Is tehre a good book on SRM 7.0? I tried with SAP-Press but don't think there is any. Please advice.

1. Workflow approval is process controlled workflow called Business Rule Framework (BRF)
2. New features of Public Procurement Sector (PPS) - Tendering for Public sector
Mostly it will be used in INDIA in all the public sector undertaking.
Already one company have implemented SRM 7.0 with PPS .
ONGC went live in April'2009 , there are 2 companies undergoing SRM 7.0 PPS implementation

Is there a good book or tutorial about building a website in AS3?

I haven't seen any.

There's one book Flash Professional 8 Beyond the Basics that walks the reader through a step by step process of building a website using AS2. I was just hoping someone had done the same thing for AS3. It's not such a big deal really I have a couple of good AS3 books and I've seen some great tutorials at Lynda.com and other places. I'm able to piece together simple sites as it is. I wonder if someone has something like this in the works to come out soon, It seems like it's a niche waiting to be filled by a good writer.

Searching for a good book about [Arch Linux]

Hello friends,
I'm here stuck with Windows 8, making a couple of tests about installing Arch Linux in VMware Workstation, if it succeeds, I'll move to Arch completely. My question is: Is there a good book about Arch (installation, maintenance, best practices, security, and so on)? I tried "Arch Linux Environment set-up How-To", but unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected.
I'm a little confused about UEFI + GRUB2 + GPT/MBR but I think I'll dominate it soon...

@op As others have mentioned, do not seek out knowledge from a book. There has been quite a few shifts in Archlinux, specifically to uefi and systemd. There are a few starters for your concern.

Other then that, there is the forums and a quick search will land you on a goldmine of knowledge. Great idea to start it up in a vmware, although it will not require the uefi boot, but it will still get you a bit more familiar with the install process and iron out some basic questions. Good luck!

most j2ee patterns are discredited now. they were mostly workarounds for deficiencies in ejb 1 & 2 specs.
"core j2ee patterns" is your best bet, but take it with a grain of salt.

on the program itself I have never used it before I talked to one person who has and he likes it. DrJava is not too bad it has a REPL which comes in hand once and a while, emacs is really good too well the best really there is so many docs on it too.

I purchased Aperture only about two weeks ago, my main purpose being to compose and have a book printed by Apple. As well as to make sharing albums with family and friends easier.
I was impressed with the ease with which I could enhance about 60 photographs with very good results. I do indispensable, limited enhancements to originals and found this a lot easier to perform (and thus much less time consuming) with Aperture than with Lightroom (which I have been underusing for quite a while) or, for that matter, with Photoshop CS6 (which I have been underusing to considerably larger extent). I find the Lightroom user interface crammed (despite the fact that mine is a 27” screen) - Aperture is just considerably cleaner and more intuitive to use.
Having said this, I am finding that giving the book the shape I would like* is not showing that obvious. Scoppettuolo’s book is on its way, trust it should help.
The outlook for Aperture does not look bright, I know, with Apple having decided - as I understand it - to discontinue development on it. This looks like a great pity to me!
* which is no more than that of a rather simple album, with a simple cover and title, no photo on the back cover and all photos placed in similar way on light grey pages (to show a similar frame on each page, meant to be quite simply that running through from the edge of the photo to that of the page)

What's a good book for getting started?

I've been doing web design in HTML and ColdFusion for almost 3 years. It's clear that ColdFusion is on it's way out and I need to learn J2EE/Java/JSP etc. I have a few questions:
Java is a term I've heard associated with C++ and other types of programming as well as Web design. Are the Java/C++ Java and the Web Java basically the same type of language? Is the Web Java and JavaScript the same thing? I'm very confused!
What is a good book for getting these types of questions answered and getting started in J2EE/Java/JSP? There are quite a few variations of script languages out there and I want to make sure I learn the right stuff, ie the stuff that employers are going to be needing.

Print it off or read from the screen. Otherwise, there are several good Java books out there. What I would do is go to the bookstore and thumb through a few books. Depending on what type of book you want (example based or theory) find the books that you think would satisfy your learning style. Write down the names and authors, go home and buy them used online at Amazon for tremendous discounts. This way you can buy several versus just one.

Is there a good advanced review on applet-servlet communication

I am working on a web application and unfortunately experiencing a lot of trouble trying to use an applet as front end which interacts with a couple of servlets running on Tomcat. I need to get data from one servlet and send data to another.
There is a lot of messages posted in this and other forums about how to do this, but none of them got a response pointing to a useful advanced reference on this subject. I have reviewed some of the references given, but couldn't find a thorough detailed advanced reference on applet-servlet communication. For this I mean an exhaustive explanation of the mechanism of communication and when and when is neccesary to use each of the multiple configuration possibilities regarding content-type, message-length, request-method, connection settings, and so on.
Would anybody be so kind to show me the right direction? As I read the (literally) hundreds of messages posted on this topic, I see this info as widely useful. Most of the topic tracks ends on void or with painful no-way sentences, and maybe many people is avoiding Java technology on web application because of this problem (development delays can abort a project).
