  • SRM and SAP DMS Content server integration.

    Hi Sap Gurus,
We are having a requirement to maintain the External documents (relating to Shopping Cart and POs) of SRM in the DMS content server,
is this possible? if so what is the methord that should be used to connect SRM and DMS Content server.
    please eloborate.
also we would love to make use of DMS funtionality for maintaining documents in SRM, which i tought is not at all possible as we could not run any of the DMS Transaction in SRM like CV01N /2 /3/ 4, is there any way to integrate DMS and SRM.
    Points Awaiting for usefull answers.
    Thanks and Kind Regards
    Priya S

    Hi Priya,
If i understand your question correctly you want to transfer documents which are attached at the shopping cart level in SRM to flow in to ECC at PR or PO level? If that the case following steps require to have documents flow into ECC.
    SRM Side:
Implement BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW (If you are on classic scenario i.e. Shopping cart to PR creation) or BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW (For extended classic) with following code:
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
    cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
    ECC Side:
-Create new document type for SRM with T.code DC10. Following parameters need to be set for that
    a.     Check Use KPro
    b.     Check Version Assignment
    c.     Check Change Docs
    d.     Assign Internal number range as u201C02u201D and external number range as u201C01u201D
    e.     Select Number Exit u201CMCDOKZNRu201D
    f.     Version number increment u201C1u201D
    g.     File Size u201C10000000u201D
    -     Assign following Object links to the new created document type u201CSRMu201D.
    a.     Type as u201CSRMu201D
    b.     Object as u201CEBANu201D and u201CEKPOu201D respectively
    c.     Object description as u201CPurchase req. itemu201D and u201CPurchase order itemu201D respectively
    d.     Screen number u201C247u201D for EBAN and u201C248u201D for EKPO.
    - Request basis to verify DC30 transaction code that all the necessary document type are allowed to x'fer (i.e. .doc, .xls , .jpg etc)
With this setting we were able to successfully transfer document from SRM side to ECC side.
    Thanks

  • URGENT : MS SQL Server and SAP BW 3.5 Connection problem....

    Hello All,
    How ya all doin ?
I got job as a fresher, and now we are facing some problem here with
the datasource creation / generation. We have already generated views
& DSs for some tables, for some views we can see the data in the
datasource in the BW datasources but for some views it is giving
information NO DATA IN THE TABLE for that we can see the data in the
DB Table in MS SQL Server using select ......
Kindly help with this issue as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance....
    Best Regards....
    Sankar Kumar

    Hello Sankar,
    Thanks...
For Varchar(500) you can try this way.
When you are getting data from DBConnect, include that VARCHAR(500) field in view (so this includes this field to be in transfer structure). But don't map any transfer rules for this field (This avoids the problems to be raised by DB Connect).
Create a Start Routine in the Transfer Rules. In this routine, you can access your VARCHAR(500) field. (I don't know what is your requirement for VARCHAR(500) field with respect to reporting perspective.)
One way is create 9 InfoObjects with char(60). Then parse the varchar(500) field and assign to InfoObject1, InfoObject2 so on....
Another way is, create a table using se11. With key fields to identify individual comments, comment Line number and actual comment. Parse varchar field and insert into this table. Based on your requirement either create a generic extractor using this table and load the data into ODS. Then you can join this ODS and rest of the data ODS and display. or write an ABAP program to show as report using this table...
    Hope this helps,
    GSM.

  • Entourage and OS 10.5.3 update problems

Greetings any and all. I am using Office 2004 with Entourage 11.4.0. I just installed the latest OS 10.5.3 update and now Entourage is kicking me out constantly and I have to relog in every time I have to use it. I'm using here at work on our server. Never had this issue before, anyone else having any problems like this with the new update?

Since Entourage is not an Apple product, you should consider posting your question on Microsoft's own forums for Entourage as they would be geared more toward the issue than an Apple forum that focuses on Apple's own Mail and Address Book applications.

