SRM 7.0 customer fields not saved in shopping cart

Dear experts,
I have created 2 fields using the fields extension in the customizing and set the metadata for them to be displayed. The fields are visible on screen. However when data enteres, this data is not being saved in the Shopping cart document.
Any clues?
Another question, which is a bit techno, is when i have extended the SC screen using the enhancement framework instead of using the standard extension options. i would have thought that by binding these fields to the standard header node with the custom fields as structure would have saved me the job of throwing data and fetching data from the table/bapi. This isn't working either. I reckon the problem will be related to issue #1 above.

Hello Ali,
did you extend both the structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC and INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF? It should be useful to define a custom structure that contains your fields and append it to both the structure named above. Then re-check if the metadata structure has been enhanced properly (in your case, view /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IC).

EDIT: I was assuming you were intended to add new fields at item level. If your task is to add fields @ header level, simply substitute HEADER to ITEM in the structure's name.

I have added a Custom field to Shopping Cart line item level through IMG. I have added a Custom filed at IMG , Configure Custom Fields -> Define Customer Display fileds at ITem level, I have added my field to Appended Structure and Save it. Then I went to Portal SHopping Cart screen Item level I am not able to see my field. What are the next steps missed to appear my custom field on Portal Shopping cart Screen?

I follow the above path and click on it. I am seeing two activities: 1) Metadata for Fields on Item Level 2) Default Metadata for Fields in Items that do not (yet) Exist
I choose first one 1)Metadata for Fields on Item Level , Selected Business Object BUS2121 and Stru Field Name my custom column , Field Enabled and Visible is Checked and Save it. Still its not showing up in the Portal Screen. Do I need to fill any other fields Like Bus Obj Sub Type, Tans Type,Item Type?
I tried 2) Default Metadata for Fields in Items that do not (yet) Exist*
one also with same above process. Still its not showing up in the Portal Screen.
Am I missing anything? Still do I need do anything?

Price_C field not appearing in Shopping cart

Hi All,
I am using MDM5.5 SP02 and SRM server 5.0 and facing problem for price field
Earlier I tried to upload catalogs price with price information field , but didn't succeded.
Then I created new field in MDM console as Price_c and uploaded the price.
In UI config I mapped the New_ITEM-PRICE with the new field Price_c.
But when I go to create shopping cart , this field is not available.
Even whatever setting I have made User specific fields i.e Customise display fields ,Customize Search fields are not appearing in the Shopping cart

Hello Suds,
If you create any extra fields or tables then make sure that they have proper codes assigned to them or not in MDM Console.
If not then assigned the proper code name.just follow the code name as MDMSRM_FIELDNAME.
If the field which you have created related to any OCI field then just map with that in UI else map it with NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD1.
By doing this, you will get the field which you required.

Custom Field not showing in analytics?

We have a custom field on the account object called sales stage. It is a simple pick list (our organization does not use the opportunity object). The custom field is not available in analytics. Is there something on the field setup that needs to be flagged? All of our other fields seem to appear just fine. This is so bizzarre!!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

We have a similar problem concerning custom fields not available in Answers. It concerns a custom field for an additional tel no. in the user record type. I thought it might have something to do with the fact that it can only be utilized through the other data types, using "owned by user".
But as you have the same problem, maybe there is a solution... Any idea would be appreciated.

Bugseye catalog does not return a shopping cart occasionally

Dear Experts,
We have a problem where Bugseye catalog items sometimes randomly do not return a shopping cart into the SRM portal side. This happens randomly for any Bugseye items after restarting the browser (IE8 and Firefox 3.6.13). Otherwise the Bugseye catalogs are running fine with an https connection.
After the browser restart, about 1/3 attempts to create a shopping cart from Bugseye catalogs return nothing. Instead the user is brought back to 'Shop in 4 steps' screen without a shopping cart. After the failed attempt a user lock is created (tcode SM12) and the shopping session left open. Once a shopping cart is successfully returned, it does not fail again unless the browser is restarted. The error happens randomly and we haven't been able to figure out any logic behind it. We have verified that the source codes in the Bugseye side, just before continuing to order items, are identical for a successful and non-successful tries. We have also placed breakpoints in function module BBP_WS_IMPORT_SC_DATA, to ensure no errors are issued for the items
Does anyone have any idea what could cause the problem?
We are running SRM7.0 Extended Classic Scenario ( SRM 7.00 SP11). Requisite Bugseye version 4.0.0.25.

sometimes the browser cookie and session information will be conflicting with the punchout window. It is better to clear the cookie information and then try once on http.

