  • Bidding functionality in SRM

    Hi All,
I have couple of queries on Bidding. To go with Bidding functionality
    1. Is SUS is manadatory for Bidding ?
2.How Bidder will give RFX reponse with out SUS?
    Abdul Raheem

    Hi,
We are on SRM 7.0 only.
we dont need SUS for bidding funcationality.
if we create bidder in SRM with Bidder role, bidder can logon to SRM portal and can perform bidding. Corect me if i am wrong.
In that case for bidder creation do we need to mark Portal bidder flag for that?

  • The bidder cannot change/edit the response

    hi experts:
we use SRM7.0 with standalone scenario.
the bidder create a response for a RFx. before the deadline ,  the bidder change the price is permitted in our company .
       thequestion is :
in SRM,  the bidder can withdraw the response , and there is a button' Re-submit' , but there is no button"Edit" , why? and what shoud i do to make the bidders can  change the response.
      regards
         claud

In your RFx header, you'd have to check the box "RFx Respondent Can Change RFx Responses" in order for a submitted bid to be changed by the bidder without the buyer initiating it ("return" the bid).

    Hello Muthu,
At this point in time SRM 7.0 needs XI/PI for CCTR capability, this is promised to change with the release of EHP1 (due june 2010).
My list of additional features, not neccesarily advantages but might be usefull to you:
    Userside:
    - Webfront no more ITS based: Webdynpro's + Enterprise Portal (look & feel = R/3) (advantages: SSO / central user mgt)
    - configurable queries
    - Universal Work List (UWL)
    - Sourcing transaction / soco ()
    User mgt:
    - SRM User mgt = Portal user mgt (portal user + application user)
    Workflow:
    - Process Controlled WF / Application Controlled WF (New: Process Controlled, model custom rules / WF's more easily)
    Central Contract Management
    - Central Contract - Transaction type CCTR (New: big advantage!), SRM Contract - PCTR, Global Outline Agreement - GCTR
    - Create contract templates
    - legal contract authoring part
    Plan Driven procurement:
    - Plan Driven Procurement and ERP EHp4 needs XML/PI for data exchange (rfc's currently not supported: SRM 7.0 EHP1)
    - ERP EHP4 uses CPPR (Collective Processing of Purchase Requisitions), optional portal feature
    Shoppincart:
    - SC ability to create combined SC's (limit + free text + catalog + service)
    - Team purchasing
    Service Procurement:
    - ERP EHP4 and SRM 7.0: sourcing of erp service req. including hierarchies and follow-on docs ("enhanced service procurement")
    Auctioning:
dutch auction functionality (SRM/LAC seems to have inherited this functionality from E-Sourcing)
    Industry Solution:
    - Procurement for Public Sector (PPS)
    - Document Builder, smart numbering
    Kind regards,

  • Collaboration not created for bidder

    Hi
Currently we are building competitive bidding scenario with cfolders and SRM.
The cfolders CPRXRPM 450_700 (package SAPK-45008INCPRXRPM) has been installed on the SRM server 7 package level (SAPKIBKV05).
    Problem statement:
The Bidder is unable to create collaboration folder and following error is displayed on the screen.
u201CError creating collaboration; check user authorizationu201D.
Bidder has following SRM roles in SRM system:
    Bidder Role: /SAPSRM/BIDDER
    Cfolder User Role: SAP_CFX_USER and
Create Collaborations in the Competitive scenario Role: SAP_CFX_COMP_CREATOR
Am I missing some authorisation here?
I did manage to find OSS note 1375761, however we are at the OSS Note service pack level.
The buyer has created the bid invitation with Cfolder, he has given NONE authorisation to Bidder 1 and Bidder 2 to the Public folder.
The expectation is when the private work area is created by the bidder 1 (which is not happening at the moment due to the above error) while creating bid invitation, the content of the public area will be copied to the bidder 1 work area with restrcted authorisation to other bidders, so that bidder 2 will not be able to see bidder 1 work area. Similarly bidder 1 will not be able to see bidder 2 work area.
Is this the right process to configure the competitive business scenario? Please advice!!
I also tried creating 2 manual private work areas for each bidder and then assign the bidder user ID with admin roles respectively. Still we are getting the above error and bidder is unable to create the bid response.
Is it a bug in the system? or am I missing authorisation step?
    Please advice!!
    Regards,
    Sandeep Parab

