SRM - Fields to Trigger Workflow in PO

Hi all,
I've an requirement it's similar to SPRO--> SRM server --> sourcing--> Define Fields in Shopping Cart Which Trigger Workflow
I can define which fields in a shopping cart should trigger an approval workflow when they are edited. But don't in Purchasing Order.
I'm not sure if it is possible in PO . If yes, any suggestions on how to go about this for PO.

HI Experts,
I have a requirement to trigger workflow when a web form is completed through a portal and saved.I also need to perform certain validations on the fields in the web form before triggering the workflow.The web form would then go the proper approvers and then I need to send notification messages on Approval or Rejection.I am at loss of thoughts as to how I can achieve this functionality.
I also need to send reminders to the approver every 2 hours till he takes some action.
Any suggestions would be of great help and would be rewarded appropriately..

Hi Narsingh,
the solution depends much on the web form you are implementing.
Is this a standard portal application you are working on? Or are you developing also the form from scratch?
The previous answers just tell how you can trigger a workflow if the application doesn't trigger it itself.
If the web form is a standard application or built with process frameworks like HCM Processes and Forms/ISR/PCR, then the event is often published by default without any customization.
No answers, just questions...

how to set field value in workflow SPD2013? Actually using Infopath, i need to update a field value through workflow.(Little differnt from SPD2010). How to do this?

As Amit says, some elaboration here would be good. You can use InfoPath as a form for either a list or a library and then set it to trigger a workflow upon item creation. The workflow will consist a number of actions, one of which is the Update
Field Item.

let me clear my scenario first . i have 1 purchase order whose workflow is not triggered . means it is showing me message no workflow that have already worked for this object.i have created 1 more purchase order taking reference of this purchase order means both are same same message for this po also. it was happening because event linkage for the business object bus2012 is not activated but now it is enabled and i have created third purchase order with reference to above po means this third po is also same as above 2 no change other than po number but for this workdflow is getting triggered . now i want to trigger workflow for orignal first po but for my first po it is showing me same message that no workflow that have already worked for this object. what i have to do to trigger workflow for this po. i have performed this steps in test system. i have workflow number

      You can trigger the workflow from SWUE.Enter bus2012 and created for object type and event respectively.
      Click object key button where enter the purchase order number which have been already created.
      But, why do you want to trigger the workflow again for already created purchase order ?

How to make Standard SRM fields as display fields on the screen

Hi,
I would like to make standards SRM field "PRODUCT ID" as the display field under the "BASIC DATA" tab.
Is there any way to control the standard SRM fields on the Basic data of the SC?
I have done it with custom fields with the BADI-BBP_CUF_BADI but it would not work for Standard SRM field.

OK here is the solution.
Create a Transaction variant via SHD0 Tcode
In the transaction screen variant make the field display only.
activate the transaction variant

I have a requirement when service ticket is created.After 5 days somesequence of process should happen through workflow.Now i have configured the start condition in Actions which should trigger workflow.
Will there be no specific triggering event for this workflow to trigger.As now the Action is green but no workflow is triggered.

this event next will trigger workflow.
also check in tcode swetypv is you workflow connected with this event.

More details about your discussions forum will make others easier to find a corresponding solution on your requirement.
If you mean there are three Discussion Board list waiting for synchronizing, I would suggest you create an Event Receiver for the three Discussion Board list.

Which field is the workflow trigger for a Contract Agreement ?

I am not sure if this has been answer before or if this is the correct forum. If not, apologies in advance and do direct me to the appropriate topic/forum.
I have an inquiries with regards to Contract Outline agreement and workflow trigger.
Based on my company configuration, the trigger is based on the changes in value and release strategy.
What I am unsure is that which field the workflow-trigger checks?
Does SAP checks the field "Target Value" in contract header, or the sum of net value in each of the contract items?

Hello Sek,
In contracts, the target value is used for the release strategy determination and not the net contract value. If you maintain a target value in the contract header, this value is set in field CEKKO-GNETW to determine the strategy. If no target value exists on header level, a cumulation of the target values of the items is carried out and used for the release strategy determination.

Need to trigger workflow based on change to one field in Warranty Claim

Hi All,
I have defined a workflow for the Warranty Claim system with triggering event as CHANGE in BO BUS2222. The workflow is triggerred and everything goes on smoothly. The only thing I need to address is this workflow should be triggerred ONLY when one particular field(CLERK) of the Warranty is changed. I have tried using the field restrictions in transaction SWEC for the Change Object but that doesnt seem to work and my workflow is triggerred on any change I make to the Warranty. Any pointers regarding this issue?

You will have to fetch the value based on your objectkey. I don't know what is your object key.
Declare: OBJTYPE like OBJTYPE
OBJKEY LIKE SWEINSTCOU-OBJKEY
EVENT   LIKE   SWETYPECOU-EVENT
RECTYPE LIKE SWETYPECOU-RECTYPE in the import parameter of your func module.
EVENT_CONTAINER    like SWCONT       in tables of func module.
In source code do these declarations apart from your other declarations which is required DATA: lv_object_key LIKE sww_contob-objkey ,
        lv_event       like SWETYPECOU-EVENT,
        lv_objtype     like SWETYPECOU-OBJTYPE,
Now say for an example your object key is sales order and you want only those orders for which order type is OR (standard sales order).
Then you can fetch the order type from any of the sales table and check if it is OR or not. Here your input will be lv_object_key.
eg: select order type from vbap where sales order =l v_object_key. Some logic like this.
If it is not OR then raise an error.
In this case when the required condtion is not satisfied the workflow won't be triggered.
