SRM 7 logoff takes up to two minutes

We have installed a SRM 7 system in a sandbox-environment but when pressing the logoff button it can take up to two minutes for users to logoff, any ideas why?

Markus: System is quite good sized I would say, it´s not "slow" in other regards when using it. It´s a 64-bit system running Linux and MaxDB, it´s installed in a Vmware-environment running 4 CPUs and a lot of memory and system is idling. Disks are on a fast SAN. I don´t think this is hardware related.
How much memory have you assigned to the database (CacheSize)?
What are your database I/O times (DB50 - Task manager - press on the 'clock' button and switch on the DBanalyzer)
Any other ideas?
We had a basis consultant on-site a few weeks ago and he said, that he knows many customers switching back from VMWare environments for their production systems to bare metal for the frontend services (including BSP and WD-ABAP) because the rountrips created by the programs are, due to the nature of them, much slower. I can't comment on that because we don't run SAP systems under VMWare but it makes sense.

Perhaps a login items issue.
Open System Preferences - Accounts then select the Login Items tab.
Delete all items by clicking then click -
If there's nothing listed there, go to /Library/Startup Items. Move any files in the Startup Items folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.

Launch the Console utility and look for messages that might explain the problem. Look for messages with a significant time gap between them. If you see such a thing but don't know how to interpret it, post the messages here and someone may be able to explain them.

I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. In your library, right-click the song you want to edit.
select "get info".
go to "options" and select the start and stop times for your first section of the song.
click "OK".
Find the shortened version of the song in your library. It may take a minute for it to show up. right click it again and select "create (????) version". (the ???? is different for different formats).
The library will spit out a new, second version of the song which you can rename. I suggest you use the original title and add a 1 to the end.
Now you can go back to the other version and repeat the process with a different start/stop time.
Once you are done editing, you can burn all of your versions to a disk, just make sure your interval time is zero so there are no gaps between edits.
To keep the orginal song on your library, just go back to the original and put the start/stop times back to the original settings.

I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.

Renaming Tracks Freezes iTunes for Two Minutes

I am not sure if this is an iTunes 8, Windows XP (I suspect so), or an iPhone 2.2 software issue.
When renaming audio tracks in a playlist on iPhone 3G, for instance by adding a zero in order to
correct a sequence of tracks in a playlist
iTunes freezes for about two minutes.
I assume this is the time it is taking to sync the change, although, there is no other indicator
that there is a syncing process going on.
This may also be a similar symptom to: iTunes 8x (Windows XP) seems to take an inordinate
amount of time to recognize the iPhone after plugging into the USB2 port.

My hard drive only got two months, and Mavericks always work fine. I got a Macbook Pro I7 with 8gb ram and 1gb of hard drive. Yosemite installation always crash after one or two minutes.And said scripts cannot save in the .OSInstallSandboxPathfolder, 'because there's a file with the same name.

From your post it looks like perhaps the installer file did not download properly. I'd like you to please delete the current installer from your launchpad, and then download the installer again from the Mac App Store.
Enter Launchpad.
Click and hold on an icon until you see all icons jiggle.
Click the "x" button in the upper-left of the Mac App Store app icon you want to delete.
Note: If you do not see an "x" button, either the app is not from the Mac App Store or you are logged in as a standard user.
Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog to delete the app.

Photoshop doesn't do a "memory test".
When Photoshop says "measuring memory" during startup, it is asking the OS how much RAM is available and what hard disks are available for scratch disks.
If you have network volumes mounted that are unavailable, then the OS may take a while to time out on accessing those drives.
The same goes if you have a bad USB drive connected.

My podcasts stop every two minutes - how can I fix?

I'm hoping someone may be able to suggest how I can fix this annoying problem:
When I listen to podcasts on my iPod nano, they stop every two minutes. I have to then press wake button and then the play button. Then it stops again after about two minutes as if it had gone to sleep. So I repeat the above steps ad infinitum. Only had it a few days and don't think this is normal or know how to fix or if should take it in for a serviceperson to look at. Can anyone with similar experience or any advice please respond. The most likely problem is that the headset jack is not fully inserted. With the 1.1 update,there is a feature that senses when a headset is inserted. If there is not one, it pauses playback when the screen goes dark to preserve battery life.
Many folks have had an issue with not fully inserting the headset. When the headset is fully seated, you will hear and feel it click into position. You should not be able to see ANY of the silver of the plug when the headset jack is fully inserted, if you can, it is not in far enough. If you have have pushed it in as far as you can - as hard as you can, then there may be debris in there. Any debris could cause this, since the sensor that tells the nano that the headset is seated is at the bottom of the hole for the headset jack

Module ContrentSwitch 3 command takes more than a minute to respond

I have two CAT 6509 switches with a CSM module in slot 3 in SW1 and a CSM module in slot 8 in SW2.
From the router config when I type - module ContentSwitch 3 on MSFC in SW1 - it takes more than a minute to get the CSM config prompt.
Then every command I type - eg, vlan 46 client - takes about a minute to respond.
This happens only on CAT 6509 SW1. On the other CAT 6500 - SW2 - which has the CSM in slot 8 - when I say - at router config prompt - module ContentSwitch 8 - I get an immediate response with the csm config prompt and every command I type I get immediate response.
One CAT 6500 number Sw1, I did a reset 3 at the CatOS prompt and tried again. Same problem, Could it be a H/W problem on this CSM in this CAT6509. The CSM versions of the two CSMs in the two CAT6509 are 4.1(3) and the MSFCs in the two CAT6509 are 12.1(2)E.
It can't be version problem because the two CSMs and the two MSFCs in the two CAT 6509 have the same versions. Tomorrow I will replace the CSM in the problem CAT6509 and try again.
I have configured one CSM and I need to configure this other CSM whick takes more than a minute to respond to commands and so I gave up after I typed 3 or 4 commands.
Any suggestions please?

IBook G4 cursor disappears after two minutes.

On a early 2004 G4 iBook (1.2 ghz) the cursor disappears two minutes after booting. I have enought time to do one disc utility repair before the cursor vanishes. The reults of the repair were minor permissions repairs to library items. Booted with battery only and with A/C, but get same results.

You have the original installation and restore discs? These would be Mac OS X 10.3.x (most often 10.3.5).
You don't have the installation disc for Mac OS X 10.4? This is what you would need to attempt a repair of the hard drive.
Have you tried starting up in Safe Mode? This will take quite awhile longer than a normal startup because it does a file check and repair of the hard disk.
You will see your normal desktop. Once completely started up in Safe Mode, restart normally, and go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Click on the top hard drive icon in the left sidebar and note the S.M.A.R.T. status at the bottom right of the pane. What does it say?
Select the named boot volume in the left sidebar ("Macintosh HD" unless you've renamed it). What is the hard drive capacity and how much space remains available on it? Repair permissions on it.
It sounds like there could be a problem with the hard drive. See if a little hard drive maintenance alleviates the problem.