You may also want to search the Entourage Help Page to see if it's covered there:

  • Master Data in SAP SRM and SAP ECC

    Hi all,
I have the following question: after I create a vendor in SAP ECC and, than, I replicate it in SAP SRM (through transaction BBPGETVD):
    1. if I modify all field of vendor on SAP ECC, is there an
authomatic way which update vendor data on SAP SRM, or
it is possible only through BBPUPDVD transaction?
    2. if I modify all field of vendor on SAP SRM, is there an
authomatic way which update vendor data on SAP ECC, or is it possible through some transaction? If yes, what is it?

    Hi Maria,
You can execute BBP_VENDOR_GET_UPDATE_JOB report using SA38 txn. to automatically replicate vendors from R/3 to SRM.
Schedule a back ground job for this report depending upon the frequency of update that is every day or every hour based on your requirement.
The report BBP_VENDOR_SYNC automatically synchronizes the backend vendors with the SRM system.
Make the Global settings for vendor replication and synchronization in SPRO
SPRO -- > IMG ---> Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server -->Technical Basic Settings -->Settings for Vendor Synchronization --> Make Global Settings
There is no automatic way for updating vendors in R/3 after making changes in SRM.
Hope this makes you more clear. Clarifications are welcome.
    Award points for helpful answers.

  • How do I know if I have a wifi problem with my new iPad 3 (it seems very slow) and how does one address the problem with apple if there is one?

I just read about the possible issue that some folks are having with their new iPad wifi (my seemed to be running very slowly but I thought that perhaps it was just me overreacting).  How do I know if I have a definite problem, and what is my recourse?  Do I need to take it to an Apple store for testing?  I have apple care which I assume addresses stuff like this.  Thoughts?  Thx so much.

Your iPad is covered by the normal warranty for one year. If you have AppleCare that extends the coverage. If you feel there is a problem with your wifi reception visit an Apple store with your iPad for a consultation. Be sure to make an appointment before you go.

  • Leapord and DVDSP 4.2.1 update problem?

I post this to see if there is anyone else having the same problem before I go through the un-install and the re-install process. I have a project that was created before the update. I opened the project this morning to find the that the video track for some reason would not play while the audio track did. I was able to unlink the video track remove it and then place the same file back into the project and it is working now. I have tried this on a couple of projects and I am trying to see if this is something that may have cropped up for others. Thank you in advance.

  • SAP Office Integration Excel 2013 problem - dummy window pops up with inplace

Hi experts all around the globe,
we are facing a strange problem by some of our users since they have installed Excel 2013 on their PCs. An annoying Excel sheet pops up while generating an excel file in the background.
They are working with several Y (or Z if you like it better so) transactions, and create multiple Excel files (Excel.Sheet.8 -> .xls) in the background. The programs are using Office Integration (interfaces I_OI_CONTAINER_CONTROL and I_OI_DOCUMENT_PROXY) to create the files.
Method OPEN_DOCUMENT is called with the parameter OPEN_INPLACE, modified, and then closed with the CLOSE_DOCUMENT method, then saved with SAVE_DOCUMENT_TO_URL. The document gets only assigned to a dummy container, this means under normal circumstances the user shouldn't see anything - the file gets created, modified and stored in the background - end of the story. The programs are like 10 years old, and have been doing good since then.
Now some of our users reported, that they have an issue when generating Excel files with those programs. We have investigated / debugged, and here is the thing: in several cases when the method OPEN_DOCUMENT is called, an empty worksheet pops up (see attached screenshot). It also gets in focus, and then in 1 sec is it closing again (as the CLOSE_DOCUMENT is called). This is really annoying when the user has to generate hundreds of Excel sheets (it is quite often the case). The window gets opened and closed with every single file that gets created.
We have tried to identify the problem, but it is user independent, the SAP GUI, Office and Windows versions seem to be all the same - though it appears by some users. The most of us work with SAP GUI 730 Patch level 4, but upgrade to Patch level 9 has also not solved the problem. We have found the notes 1908528 and 1804535. They address similar problems but not exactly the same. We think it has something to do with incompatibility of the releases, or simply an Office / SAP setting we could not think of.
Has someone encountered the same? Any ideas?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Boldi

