  • In Solution Manager, where can I find the SRM 7.0 Configuration Guide?

Please give me directions on how to download the SRM 7.0 configuration guide within Solution Manager, these documents are not available on the service marketplace.  We have sol manager 4 I believe, it's not sol manger 7.0.
Also, if you could send me the guide at matt.joseph at thq.com that would save me from losing more time trying to figure out Solution Manger
    Thanks for your help.
    Matt

    Matt,
    1. Log on to your SAP Solution Manager system.
    2. To be able to access configuration documentation, create a project as follows:
    1. Create your project with transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN for project administration.
    2. Connect your SAP system to SAP Solution Manager with transaction SMSY for the SAP Solution Manager system landscape.
    3. Create a project structure and add the required scenarios for your SAP system to your project structure with the Business Blueprint transaction SOLAR01,
    4. Add your SAP system configuration structures to your project structure with the configuration transaction SOLAR02.
    3. Go to the project structure folder <project name> using transaction SOLAR02.
    4. Access configuration documentation for SAP NetWeaver usage types at Configuration StructureSAP NetWeaver 7.0.
    5. Access configuration documentation for all areas of SAP SRM at Configuration StructureSAP SRM <release>.

  • Problem to generate SRM 7.0 configuration guide into solman

    Hi gurus,
We have a problem to generate SRM 7.0 configuration guide related to business scenario plan driven procurement with supplier collaboration into transaction SOLAR02.
We are using Solution Manager 7.0 and when we execute the configuration guide download, the system starts dowloading some files and after that ask for us execute a ms word macro to generate the guide, but the ms word file generated is empty.
Can anybody help me with this issue or tell me if there is another way to get the configuration guide we need?. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Horacio

    Hello Horacio,
You may want to check yuor MS Word Client Trust Center settings.
Typically you should have "Enable all Macros" and "Trust Access to the VBA Project Object Model" Checked.
I thought of this when you mentioned you were requested to run an MS Word Macro and it generated a blank file.
Without these settings enabled, could be why a blank report is generated. So you may want to check these settings and, if they are not set, then it would be worthwhile to enable them and try to generate with the MS Word Macro again.

    Hi,
You can also configure portal connection manually. Please check the Configuration Guide in SAP Solution Manager or offline downloaded configuration guide in http://service.sap.com/srm-inst  SAP SRM Server 7.0 -> Configuration Guide for SAP SRM 7.0 -> Business Package for SAP SRM 7.0.
You can also access SRM via NWBC html in current SRM 7.0 SP06 without Portal. It is called Portal-Independent Navigation Frame.

  • VCenter SRM Installation and Configuration

    Hello,
We have installed and configured SRM 5.5.1 in Main site and DR site. In DR site we have two hosts and no shared storage.
Each have one vsphere replication appliance deployed and both the sites connected and we have also replicated two virtual machines successfully.
Next step we have configured protection group and recovery plan as well.
But when we test a recovery plan it gives a error "unable to access virtual machine configuration file"
Is it necessary we must have a shared storage? Can't we use local datastore on each host to power on the machines.
    Regards
    Karthik

    Hi,
No, shared storage is not required:
    Array/ vendor types
Requires same storage replication solution at both sites (eg. EMC RecoverPoint, NetApp vFiler, IBM SVC, etc)
Can support any storage solution at either end including local storage as long as it is covered by the vSphere HCL

  • Problem syncronizing R/3 and SRM Add-on configuration

We have got ECC6 with SRM 5.5 as add-on.
Running the synchronization cockpit I can create message in the SMQ2 inbound queue. The message are not processed due to a missing SLD (system landscape Directory). Should I create such an SLD to allow the processing of the inbound packets?
Do I need J2EE installed to create this SLD?
Maybe exist a workaround to crete these messages without installing the J2EE and activating the SLD ?
    Thank you
    Aldo.

    Thanks for the feedback.
PLease, coul dyou indicate me some Oss documentation to certify the scenario 1) ?
Please could you tell me where is , if you know it, the  Configuration Guide for SRM 5.5 Add-on ?
We are not able to find it and we do not have the Solution manager.

  • SRM: Using Z-Configuration in Standardcomponent

    Hello,
in SRM we want to change the Business Partner WebDynpro. There exists a standard Configuration /SAPSRM/WDCC_FPM_OIF_BUPA_SUPPL which I copied and changed it to our needs. But how do I apply this? When I open a Business Partner it still uses the Standardconfiguration. I don't find anything to change this.
    Can you help me?
    Kind regards,
    Bastian Stritt

    Hi,
Instead of copying the configuration, you chould create an enhancement to the configuration. The changes you do to the enhancement of the configuration will override the values in standard configuration.

