SQR Developer ERROR

Hi, I am using SQR Developer for a simple report which just displays a message. I get this following error...."Failed to produce the HTML output file. Additionally , no .SPF, .LOG, or .ERR files were generated. Most likely causes include: SQR configuration, and the BRB datasource definition used for this request."I would appreciate if someone could please let me know how to correct this.I have set the General Preferences Thanks

Hi,
To access the IR, FR, SQR & Dashboard studios, you need to install the BI + client. There is no URL to access these tools.
When you will install the BI + client software, it will install the studios of IR, FR, PR (SQR), Dashboard builder on your machine.
Web Analysis, workspace, Shared services are access by URL only. As these are the web interfaces for the users.
For EAS, you can access it via the URL or using admin console (Essbase administrator services-client tool). You need to install this client software on your machine.

in the PreForm Trigger I had written the code as apps.set_window_position('MY block name(MAIN_BLOCK)','MY window(MAIN_WINDOW)')You are using a Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) framework procedure to set the window position, not the Forms standard Set_Window_Property built-in.
and My form is Also not having any Minimize,Maximize and Close ButtonsThese could be controlled by the APPS.Set_Window_Position procedure, but I'm not sure. It could simply be that you set (or neglected to set) the default properties of your Form's window the enable these buttons. More than likely, the APPS procedure is setting them. It's been too long since I worked with the EBS to say for certain. You really should ask your question in the General EBS Discussion forum.

Oracle SQL DEVELOPER ERROR

Can anyone here please help me with oracle sql developer error
My problem is that i have installed oracle sql developer as a root and now when i execute the following command

From what you have shown us, we can't tell that you have installed java. What do you get from the following command?

So you are intentionally creating duplicate posts. You know as well as I do the difficulty in following threads when people post in several different places the same question, and not knowing which one to follow and respond to. In your case you posted the same question in 3 places.

Forms Developer Error

Hi,
I am designing a form which is used within Oracle E-Business Suite.
When clicking on the standards find icon of the toolbar (the torch) , I receive an error stating:
DEVELOPER_ERROR: Invalid Window XXXE_FIND passed to set_window_position
I don't have a window called XXXE_FIND, only a datablock.
Where is it reading this value from to correct this issue.

This sounds like a custom application error from a custom procedure called SET_WINDOW_POSITION, it doesn't seem to be a forms generic error.
You should refer to the application's help.

Developer Error when Installing Labview 8.5

Hi there,
When I was installing Labview 8.5 directly from the CD, I had error message 1311. Following the recommendation posted on the discussion forum, I copied the CD to the C drive and installed Labview 8.5 successfully. However, when I tried to follow the same procedure when installing the device driver CDs,i.e. by first installing the CD to a folder in the C drive and installing it by launching setup.exe, I had the following error:
"Developer error. The following errors were found in your ini file: 1 Specified file not found. [MSIEngine] WinNTPath = SupportFiles\WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe Correct the ini file and try again"
When I checked the setup.ini file, under the [MSIEngine] entery, I found the following text:
"[MsiEngine]
WinNTPath=bin\WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe
RequiredVersion=3.0.0.0
CommandLine=/passive /norestart"
How can I correct the ini file? Should I change the WinNTPath to the one generated by the error message? Will this solve the problem? Your help would be very much appreciated.

SQR issue - (SQR 5721) Error with ioctl()

If anyone can help on this I would be very grateful. Here is the issue: When running SQR's on the command line I am receiving the followingerror after I type 'sysadm'. Normally it should allow me to typethe password (without displaying it). I can run the sqr on our Unixbox if I include the username/password in the command line. According tothe SQR documentation this error (5721) it says "This is anerror that should never occur during normal operations. Record thesteps leading up to the error and contact your systemadministrator" -- sqr first.sqr Enter Username: sysadm Enter Password: (SQR 5721) Error with 'ioctl()'. (12): Not enough space -- After I type "sysadm" and hit Enter I receive : Enter Password: (SQR 5721) Error with 'ioctl()'. (12): Not enough space -- We believe the problem is related to the Unix box in that the sqris trying to write the Username to a temporary location either inMemory or a Physical Location on the Box.

Developer error when installing Labview 2010

Dear Administrator,
I uninstalled my old version of Labview 7.1 with Windows "Programs and Features", and try to install Labview 2010. However, error occurs.
It says:

Hello,
The first step I reccomend you try is to re-download the LabVIEW installer, and try to run it again. Also, make sure you have Administrator access on your computer.

Can't update Acrobat 8 Pro for Mac--unidentified developer error

I have 8.1.5. Running Mac OS 10.9.1. Downloaded the update to 8.3.1 and when I try to open the installer, I get the "unidentified developer" error message.
Do I have to go through the 20 or so serial updates or is there another solution?

As per the tech specs of Acrobat 8.0 it compatibility was only tested with Mac Os 10.4.3.
This version of Acrobat was even tested with 10.6 or above but there are lots user still using on various version of Mac Osx.
I would suggest to upgrade Acrobat to latest version.

