SRM  and XI Integration

hi,
can anyone provide me some good links, docs and blogs about SRM XI integration please.
and what would be the scenarios with SRM integrations?I mean are they like
SAP SRM -XI-R/3(or ECC)
SAP SRM -
XI----non SAP systems(i have read onb sdn SUS,EBS systems)
non SAP---XI---SAP SRM
SAP r/3(or)ECC--XI--SAP SRM?
what we need to use on SRM side (sender/Receiver)are they Idocs/RFC/proxies?and what we need to use on SAP R/3 side and thirdparty systems?
please clear me?
thank you,
babu

Hi Babu
SAP deliver a lot of XI contents for SRM.
For this have a look at service.sap.com/xi --> Business content --> SAP XI Content --> XI content delivered by SAP --> mySAP SRM
Also refer this realtive thread from jin shin
Re: Http server code 401 reason Unauthorized explanation Unauthorized
There are business package available for the standard SRM and XI integration. For this you can download from the service market place and you can make use of the standard SAP delivered objects.
Most of the time senario involves Idoc/RFC and Proxy here
Some of the docs from SAP service market place are-

  • Integrating SRM and Oracle using XI as middle layer

    Hi,
In our current scenario we are implementing stratagic sourcing, operational procurement in SRM 5.0 with backend as Oracle E-business suite using XI as integration layer.
As i have seen SAP config guides in all acenario's are there between SRM and SAP system as backend. But in our scenarion we have Oracle as backend system.
If i follow the config guides EBP part in SPRO defining backend systems i need to give RFC destination of the backend SAP system.Suppose if it is Oracle then how can i define my backend systems with RFC destination.
How can i define RFC destination, logical system name for my backned Oracle.
Is there any specific SAP documentation and config guide which says about configuration if my backend is non-sap system(Oracle).
I went through all the messages in this forum .All are talking about backend as R/3.
We are implementating SRM 5.0 with Oracle as backend.
Can you send me any documenation and config guides if any one did this type implementation.
<b>Note: I have all config guides if R/3 is backend</b>
    regards
    Usman

    Hi Usman,
to integrate non R/3 backend, you have to define your OA system as a backend in SRM, with the backend type NON SAP SYSTEM 1 to 3, and an RFC destination.
Between SRM and OA, you will need a gateway, an EAI, that will handle your interfaces. In your case this is XI.
You can use the XI RFC adapter, with a TCPIP RFC destination, targeting XI via a registered program ID.
Then depending on your scenario (classic, extended, standalone), you will be more or less integrated with this non SAP backend.
To communicate with a backend, SRM uses the concept of META BAPIs: each backend call is backend type dependant.
You will have to work on each META call from SRM (have a look a table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP, with backend type = Non SAP system).
Each backend RFC call will have to be evaluated and designed (ex: do you enable backend accounting check).
The more integrated scenario you select, the more integration work you will have.
Usually, for OA integration, we use a standalone scenario with some specific replication of PO, GR.
You could use the extended classic scenario, but this will require more integration points.

  • MDM integrity between SRM and R/3

    Hi All,
How MDM integrity of the process validations being made between SRM and R/3 for the creation of different documents.
Please share me any documents regarding MDM intergirty between SRM and R/3. This is not related to Catalogs,
    1. Creation of documents like GOA in SRM and distributed to R/3. How MDM will validate that data.
2 If same material available in different backend system. while creating Contract in SRM, MDM should check the R/3 materials in MDM

  • Integration between SRM and ERP in part of Business Partners

    Hi all
Could we make integration between SRM and ERP in part of Business Partners if we use Standalone Scenario? Thanks

    Hi
Any scenario, You have EBP system as well as you said you have ERP system too. so you can do BBPGETVD and pull the vendor records. Normally standalone system may not have ERP system. In standalone Your account payable system integrated with your EBP system.
If you want to create a vendors locally in SRM  you can create local vendors via web  BBPMAININT or BP in GUI.

  • SRM and SAP DMS Content server integration.