  • SRM 7.0 configuration for EP

    Hi,
We have EP 7.0 installed at our place.
We recently installed SRM 7.01 at our place. We have the SSO configured between EP and SRM.
Howvere now we want to run the SRM 7.0 transactions in EP.What is the process for doing that?
Also even if we need to customize the iviews for SRM transactions in EP,iniitially is it mandatory to install the standard content provided by SAP and then customize the EP roles/views as per our needs?
Is there any config guide available to map SRM roles and EP roles ?
    Please advise.

    Hi,
You will have to install the Business Package for SRM. After you have installed the package, the standard content for SRM would be available (iviews, pages, roles etc). The standard roles delivered would be Requisitioner, Approver, Operational Purchaser etc. There would be corresponding roles in the backend, As such, there is no config available to map the backend roles to the SRM roles in portal. You will have to do this manually i.e. assign role in backend and then in Portal.
SRM 7.0 and above is available in Web Dynpro ABAP. So, any customizations, for example, in Shopping cart, will have to be done in Web Dynpro ABAP.
For having SRM Transactions, you can create transaction iview. However, after you have deployed the Business Package, most of the business functionality would be available through standard content.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Nikhil

  • SRM 7.0 - Configure Field Control for Shopping Cart Item Overview

    Hi,
I am able to hide fields in the shopping item details using the "Configure Control for Fields on Item Level" node in the IMG.
However, this same configuration does not seem to work for fields that are in the item overview of the shopping cart.  Any advice on how/why this seems to work differently?
I do want to hide fields via config, not as an end-user.
    Thanks!

  • SRM: Using Z Configuration in Standard component

    Hello Experts,
I want to hide a colunm of a table hence i created my own z configuraiton . However during the applicaiton is called, the newly created "Z" configuraiton is never called. Instead stil the standard configuration is called.
How can make my z configuraiton being called instead of the Standard?
    Please help.
    Thanking you,
    best Regards,
    Tamanna.

    Hello Tamanna,
the reason probably is, that within the application configuration still the standard FPM component configuration is inside. When you create your own application configuration and enter there your own component configuration, it should work.
Have you ever thought about using the administrator mode for your change? When you are doing this you will create a customizing for SAP delivered component configuration. Within the administrator mode you remove the column from the table and this change will have an effect on the application runtime for all users in this client.
So you don't have to copy SAP's component configuration and the benefit of changes in admin mode is that e.g. new deliveries/updates from SAP to this standard component configuration are not lost.
For a further look of enhancing/adapting SAP component configurations please have a look at this [document|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/c0a2b7c2-1598-2e10-45bc-c556df3b9576 ].

  • More than 2 dropdown boxes in the UI Configuration/SRM-MDM Catalogue Search

Hi! We know that there is a limit to the number of drop-down boxes we can define in SRM-MDM UI configuration. However, we really have a need for that as there is no variant configuration in SRM-MDM. In this case, we want to allow user to select the colour (dropdown box) followed by size (dropdown box) in order to get the right items (e.g. shirt) to appear. Because we also need to have another field to be drop-down, we cannot do so due to the limitation.
Has anyone found a solution around this?
    Cheers!

  • Configuring SRM SUS Application

    Hi Experts,
I need your help and suggestions. please help me on that.
    Current Deployment & Problem:
We have deployed “Supplier Collaboration 4.0” Business packages in portal. We could see there are Webdynpro Java and BSP iviews.
To load the BSP iviews in the portal, it requires SRM 7.01 system need to be given as “System Alias” in the portal iview configuration. Currently we don’t have SRM 7.01 system in our Landscape. So iviews are not visible in the portal.
Expected Version of Business package only for ECC:
Is it possible to get similar kind of Busineess package only for ECC with functionality of view purchase order, confirm purchase order, Attach Invoice against confirmed PO etc. Also is it possible to get webdynpro Java iviews or webdynpro ABAP iviews or UI5 iviews with Business package component.
Please clarify my doubt and provide any suggestions to proceed without SRM or SUS configuration.
Thanks for the help in advance.

    Karthick

  • Com.sap.pct.srm.core configuration missing in Portal for SRM

    Hi,
We have installed a new portal 7.0 ehp1.
    Installed the SRM business package.
    configured all the roles.
    Configured UWL
But in Universal workflow configuration content , com.sap.pct.srm.core is missing.
In our development system , it was already present. Not sure why in the new system it is missing.
Can we download from the development system and upload it in the new system.
    Thanks,
    Tanuj

That should have been installed when you install the corresponding BP for SRM.
To answer your question - yes you can download it from your DEV system and upload it into your QA system.
    Thanks,
    Shanti