    Ashwin,
Unfortunately the program BCFOLDER20_COL_CREATE is not stopping at the breakpoint.
I did investigate further with cfolder authorization.
If I give the bidder the administrator rights to the public area then the system automatically creates the private area while creating bid invitation. By doing this the system automatically give access to other bidders private area, which we do not want.
I really would like to understand how to control the folder administration role such that the system creates the private area while creating bid invitation also at the same time the bidders are not able to access each others private area?
Is it possible with standard competitive functionality or we need to do enhancement to control the authorization?
This is a very common scenario, I am sure someone might have archived this before. Kindly advice!!
    Regards,
    Sandeep

  • RFC connections between Iseries (SRM) and Windows 2003 TREX

I have installed SRM4.0, server5.0 on our iseries and TREX6.1 on a windows 2003 server. I am having issues with the RFC connection from SRM to TREX. I have looked at and modified the TREXRFCSERVER.ini, TREXDaemon and topology files but it still says it can not connect to the gateway.  Any suggestions on where to look? I have looked at trace files on the TREX directory but they mostly say it cannot connect without telling me where to go.
    Thanks,
    Chris sugg

    Hi Yann.
I read the note but we are on SP09 not SP02. Also, from my view, it appears that the note is assuming that the TREX installation and the SAP installtion are on the same server. This is not our case. The SRM, LAC, CCM, SUS and XI components are installed on our AS400 while the TREX and IPC are installed on a windows server. If I use the TREX hostname for the connection, I would think it would only stay on that server and not try to access the SRM (as400) server.
I will make the changes and see.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • LAC Infrastructure setup

    Hello SRM Experts,
in our company we like to install the LAC (LACWPS) to our SRM 5.0 system. But we don´t now how the infrastructure should look like. Is it better to install the LAC on the SRM machine or as standalone? Also we need information about the security setting (e.g. Firewall) in the SRM-LAC environment.
Is there any documentation or suggestions available?
Thank you very much for you help in advance
    Kind regards

  • SUS roles

    Hi,
We are on SRM 7.0 and have setup MM-SUS scenario with XI as the interface. SRM and SUS are on different clients.
We are trying to replicate the users(Contact persons) created by the admin person of a company in SUS into SRM also with 'Bidder' role.
For this I have made the following settings as per SAP document.
    1. In Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management under SAP Implementation Guide SAP Supplier Relationship
Management -- Supplier Self-Services -- Master Data -- Maintain Systems for Synchronization of User Data
    2. In the External Systems view, select New Entries.
    3. Under Logical System, select the system to which you want to connect the SUS User Management.
    4. Set the Activated indicator to activate the synchronization of user data with this system.
    5. In the System Name field, enter the reference name of your choice.
    6. Enter a role, /SAPSRM/BIDDER, that can be assigned to the user in this system.
Thus all users created in SUS are replicated into SRM with Bidder role.
My query is that is it possible for the admin supplier to not create some contact persons as bidders? (Some contact persons should be for Order collaboration in SUS and others for bidding in SRM? )
    Thanks & regards,
    Nikhil

  • Supplier resgisteration

    Hi All,
we are in the process of designing Supplier registeration for our client.
we are on SRM 7,0 EXTENDED CLASSIC.
    our steps are like this...
    1. supplier registers himself, no questioners sent back to vendor
    2.purchase preselects supplier...accept or reject
3.Accepted suppiers to be send to ECC
    4.Vendor master creation in ECC
    5. Vendor replication to SRM
6.Contact person creation in SRM with bidder role if purchaser expects him participate in bidding
7.Auto mail to bidder with link for bidding.
we want to majorily use this process to allow vendors for bidding....
Also suggest any best approach possible
    Abdul raheem

    Hi Abdul,
Please go to the following link https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/instguides
Then drill down to SRM 7. Here you will find detailed information guides on supplier registration which should help this process.

