Squelching Superfluous History Instances?

Love 4.0 and the concept behind the coverflow history - Is there a way to prevent a select sites from being recorded into my history while allowing any others I happen to visit? Or to limit multiple instances of the same site?
Explaination: there is a certain game site that I frequent (www.triplejack.com) that fills my history with hundreds of instances of itself each time I visit it. It is a 'for fun' poker site and one must enter and leave 'rooms' - I would understand a history instance for each of the navigations I initiate... but there are literally hundreds of instances of triplejack in my history after each session (far far more than the number of times I navigated to a different page on the site). The site incorporates changing 'sidebar' ads into the interface and I suspect that each time a different ad loads, it triggers a new instance in my history.
This renders my 'coverflow history' (a feature I would like to utilize) totally worthless since 90% of the items in it are from the same site.
I suppose since this doesn't happen at any other site I visit, it is an issue with that site - so my question boils down to one of whether or not there is a way to 'refine' one's recorded history in Safari 4.0? Or is browser history an 'all or nothing' thing?

hi amit,
yes it is unchecked.   and i am able to see the instances.
the issue is,
lets say i have scheduled report A and i see its history instance . its perfect.
and when i schedule report B and i see the history instance of report A again. this is where the issue.
adn for report c the instance is again report A.

  • GST calculation and Invoice History Instance

    Hi experts,
I really need your help here.
    My decimal places settings:
    amount 2
    price 5
    rates 6
    quantities 0
    percent 2
    units 2
    My 1st question:
How SAP calculates the GST 7%?
I worked out this formula by seeing from SAP results:
    Exc. Rate 1.408000
    Line Total USD 714.80
    Tax USD 50.04
    Total USD 764.84
My customer A/P Invoice (from supplier) tax is 70.46 but in SAP it is 70.45 meaning SAP is actually taking 714.801.4080007/100 = 70.45 rather than USD50.40*1.408000
I tested with more than 15 invoices and the results are the same (meaning either one cent extra or less). My customer wanted to kill me so badly why SAP is behaving like this. Check this invoice:
    Exc. Rate 1.373000
    Line Total USD 225.00
    Tax USD 15.75
    Total USD 240.75
If you used the same formula as mentioned above, we should get 21.62475 but when I looked into the entry created by SAP it shows 21.63. Why? Is it because of round up? 5 rounded up and 7 became 8, 8 rounded up and 4 became 5, 5 rounded up and 4 became 5 and finally 5 rounded up and 2 became 3? What should I do for my customer? Post journal entries?
    My 2nd question:
My invoice figures are as following:
    subtotal SGD 116.00
    gst SGD 8.12
    total SGD 124.12
When I looked into the transaction (journal entry) it is showing the customer account is debited with SGD117.29, GST account is SGD 7.67 credited and Sales account SGD 109.62? Why? I checked the change log for that particular invoice. Double click then i brought out the invoice history instance #1, it is showing the same figures as in journal entry? Why?
    Please advice.
    Best regards,
    Lim

    Hi Lim,
For AP invoices, you can force in the tax amount. Update your Form Settings so that the "Tax Amount" field is displayed. Another option would be to look into the rounding or under/overpayment features. Where you are using foreign currency, you may want to have rounding active. Do some test transactions is your test db (copy of the live/production database) to see if this is the right solution for you.
Amount = extended price/amount (line total). If your price is at 5 decimals, the line total (extended price/amt) will be rounded to 2 decimals, which explains what you see (21.63).
For 1st question:  tax is calculated on net amount then it applies the exchange to the tax amount so 70.45 is correct.
For 2nd question, not sure what it is you are looking for... Are you sure you have the currencies and amounts in your question correct? Do you display both LC & FC in the J/E? Only way I can think of amounts changing is if you are looking at amount for one transaction (ex. Delivery) vs another (ex. AR invoice) and the rate may be different in the two transactions.
If you need more assistance, please indicate your currency settings as well as SBO version/localization.

  • Document history Crystal layout

    Dear All,
I am working on sales quotation layout. Currently, our client (on SAP 9 CA localization) wants to print the history instance (open the document >> change log >> choose one of the old version >> print)
I am testing the system default layout (Crystal report layout)
When I open the old version of the document and click print, it will NOT show me anything unless it is the latest version of the document.
When I print it by a PLD layout, it can print me the document with the old information.
    Enclosed is the screen shot.
What I am trying to do here is, to let the user be able to print the document before and after changes.
Later I will add the history instance number to the document so that they know which version they are printing.
However, none of the Crystal report works even the system default Crystal report layout.
    Can anybody please advice? Thanks!
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Hi Nagarajan,
Thanks for the answer. What I need is, open one of the history e.g. history instance #1, then print it with the instance number. So in this case, query doesn't work for me.
The note tells me, don't use Crystal report layout if I want to print the history instance.
Then, my question is, how to show instance number to the PLD layout? I can't link ADOC.loginstanc to the PLD.
There is another option is, create a new layout by using ADOC and ADO1 tables. But, I can't pass log instance# to the layout. It asks me the log instance parameter when I print preview the layout.

