SRM: Bidding, PPAP and APQP.

Are there any tables for details of PPAP and APQP documents?

Hi Chris,
yes, the bidding and auction functionality is directly connected to the Sourcing Cockpit in Classic Scenario. That is standard. In order to be able to create a classic PO from Bidding / Auction, all you need is a shopping cart, you describe you have.

Claudia

  • Sending Bids from SRM to suppliers and receiving responses

    Hi Experts,
Help me with a suggestion for sending Bids from SRM to suppliers and receiving responses - preferably through email adapter.

    Sorry for the delay,
I have worked in a similar integration with SRM - XI, but the only difference is that we used Proxy -- HTTPS for Purchase Order Request.
In your case it would be:
    1. Create custom IDOC and Message type.
    2. Find the triggering process from the SRM side, trigger the IDOC from SRM.
    3. Generate the partner profile and ALE config.
    4. Import the custom IDOC in XI.
    5. Use a map in XI to convert the IDOC data to customer format.
    6. Use  HTTP adapter to connect.
    7. In the HTTP adapter you can use url method or the RFC destination to do the connectivity. ( I would recommend using the RFC destination to do it.)
    8. You should be receiving an acknowledgment from the customer when the document is posted at their end.
    9. The response is either 200 for successful transmission. It would be 400 or 500  for errors.
    10. Use the response message to do a message map with the mail adapter.
    11. Generate the content of the mail adapter using the message map.
    12. In the message map ideally you should use Value mapping to generate the   TO and FROM data. (This enables you to change the receipients while in development and production without changing the message mappinng program.)
    13. Use mail package in the Mail adapter to send the mail content to the business users.
    Hope this helps.

  • SRM BID over R/3 RFQ

Need to know the advantage of SRM Bid/Auction over R/3 RFQ
a.Can RFQs be converted to electronic format/files?
b.Are RFQs directly convertible to OAs or POs?
c.Can Suppliers be notified of ‘acceptance’ electronically from within SRM?  If so, would this require activation of the Supplier Portal?
d.R3 requires Vendor Codes for all RFQ participants – Does SRM allow RFQs to be sent to Suppliers without having to set up a Vendor Master Record?
e.Non-Material Coded ‘Text’ driven RFQs are particularly cumbersome in R3 – Does SRM offer any enhancements/advantages for these types of RFQs?

  • Transfering several PR's from R3 to one SRM bid invitation

    Good morning,
We are using Plan driven procurement and bidding with Extended classic
    scenario (SRM 5.0).
    Indicator IMG sourcing is
"Sourcing via automatic bid invitation for items without a source of
    supply"
Is it possible to transfer several PR's from R3 to one SRM bid
    invitation?
    Thanks in advance.
    Alexey

Thanks, i think it is possible whis IMG sourcing indicator:
"Automatic grouping and creation of a bid invitation in the case of items without assigned source of supply"
If a source of supply is not assigned, the report Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations automatically attempts to create a bid invitation from several requirement items. If is unable to do so, this is recorded in the error log of the report.

  • Status of Bid invitation and BID

    Hello All
What are  status ( ALL STATUS)  header / technical status of Bid Inviatation and Bid response existing  AND THEIR IMPORTANCE ?
    for example
    Bid Invitation
    created
    published
    Bid
    accepted
approved ( do we really require bid response approval)
    Muthu

    Hi,
    For Bid Invitation
    1. Held Bid
2.Awating Approval. --Bids are subjected to Approval
    3.Published.
I think created is not there
    For Bid
    1. Accepted
    2. Rejected
3.Unprocessed Bids --Bids submitted by the vendor  but due date is there for processing
In SRM 7.0 only Bid Response is there. In this supplier has to click the button stating whether he is participating in the Bid.

  • Interface programs of changing Bid Invitation and Quotation

I have a problem about changing Bid Invitation and Quotation in SRM.
I want to create custom applications including interface programs, so I think I have to call BAPI (Tr-cd:BAPI), Function Module (Tr-cd:SE37), or Enterprise Services (http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/esoa/docu_esoa_srm.htm).
I found "BidInvitationEC" and "SupplierQuotationEC" in SRM BAPIs, but each of BAPIs doesn't support changing method. (Only Create Method is supported.)
Please help us if you have a good solution.

    Thank you for your reply.
We are going to create our custom application inside SRM,
but we don't know which Functional Module we should use
to change Bid Invitation and Bid documents.
Please, tell me if you know a way to change these documents.

  • SRM Bidding

Is it possible to create an ECC Schedule Agreement  from SRM Bidding..?