  • Supplier administration role - "SAP_EC_SUS_ADMIN_VENDOR"

    SRM Experts,
    I need your help.
I want to give this role "SAP_EC_SUS_ADMIN_VENDOR" to an administrator at the supplier location.
While testing this role, I came across the following issue:
This role gives authorization for the administrator to create additional users and add a role to that user. I do not want the administrator to see the list of roles.
    Roles
    Role Description
SAP_EC_SUS_ADMIN_VENDOR mySAP SRM SUS Administrator Supplier
ZBIDTEST mySAP SRM SUS Administrator Supplier
    SAP_EC_SUS_BIDDER mySAP SRM SUS Bidder
    SAP_EC_SUS_DISPATCHER mySAP SRM SUS Dispatcher
SAP_EC_SUS_INVOICER mySAP SRM SUS Invoicing Party
    SAP_EC_SUS_MANAGER mySAP SRM SUS Manager
SAP_EC_SUS_ORDER_PROCESSOR mySAP SRM SUS Order Processor
SAP_EC_SUS_SAR_PROCESSOR mySAP SRM SUS Scheduling Agreement Release Processor
SAP_EC_SUS_SERVICE_AGENT mySAP SRM SUS Service Agent
Can you please tell me where to control this. I would like to remove this section all together.
I checked in the authorization section of this role, doesn't look like this list is controlled over there.
I would appreciate any information on this.

    Hi,
Im sorry..You need to uncheck that option for all the Roles in PFCG which you dont want to be displayed i.e. Perform the steps mentioned in my prev reply  for all of these roles in PFCG:
SAP_EC_SUS_ADMIN_VENDOR mySAP SRM SUS Administrator Supplier
ZBIDTEST mySAP SRM SUS Administrator Supplier
    SAP_EC_SUS_BIDDER mySAP SRM SUS Bidder
    SAP_EC_SUS_DISPATCHER mySAP SRM SUS Dispatcher

  • How to mask or hide the bidder name in participant panel in SRM 7.01 LAC

    Hi Forum,
We have a requierment to change the participant bidder and contact persons names with some dummy values like bidder1, CP1 and bidder2 CP2....instead of displaying the real name of bidder and contact person in the participant display window in LAC.
    we are on SRM 7.01.
    How can we achieve this?
    Thank you,
    Anubhav Jain

    Enahnce the FM BBP_LA_AUCAPI_USER_GETLIST
    Logic:
Check if the LAC status is active or ended using the FM BBP_PD_AUC_GETDETAIL table ET_STATUS and change
et_participant-COMPANY_NAME for bidder name and et_participant-full_NAME for contact person name.
    Thank you,

    Hi all,
We're currently using SRM 3.0 (EBP 4.0 and LAC 1.0). We have a
requirement to hide Best Bid column in LAC of Bidder's view. Would you
please help us to solve this problem.
    Thanks & regards,

    Hello,
I'm afraid if You want to change it the only way is to decompile srmlaInitiator.jar and srmlaRespondent.jar and comment this column in AuctionItemsPanel.class

  • Pre bid acceptance and confirmation of paticpation of bidder in LAC

    Dear all,
As per business requirement, have following queries,
    1. Pre bid acceptance option i.e. user should bid prior to event duration, in order to check whether bidder is able to login on the in the auction.
    2. Event trigger confirmation of particiaption in auction event, which will confirm the bidder is ready to participate in auction event.
Please help me to address the issue.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

    Hi,
    1. Pre bid acceptance option i.e. user should bid prior to event duration, in order to check whether bidder is able to login on the in the auction?
There is no option in SRM .You can test this scenario in Quality server as a part of  Integration Testing. If it is working in
Quality . It should work in PRODUCTION.
As you are aware :To open Live Auction Cockpit (LAC), u201CJAVA RUNTIME ENVIRONMENTu201D
is to be installed in the supplier system
    check this link
    www.bemlindia.com/eprocurement/demo
    2. Event trigger confirmation of particiaption in auction event, which will confirm the bidder is ready to participate in auction event.
There is an option from SRM 7.0 for Bidder participation ,the supplier can click the button ,the purchaser will know that the supplier is participating in the Bid.
For Live Auction Cockpit  --It is not applicable like bidder participation in LAC. I am not quite sure.check the screen in SRM 7.0
