any of the 200+ Windows Updates that a virtualized XP wants you to install, in several waves (yes, this takes a while).
    And from a related discussion:
    >> Microsoft no longer support WinXP, does it a risk to use it?
After you install XP in the VM, and apply all 200+ Windows Updates, and install the apps you need:
    disable the VM's networking capability*
or at the very least never use a browser inside the VM
if possible, let the AV software in the host OS access the VM's virtual drive
MS is going to EOL Windows 7 in 2015Q2 as well.
    * For some apps, the networking would need to be on periodically for license validation.

  • Internal Hard Drive Died - Now replaced - Disk Utility Internal Error

When using the original system disk to install OSX the new hard drive isn't recognised even though I have formatted it for an intel based mac (GUID Partition, Extended Journaled etc) using my imac . When launching Disk Utility from the system disk and trying to erase/partion the drive, I get the following error message "Disk Utility Internal Error - Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool...". When connected to my imac using a converter it appears on my desktop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The macbook in question is a 2006 (white). PLEASE HELP.....

Hi - Thanks for your reply. I have tried that but it still doesn't work. I have had a look around online for the past couple of hours and I found a post that said that newer hard drives can't be recognised by an original 10.4 osx system disk. I would need to find a copy of 10.5 to install OSX on a new hard drive. I dont know if that's true because I dont have a copy of 10.5. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

  • Disk Management Tool error in Disk Utility

Update: (first, reviewing problem that I and others have been having, including on 10.4.x systems):
When I attempt to repair permissions on my HD with Disk Utility, I get this specific error message: "Disk Utility internal error -- Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility" and the repair-permissions will not proceed. It fails to get the proper "correct" permissions info for that drive to allow the repair. The error log points to a file in the Library called "DiskManagementToll" The path is ~/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DiskManagement.framework/Resources/DiskManag ementTool)
This problem is appearing in many forums here and elsewhere, including 10.4.x systems (like mine) and persists in a few after deleting suggested files. Is there a sophisticated solution that addresses the problem through the DiskManagementTool file by replacing some values or replacing the file from a backup vis SUDO or Root?
Previous posts have focused on Macs running 10.3.x and with iTunes 6.0x installed. Not here, so the problem is more general. None of the "delete iTunes / plists / Chess.app" suggested fixes have worked for me. Also tried running DU from my Tiger install disk; no luck! -- still fails when it tries to determine the correct permissions.
The "DiskManagementTool" file apparently either stores the correct file permissions or handles reading them from the receipts in the Library. If I understand things right, Disk Utility is actually a (user)-permissioned graphic front end, while DiskManagementTool is a Root-user-level tool that actually does the heavy lifting. Can I replace -- and any benefit to that -- or rewrite it with proper access?
There is a complete crash log report in Crash Reporter, by the way. Anyone want the text, and would it help figure out what's happening?
I've tried the suggested deletion of iTunes 6.0.2 or Chess.app and their plists (these and other steps were suggested on MacFixIt at http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060111090035797 the advice is, basically, to delete iTunes 6.0.2 and/or Chess.app and related plist files.) As I said, no luck!
Everyone that I talk to says it MUST be the fault of some other 3rd-party disk utility software.
For what it's worth, I HAVE run Disk Warrior -- and, the drive that's having the problem is a recent reinstall from a backup using Carbon Copy Cloner. The original disk is NOT having such a problem, only the hard drive on my iBook after the reinstall. Don't know if that gives any clues (or to how the link gets somehow disengaged between Disk Utility and the Disk Management Tool file / software).
Any thoughts on that? What about replacing the Disk Management Tool file in the Library or forcing some kind of re-link to it? some Unix guru MUST know a fix!
Obviously, the big worry for me is that I can't update my System to 10.4.5 or anything else without repairing permissions first. This IS a big deal. And others are having the same problem. Help?!?
    New 2 GHz dual g5 , Dual g4, & iBook G4 (recent) Mac OS X (10.4.4)

A system problem was involved that became, briefly, a "known issue" that was solved in the next minor update. Solved, anyway, by the advice given by the last poster. Thanks! SJ

  • I got this error message "An internal error has occured:Lightroom+Fatal_SQLite_corruption::Database:I:\LR Catalog 5\Lightroom 5 Catalog.Ircat::Error:database disk image is malformed::SQL:DELETE FROM Adobe_Additional MetadataWHEREid_ local"

What does this error message mean.  I have an external drive and I wonder if it is corrupted and if I can restore what is lost there.

    Hi breinhar9911
I've never seen a case where Lr has managed to delete a catalog or backups, so something really sounds odd there.  I've seen cases where it's lost track of where they are, but I can't think of a way LR could delete them.  LR doesn't even know backups exist!
Which NTFS on Mac software are you using?  Considering how new Mountain Lion is, that's the first place I'd be looking for odd issues.  I'm no expert in odd error messages, but disk I/O error stands out to me in that message.
When you've had the catalog on the internal drive, what were the failures you were getting then?