Solution:
Step:1
Assign SRM standard or custom role like /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE to user; Please make sure multiple values been maintained in attribute CNT cost center in PPOMA_BBP for the user

Disable BE_F4_HELP authority activity for role /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE in BBP Component > SRM: General Access Authorizations in EBP

Apply SAP Note 668746 - COIN - Switching off OKB9 in EBP scenario in SAP R/3 as per note 815849 Solution 1
System will check during the processing of account assignment objects in an EBP scenario, the backend system reads the default account assignment (Transaction OKB9) as usual if EBP does not provide any account assignment. This note will Switch off OKB9 in EBP scenario and it will list the CNT values from PPOMA in the shopping cart account assignment F4 help.

Approval Preview not displayed in Shopping cart

Hi,
On creating shopping carts through Plan Driven procurement, we are changing the cart status from the default "Ordered/Approved" to "Awaiting approval". The approvers are displayed in BBP_PD for this Shopping Cart, however the same is not visible in SRM portal.
We have also refreshed all the templates, but the Approval tab and Overview link, is not displayed in shopping cart.
We are on SRM 5.0, 5.5 server, Extended Classic scenario with SP 17 and have implemented N-step approval work flow BADI to determine approvers based on the cost center entered in shopping cart.
Kindly provide inputs to have approvers displayed in SRM portal.

SAP does not provide the standard solution for triggering the WF from external system ( ECC )... any document create outside the SRM, system will automatically put the status to approved... even 0-Level wont trigger... you can activate the nstep workflow by following step by step help...

This issue seems to be related to SRM design bug so raise it with SAP on high priority.

Customer Fields not getting poplulated in PO in R/3 (ECC 6.0) from SRM 5.0

    We Recently upgraded our R/3 System from 4.6 C to ECC 6.0.
Shopping card number is getting created in SRM side and after approval it is getting sent to R/3 Back end,We have some customer fields that need to be populated in the back end from the shopping card,Which is not happening as of now.We are using the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 for creating the PO in R/3.We tried running the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 Standalone by giving the customer fields Table EXTENSIONIN and in Structure BAPI_TE_PO_ITEMS,But the custom fields are not populating in the PO.

Custom field not appearing in Japanese language in some pages of SRM portal

Hi,
We have a requirement to add a customer field(a check box) to the shopping cart. To do this we have enhanced a Webdynpro component along with the desired changes in the shopping cart header table.
The problem that we are facing is that, this custom field appears perfectly fine in the SRM portal in English language. However, in Japanese language(By changing the language settings in the browser), we find that the check box label is not displayed in certain views, and is displayed in some other views (Note that the check box is visible in both views). I believe that this problem is not related to translation.
Kindly help us if you are aware of a solution to this problem.

Although this note is for SRM 6.0,you can check the required settings.
Also as mentioned in note Note 672960 - User-defined fields 2,please carry the foll steps:
If you define fields for the first time, the system generates a screen for the display. If you create or delete fields, the screen must be regenerated. To do this, start report BBP_DYNPROS_GENERATE, change the proposed program to SAPLBBP_PDH_CUF and execute the report. Select the checkbox for the screens with the descriptions BBP_PDS_HCF for the table-like fields at the header and/or with the description BBP_PDS_ICF for the table-like fields at the item. You can use the 'Copy' button to enforce a regeneration of the screens.

SRM 7.0 custom field made required in field control but not working

Dear Gurus,
I have added one custom field in the SC, made it mandatory/required with by setting flag in the field control. But i can save/park/order the SC without entering any value in the field.
However, if i set the same option for a standard field like "shopping cart name", the user cannot go further without entering a value. Although I can handle this with the BAdI, but shouldn't this work?

I'd say Yes it should. But it is not working based on my observation. I'd suggest that you create an OSS message and get an official SAP response to this issue.

Custom field not getting displayed in SUS PO item level

HI all,
We are using SRM 5.0, ECC6.0 and ECS scenario.
As per SAP note 762984, we have enhanced the structures such as :
INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SUSPO
INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF
and have added a record in the following place in SPRO:
Supplier Relationship management-> Supplier self service->Make field control settings for tables.
| Item | Display | Z.PO.ITM.VIEW
| Item | Change | Z.PO.ITM.EDIT
But we are unable to display the field in the SUS screen.
We had also referred to the following blog :

but had no success.
Please let us know if we did something wrong or are we missing something.
Also please let us know if BSP changes are really necessary to do this as neither in the SAP note nor in the above mentioned blog, there is any mention about this.