  • Updating Standard Cost

    Hi Everyone,
Is there anyway or any reason that the standard cost defined in the Item Master would be updated by the system?  I have a customer who claims that the standard cost for one of their items has somehow been changed and they believe the system somehow made this change.  The item is set up only as a Purchased Item.
I have gone into the Change Log for the item and printed off the Differences window for him because it appears that he changed it (he had changed the valuation method from Standard to FIFO and back to Standard).  He claims that he did not enter the standard cost, however.  I have tried to duplicate the changes he made in a Test Database to see if there is anyway to get the system to generate a change in the standard cost, and I haven't been able to do so.
It would be nice if I could send him copies of the Item Master Data - History Instances screens, but unfortunately the history screens show all of the valuation methods as Moving Average even though the Differences screen shows the valuation method going from Moving Average to Standard to FIFO and back to Standard.
Can anybody please either confirm my thoughts on the standard cost or explain how the system is changing the item cost and what method it is using to calculate the new cost?
I appreciate your help in advance.
    Thank you,
    Amanda

    Hi Amanda,
    A few points:
    - The system does not change this price on it's own.
    - Even if this was a Moving Average item it would not be updated by the system as this is not an Inventory item. FIFO and Moving Average are calculated prices, since no calculation is done it is an definition without meaning.
    - For non inventory Items (like the item you are describing) no item cost is ever calculated.
    - The price (when we are talking about a non inventory item) can be changed at any time.
    - The only method that makes sense for a non stock item is standard.
    - The standard price for these items to my knowledge would only be used as a cost price when this item is component in production bill of material and as a base price in gross profit calculation (this only works in 2007). (there might be other usage for it, but I wouldn't know of them)
    I hope this information helps.

  • Database size history on Java instance

    Hello,
Does anybody know how to get the database size history (db02) on a Java only instance.
The system is portal 7 running on SQL 2005 and windows 2003.
    Thanks

    Kruger,
Your best bet to get this type of information is going to be through the SQL Server Enterprise Manager.  J2EE Engines typically do not grow as they rarely hold information but are pass-through systems.  For this reason, there is little detail in the Portal for this specific type of information.
If you setup the Solution Manager as a CEN Monitor for the Java Instance you can provide some thresholds for the MTE's on Db but again, won't hold informaiton on size history.
Hope that helps - if this answers your question, please set this thread to answered.

  • Completed Process instance - History of Context data

    Hi,
I've a completed process instance. I'm able to look for that process instance at "Manage Process" -> ....... -> "Advance Search".
My question is, how can i view the history of the context data for each of the tasks of the completed process instance. When i select the the process instance and click "Show Tasks" button, i couldnt see any task instance ID for that completed process instance.
    Any idea?
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.
    - julius

    Hi David,
    Thanks for the reply.
I'm interested at the context data/input/output parameters of all the tasks in a completed process instance, for debugging/administration purpose.
completed tasks cannot be returned to the NWA even though they are partly available in the system.
Can you explain more about "partly available in the system" ?
    Thanks,

  • Prompts parameters disappear when reschedule a instance from history

    Dear All,
In BI 4.1 launch pad, when I reshceudle a report using an instance from the history, the prompt values given for that instances disappear for all prompts and need to enter all the parameters again. This happens only when I click the prompt icon on the schedule window, otherwise the parameters are retained and the report can be scheduled with the previous given parameters.
As a result, I have to run either with previuos selected parameters or need to input all prompts again, no way to change only certain prompts and keep the previous parameters for the rest.
In XI 3.1, the prompt parameters will be retained of that instance during reschedule and we can change certain prompts parameters as per our requirement and rest we can leave with the previuos parameters.
Is this the funcitonality or bug or any settings available to retain the prompt inputs.
    Regards,
    Ravi

"This happens only when I click the prompt icon on the schedule window, otherwise the parameters are retained and the report can be scheduled with the previous given parameters"
I test a WebI report with prompt on a BI4.1 SP05, and the Prompt's values are retained when reschedule and modify the Prompt. Can you check your BI4.x production version and let us know if this problem is replicated on your BI4.1 SP05 or above? Regards, Jin-Chong

  • Clear Instance History

    Hi Experts,
I have business objects Edge series 3.0 server on which i want to clear the instance history automatically(Means those instances scheduled and executed successfully should deleted automatically as per set days). So is there any procedure to do that.
    pls. help.
    Jagdish

    Hello Jag,
I recommend to post this query to the [BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration|BI Platform; forum.
This forum is dedicated to topics related to administration and configuration of BusinessObjects Enterprise, BusinessObjects Edge, and Crystal Reports Server.
It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
Also, all BOE Administration queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

  • B2B. Exclude superfluous transactions from history

    Hi,
    My transactions:
    Transaction.
We need to show only some of customer transactions.
I try to disable their by authorization object CRM_ORD_PR. Ok. it's work.
I get message: Authorization missing to show this document.
But I see extra transactions in the history!
    so, my question is:
How to exclude superfluous transactions from history ?
    Denis