    Hello Daniel,
thank you very much for your reply, it is really appreciated.
We have SAP GUI 7.30 Version 7300.3.9.1084 Build 1496147 Patch Level 9 on the test machine. This one should be the latest available version, am I right?
The issue is a little bit different from the ones described in the SAP notes you suggested. The data is getting "correctly" displayed inplace, but Excel is also getting called up in the same time, and an additional emtpy sheet is displayed, which gets in the focus, disturbing the user. It is just like described in the SAP notes 1425448 and 1567380
To 1425448 (Solution Point 2 below): this is our standard setting, and it does not help us.
To 1567380 (Prerequisites): there is no macro in our sheet.
We could reproduce the issue with the standard report SAPRDEMO_SPREADSHEET_INTERFACE (this is the one suggested in SAP note 1908528 - "Verifying that Excel inplace functionality is working correctly"). The SAP GUI overtakes the focus after a while, as described in the SAP note 1567380, but the empty sheet is active at first, and it is a little bit more than annoying.
How is it on your side, could you please run the standard report (EXCEL, checkbox for inplace set, then Enter) to confirm that the problem exists?
Thanks a lot in advance and have a nice day!

  • PO with status "Deleted" in SRM and status "Awaiting Approval" in BW

    Hi,
Report Purchase Order status ( 0BBP_PO_Q007) on ODS 0BBP_PO shows status "Awaiting Approval" for Purchase Orders that have status "Deleted" in the SRM source system.
Any idea about an appropriate OSS note or other work around solution?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

    1) The PO data can be extracted from SRM or R/3 . But the advantage of extracting data from R/3 is that you have lot many other data while compared to SRM system . In case u are having SRM and Sap R/3 or ECC as your backend system , it is always better to  extract PO data from R/3 or ECC. In case your backend system is going to be other than SAP system , probably we can think of extracting data from SRM.
    2) GR and invoice data always have to be pulled from R/3 system
    3) Shopping cat details exist only in SRM and the details has to be extracted only from SRM .
Suggest to extract 1) shopping cart from SRM  2) PO,GR and Invoice from SAP R/3 or ECC.
    Hope above clarifies your questions
    Regards
    Mani

  • L2TP and fixed Framed IP Address for VPN user

    Hi,

  • Integrating SRM and Oracle using XI as middle layer

    Hi,
In our current scenario we are implementing stratagic sourcing, operational procurement in SRM 5.0 with backend as Oracle E-business suite using XI as integration layer.
As i have seen SAP config guides in all acenario's are there between SRM and SAP system as backend. But in our scenarion we have Oracle as backend system.
If i follow the config guides EBP part in SPRO defining backend systems i need to give RFC destination of the backend SAP system.Suppose if it is Oracle then how can i define my backend systems with RFC destination.
How can i define RFC destination, logical system name for my backned Oracle.
Is there any specific SAP documentation and config guide which says about configuration if my backend is non-sap system(Oracle).
I went through all the messages in this forum .All are talking about backend as R/3.
We are implementating SRM 5.0 with Oracle as backend.
Can you send me any documenation and config guides if any one did this type implementation.
<b>Note: I have all config guides if R/3 is backend</b>
    regards
    Usman

    Hi Usman,
to integrate non R/3 backend, you have to define your OA system as a backend in SRM, with the backend type NON SAP SYSTEM 1 to 3, and an RFC destination.
Between SRM and OA, you will need a gateway, an EAI, that will handle your interfaces. In your case this is XI.
You can use the XI RFC adapter, with a TCPIP RFC destination, targeting XI via a registered program ID.
Then depending on your scenario (classic, extended, standalone), you will be more or less integrated with this non SAP backend.
To communicate with a backend, SRM uses the concept of META BAPIs: each backend call is backend type dependant.
You will have to work on each META call from SRM (have a look a table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP, with backend type = Non SAP system).
Each backend RFC call will have to be evaluated and designed (ex: do you enable backend accounting check).
The more integrated scenario you select, the more integration work you will have.
Usually, for OA integration, we use a standalone scenario with some specific replication of PO, GR.
You could use the extended classic scenario, but this will require more integration points.

