SRM 7.0 SUS with ECS

Dear Experts,
In SRM 7.0 with Extended classic scenario  but found that SUS doesnu2019t support confirmations and invoice postings. Can you please clarify me is there any workaround to achieve this functionality without compromising the technical scenario.
Thanks and Regards,
Venkata Koppisetti.

Your observations are perfectly correct.
Note 700350 - Supplier Enablement: Deployment Scenarios integrating SUS
The extended classic scenario
The shopping cart is created in SAP Enterprise Buyer. The purchase order and follow-on documents are also created there and then replicated to the backend system. The purchase order in SAP Enterprise Buyer is the leading purchase order and cannot be changed in the backend system. Goods receipts and invoices can be pre-entered in SAP Enterprise Buyer or entered directly in the backend system.
SUS: With SAP Supplier Self-Services, you have supplier involvement for the purchase order and the purchase order response as well as for the shipping notification. Documents for confirmation and invoice are not fully supported in the standard. The restrictions for these documents also depend on the SRM release.
I prefer to do Invoice only do in Backend system. There are some poor validation in SRM and lot of data spillage while distributing from one system to another system

  • MM SUS with ECS activation

    Hi,
We have activated ECS in SRM 7.0 with PPS activation.
I want to know is it possible to use MM-SUS.
We have a requirement of PO response and ASN by supplier to be done.
    Regards
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
You cannot use MM-SUS with ECS activated.
However you can implement EBP-SUS scenario which will support PO response but not ASN unfortunately.

  • Invoice Plan with ECS

    Hi,
Has anyone got a possible solution to using invoice plans with ECS? I am aware that this is not standard functionality - but there may be an add-on in public sector procurement?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
I noticed your message regarding invoicing plans in SRM 7.0.  Did you happen to find a solution for this?  We are having the exact same issue.  Is there a custom solution for adding an invoicing plan to SRM 7.0?

  • Migrating from SRM 7.0 Classic to ECS - Seeking some clarifications

    Hello Friends,
We are now planning to upgrade from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0 and then migrated to Classic to ECS. We have the below challenging points which I need clarification,
    1) How do we go about the Taxation and Pricing Part, If we migrate from Classic to ECS
    2) Presently we have R/3 contracts in place and the same is linked to MDM catalogue and now the client wants the contracts to
be in SRM. In that case how do we go about the strategy.
    3) Asset Procurement: Now all WBS element are converting into assets by running the Z-Program in between PR and PO in R/3
system. But when we migrate to ECS PO gets created in SRM, so how do we go about the asset procurement in ECS scenario.
    4) Confirmation and Invoice transferring to R/3 through Idoc distribution Model. Going forward in SRM 7.0 the same will continue or
do we go with SOA. Please confirm.
Further to this can you please let me know, what are all the major challenges for upgrading the system to SRM 7.0 and migration from Classic to ECS.
I would appreciate for you quick response. Points will be awarded for appropriate answers.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram.

    Ramesh,
    Few inputs for this project
    1. You need to clearly seperate out the upgrate (5.0 to 7.0) and Migration (Classic to ECS) in your project planning to derisk the project i.e. you should have seperate testing cycle time/ efforts for  upgrade and then on migration so that functional/ teachnical team working out in the project can clearly identifies issues between upgrade and migration seperately and work on them.
    2. You have to work with business to make a decision on conversion of old classic PO's (incomplete GR/IR still required) and PO in process (SC created under approval in SRM). I strongly suggest you should not involve into conversion and keep it out of this project.
    3. SRM do have option to take care of your tax configuration. BTW most of the company use external software to calculate tax amount.
    4. You need to build workflow for PO in SRM since now PO will be created in SRM.
    5. You need to create smartform / output determination in SRM for the PO. Please note SAP has provided some consulting notes if you continue to handle document transmission in backend with ECS.
    6. Yes a distribution model needs to be setup for confirmation and Invoice if you are not doing it now in classic scenario.
Asset procurement solution you mentioned looks specific to your Org business needs, you need to explore to fit into new environment.
    All the best
    Thanks, Sachin

    Hi all,
We are using the same client for EBP & SUS & we are on SRM5.0 & ECC 6.0.
My question is, do we need to maintain multiple companies as separate nodes in the Org structure.
The problem is, we are able to transfer a R/3 PO to SUS for 1 company code, wheras when we issue the PO for other company codes, the PO errors out in SUS with the message "maintain country for sold to party' .

