SRM PO Workflow (BADI Type) in waiting status

Hi all,
I am in SRM extended classic scenario. After shopping cart gets created, it gets automatically approved and PO is created. Then PO workflow is triggered for approval. This happens fine in development box. However when its been transported in quality, the PO workflow remains in 'Waiting Status'. The requested start date has been set to future date 31.12.9999. Thus the workflow does not start properly. If gets stuck with the first step. It does not go upto the approval step.
Is there anyone who can tell me why this is happening and what is the remedy?
Regards
Dip

Hi Dipankar,
Is it required to set the requested start date to future date 31.12.9999?
Also check if the same has been maintained in development system.
I think this might be restricting the workflow to proceed. Please check the relevance of this deadline monitoring.

Saumya

  • Work flow in waiting status

    Hi,
we are using N step PO work flow for chagning the purchase orders.
when the PO is changed and ordered workflow is going into WAITING status.
It is not triggering the next steps at all.
Could any one suggest how to proceed further?
    Thanks,
    Naresh

    Hi Daniel,
It's wokring fine for all the PO'S.
For only one specific PO we are facing this problem.
Even If I try to change the same PO again it gives an error
'Document being processed in background; try again later'
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,

  • How to re-start the workflow for Shopping carts in WAITING status

    Hi
We are using 1-step approval work flow, and we get some strange issue. We can add approver in the workflow, but after we click order button and back to check status again, sometimes there will be "Ad-hoc agent not found" issue. Do you know how to solve?
And one workaround for user is to re-add the approval, and sometimes the shopping cart back to normal. But sometimes, after we add the approver, the shopping cart are in waiting status:
    Workflow Item:
    Workitem-ID 000000714642
    Task WS10000276
Text One-Step Approval: Value limit: Shopping Cart
    1000114698
    Status WAITING
    Statustext Waiting
    Date 13.06.2008
    Time 10:41:22
So may I ask how to re-trigger the workflow?

    Hi,
Thx for that. I need to trigger the Approval workflow to go the the approval manager.
Can u give me the document on this? thx,  kerry.liu [at] ap.effem.com.
    Thx very much

  • Work item struck in 'Waiting Status'.

    HI All,
I have a problem with SRM custom workflows for PO and Invoice approval. Work flow has started but stuck in the status "waiting" at the first step 00002 "Parallel Section Between Approval "
I've checked SWPC (continue workflows after crash) and SM58 (RFC connections), but its not in either.
Can any one tell why work items are going into waiting status?
    Its very Urgent.
    Thanks,
    Shiva

    Hi,
Sorry, I'm not familiar with SRM related matters. Can I just check with you if the task in the workflow is an 'Wait for Status Change' kind of activity? E.g. WS12300111 (ECC 6 Leave workflow).
If so, you may want to simulate in your test server, and run program RSWWCOND to see if the workflow will continue. Not too sure if this will help you.

  • SRM SC in item in transfer I1111 status...no PO created

    Hi SRM gurus,

This SC has 2 line items and first line item created PO, 2nd line item is in item in transfer I1111 status
Please help on how to create PO for it.
    Regards,
    Babu

    Hi,
We have observed that, report BBP_SC_AUTO_RETRANSFER won't carry out checks before triggering the SC transfer. For example, if you are using BAdI BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE, it will not be triggered.
PLEASE CHECK ITS BEHAVIOR IN A NON-PRODUCTIVE SERVER THOROUGHLY, BEFORE SCHEDULING IT IN A PRODUCTIVE SERVER.

  • WorkFlow BADI : Get Responsi From R/3 for given WBS

    Hi,
    Scenario:
I am developing a Workflow BADI in SRM5.0.
For all cost centers I am getting approvers based on Z-table values.
But then for WBS... i have to get the list of approvers from R/3.
I created a Function module in R/3 dev which gets me Responsible person.
    Issue:
While calling the RFC function module... by giving destination name, the Function module is working fine.
But I dont want to Hardcode Destination name.
Can I get the Destination name in some other manner ?
    Helpful Answers will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Ashwin.