  • PO in SRM and R/3- How to  distinguish

    Hi all:
we have SRM and R/3 and we do reporting in BW.
i know lot of BW and i am trying to catch with up with EBP now.
aswe know a SC is created in SRM, it gets (may/maynot) approved.
in our case once it gets approved although a PO is created in SRM we replicate that PO in R/3 and GR and Invoice are generated in R/3. i am clear till this part.
Q 1.  instead of extracting R/3 PO's to BW can i use SRM PO's directly(my source system is defined already)
Q 2. But my Invoices are created in R/3. so, can i only pull invoices data from R/3 and the rest from SRM.
    Thanks
    Kavi.
i will assign points for useful answers

    Mani

  • Establishing a connection between SAP SRM and MM

    Dear All,
I am working  for a multi-national company  and now we are thinking to implement SAP SRM  but I have some questions about  communication between SAP MM and SRM. Firstly I want  so share with you our as-is status and then my doubts and question that I have.
In our case we have two different locationed organizations which are using different version of SAP system and SAP MM. In this  two sap system mostly codes are  and descriptions are different for  all materials and  now we want  gather all data and we want to have  one global code system and (local code also will remain). I mean we want  to call same materials with one global unique code instead of two different codes. We  are thinking to implement  something like coding center that will take local master data from local organization then will assign global code, update table then  with somehow will update SAP SRM.
    For example:
We have local  master data on R/3 is maintained manually by local user and net item is created locally each country by local user.Coding center will be aware of new creation by mail, automatically. Coding center will update table (adding a new row for each new item) on translator (tool for assigning global code for materials) assign to each new item a global code and category and in this way SRM will be updated automatically based on translator.
I am thinking to develeop a tool (excel, access… etc.) that will take new item creation manually or auto from local organization  then will assign a global code and category then will update SAP SRM automatically
Regarding to  tool I have some questions:
    1)     which are the standard communication channel between R/3 and SRM or How  they can speak with each other ?
    2)     Is there any standart batch file (BI or BAPI)  to be able to perform this.Is it possible to develop tool using excel or access …etc. which will manage coding task.
    3)     When we are trasferring for the first time Master Data from MM to SRM is there any standard transaction?
    4)     how the two MD are aligned (i.e. what if a new item is created or modified on MM)?
    5)     standard program (transaction) for aligning  available ?
    6)     ) how this process can be triggered (scheduled using SAP scheduler, event or user driven)
    7)     Where the translator  (tool) should be (R/3 local, SRM, BW, other) --> Enrichment table
    8)     How we can build the communication transaction?
    Thank you very much
Any comments and answers will appreciated and rewarded
    Regards,

    Hi,
Have you considered using CCM. You generally use an industry standard code (perhaps UNSPSC) in CCM as your vendors would all have different number (similar to your scenario). CCM is a plug-in to SRM, supplied by SAP.
The authoring tool is where you can enrich your catalogue, and have approval dependant on rules that you setup. In your case you would possibly have a catalogue per locationed organisation (or R/3 system). These would then be mapped to a master catalogue, and assigned to users as views. This tool is a BSP on SRM. You could also upload these catalogues from Excel (as a CSV) or through XI as XML. We use the automatic transfer of materials from R3 and then there is a report in SRM to feed that through to the catalogue.
The only thing that needs to be thought through is how you feed the selected catalogue item back to the differing R3 systems, but this shouldn't be a stumbling point.
    Cheers
    Rob
