How to upload Master Catalog Schema in Catalog Content Management SRM

Hi All,
Please provide the solution as we are in real trouble.
We have to delete master catalog and upload it again. Deletion is done because the mapping and all are being corrupted. SAP has suggested to delete the catalog and again upload it and do all the mapping again related to supplier and procurement catalog.
Can all of you guide us what to do:
1. How to delete a existing Master catalog (can de-publish will do it?)?
2. We have the master catalog schema with us. Please tell how to upload this schema. Which link we have to follow?
3. After uploading the master schema how we can check that master catalog is working fine.

I am contacting you regarding the same problem with the CCM MASTER CATALOG, as Praveen said, SAP has suggested to delete the catalog and again upload it and do all the mapping again related to supplier and procurement catalog.
I have read the documents that you refer to at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/7f/9b62405c910272e10000000a155106/frameset.htm.
In this link I found information really useful, however according to the document the CCM MASTER CATALOG should be created automatically by the SAP Catalog Authoring Tool, this happends the first time that you are using the system.
Catalog Creation
You use this function to create catalogs in SAP Catalog Authoring Tool.
You can create the following types of catalogs:
Supplier catalogs
Procurement catalogs
Model service catalogs
Note
SAP Catalog Authoring Tool creates the master catalog, the SRM product catalog, SRM contract catalogs, and the contract catalog for service specifications automatically.
When SAP Catalog Authoring Tool is used for the first time, you must open the Edit Catalogs application once, before you create any catalogs. Choosing Edit Catalogs triggers the creation of the master catalog. If you do not do this, SAP Catalog Authoring Tool outputs an error message when you try to create a catalog.
We have already the Master Schema and we know how to map the CCM MASTER CATALOG to the supplier and procurement catalogs. The main problem is that we need to delete the CCM/MASTERCATALOG and created again.
1. How delete the CCM/MASTERCATALOG?
In a Test enviroment I have delete the CCM/MASTERCATALOG using the "Edit Catalogs" mode then choosing the catalog and confirm the deletion.
Once this has been done, all the catalogs has been erased including the CCM/MASTERCATALOG, so now we have the system in blank. I am not sure if this is the correct way to delete the catalog or there is an easiest way where the Procurement and supplier catalogs dont dissapear once the CCM/MASTERCATALOG is deleted.
2. Once the CCM/MASTERCATAOG is deleted how to created again?
According to the instructions the SAP Catalog Authoring Tool should created this automatically when is used for the first time, however how we can created the CCM/MASTERCATALOG again if the SAP Catalog Authoring Tool is not used for the fist time.
Is there a way where the system can create the CCM/MASTERCATALOG for a second time?
I follow the steps to create the CCM/MASTERCATALOG for the first time however i didnt get a positive result.
Any help provided will be really appreciated.

Catalog Content Management in Plant Maintenance

Hi,
We are working on Plant Maintenance Component Scenario. The current scenario of Component planning is that we create PM order in backend.We add the components from the Catalogs in SRM Frontend.
My question is that possible to bring the catalog ICON in PM Order in backend or is that possible to add components from catalog in the backend.

I hope, for the below points there is no separate configuration.
1) Set List Processing for Fleet management objects.
2) Set reference object screen for Vehicles.
For 3) Consumption Relevant Counter reading Update.
IMG => PM & CS => Information systems for PM & CS => Configure Measurement document update
I hope, this is common for all the versions. Please check.

Hi,
Have you correctly defined the call structure? Remember the client to be populated in the call structure should be the client where the CCM catalog resides. Also, the catalog id must match that of the published catalog in the CCM client, maybe paste the call structure in here so we can see how it looks.

could anyone give the configuration steps required to configure ccm.does trex is mandatory in ccm.In srm we have maintianed twpurlsvr likethat does we have maintined any table in ccm?.is there any transaction like sicf in srm.how can we activate the bsp services.can we use srm and ccm in the same server?thanks in advance

Catalog content manager doesn't work

does anybody know what is the special content that SRMMDMCAT01_0.sca have?
different iViews?
if i'm implementing srm-portal-mdm-r3 it's necessary?
because i'm not using all the srm catalog, and only installed the mdm portal content, i'll have some problems?