The RFC CRM_ISA_GEN_DOCUMENT_SEL handles all the search requests. Depending upon the search object, this RFC dispatches the requests to the right BAdI implementation.
For Orders you can customize the results in CL_IM_CRM_ISA_GDS_ORDER

  • "clear recent history" is not lit up, can't activate; I have an extra blank line under all these editing icons which I do not want?????Yahoo says it is your issue; also when I copy for instance a screenshot (see below)

1)trying to clear cache: when I click tools, options, "clear recent history" is not lit, I do not know what else to say. I tried to copy the screenshot sample, but it wouldn't let me.<br />
    2) On a page: the items appear in this order -<br />
    a)Header line:Firefox symbol Ask question or whatever I am seeking<br />
b)2nd line: the words: File, Edit, View, etc. <br />
    c) 3rd line:arrows then 7 icons for editing which appeared one day, a small window that tells where I am with a star and then a window with
    google's symbol and a small window with a magnifying glass.<br />
    d)4th line: a wide empty line<br />
e)5th line: a small window telling what I am doing ie Ask a Question etc. then a plus sign in a gray box and then nothing follows. <br />
Yahoo says that the blank line and the icons are Firefox's issue. <br />
I never chose to have icons for editing instead of the words. I do not know how they got there. I had some problems for a number of weeks (1/4/11 to 2/5/11 because all of the 2nd line had disappeared and I had no bookmarks. Yahoo was completely ineffective and I got disparate yesterday and started click all over the screen and suddenly the words of that line appeared again as well as all my bookmarks were back.?????odd. So all this maybe related. I just would rather not have that blank line as it lowers my screen.
    3) cont'd: to my desktop I cannot retrieve from my desktop. I click to open it and the page opens, but it keeps opening and opening and on and on and won't stop, so I have to close the tab and sign in again. This has happened about ten times recently. I guess that is it.

  • Report instance history not refreshing

Here is my issue.  I view the history of a published Crystal report in Central Managment Console.  I then try to view the history of another report and it displays the history of the previous report I viewed.  The only way I can view another reports history is to log out of CMC, clear the browser cache and close the browser.  I then log back and I can view ther history of a different report.  I have played with the browser settings to not avail.  Any ideas?

    Hi,
It sound like you are using WebSphere as your application server, if yes  then follow the SAP Note 1250113.

  • IChat - Synching Chatting History from multiple devices on same account

I currently have the iChat server up and running on a MacMini running OS X 10.6.4. I see in the iChat client on my MacBook Pro where it will load past messages when I open a chat with a buddy. I am also running a jabber client on my iPhone (IM+ is the iPhone app). What I am curious about is if there is a way to load chat history for the account, not just from the device.
For instance, when using Skype the following will occur. I can chat on my iPhone, and then when I login to my Laptop, the history of chats sent from my iPhone will be added to the history on my Laptop. I am trying to prevent having to look back at every device I use my jabber account on to find that one IM message that has the information I need.
Is there a way to sync the account on all clients (or at least just my MacBook Pro) so I can view chats there sent from all my devices and not just from my Laptop?

    Tim,
I have turned on the logging feature inside of the iChat server, and I have seen all IMs being sent are saved.
So do you think this is more of a client side problem of not being able to sync from the Message Archive on the OS X Snow Leopard 10.64 iChat server? Meaning that if the IMs are being saved, then all that really needs to be done is to create a client that will access the server log and do a compare of its local saved history with the server saved history and then takes any missing IMs and adds to its local history log?
Am I far off base on this, or does this seem feasable?

The system cannot find the file specified
I have tried from so many forms. This is so frustrating. Thank for everyone/anyone who wants to help. So this is what happened: I had to uninstall my previous sqlserver 2012(which worked great) for some reason, and I uninstalled everything from that download.
Then I installed the trial edition of sql server 2012 (64 Bit) and It wouldn't connect to the database. (Error mentioned above.) My local DB is COWBOYS. (COWBOYS is also my computer name.) After this, I have tried downloading sqlexpress and sqlserver 64bit
many times and cannot connect to my local DB.
How do I connect to my Local DB?
Also, I think this might help: (When I run sqlserve.exe, which I was able to find in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\LocalDB\Binn, I get an error: Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with(Error getting
instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
I would happily re install it, if it wasn't my 20th time.
I don't have any remote connections, I don't use username/password, only window authentication. I work mostly on visual studio, but without able to store /retrieve data, I don't know how to survive.
May be the solution is very simple, but I am too frustrated.
Some of the things I have tried:
From a command prompt, enter one of the following commands:
net start "SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER)" OR
net start "SQL Server Agent(instancename)"(for instance)
on my sql configuration, I cannot start anything because there is nothing there to start. I can post more details, if that would help. Also, some more details about the error:

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here.  First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance.  Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error.  If you get an error, post the error message your hitting.  If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect.  If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog.  Ex:  "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name.  However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format.  Ex:  COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install.  Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.