Oracle SQL Developer error - "The file-based source procedure Name is not present in the database."

I recently started working on the Oracle SQL developer. I have 'select' privileges on the QA schema and when tried to execute proc in QA. It is giving the error as 'The file-based source <procedure Name> is not present in the database. Was it compiled?'
instead 'you do not have sufficient privileges to execute this procedure'. Did research on internet but with no luck.What configuration changes needed to be done to make it work.Guide me.

Sounds like you do not have the correct privileges. What should have been granted to you by the QA user, or some other user with appropriate privileges, is...
grant EXECUTE on "QA"."<PROCEDURE_OF_INTEREST>" to "<YOUR_USERID>" ;
Note that a grant of execute on a procedure has nothing to do with grants of select on some or all of QA's tables and views.
So, as Vadim suggests, from your connection node in SQL Developer's Connections view, if you expand the Other Users node, then expand QA and look in the Procedures node, do you see the procedure of interest? If not, you cannot expect to be able to execute it from your userid's connection. And even if you do see it, you may have some other privilege that permits viewing but not executing, like...
The role SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege SELECT ANY DICTIONARY
And even if you do not see it there, then having certain other privileges granted to you could permit executing it in general, like...
The role EXECUTE_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
Also, note that the 3.0 release is a bit dated nowadays. Upgrading to 4.0.3 production or even the 4.1 EA2 (early adopter) release will, in general, give you a better experience.

Business connector developer-Error message 'No IDOC found in input'

Hi,
Please note that this query is related to business connector developer not to XI.
I have created a flow service based on an IDOC. When I tried to test the service from the business connector developer it gives me an error 'No idoc found in input'. I have done the setting based on the business connector configuration guide. The idoc also send to the port successfully.
Can anyone guide me how to trigger the test from business connector developer for an idoc.

Hi,
Probably you would have created the routing today, with valid from todays date. But the order you are creating may be with start date in past and system is not able to find and valid routing for the day.
I would suggest you to remove both the Basic "Start" and "End" and change the scheduling type to "Current date Scheduling", now enter. If system still not finding the routing, use the function "Read PP Master data".

I have an older version of SQL developer and it suddenly won't run with the following error
'Can't Start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program.........'
And it is indeed missing. So, rather than download what might be a virus from the internet (new version of MSVCR71.dll ), I tried to do a new install of SQL developer from:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html
I put it on my D drive, unzipped and tried to launch.
It asked where I had java.exe (full path name). I found it at C:\Windows\System32\java.exe
Now I encounter: Cannot find J2SE SDK installed at path C:\Windows\System32\java.exe

Hi,
The 32-bit and 64-bit Java 7 JDKs include only msvcr100.dll, 32-bit Java 6 includes only msvcr71.dll, and 64-bit Java 6 has neither!
Also, keep in mind that Java 7 is not certified yet for ANY* version of SQL Developer. The standard recommendation is to install the latest update in the Java 6 JDK code line (currently 1.6.0_45) and use that. Make sure to get the 32-bit version!

I am new to oracle, and i have installed Oracle database 12c enterprise edition, and oracle jdeveloper 12c for adf web application development,
I created a database and a new connection in it using sql developer, however while trying to create new user with the name db1 by right clicking on other users. by following the instructions in oracle documentation site. i get the error that new user db1 doesnt exist, and gives error:- ORA-01981. i even tried by changing the username as i thought may be it doesnt support alphanumeric name, but still i get the same error.
So please tell me how to create a new user. is there any way to get out of this ora:-01918, as i googled and it says this is a bug.
My os is win 7 x64(amd processor ).

A new user (called a schema in Oracle) is created using the CREATE USER SQL command. You need to be signed in as the SYS schema/user or as a schema that has been granted the rights to create schemas.
12c database comes in two basic flavours. Container database (containing pluggable databases). Standard database. If connected to a container database, you cannot create standard user schemas - you need to be connected to a pluggable database.
Also, your question has no relevance to either the SQL or PL/SQL languages - the subject matter of this forum. Please repost your question to a more appropriate forum dealing with SQL-Developer issues.

SQL Developer Error

I keep getting the following error message when trying to execute a custom package:
Error starting at line 1 in command:

I called the package and it worked fine. I then added code but forgot to insert the ; at the end of the statement and it did not compile giving me an error message. I fixed the error and recompiled the package. When I tried to call the function again I got the above mentione error. I removed the changes I made so that the function would be the way it was when it did not give me an error but it still gives me the error even though it is the same code that worked an hour ago. The package compiles without any errors but I keep getting the error above.
Does anyone have any advice??
I have tried SQL Developer 1.5.1 & 1.2.1
I have tried to drop the package and re-create it but it does not solve my problem.

It looks like the PACKAGE compiles fine, but the PACKAGE BODY has an error.
Klick on the "+" left of the package to expand it.
Right-click on the package body and compile it.
You should see error messages.