  • SQL SERVER 2012 Installed to SMB share Error 59 (An unexpected network error occurred)

I have installed SQL 2012 on a clustered file share. When I try to add space to extend the log file for a database I get the following error
    Msg 5149, Level 16, State 3, Line 1
MODIFY FILE encountered operating system error 59(An unexpected network error occurred.) while attempting to expand the physical file '\\server\share\path to ldf file.ldf'
The SQL service is running under a local domain account that does not have administrator rights to the system.  The service account does have full disk and share permissions and the service starts without any problems.  I have applied all the cluster
hotfixes and all the current Windows Updates.  If I log into the system as the SQL service domain user account I can access the share and have full rights to it.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

The LDF file is 16 GB
Free space on the drive is 62 GB
Expansion is set to 10 percent
I have several instances on this cluster, some are installed to drive letters and others to the clustered file share.  The error only occurs on the SQL 2012 instances that are installed to the clustered file share.
I installed them to the clustered file share because I am running out of drive letters in the cluster.

  • No Audio Playback due to Error Message "Disk is too slow. (Prepare) (-10001)"

Out of the blue, no audio playback.  Was working just fine earlier today.
I repeatedly get the error message:
    Disk is too slow. (Prepare)
    (-10001)
NOTE: I have more than enough disc space.  That is NOT the issue.
I also just got a second error message:
Part of the Project was not played
This project has too many real instrument tracks to be played in real-time. To optimize performance, see the 'Optimizing GarageBand performance' page in GarageBand Help.
NOTE: Odd as I have only 2 tracks in the GarageBand file.
    Any others experience this?  Suggestions?

Have a look into the Preferences folder (YourUserFolder/Libraries/Preferences/) and trash all Logic preferences.
You'll have to setup the program again.
    cheers

    Hi,
Opened a tac and managed to get the resolution of the problem. For those with the same problem reported by me above just follow the procedure below:
    1. uninstall existing SRE-V software
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/sre_v/1.5/user/guide/software.html#wp1055364
    2. run sm-hw-util to set sata mode to IDE
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/sre_v/1.5/user/guide/software.html#wp1091438
    3. configure a static, 32bit route to point the service module IP address to the SM slot/0 interface
    ip route 255.255.255.255 SM slot/0
    4. install WAAS:

  • Contacts on client machine suffer from disk I/O errors

Contacts are running slow if not at all on my client machines.  I check the logs and it is having trouble with accessing the files and or writing the files.  all other programs seem to work fine.  Mail hangs but I think it is because of the contacts issue.  It seems to have trouble reading the contacts list and dumps the list and attempts to rebuild from iCloud and the server.  there are many .unknown files in the library.  The logs state that there is a disk I/O error while accessing /Network/myserver/Volumes/MyBook/Users/username/Library/Address Book (this is from memory but it is close).  The contacts work perfectly (as expected) if the user is logged into the server.
I am running 10.8 server and clients with shared home folders.  the user folders are on an external drive.  the drive does have permissions turned on.  I have wiped out the contacts directory in the  Library folder and it proceeds to rebuild but the problem is still there.
would rebuilding the clients from scratch help?

At first I thought it may be related to upgraded 10.8 clients and server i.e. went throught the normal install option without re-installing OSX.
So I completely rebuild (i.e. erased and then installed Mountain Lion from USB stick) the server and the client machines...but I still get the same issue, so clearly this is NOT the solution.
I have also observed (upon reading others' issues with Contacts/mail) apple forums - so I followed the the same action (trashed the Address Book folder in ~Library/Application Support/ ) after unchecking everything in iCloud in system prefs/restarting etc.) but this doesn't so solve the problem either
I also observed teh following behaviours:
Login into iCloud for the first time - appears to be ok
Run Contacts - appears to be ok
Wait the addresses to sync from iCloud - appears to be ok
    Quit
Run Contacts - still appears to be ok
(i.e. the errors above are not displayed in log)
Run Mail (which takes a long time)
Contacts sudden looses all address and effectively both Mail and Contacts freeeze. It is at this point I start seeing the above errors
I get a further odd error in Contacts (in a triange with '!' warning)
Basically Contacts and mail don't seem to want to work together - they appear ok in isolation - obviously this isn't acceptable.
I've noted that if I create a local logon on any one of the client macs, the issue with contacts/mail does not occur and runs perfectly smoothly. So in my eyes it appears to be a problem in Mountain Lion Server/Client Combo Only (I did not have this issue under Lion Server/Client Combo)

  • Why am I getting this error message, "Disk is too slow. (Prepare) (-10001)"

