SRM PO Conversion document

Hello Gurus,
I want to upload my open PO's into SRM using a conversion document.
Can anyone tell me what are possible ways to upload PO's manually using any program.
We are implementing SRM ECS and the client doesn't have any legacy system.
Please give your value feedback how to go further with this issue.
Thanks,
mahesh

  • Does SAP SRM support scanned document?

    Dear Experts,
Does SAP SRM support scanned document in the sense that it can create system document out of a scanned document?? or do we need third party software like OCR, open text etc?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

I believe you'd need a third party scanning software. SRM does not provide such feature.

  • File content conversion Document offset not working?

    hi All,
I have a flat file which i need to convert into an xml using content conversion.
The document consists of 18 lines as shown below:-
    #HEADER_ARCDLX3098   OMD.I.170 0000000000000002#HEADERFECHADOC A 8
    HEADER A 25
    CLAMOVIM A 3
    MOTIVMOV N 4
    CENTRO A 4
    DEPOSITO A 4
    PROVEED A 10
    DEPRECEP A 4
    MATERIAL A 18
    CANTIDAD N 13
    UNMEDIDA A 3
    FLAGDEIMPRESION A 1
    TRANSPORTISTA A 12
    CHOFERPATENTE A 50
    CENTRORECEPTOR A 4

    #DATA10521000          12345678            12210521000          12345678            12210521000          12345678            122#EOF
the first 17 lines are to be ignored. And only the 18th line to  be taken.
The 18th line however, contains multiple records based on fixed field length.
    For example the above example contains 3 records - "10521000          12345678            122" , "10521000          12345678            122" and "10521000          12345678            122".
I tried to do a content conversion with document offset. However, it doesnt seem to work. There is no error and the xml is created without ignoring the first 17 lines.
    xml.documentOffset
    17
this is what is given in the content conversion.
    Please help.
    thnx,
    Ninu

    Hi,
Under Document Offset parameter, specify the number of lines(in ur case its 17) that are to be ignored at the beginning of the document.
This enables you to skip comment lines or column names during processing.
This should work. check the below link:

    Hi frndz,

  • SRM PPS with Document Builder

    Hi,
We installed SRM 7.0 SP8 with PPS.
How do I activate Document Builder. As per configuration guide i didn't see /IPRO/FND_DOCUMENT_BUILDER business function.
    Couple of Question
    1. Is it Add-On installation required for Document Builder ?
    2. What is the latest version of Document Builder ?
    3. How do I check whether document builder installed on my system ? Which parameter needs to check ?
    4. How do I check the version of Document Builder on my system ?
    Thanks a lot

That's the issue, As per configuration guide needs to activate /IPRO/FND_DOCUMENT_BUILDER business function. But I don't see that business function on SFW5.
But I activated both PPS function already.

  • Moving persistent data from boss to boss (document conversion)

I'd like to move one of my persistent data implementations from one boss to another. Unfortunately, there are documents created with an older version of the plugin that are still in use and would become incompatible with the new plug-in version. Doubly unfortunate, it seems that there is no use-case for handling this situation with a data converter from what I can see in the "Working With Data Conversion" document and API documentation. Am I correct here, and is there an alternative way of migrating existing data from one boss to another?

    Hi,
As the data in the cube is already in additive mode, if you get the data to a DSO in overwrtite mode, you will get an incorrect data.
So in order to get the correct data,, it is always best to keep the DSO id additive mode.
    e.g
    Request ID Customer Quantity
    20               1000          15
    21               1000          10
in this situation you would want to report
    Customer Quantity
    1000          25
an ODS with overwrite mode, without the request ID as a KEY would give
    Customer Quantity
    1000          10
an ODS with overwrite mode, with the request ID as a KEY would give
    Customer Quantity
    1000          25
an ODS with additive mode, with/without the request ID as a KEY would give
    Customer Quantity
    1000          25
    Hope this helps

  • SRM file attachments to be maintained in a different server (content server

    Hi Sap Gurus
we are using Extended classic senario of SRM, and Shopping cart, PRs, POs are created in SRM and remains in SRM only, (no transfer to ECC / backend)
and here in Shopping cart, PRs, and POs we attach external files (word, Pdf, gif files) relevantly,
we have a requirement to transfer the SRM external files / documents attached in to a different content server,
the requirement is simple, as to not to Load the SRM server with external documents or attachments, we would like to have this documents in a different Server (here inside content server) so that the documents are accessed and retrived from Content server every time by SRM.
Going to Transaction OAC0, we could see there are different content repositories available, having Document area, and storage Type mainly SAP System database.
here let me know among the list of different content repositories available which one specifically deals with external file attachment storage, so that i can change the storage Type to a Content server
is this the correct way to transfer our SRM external files to a different Content server, or any other best methord please eloborate
Points sure for any correct answers,
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi all
We are currently holding shopping cart attachments on the local server but the customer now wishes to hold this on OpenText repository.  I have successfully implemented the OpenText repository by changing the value against BBPFILESYST to our bespoke value; however when I do this I can no longer see the attachments that were previously stored locally!
Can someone please advise how this may be achieved or, conversely, how these 'old' attachments can be moved to OpenText?
    Many thanks in advance