    Hi Sap Gurus,
We are having a requirement to maintain the External documents (relating to Shopping Cart and POs) of SRM in the DMS content server,
is this possible? if so what is the methord that should be used to connect SRM and DMS Content server.
    please eloborate.
also we would love to make use of DMS funtionality for maintaining documents in SRM, which i tought is not at all possible as we could not run any of the DMS Transaction in SRM like CV01N /2 /3/ 4, is there any way to integrate DMS and SRM.
    Points Awaiting for usefull answers.
    Thanks and Kind Regards
    Priya S

    Hi Priya,
If i understand your question correctly you want to transfer documents which are attached at the shopping cart level in SRM to flow in to ECC at PR or PO level? If that the case following steps require to have documents flow into ECC.
    SRM Side:
Implement BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW (If you are on classic scenario i.e. Shopping cart to PR creation) or BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW (For extended classic) with following code:
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
    cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
    ECC Side:
-Create new document type for SRM with T.code DC10. Following parameters need to be set for that
    a.     Check Use KPro
    b.     Check Version Assignment
    c.     Check Change Docs
    d.     Assign Internal number range as u201C02u201D and external number range as u201C01u201D
    e.     Select Number Exit u201CMCDOKZNRu201D
    f.     Version number increment u201C1u201D
    g.     File Size u201C10000000u201D
    -     Assign following Object links to the new created document type u201CSRMu201D.
    a.     Type as u201CSRMu201D
    b.     Object as u201CEBANu201D and u201CEKPOu201D respectively
    c.     Object description as u201CPurchase req. itemu201D and u201CPurchase order itemu201D respectively
    d.     Screen number u201C247u201D for EBAN and u201C248u201D for EKPO.
    - Request basis to verify DC30 transaction code that all the necessary document type are allowed to x'fer (i.e. .doc, .xls , .jpg etc)
With this setting we were able to successfully transfer document from SRM side to ECC side.
    Thanks

  • SRM and MDM for material master in SRM contracts for multiple R/3

    Dear all,
    my question is:
We are implementing SRM 4.0 in classic scenario with multiple R/3 back-end and we want to set-up Global Outline Agreements in SRM in a multi-backend environment where the Material Master are not harmonized.
We heard that MDM and COntent Integraton can be a solution.
    Then detailled question is:
Can we have 2 material numbers (e.g. ABC and XYZ) in 2 different R/3 systems refering the same product.
Have the mapping done in MDM (Content Integrator?) to a third material number:123
Replicating the material master 123 to SRM from MDM(?)
Create global Outline Agreements in SRM for Material Master 123.
Distribute the GOA as Outline Agreement to R/3 system 1 with the translation to ABC and to R/3 system 2 with the translation XYZ, all of that during the distribution step (or another).
Have the call-offs quantities correct on 123 in SRM and BW?
IF yes, how is it working, do you have some documentation discribing the scenario and the config steps to do?
    Thanks in avance

    Hello RD,
    That's a good question.
You are on the right way. MDM is the tool for you.
    But..
Content Integrator (CI) was first developped for Shell, to address the need of cross-referencing of material/supplier/category IDs, for:
    - reporting purpose (actual Spend Analysis)
    - mapping purpose (send of XML PO)
CI was later "fusionned" into the new MDM (1.0) solution.
So now, you can not order CI without MDM (even if some SRM slides still present CI).
But mapping API where developped for all inboud/outbound interfaces in SRM, for materials only (good luck for you).
You will find everywhere this piece of code:
      Call ECI
        CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PRODUCT_MAP'
          TABLES
            it_input          = lt_mapping_in
            et_output         = lt_mapping_out
          EXCEPTIONS
            logsys_not_found  = 1
            driver_not_found  = 2
            product_not_found = 3
            internal_error    = 4
            OTHERS            = 5.
So it is ok, you have the mapping call, but I don't know if all the rest of the process was really "finalized" (call of API mapping in CI, via XI). I personnaly never used it, but I assume it should work.
I my opinion your process is supported by SAP:
    - Extract materials from both R/3 and consolidate them as a single product in MDM.
    - Distribute this product into SRM.
    - Maintain contracts on those products.
    - Distribute them to R/3 (The ECI call is also used during contract distribution).
    - Call offs corrects in SRM and BW
For MDM documentation, look at netweaver area of service.sap.com.
For MDM/SRM integration, look at SRM 4.0 spend analysis:

  • XI content for SRM and CCM scenario - mapping

    Hi All,
We are using the standard business content for integrating SRM with CCM to update contract information from SRM to CCM. Both SRM and CCM are on the same system.
The configuration scenario used is MasterDataInclusionInCatalogOnWAS700 which is in the name space SAP CATALOG CONT.MGMT. 2.0_700 , http://sap.com/xi/CCM/CAT.
There are 2 interfaces being referred by this scenario: CatalogUpdateNotification_Out and this CatalogUpdateNotification_In and both the interfaces are pointing to the same meesage type CatalogTransmission but they are in different name spaces.
Once the scenario was configured there was no interface mapping available in the standard business content to map the above 2 interfaces.
    SAP SRM SERVER 5.5
    CatalogUpdateNotification_Out
    CatalogTransmission
    http://sap.com/xi/EBP
    SAP CATALOG CONT.MGMT. 2.0_700 ,
    CatalogUpdateNotification_In
    CatalogTransmission
    http://sap.com/xi/CCM/CAT
Is this the normal case and we need to develop our own mapping or is the standard content not imported correctly?
The service pack details are as follows:
    PI 7.0 SP level 14
    XI content
    u2022 SAP BASIS 7.00 - SP 14
    u2022 SAP CATALOG CONT.MGMT. 2.0_700 - SP 12
    u2022 SAP SRM SERVER 5.5 - SP 11
    u2022 SAP ABA 7.00 - SP 14
    Thanks,
    Shravan

ditto, anybody received a response from SAP with regards to this problem?
As suggested above, we could build our own mapping in XI but this would obviously be a modification to SAP standard which we would prefer to avoid.
    Regards, Kyle.
OK Received a response from SAP dated Oct. 9, 2008
I assume that you have installed NW 7.00 SP14 (or higher).
Within earlier versions the mapping from XML to ABAP was to lax.
The XML message was processed witout regarding the name of the root
element. This was fixed with SP14.
When you call an interface the XML message must match with the type
defined in the WSDL used for proxy generation.
Either the message or the WSDL used to generate the proxy seems to be
    wrong here.
Here is a work around should solve this problem until we make available in a standard note soon.
I will do it internally to our development team but I am sorry that i can not tell now when the note will be ready.
Disable the new check by adding the following entry in transaction sproxset
    -Name: ST_USE_LAX_ON
    -Value: X
    -User: <empty>
    -Inactive: <empty>

  • SRM  with HR integration

    Hi Experts,
We are currently Using  the SRM 4.0 with support pack 9 currently.  Till I recieved the requests from business for creation of SRM user access, so I am creating the SU01 data and intergrating to the Organization structure using Users_Gen.
As we do not have the Security and Admin part currently for creation of SU01 data, we SRM team only maintains directly in the system.
Now my querry is like  we have HR module implemented in the Project, so can we setup HR module integration with SRM whenever a user is created in the HR org structure  he will then also to be also created in SRM? Is that Possible. if so Central User Admin should be in place? or what does this CUA means.
is this Viable solution now and how complex it is now?
For all these setups what are the prerequisties and how to setup this HR integration with SRM? can any one suggest me.
    Regards
    Srujan K

    Hi,
HR replication from R/3 to SRM is carried out by following these steps:
1.) setting up the distribution model in SRM and R/3 for message type HRMD_ABA. You can set up number of filters in this message type, where you define HR infotypes, subtypes, object type and so on.
2.) Once you set up the distribution model, distribute the model.
3.) Report RHALEINI is used to replicate the distribution model from R/3 to SRM in the insert mode. (You can also use transaction code PFAL).
4.) Ongoing replication if performed in the update mode from R/3 to SRM will cause problems of users being broken in sporadic cases. It is advisable to use change pointers from BD14 to perform the ongoing replication.
There is an SAP documentation of EBP transports which explains in detail the replication.