  • SRM on One client with ERP

    Hi,
My Client is currently using SAP ECC MM for Procure to Payment process. We are currently evaluating option for implementing  SRM 7.0 for web base procurement solution. As per the information available in www.service.sap.com, there is a software called  u2018SAP SRM on one client with SAP ERPu2019 available at this moment. I have following doubts regarding SRM on one client system:
    1. As I mention, currently we are using SAP ECC. Does the u2018SRM one client softwareu2019 component will install on the top of our
existing ECC system in the same server if we will implement SRM one client system ?
    2. Normal SRM 7.0 connect to ECC through RFC connection. As SRM and ECC are on the same client. Does it mean we don't
required RFC connection for SRM one client system?
    3. In one client SRM system,  SRM can be install on the top of existing ECC system.  Does it mean,  additional hardware
components like server, network etc are not are not required for SRM one client system ? We can use the existing ECC server
        and network for SRM.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regds,
    Jennifer

    Hi Jeniifer,
I tried providing information to your queries below in bold. Hope it is of any help to you.
    1. As I mention, currently we are using SAP ECC. Does the u2018SRM one client softwareu2019 component will install on the top of our
existing ECC system in the same server if we will implement SRM one client system ? - *Yes. SRM will get installed in the same server.*
    2. Normal SRM 7.0 connect to ECC through RFC connection. As SRM and ECC are on the same client. Does it mean we don't
required RFC connection for SRM one client system? - RFC connection will still be required but since it's same client, the connectivity and data transfer will be very fast and quick.
    3. In one client SRM system, SRM can be install on the top of existing ECC system. Does it mean, additional hardware
components like server, network etc are not are not required for SRM one client system ? We can use the existing ECC server
and network for SRM. - Yes you can use existing ECC server.
This SRM one client software will be very useful in case of a small industry or business, which does not have huge data or processing. But in case your organisation is bigger, then this will not be very useful.
To find out possibility of usage of SRM one client software, I would suggest you to get in touch with SAP sales team and they will arrange for a meet to discuss it further.
    Cheers,
    Ravi

  • SRM Local Purchase Order with both a standard line item and limit item...

In SRM is it standard that you can create a local purchase order from the sourcing cockpit that contains a mix of limit items and standard items?
I know this can be done in R/3.

    Paul,
I am a functional/business person, and we are running SRM550 in extended classic, linking to ERP backed.
From our business point of view it makes little sense to mix a limit item with one or more standard catalog item. SAP standard SRM 550 actually stops our users from doing this.
For those who are not aware of the differences I will elaborate.
A standard item is either from a Free Text entry process with the process being completed by a professional purchaser or a catalog item either internal to SRM, or maybe from an external website.
Limit orders are value based and are mostly used for the payment of Utility bills, or for services. We don't use services at all.
In our business we use limit orders for an Electricity Bill for example.
When the user confirms a limit order the quantity should always be 1 and the user enters the value of the item.
The Invoice entry team then needs to match the Invoice to the GR line.  It's at this point that if you have Limit items and standard items mixed our invoice entry team could run into problems.
We are aware that it is not recommended practice for Limit orders to have GR and if you can avoid this step then you should.  Unfortunately our operating model insist on everything being confirmed and in the case of limit orders this can cause us invoice blocking issues.
Limit orders are normally set up to run for a full FY so the addition of standard catalog items to a limit order makes little or no business sense.
If a user added two limit items to a shopping cart for the same supplier our system would produce two PO's for the supplier to use.
We actually avoid transmitting Limit order details to our suppliers as this would indicate the maxiumum value they could invoice us for, businesses just don't do that.  We just send them the PO number and description of the item. This provides them with a PO Ref number to puton their invoices.
As we are still running SRM 550 maybe someone with SRM 7 knowledge would care to expand on this analysis?
    Hope this helps?
    Allen
PS We don't use the Sourcing Cockpit, just read your earlier response

  • MM-SUS-Invoice- ECS Scenario

    Hi Experts,
We have a client requirement for activating SUS functionality. The main objective is Suppliers should able to check their own Invoice Statuses which are created and posted in back end R/3.
We are using Extended Classic Scenario (SRM4.0 and ECC6.0).
My Doubts: I have come to know through some of my friends and SDN forums:
    1. To check Invoice status in SUS portal, the Invoice should have originated from SUS. Then only it is possible to check/find status from SUS portal.
    2. In Extended Classic Scenario, it is not possible to replicate PO's from R/3 to SUS portal.
    3. Is it part of SAP standard Scenario or purely custom development would be required.
If above 2 points are true, is there any alternate solution available for SUS usage for Invoices while using ECS scenario.
    Kindly advice.
    Regards,
    Karnati

    Hi Nikhil,
    Thanks for your response.
In my scenario, All POs are available in R/3 irrespective of whether it is created and posted in R/3 or it is replicated from SRM/EBP (ECS Scenario).
For this sake, I would like to go for MM-SUS implementation.
    My questions is:
    1. Can I send all PO's from R/3 to SUS ( POs created in R/3 + POs replicated from EBP/SRM).
    2. Can I get Invoice(Invoice with PO Reference) statuses to SUS, if Invoice is created and posted in R/3 with custom development.
    3. Can I get Invoice(Non-PO Invoice) status to SUS, if Invoice is created and posted in R/3.
Kindly response and help to understand more about what SUS can and can not do.
    Thanks,
    Karnati