Thank you for your inputs. I executed the program but it didn't display the field.
But I was able to rectify it by re-creating the steps mentioned in the blog (see original post). I had missed giving correct positions to the custom field.

Custom fields not display in SRM5.5 Basic Data Frame

Hello Everybody,
      I am working on SRM5.5 Server which i have to add two custom fields in Basic Data Frame..
     No field is display in basic data frame After I added those fields in INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC and INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF.
    I added these fields by help of 672960 OSS notes..
   Add also when i execute the program BBP_DYNPROS_GENERATE where I entered the program name as SAPLBBP_PDH_CUF and execute but non of them is working fine..
Is there anything else do i need to display custom fields in basic data frame??
I have one more question..
When you logon through SAPGUI and goto BBPSC01 t.code where you see lots of fields in basic data frame such as unloading point and all.. But those all fields does not display when you logon through WebURL..
I checked is there any BAdi such CUF or Screenvarient or some Badi has been actived but non of the Badi has been implemented..
To display all the fields which are display in GUI Mode also should display in URL..
To bring this functionality , What do i need to do?

We are trying to add custom fields to the Shopping Cart Header. We are using SRM 5.0. We added the fields to the structures "INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_SC" & "INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF". We are able to see the custom fields. But the issue is , we are able to see the custom fields in the Shopping Cart one step shop scenario. Whereas when we run the wizard which is a 3 step scenario, we are not able to see the custom fields.
Technically speaking, the custom fields are visible for the ITS BBPSC01 & BBPSC03 , where as these custom fields are not visible for the ITS BBPSC02.
Please let me know, if we need to append the fields to some other structure to be able to see them in the Shopping cart wizard also.
I will be gald to provide any kind of info.

PO Custom Field not getting filled from Shopping Cart

I am new to SRM. The requirement I had was to add a new field to the SC. I read several posts and articles on this but couldn't find the solution to it. I managed to do this modifying the corresponding structures in SRM and making the necessary changes in R/3 so the new filed can be seen in ME21/22/23N.
I checked Andreas Milbredt document to achieve it as mentioned:

After that, when I create a Shopping Cart, the value in the New field is not transferred to the Back end.
I coded the following BADIs and User Exits:
In SRM:
BBP_CUF_BADI_2 (MODIFY_SCREEN) ->To enable or disable the field depending on conditions. Works fine.
BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI (BBP_DOC_CHECK) -> To do some checks. Works Fine
BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW (FILL_PO_INTERFACE1) ->Here I fill structures BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM and BAPI_TE_MEPOITEMX. I added another u2018Xu2019 to indicate the new field to BAPI_TE_MEPOITEMX. But I think I am not doing it right. This structure BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM/X, does the order of the fields correspond to the order of the fields in any of these 3 structures (which I am using)?

Hi Ernesto,
You can find out how your BAPI structure is being populated (by generating the test data ) using FBGENDAT program and activating the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 (and you will need to set the parameter for the specified user id)... This will provide you ability to execute the BAPI offline and figure out what is happening...

Multi line custom field badly saved to database

Hello community,
we're fighting currently against a strange issue.
All projects has some multi line custom fields to fill every week for project status.
During this exercise, some of the comments seems not well saved to database.
While coming back to the PDP, we are seeing a strange behavior :
Starting from that, I tried to look in the database and the saved html format is badly formatted, you can see a </div> in the middle and a missing one at the end of the sentence:
<div>Révision et approbation de l'ODS de Facilité.</div> <div> </div></div> <div>Compléter le questionnaire à soumettre aux experts.</div>
<div> </div> <div>Présentation et choix des experts.
As of now, we did not find any reason why this is happening.
While opening back the PDP in edition and saving back ,the problem is solved.
This is annoying because we are treating the html code as xml for reporting as seen here (http://aboutmsproject.com/converting-rtf-to-text-in-sql-revisited/
) and this is crashing because of badly formatted html code
any advices?

I've seen this issue occur when text is pasted into the field from other applications, like Outlook and Word. I've not yet been able to determine how to get it to stop. The error then causes the invalid XML issue you are seeing. A former co-worker had successfully
integrated the use of jQuery into PDPs. I'm wondering if they have a HTML clean function.