  • SRM and XI

    Hi Experts,
I am currently going to work on SRM scenarios which will be Integrated with other systems via XI. I have already gone and still going through the documents provided by SAP and mentioned in different blogs in SDN, they are very useful.
Still I would like to request , it would be great if I can get a overview for this in a nutshell---
    like-
what are the most common scenarios  from SRM to XI, how the communication is done (via IDoc, file or Proxies)
what kind of data is sent by SRM system.
I am new to SRM  and as a PI consultant , your inputs will be very much helpful to me.

    Hi Sugata,
I worked on SRM Integration. Its like MM-SUS , EBP-SUS Standard Interfaces are there.
MM-SUS you will get the scenarios like IDOC-Proxy and Proxy -IDOC scenarios. first you have to download the XI Content from Service Market Place and import in to XI.
SRM Integration also like normal integration only. SRM side we have to make some changes , you can get in touch with SRM Consultant.
    Regards,
    Pasi.

  • SRM and DMS linkage

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    Hi SAP Gurus,
    1) How will we link DMS content server to the SRM server, like we do with SAP R/3 and content server.
the senario is the vendor has to see the documents stored in DMS along with other details in SRM
    and reply suitably,
right now SRM is using a concept called C-folder to communicate with vendors,
    2) is C-folders similar like WEB-DMS,
    3)  if for 1000s of vendor to access the documents of DMS these vendors should have SAP User ID and Password ?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kumar K
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kumar K
Edited by: Kumar K on Jul 2, 2008 1:24 PM

    Hi Kumar,
If the requirement is dat vendor wants to see documents stored in DMS along with other other details in SRM then you can go for object linking.
in DMS u can select or create a object for SRM which creates integration with SRM and then vice-versa u can see the documents in DMS or from SRM.
Yes..now SRM is using concept of c-Folders for communicating with vendors, since c-Folders has functionality of maintaining public and private collaboration scenarios so c-Folders is being used to communicate between Suppliers and Vendors.
c-Folders is not like webDMS, it is a separate application for which the link can be created from portal itself.
in c-Folders user ID and password can be created which need not have any licenses.
    Thank You,
    Manoj

  • SAP ECC, SRM and SNC integraton

    Hi everyone,
I want to know if we can integrate ECC, SRM and SNC. We don't want to use SUS, we want to use SNC. Is it possible to have this implementation? If yes, what is the correct technical scenario for SRM (Classic or Extended Classic)?
    Thanks,
    Ivá

    Hello Iván,
Regarding your first query, "What kind of changes we can do in SNC " --> As a vendor we can modify the PO quantity and PO delivery date only and update the same as POR. We cannot add any items in the PO.
Regarding your next query ," changes cannot be send to PO if we are in extended classic?"  --> i think we can send the changes to the SNC even in the extended classic scenario , but we need to then customize our system accordingly with regards to the document types used , vendor classification , idoc and xml mapping , etc.
We will be using some sort of SRM - SUS integration here in the extended classic.
Also changes can be synched between SRM - ERP - SNC. and we can have the extended classic with ASN creation in SNC.
    Best Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi there,
Have you applied any patches to 9ias since it was first installed? We had the same problem and had to apply a couple of patches to get the portlets working.
    1. Apply the 9.0.2.53.16 one-off patch for Oracle 9iAS Discoverer which takes Discoverer up to 9.0.2.53.16. This patch appears to be password protected and you need to get someone at Oracle support to give you a password.
    2. Apply the Discoverer Portlet Provider: 9.0.2.53.00c patch (patch no. 2595444) which gives you a new discportal.xsl file that actually works. It's this second step that solves your problem but you need to do step 1 before this. This is password protected as well.
    3. As you've upgraded Disco on the server to 9.0.2.53, you'll need to upgrade Disco Admin & Desktop within your 9iDS installation using patch no. 2555265. This is because Disco 9.0.2.53 uses an upgraded EUL that Disco Admin & Desktop need to be patched to use.
This was the course of action Oracle support advised us about nine months ago. Of course they may have released a further patch to Disco that does 1 & 2 in one go, but we regularly carry out steps 1 and 2 on servers we use and we can use the Disco portlets successfully.
    Hope this helps
