Square Dropzones and working with landscape format photos

Question

Hi everyone,
Any suggestions on how to place a lanscape format picture into a square dropzone (in particular the book cover in the roadtrip theme). If I place the photo in the dropzone as-is the right side is significantlt cutoff, and I'm not having any luck finding a way to "pad" the picture somehow with black border on the top and bottom to make it square.
I'm going to try creating a separate movie with just this picturea and playing around with the Kens burn effect so I can least see the whole picture eventually.

As mentioned dragging the image around in its frame is your only option in iDVD.
If you have an image editor, it would be a snap to add black borders to the image.
A quick and effective workaround is to open the image in Preview, zoom out a little and expand the window so you get plenty of room above and below allowing for a square crop. Then set Preview's window background colour to black in the preferences and take a squarish screen snapshot using AppleShift4 - you need to eyeball a little.
You can then use the screen snapshot instead of the original pic to place in the drop zone.
