SRM 7.0 PCW. Follow-on document creation

Dear experts: we are in SRM 7.0 and have implemented PCW with approval at item level. Our end users want to have automatic follow-on document creation inmediatlly after SC item approval. However, as per standard SAP SRM, they have to wait untill all levels for all items have been approved.
One example will illustrate: A shopping cart with two items. Due to the threshold, item1 requires only one level of approval, while item2 requires two levels. Both items will result in a dfferent purchaisng document in the backend system in a classic scenario: Item1 will result in a PReq, while item2 will result in a Purchase Order.
Once first level for the two items have been approved, would it be possible to generate the follow-on document for the first item as no further approval for this item is needed is needed?
Our end users are familiar with Preqs in MM, where item approval process is done at item level and the follow-on document can be created even when the other items in the PReq are not yet approved.
Thanks in advance for your valuable  help.
Regards
Valentí

Hi,
No, this is not possible, once all the item in a SC approved, then only system will create a follow-on-documents. As per your scenario , item1 will still wait until item2 gets approved. This is standard.

  • Copy value from Preceding doc to follow up during creation

    HI All,
    Requirement is :
Service order is created as follow up document to the interaction record. During follow up document creation two fields 'Summary' and 'Priority' need to be copied to the Service order from the Interaction record. Hence when the follow up document is created before SAVE is done these values are to be copied/visible there. Also these fields are to be editable as well.
    Problem:
Though i could get the values of these fields i could not set them using 'set_property_as_string' method to the service order as the entity created was having null attribute reference. Kindly let me know how then i may copy these values?
    Looking forward for your support.

  • Creation of a follow-up document

    Dear experts,
In the Web IC, I would like to create an activity as a follow-up document of another contact.
In the "Follow-up" block, I select my transaction type and then click on the "Follow-up" button.
Then I can access my new contact by clicking on the link In the "Activity Clipboard.
But I'd like to access my new activity directly when I click the "Follow-up" button. The click should launch the creation of the activity.
Does anybody know how to customize this?
Thanks a lot for your helpfull information.
    Pascale

    Hello Pascale,
"Follow-up" button is present to enable a quick creation of follow up.
That is end user can just input those limited fields, and click on this button to create the document without going into the detail.
And at the same time, standard IC do provides another link to the detailed follow up documents to enable user add more detail.
The link "Follow-up Details" can realize such purpose and should be the one you are asking for.
    The steps are:
    - select the transaction type in the drop down;
    - click on "Follow-up Details" link, this lead to another page of the detailed activity creating, only at this time the activity is being created;
    - click on the Back button without save, you will return to the previous screen, and get the link in Activity Clipboard for future access;
Hope I have understood your requirement correctly!

  • SRM and ERP follow on documents

Hello all, I am working in SRM 7.0 in a classic scenary.
When I create a shopping cart that generate purchase requisition in the backend system, and then I create a purchase order with reference to this purchase requisition directly in the backend, this PO doesn´t appears in the follow on document tab information.
I am not sure that this is correct or not. Follow on documents in this case must be updated in SRM?
    Thanks in advance
    Rosa Rodríguez

    YES.
Follow on docuement must be updated in the each item of the shopping cart .
    check clean_reqreq_up and BBP_GET_Status_2 jobs.
you need to explore if they were not updated in SRM.
in ECC docuemnts shopping cart details will not be there , if you want sc number in ECC business object, you need little enhancement to populate sc number with item field.
    check bbp_pd
or paste first 20 lines of bbp_pd .

  • Call List and Creation of a Complaint as a follow-up document

    Hi Experts,
I have a basic question in reference to the Call List Functionality of SAP CRM 7.0. We have to generate a list to measure the satisfaction of our customers. In this cases it is possible that the customer is very unsatisfied with the provided service and wants to open a complaint. Now my question is, if it is possible to open a complaint in the form of a follow-up document of the call list (so that the data of the customer is directly copied from the call list to the complaint - I am talking about data like Business Partner ID, etc.).
Is that possible? What is the customizing I have to do to make this possible? What are the basic steps?
    Best Regards
    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,
Don't know if I understand correctly the question, but if it helps, here's my opinion.
Normally, we create every call of a call list associated with a document...  a contact/interaction record.
So, for your scenario, I would try to create 'complaint' as follow-up document of that contact.
Then the agent makes the call and:
    - If the customer don't answer or don't want to complaint, just close the contact with the respective reason
    - If want to answer and have a complaint, the agent create a follow-up document of complaint type, and fill with the respective information.
Hope that helps you a little more.
    Kind regards,
    Garcia