    Hi,
You can follow a workarond as below to create a scheduling agreement in the ECC system.
In SRM bidding, create a central contract.
Distribute the central contract to the concerned ECC system. While distributing the central contract to backend system, you have the option of choosing contract or scheduling agreement to be created in ECC system.
    I hope, it helps you.
    Thanks and regards,

2)You need to cehck in the SRm system not in the ECC server. They are in your SRm system not in ECC system.
login to SRM system and goto Transaction RSA5 activated the data sources, then you can see them in transaction RSA6.

  • Not All RFx Data Extracted to "0BBP_BID" ODS (SRM - Bidding Engine)

    Hi Expert,
I'm now working on an SRM Reporting in SAP BW especially Bidding Engine Reporting.  I have installed the Business Content of Bidding Engine and do extraction to the InfoProviders.
The problem is at ODS "0BBP_BID" not all RFx or Bid Invitations data extracted.  After I investigate the issue I found out that the data that not extracted is the data with Process Type (RFx Type) Z* (User Defined).
Is there any setting that I have to do so the Process Type "Z*" can be extracted to the ODS?
Please help and give us some solution.
    Thanks,
    Gilang

    John
First of all with out having user ID and password it is not possible for bidders to enter SRM system to submit bids. So Business partners have to be created in SRM with contact person(Bidder) details.
You can try one thing. It is just my thought and I dont know how far it will be viable. I never tried.
Create a dummy business partner(vendor) in SRM and create many contact persons ie one for each vendor with their ID/password and email address. Then select all vendors(like receiving multiple bids from same vendor) and send the bid invitation.
Bidders will login and submit the bids. Then buyer will see the bids from all vendors (actually from one vendor but with different contact persons).
Then buyer can decide on the winning bid and then create a business partner for the winning bid and continue with the purchase activities.
With this you can avoid creating many business partners at the time of creating bid invitations.
Other alternative is, if you dont want to create ID and passwords for Bidders then send tender details to all vendors off line via e-mail and ask them to send the price to Buyer offline.

  • SRM 7.0 and SRM MDM Installation query

    Hi,
I have installed Both AS ABAP and AS JAVA Stack separately and going forward I need to know
    1) Do I need to install any other servers other than this like EP and PI etc?
    2) I also wanted to install SRM MDM, for that I have gone through some documents and threads and found that
    Prerequisites
    1. SRM Server- Installed with ORACLE database
    2) For SRM MDM
Ø        Download the SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 installable from Market Place-- Done
Ø         Install the MDM Server and other GUI Clients--Done
Ø     UnArchive the SRM-MDM repository available with the installables only
                         Need help for
. Not able to find DBMS server
                 . User
                   . Password for DBMS setting
Ø      Deploy the two SCA files - MDMJavaAPI and SRMMDMCAT on WAS and restart the Portal- Done
Ø        Access the Config UI by using the URL http://:/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM and change the layout as per the requirement. In this you can specify the fields to be displayed for Search, type of UI etc for the particular user
. Where I can get the "Port"
Will follow the below steps once the above issues are resolved
*Create the Web Service in SRM system and specify all the required
parameters. You should get the SRM-MDM configuration guide from Market
    Place.
*Change the Org Plan in SRM to assign the Catalog to the SRM users.
*Login into EBP and select SHOP, you should get the SRM-MDM Catalog link
if all the configurations are there in place.)

           4) In the market place I have found that SRM MDM install.exe and in that there are two options to execute. Install MDM

As you have already installed Java stack then it will be your EP. You don't need PI for SRM MDM.

The DBMS Server property defines the network identification string of the DBMS instance / machine / server that is used by the DBMSspecific client on the MDM Server machine to connect to the DBMS. The brand of DBMS on which the repository is running is shown in the DBMS Type property.
NOTE ►► When you mount two MDM repositories with the same name (but located on different DBMS Servers) on the same MDM Server, MDM distinguishes them in the Console Hierarchy pane by appending the name of the DBMS Server in angular brackets to the repository name (e.g. u201Crepository <server>u201D).

  • SRM MDM Installation and Configuration

    Hi,
I have been asked to install/configure SRM MDM. Ive gone through lot of documentation on SAP service marketplace and am struggling to understand the components I need to install.
I have SRM system already installed and the customer wants to use SRM MDM 5.5.
I was going through the Architecture guide and what I understood from it is that I will have to install the MDM 5.5 Server, clients, a database and a WAS. Now that SMR is already in place do I still have to install WAS on the MDM system ? will the MDM sever use the SRM systems WAs and database ?
    Regards,
    Hasnain

    Hi Hasnain,
MDM is a "stand-alone" component. You do not need a separate WAS.
You need a database instance (the usual SAP supported Databases work) and the MDM Software.
The MDM Client Software (Import Manager, Console, Clix, Workflow, Data Manager) must run on Windows Client. As far as I know the MDM Server can also run on Unix.
For searching the MDM Catalog you need a SAP J2EE (Java) Instance. If you have a EP running this will work for the beginning.