Hello all!  I've been using GarageBand for a while now and I've accumulated quite a few files.  Along with all of my movies and iTunes library, my internal hard drive filled up rapidly and I didn't catch it.  I received a warning message on my screen one day saying that my hard drive was nearly full and I only had a few MB available.  I'm using a 150 GB Solid State Hard Disk on my 2009 MacBook Pro (2.6 GHz Intel Cre 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM).  I remembered reading a while back that it's better to use an external hard drive for pretty much everything when using Garageband, so I bought one.  I now have a seagate 500 GB, 5400 rpm external (USB 2.0) and I moved ALL of my movies and music over to it.  I freed up around 60 GB of space on my internal hard drive in doing so.
So now that I've given you a little background, let me explain the issue I'm having.  Before I noticed that my hard drive was full, I started receiving this error message:
    Disk is too slow. (Prepare)
    (-10001)
Upon receiving this message, I was unable to do pretty much anything in GarageBand.  I couldn't listen to tracks, export to iTunes, or do anything!  All I'm using GarageBand for is editing.  My band and I do all our recording (and mixing) offsite at a separate studio and i just deliver a 2 track stereo signal (L/R) to my MacBook.  From there, I just cut the individual tracks from a block of 30-45 minutes of recording because we just record our entire studio session and mix everything there.  I pretty much never have more than two tracks and a few effects going at the same time.
After I realized that my disk was nearly full, I consulted my brother-in-law.  He's head of the IT Deartpment at a major hospital here in West L.A. and he told me that I may have created a problem with the cache by filling up my internal hard drive and that I may still have issues with performance even after I free up space.  He then told me that I may need to reboot my MacBook a few time to "free up the cache" (or something close to that, sorry guys I'm not that tech-savvy).  It seems he may have been right, as I'm still experiencing the same issue.  I rebooted around 10 times overall to no avail.  I'm still using my internal hard drive to store the files that I'm working on (temporarily) because USB 2.0 is way too slow for my liking, when using GarageBand.
I've read quite a few articles on this offering solutions such as:
    1.  Do a complete Uninstall and Reinstall of GarageBand
    2.  Clone my hard drive to my external, format it, and reinstall everything back on it
    3.  Get a hard drive that supports Firewire 800 (The HDD I bought is USB 2.0, but it has two USB cables to increase speed, but I only have 1 port and I tried      a powered USB Hub, but this HDD won't work with it for some reason).
    4.  Use different editing software.
    5.  Take it to Apple!
Will any of these things fix my problem?  Are some better than others?  Before I do anything, I wanted to ask this question on the furum to see if anybody had an easier (or cheaper!) solution.  Any suggestions, tips, or advice would be much appreciated, as my band is starting to get on my case about finishing our CD!  Thanks...

Have a look into the Preferences folder (YourUserFolder/Libraries/Preferences/) and trash all Logic preferences.
You'll have to setup the program again.
    cheers

  • Ever since upgrading to Lion I keep getting the error message "disk was not ejected properly."

Ever since upgrading to Lion on my iMac G5 Intel Core 2 Duo, I keep getting the error message "disk was not ejected properly."  I have repaired permissions and reformatted my external LaCie 2TB USB hard disk, but the error continues.  I use this disk for my Time Machine backups.  This always seems to happen when the computer wakes from sleep, but not consistently.  The computer was asleep overnight and backed up as soon as it awakend this morning.  Two hours later I get the improper ejection message.  I have used the same external disk with Snow Leopard (all versions), but never had this error message or problem.  This disk has been in use without any problems since February, 2011. Upgrading to Lion is when this problem began. This is the below message (but from online image from Snow Leopard, but Lion message is essentially the same).

I had a similar issue. Mine was with a Seagate GoFlex drive. The solution was to install GoFlex for Mac 1.1.2 which included a 64-bit driver to disable the drives built in sleep timer:

  • Is there any way to force time machine to keep retrying after disk i/o error?

a little background to my problem:
i've had a hard drive problem previously, and i managed get all the data off of my mac by trying and retrying to access the same files and also from my working time machine backup. after zeroing out and reformatting my drive and doing a clean install of Mavericks i had everything back up running no problems.
recently, my macbook pro would be stuck and slow in recently imported iphoto pics so i figured my hard drive is really failing this time around
i try to get a time machine backup to save what i can, but after a couple of tries time machine would just stop backing up and in console i would see a disk i/o error.
is there any way to force time machine to keep trying to backup through the disk i/o error so i can save what i can before getting a new drive?
edit: a little more info, i know i have a harddrive error from looking at the console, but when i do a verify disk in disk utility it comes up clean and even after doing a disk repair it comes up clean i still see disk i/o errors in the console.

Thee can also be a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.sqlite, extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry.<br />
New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is an update.