  • SC Item in Transfer process active - follow on document status not updated

    Hi Gurus,
Follow on document is not updated in SRM after PO creation. Ours is classic scenario (SRM 5.5, ECC6.0) and passed thru the following steps - SC (FFT) created, document approved, sent to SoCo, purchaser assigned vendor and created PO, PO created in ECC.
In SRM SoCo screen displays message 'PO created 45xxxxxxxxxx'  successfully. Checked the BE PO 45xxxxxxx that was created successfully.
Ran BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP jobs. jobs finished successfully. But status is not updated in SRM. RZ20/SLG1 does not have any errors.
    BBP_PD shows following statuses:
         I105   Awaiting Approval         X
         I1021 Created
         I1038  Complete
         I1106  SC ordered
         I1129  Approved
         I1111 Item in Transfer process
The last status I1111 is still active.
Any advise are welcome. Not sure if I am missing any OSS Notes.
    Regards
    Viktor Paul

    Hi,
    1. Check in table BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB if the entry exists use CLEAN_REQREQ_UP program.
    2. If entry in the table not exists then check in transaction BBP_PD if the follow on document ( PO ) Number reserved for
the SC .. then use FM  BBP_PD_SC_RESUBMIT.
    3. none of these use normal process  execute BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER And then use CLEAN_REQREQ_UP

  • PO Number not updated in Follow on documents tab

    Hello,
    We are on SRM_SERVER 550, SP07. SAP 4.7 backend.
We recently did the unicode upgrade on the SAP and SRM systems. Since then we are having a problem:
The SC is approved and PO is created in backend.
The Follow on documents tab shows--> Follow on documents created, but does not show the PO number.
The SC line item still has the "Sourcing relevant indicator" and the item appears in sourcing. The selection check box is deactivated.
Inspite of running BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP, the status doesnt change.
The spool of BBP_GET_STATUS_2 shows the message
"More than one reference to a purchase requisition is not expected"
Has anyone else also had a similar issue after unicode upgrade of SAP Systems? Please let me know if there is a solution to this.

  • Deleting Limit Items on PO even though follow on documents exist

    Dear SRM Experts
I am hoping someone can explain the below behaviour:
Where PO's have follows on documents i.e. confirmation and /or invoice you cannot delete PO's items on a PO. This makes sense.
However we also have PO's with Limit items(created via limit type shopping carts) and even though the PO's have been confirmed and invoiced we can still delete the items on the PO. Is this standard behavior or a bug?
Why then can you not delete normal items but can delete limit type items where follow on documents have been posted for a PO?
    Thanks
    Nishad.

    Hi
Which SRM version are you using ?
Incase of Limit Items, it is a bug.
We have raised a similar issue with SAP some time back and still waiting for SAP to get back on this.
    Hope this will help.

  • Limitation on po line items and follow on documents

    Hi All,
    Greetings..
Can any one let me know what is the cap limit for line items for an srm PO and even on the follow on documents.
Currently wer arein 4.0 and are facing problems with these issues upgrade is planned next month.
will this be an issue in SRM 7.0 also
    Regards
    Gopi

    Hi
I dont think there is any cap limit for line items of a Purchase order in SRM. It must be something specific to your landscape. In that case , check what is developed to put a check on limit field in SRM 4.0.
You will then need to evaluate if that developmnet is impacted in SRM 7.0 or not

  • Invoice document is not appearing in follow-on document list

    Dear All,
I am customizing Classic scenario for my client. In our process, Shopping cart only created in SRM 5.0 system where as all  follow-on document - PR/PO/GR/IV will be created on back-end SAP ECC 6.0 system.
    My Issue:
    1. Shopping cart appears in requested 'Check Status' list till the time PR, PO and GR created in back-end ECC system.
SC disappear in the requester 'Check status' list the moment invoice entered in back-end ECC system. Do the problem
is due to authorization issue ?
    2. Other user who has SRM-Administrator authorization can view all such shopping cart in 'Monitor shopping cart' option.
All follow-on document such as PR, PO and confirmation are appearing in Status check option both in graphics as well

  • Follow on Document details not correct

    Hello Experts,
We are in SRM 4.0 Classic
One Shopping Cart has been created with 1Goods and 7 Service line items....
PR has been created in backend...... (we see generally SC line item 1,2,3.... follow sequece 10,20,30 in PR, But here this order is shuffled.... though all the SC and PR line item details are correct)
Now for SC line item 2, 'follow on document' tab  shows details of PR line item 40 and vice versa.... which is incorrect....
Except these two SC line items, all other SC items shows correct PR line item details in follow on document
Can anyone advise on such system behaviour?  Is thr any way to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Dhananjay

    Hi,
Did you delete some line items and again added them in your SC? Are you using cost distribution in your SC?