The purpose of SRM-MDM is to use MDM as the catalog. You would store the data in MDM and SRM will then reference MDM ad-hoc. As part of the implementation, SAP delivers a webdynpro application which is deployed on a Netweaver Java stack, and that's what the user uses to search the catalog. The two applications (iViews) are called SearchUI and AdminUI. If you aren't going to use these, how are you planning on searching the catalog from SRM?

Sizing SRM Catalog management

Online update of catalog content in CCM by Suplier?

Dear Experts,
How does online update/upload of content by Supplier happens in CCM catalog in SRM? Does it go through the approval by content manager during the upload process?
Is it supported in SRM MDM catalog as well?

In the CCM you can set the default status of the catalog items to the To be approved and once you recieve the file from supplier Content manager can upload and the content approver can approve those items.
In MDM you have multiple options to handle the content either by a)excel upload or b)defining the ports and respective map and placing the file in the port for auto upload with MDIS.

SRM Catalog Download

Hi all
I need to download the full SRM Catalog structure together with all details from SRM to logcal XML file.
I've checked all around here on SDN but have not comed up with a clear solution...

My concern is more or less UNICODE..
So far I have tested this
- I have a deep structure with all the data about the Catalog structure <t_dyntable>
- then I try to convert this contents into UTF-8. By doing this I will get some of the special characters to show up as they should ( it think one of those were .amp that were successfully translated to &)
- Then CALL TRANSFORMATION were done to get the XML-file
Below you can see some different way's I have tried... Trying to use XSTRING.... and download via type BIN for GUI_DOWNLOAD. My starting point was with UTF-16, but with that I could not read the XML file at all - With UTF-8 I can read it but still as soon as some kind of special sign shows up the XML-editor complains about - Not allowed letter. Please help

With coding above the download xml-file will contain
&amp : is interpreted as & in the xml-editor = OK
BUT the file contains other special signs that do not work:
± : is not interpreted ok. XML-editor will stop analyzing the file = NOT OK
Do you know if I could use another way of codepage or something to also handle these special signs.

I m sending CatalogUpdateNotification_Out using BBP_CCM_TRANSFER transaction from SRM
But in the xml file which i receive in XI, Catalog Content data is missing.
I dont know anything in SRM.

Unable to create a test via Content Management via Content Administration

I am unable to create a test or survey via Content Management via Content Administration because insufficient privileges message. I create the folder and enter the test information for creating a test and then I after I click apply. I get message “You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator”.
The System Administrator viewed the profile being tied to the responsibility and thinks there is no problem. Somebody please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you add the main "Learning Administrator" role (UMX|OTA_LRNG_ADMIN), it will include all child roles for the Administrator, including the Learning Content Administrator, Learning Catalog Administrator, Learning Enrollment Administrator, Learning Finance Administrator, Learning Resource Administrator, and Learning Setup Administrator. If you don't have all of these roles, there are functions you will not have access to under the Learning Administrator responsibilities.
The "Learning Instructor - Update" role only allows users that have the Learning Instructor Self-Service responsibility to update enrollment statuses for Learners that have attended classes that they are set as a resource for and won't impact the Administrator functionality.

Question on CCM catalog content approval

Hi,
Can somebody tell me what kind of update to catalog content needs approval? My understanding was that if there is a price change, definately it will need to be approved. But yesterday my catalog manager uploaded some change to his catalog item price, and when checking the items in my procurement catalog, we can see the price has changed, but the status is still 'approved'.
Is my understanding wrong? How can I define what kind of update requires approval?

Hi Elly,
Firstly - can you check in customizing if the catalog is maintained with the status 'Approved'.
i.e. SPRO -> Cross App Components -> SAP CCM -> SAP Catalog Authoring Tool -> Specify default value for catalog status.
Here the catalog will either be set to Approved or To be approved initially.
After this, you can define approvals on characteristic level, drill into a characteristic component and you can set a percentage or absolute deviation which will based on these rules set items with this characteristic either to be approved or approved.
Alternatively you can make use of the CCM Approval Badi, You can use this BAdI to change the approval status of your catalog entries (items).
Normally, the approval status of catalog entries is determined by approval rules, which are stored for a characteristic. You can use this BAdI to get the status information of the catalog entries after the rules have been processed, and to change this status information as appropriate.
