Square font at home-screen

Dear Support forums, I've install Desktop Manager ver 7.1 at my laptop with Win7 Enterprise 64-bit, all process went smooth. But when I start the Desktop Manager, all font/ text shown as "SQUARE", can not interpreted at all. Ow, BTW, this was happen even before my first synch with new TORCH 9860. Have try to un-install, install again for 4 times at difference league but nothing change. Please help, getting frustation with this... I need to access my Outlook's Calender via my Torch-9860, very soon... Thx in advance...

Could you please private message me a screen shot of what you are seeing in the BlackBerry® Desktop Software? Is the the BlackBerry® Desktop Software installed in a Windows® user account with administrative privileges? Could you please try uninstalling the BlackBerry® Desktop Software once more and disabling your anti-virus and startup items before reinstalling it in a user account with administrative privileges?

Font too small on Home Screen

I just upgraded to the 8900 Curve from the 8320. The 8320 came with about four Theme options. One I like to use is called "Today". The new BB 8900 only came with two Themes. I had to download the "Today" Theme for $7.99 (give me a break). Now that I have the new theme the font on my home screen is so small that I can barely read it without reading glasses.
I like the "Today" theme because it allows me to see e-mails at a glance (2 lines) without having to open them up. Since the font is so small it defeats the benefit of the feature for me.
I have read the manual and searched online but can't seem to get the answer. Can anyone help me understand how can I keep this theme and increse the font on the home page??

If you go into Options | Screen/Keyboard can you change the font to something else? Actually I'm not sure if that will change the home screen's font. Did other theme's have larger font's that you liked?

Font size on home screen (Dimension Today theme)

Theme dictates default the font types to be displayed in different scenario. If you change the font size from Options --> Screen/Keybord it will affect everything but on home screen it will remain as it is and it can't be changed.

Broken Fonts and Skype Home screen layout, and lay...

I see another new 7.8 version has been released, but still some old bugs remain:
Home Screen fonts are broken, at least in Polish verison you seem to use some font that does not contain our accented letters
Home Screen status boxes 2 columns and 1 column layout is fixed to pre-defined 2 widths only. Come on, you can make it adapt to any size? Leaving some white areas, or making whole screen scrollable is really ugly, and even for regular website this would not be acceptable.
The same happends on some other screens, like user profile.

Custom Home Screen Icons

I was wondering how difficult it was to create Home Screen icons for sites (like Apple and Yahoo! have).
I am a web designer and graphic artist but I'm not an "app developer." It seems it would just be a matter of creating a square graphic and somehow coding it to download when the "Add to Home Screen" is clicked.
Is this out of my league? Has anyone here made any?

In case anyone else is interested, you just need to create a 57x57 pixel graphic file, saved in PNG format, and named apple-touch-icon.png to place in the root directory of your web site. The iPhone will round the corners and add the glossy-looking overlay to the icon.
If you don't have access to the site's root directory, you can add a link to the file in the head of your HTML page... for example: *<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="http://www.mysite.com/apple-touch-icon.png" />*
Keep in mind, they look best when kept simple.

Nokia E72 - smaller home screen text

i have several calendar items on the home screen and the text, to me, is too large. is there a setting to change the font size on the home screen?

My text size on home screen suddenly increased.....so I went to menu-control panel-settings-general-personalisation-display and then font size.
I pressed help key and it told me to choose to change back to 'default' setting. It asked me if I wanted to reboot...I said yes.
The phone switched off then on again and the font size on home screen had returned to normal (ie. small).

Home screen icons - no text

Hoping someone can help, I have a user who has lost the text portion of the icons on the home screen. The user is less than computer savvy so requies the prompts for the functions. I have tried restting the themes and checking the fonts - any other suggestions?

And you already reset the device taking out the battery? if your answer is yes and you can't fix the problem you need to upgrade the software on the device.

E63-1, 410.21.010 Nokia programmers, please enhance the home screen (I use Active home screen) by providing current date below the current time. Currently, the space below the current time is blank. It would be useful if I can see: --------------- Current Time. Current Day. Current Date-Month. Current Year. --------------- This should be in relatively big font. It would be useful if we use profiles other than the General profile. Thank you.

Some power savers show the date as well as the time.

I hate that with ios 7 my bookmarks show up on the safari home screen. Is there a way to remove the icons from the screen without deleting my bookmarks completely?

I have recently updated to ios 7. On my safari home screen there are my favorites listed. I absolutely hate it. Is there anyway to remove the bookmarks from the safari home screen without deleting my bookmarks completely? I am resisting the urge to throw the whole **** thing away and buy another tablet. Please help me! I usually love the updates but I feel ios 7 is more than I can bare. If I wanted Window's crappy format I would have bought a Microsoft product!

On your safaris home screen is a square icons consisting of your favorites and the IOS 7 favorites ( Disney,Apple,Yahoo,Etc) and I knew I wouldn't use these so I wanted to learn how to delete them. So, after messing around a few times with them, I realized how easy it was to delete them. All you have to do is go to the top right corner of your homepage and click on the book icon (found left of the cloud icon). Once you click on it, your history for safaris searches should come up. On the top left corner above your history should be " <Bookmarks " written in blue. Click on that and a list consisting of these should come up ( top to bottom of list ) FAVORITES / HISTORY / GOOGLE /BING / IPAD USER GUIDE. Click on FAVORITES. Your list on the favorites on your home screen should come up. Simply slide over the item to your left (EX.. Yahoo) and a DELETE button in red should come up. Click delete and your done, the icons should disappear on your home screen. Only bad is that you have to delete them from your favorites too.

1. On the home screen of the Nokia E72, there are these dotted lines seperating the displayed items. Is there anyway to remove them?
2. The font of the items on the home screen, is there a way to change it? Resize it?

My phone came with the '3 mobile' theme which is quite good in itself. I don't appear to have the nokia one and have never seen any dots or lines unless trying out other themes.

Icons on top of home screen

Can anyone tell me where I can find the meaning of all the icons on top of my home screen? The newest one that showed up is a bright red square with a white asterisk inside it. Some of them worry me. Thanks

I have Accu-weather, and their severe weather symbol is a red triangle with a yellow ! in the center. I believe that Weather Bug also uses the same type of symbol. It just may be from a weather alert. If you live in Florida and along the east coast, you just had a tropical storm visit you.

Blue spot on HOME SCREEN

I just updated my software yesterday for my Samsung G4 and now there is a blue square on the top left corner of my home screen. Does anyone know why this happened and how can it be fixed. I have had my phone for about 7 weeks and this is unacceptable for something like this to happen, especially since it is relatively new. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the world of software updates. I will wait to do the update on my S4 until I absolutely have to apply it. After my last Samsung phone (Stratsophere) updated, the phone was never right again. In reviewing the changes in this S4 update, none is what I would consider major or all that worthwhile. The one I was hoping for isn't there. That's the ability to transfer apps to the SD card. Have you called VZW Customer Support about this?

Did you check the Zoom setting?
Have you tried a reset (reboot)? Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears.
If it isn't Zoom and a reboot doesn't help try Settings/General/Reset - Reset all settings

When you upgrade to iOS6 on the iphone 4S how can you get your applications back on your home screen and not in your purchased folder in the app store?

When I go into my app store and click under updates it says purchased and I can click that and all my apps show up but I can't get them back onto my home screen of my phone where I would like them. Someone help!