  • Error in SUS with confirmation for service (MM-SRV)

    Hi everyone,
We are trying to configure the MM-SRV sceanrio in SRM 7 and ECC 6 Ehp 4.
We have a problem, when we send a Service PO from ECC to SUS, everything is fine. Then we make the Purchase Orde Responce (POR) and it is OK, but when we try to make the confirmation the system sends the error:
    Action has errors
You are not authorized to call this action.
You can continue with one of the following actions
    -Start Page
    -List of Purchase Orders
    -Display Purchase Order
We try assigning "SAP_ALL" to the user, but the error continues. Do you know what can be the issue?
    Thanks,
    Ivá

    Hi Ivan,
This a known SAP bug. Pl  implement below note.
Note 1263921 - Customizing entries required for SUS confirmation.
Once you run the program mentioned in the note, it would work.

  • Integration SUS with SAP Invoice Management

    Hi,
We are implementing the SUS portal (Supplier Self-Service) of SRM, together with SAP Invoice Management by OpenText. When you create an invoice in the SUS portal, it is send to the backend (ECC) as an IDoc of type INVOIC01.
We can read this IDoc into SAP Invoice Management (SIM), through the IDoc interface, for which we have mapped the data fields in the configuration of SIM. This works fine for most of the fields, but we have difficulties with two fields.
The SUS portal seems to put the ISO code of the unit of measurement (UOM) in the IDoc, but SIM expects the internal SAP UOM code. Similarly, the Service Entry Sheet number in the IDoc is only the external reference number, and not the internal SES number (which SIM needs).
Is there any way to configure these fields (either in SUS or SIM), without having to make a conversion function module? I ask this question, because my client is really hesitant when requesting to make a development....
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions that you make!
    Kind regards, Paul

    Hi Paul,
If there is no way to change it in SUS (which I don't know as I don't know SUS), then I don't think there is an option other than using a own development for the conversion. Either using a conversion function module or using a custom business rule which does the conversion.
Do you use the standard delivered function module /OPT/DP_INBOUND_IDOC_PROC as the processing FM? If not, maybe you could do the conversion in the processing FM (provided you already use a custom processor).
    Regards,
    Martin

  • Status In Process remains in PO SUS with POR

    Hello.
    We have SRM 5.0 SP12.
We have the next issue in scenario PO EBP-SUS:
In SUS, when we made a POR and we changed date u201CConfirmed foru201D (date in future), the
system does not conserve the status u201CConfirmedu201D; this status is changes
    by u201CIn Processu201D.
With POR without change in dates there is no problem.
I think the POR is awaiting approval by the date change. But I do not need this.
Please we needed to solve this issue and changed the PO whit status u201CIn
    processu201D to u201CConfirmedu201D in SUS.
    Regards,
    Raúl Hernández

    Thanks Khan
Here they are the situation we have detected and that is causing us problem.
    1.     When POR is created at SUS and the date from u201CCONFIRMED FORu201D is changed  (even with future dates) the status u201CConfirmedu201D change to u201CIn Processu201D.
When the date at POR is not updated or changed, the status still as u201Cconfirmedu201D
    2.     At SRM transaction BBPMAININT, when the check box u201CERSu201D from the vendor record, in the tab u201CVENDOR DATAu201D is active; the status of POR at SUS change from u201CConfirmedu201D to u201CIn Processu201D. This change of status  is  causing us errors into the operation.
    3.     On the other hand,  when the  check box  u201CERSu201D is inactive ; the status u201CCONFIRMEDu201D of POR  at SUS is maintained. This is the result we are expecting.
What do you suggest us to do to keep the status u201CCONFIRMEDu201D in the POR at SUS when the check box u201CERSu201D is active eventhough  the date being changed?
We believe that Inactive the Check box u201CERSu201D is not an option due to it is required  into the process of the Purchase order  confirmation  in R/3

  • Bid from scratch  with ECS ?

    Hi....Christophe )
Case without SC with bid invitation from scratch :
If scenario is ECS and if i complete the PO in SRM, will the system copy the po to R/3 ?
    Kind regards,
    Yann

    Hello Yann,
congratulations for your first question !!!
Here is an extract of online doc:
In the case of bid invitations that are created manually, purchase orders are local only (product category is not relevant). In the case of direct material purchase orders, a copy (that cannot be changed) is created in the backend. Whether or not it concerns direct material needs to be stated in the item details in the bid invitation. You must specify the goods recipient and purchasing group. Also:
    - Outline levels can be displayed in a local purchase order
    - Bid invitation texts, bid texts, and documents are transferred to the purchase order (however not internal notes).
So no ECS seams possible, but I guess that using some BADI, we could emulate this scenario (changing subtype, backend system, backend data, etc...).
    Rgds
    Christophe
