SRM 7.0 EHP1 - new functions for BRF workflows

Hi all,
We currently upgraded our SRM 5.0 system to SRM 7.0.
We need some inputs whether to activate the EHP1 for SRM 7.0
Are there any limitations in terms of BRF workflows which are now covered in SRM 7.0 EHP1?
In SRM 5.0,we were using n step header level approval workflow using the BADI and custom tables for approval determination.
We need to map the same in SRM 7.0 now but wanted to know the limitations in terms of any new functionalituies which can be used in terms of Shoppign cart workflow in SRM 7 EHP1 v/s SRM 7.0 SP10.
I read in one of the posts in the forum that parallel processing for BRF workflows is not supported in SRM 7.0 EHP1.Please advise.

We are having lot of issues with the ACW in SRM 5.0 and hence plan to reimplement the workflow in SRM 7.0 using the process controlled workflows plus the new features introduced for workflow.
Can you please advise if ACW are better than PCW or vice-versa??
I dnt have the link for the post but cans someone confirm if parallel processing is supported in SRM 7.0 EHP1 workflows??

my requirement is to differentiate or make condition of triggering workflow based on trip activity type,
but I can't find any attribute about trip activity type.
how to add activity type to be available for create condition?

Hi,
If am not wrong you are trying to raise event when ever there is a new travel request raised, so the BOR would be availbel in the workflow container to be more preciese it would be available in the event container, so you need to find out the right attribute in the BOR where the trip type is assigned and validate this in the start conditions i mean in the basic data of the workflow where you activate the event linkage.

BAPI or function for FB03 workflow overview

Hi community.
First of all, I'm not pretty sure if that's the right section, so sorry if not... >_<
Regarding my issue, I'm looking for a BAPI (if it exists) to get the same data as menu > Workflow >workflow overview in FB03 transaction. If a Bapi does not exists, is there any other way to get this data?

I'm interested on getting the workflow's history (with all the agents, the tasks and so on).
Using a trace with st05, I checked the tables where I can get the data, but I was hoping that there was an existing function or BAPI that can do this... Or part of it. So that I won't have to do specific development for this (I'm trying to use as many standard functions as possible).

New number for a workflow template

Hi all,
do you know if it's possible in 4.7 to change the number of a workflow template, for example from WS90000017 to WS90000007. After some technical problems I need this kind of operation but I've seen that after a copy the number is automatically created by the system using an ordered sequence.

Number of workflow template is generated automatically by the system based on Workflow customization settings.
And the very intension is to have each workflow template a unique number across the system.
By the way, what was the reason, you needed a diferent number for same template?

Hi Rekha,
If you are using MS CRM on premise version you can have access to that location. This is a system file.
Assume your CRM is installed on C drive then the location will be.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_static\_common\scripts
Note:making any change in CRM system files comes under unsupported customization.

Idoc not generated for Invoice in SRM 7.0 EHP1

Hi Folks
We are working in SRM 7.0 EHP1 (Standalone Scenario) and facing a issue with Invoice. Most of the times we are able to post Invoices to the FI system but some times the Invoices are stuck with status Awaiting Approval.
Can you guys help me on the same if this is a bug or is there are some issues which can be fixed ?

Hi,
You can add the custom filed in invoice overview in the following manner:
1) Add required custom fields to the Standard Header structures u2018INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSFu2019 and
INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_INV
2) Create new entries in the view /SAPSRM/V_MDF_HC, for the Custom fields added to the standard structure
Mention overe there business object as Invoice
3) Enhance corresponding the webdyn pro component
Create new node in the respective context. Then create ui element in the view layout and bind this ui element with the created context node.

Also We use both Web DynPro and BSP for designing User Interfaces. The difference between BSP and Web DynPro are:
i. In Web DynPro there is lesser coding when compared with BSP. i.e Web Dynrpo are more dependent on Designing rather than coding whereas, BSP's are done by coding.
ii. There is low possibilty of customization in web dynrpo, i.e We need to use only the available color or style themes available..It is not easy to have user defined color themes but in BSP we can have our own color themes at ease...
These two are the basis difference between WebDynPro and BSP.

Is it possible to add new mappings for SRM?

I am looking to replicate some of the "Request for Quotation" creation/management functionality from SRM in a custom application (for business/technical/ease-of-use reasons) and send the created RFQs over to SAP SRM. Can I use XI to send RFQs into SRM (I know I can retrieve them using XI for custom supplier apps, but can I send them in as well)?
While reviewing the EBP mappings in Integration Builder, I see there is a mapping for RequestForQuotation_Create_Out, but not for RequestForQuotation_Create_In. Is it possible to add this mapping? Or in other words - <b>is it possible to create new mappings for SRM in XI that are in addition to the standard mappings that are shipped with SRM/XI? </b>

<i>I see there is a mapping for RequestForQuotation_Create_Out</i> --> I dont think you can find a mapping for the same. RequestForQuotation_Create_Out should be the name of the interface(outbound). What it means is you can have your own custom defined inbound interface and perform the mapping on your own in a new SWC. Pls update me if you can see a mapping for the same. Also you can have yor own interfaces and mapping in your SWC apart from the standard as suggested by Bhavesh and Abhy.
Take care while desingning the interface for SRM part coz SRM has the ability to output in XML format. Check this functionality first and start designing your interface.

Using the new EPMDriverBasedRefresh function for What-if Analysis

Hi,
A new function is available that supposedly enables easy what-if modelling in BPC. This sounds great because currently for what-if analysis, you need to duplicate data in the database (using differnet categories or data sources) which can be time consuming and impact overall performance.
Has anyone got any experience with this EPMDriverBasedRefresh function? There is some documentation on SAP's userguide but there are no specifics on the type of logic that is supported for scenario outputs i.e. is it only Member Formula Logic (Account 1 x Account 2 = Account 3), or can it support more complex scenarios such as running through Default Logic (and any BAdIs you may have) to retrieve the modelled output? (This would be awesome!)

and it says:
"This function enables you to refresh specific rows or columns of one or more reports, based on a specified range of data drivers whose values you can modify.
Additionally, you can specify to refresh a whole report that is outside of the specified range of data drivers.
This function can be used for example for what-if analysis."
My testing has found that it does not run default logic (where our driver-based calculation BAdI is called).
Any experience from fellow SDNers would be much apprecited! Otherwise I'll put a call into SAP to get the documentation expanded a little.