    Hi,
    Please follow this logic:
    1) Function Module BBP_GET_BACKEND_SYSTEMS  will provide you the backend system detail (logical system name).
    2) Then use the FM BBP_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GETDETAIL to get the RFC destination of the backend system which can be used to make teh RFC call.
This would avoid hard coding and will work fine.
    Sample Code:
    *& Report  ZKB_BACKEND_SYS
    REPORT  zkb_backend_sys.
DATA: lt_log_sys     TYPE TABLE OF bbps_logical_system.
DATA: lt_messages    TYPE TABLE OF balmi.
    DATA: ls_log_sys     TYPE bbps_logical_system.
    DATA: lv_destination TYPE rfcdest.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_GET_BACKEND_SYSTEMS'
      TABLES
        et_logical_systems = lt_log_sys
        et_messages        = lt_messages.
    CLEAR ls_log_sys.
    READ TABLE lt_log_sys INTO ls_log_sys INDEX 1.
    CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GETDETAIL'

      IMPORTING

  • WF 14000075 in waiting status ??

    Hi,
After applying SP8 and SP9 on SRM50, all created SC create hold PO.
The hold PO is absolutely complete. If i just go to chnage mode in BBP_POC and select order, the PO status change automatically from hold to ordered and Po is duplicated into the backend (ECS scenario).
I checked SDN and WS14000075 and WS14000076 workflow definition look fine in SWDD.
In SWUD, i get sub workflow in WAITING status ??? thus i cannot proceed them...
    In RZ20, i just got a red message  MF BUS4101 pour WF-BATCH. Sy-subrc : .
However my WF-BATCH user seems to be OK : everything is green in SWU3 .
Does anybody encounter the same issue ?
    How to solve it ?
    Kind regards,
    Yann

Solved through 1043808 ECS: Purchase orders always created on HELD status

  • Work item in waiting status incase of multiple approvers

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenrio where in the work item needs to be sent to multiple approvers.
We have multi line container element which contains all the approvers. We have assined this container element using the expression option for the agent .
we have made the task as general task and we do not have any requested start maintained for this work item.
However we are facing a problem. Work item is always in waiting status. What might be the issue? In our case when i check the work flow log, for these work items there are three approvers, however SBWP inbox is appearing only for one approver and remaining two approvers do not have any Icon against their name.
I have checked the approvers ID's and all of them are active in the system.
Can you please help me to resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Madhu

    Hello,
I would look at the workitem in SWIA, proceed as if you were going to change the container elements (ie click on the workitem number, Edit > Change) and see what options are available to you.
"Resubmit: You can have a work item resubmitted to you for processing at a later date. To do this, choose Resubmit and then enter the date on which you want to receive the work item."
Let us know what you find.
Edited to add: I tried it myself, a "End resubmission" button appears when you click on the Waiting step in the workflow log.

  • Spool  was in waiting status for 10 mins

    Hi all,
when i try to issue any print from sap , Spool  was in waiting status for more than 5 mins & then it starts begins formatting output type ...
    Please help me .
    Regs ,
    Murthy

    hi,
If you are having frequent problems with delayed processing of spool requests and/or spool work processes waiting for communications time-outs, then you may want to run your spool work processes with the R/3 developer trace switched on.
Activate the developer trace by setting the option rdisp/TRACE in the system profile or by adding the TRACE option to the command line with which an SAP application server is started. These command lines are defined in the SAP start profiles. For more details about this, see Trace Functions and the sections about profile maintenance in the documentation about the Computing Center Management System.
The information in the developer traces is highly technical. However, the trace information should let you or a consultant at least identify the host system and printer that are causing problems.

During downloading the new version, it stops with a "waiting" status when Internet's cut happened. Since, impossible to restart or to download again. Help !

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • HT1688 I'm trying to download a audiobook I got this morning with iTunes. However, the book is frozen on "waiting" status, what is the audiobook "waiting" for?

I'm trying to download a audiobook I got this morning with iTunes. However, the book is frozen on "waiting" status, what is the audiobook "waiting" for?

    Hello Jose,
I would be concerned too if the audiobook I purchased from iTunes was not downloading on my iPhone. I have a few suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1725
If the audiobook still does not download, I recommend signing out and back into the iTunes Store on your iPhone:
    Changing your Apple ID account
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.
The last step states to sign in with another account, but for the situation you described, I recommend just signing in with your same Apple ID.
You can find the full article here:
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311
If you are still not able to download the audiobook, you can report an issue with this purchase using the steps in this article:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase

  • How to Stop workflow which is in Progress status.

    Hi ,
I have started a workflow while testing , now it has reached to the inbox of different agents.
could you please suggest how to stop the workflow and rollback everything affected because of it .
    best regards
    abhijeet chitale

You could use the transaction SWIA to manually complete workitems. If you use the the workitem ID of the workflow instance you set the status of the workflow to logically deleted.
Other option is to use the object FLOWITEM with method statuschange to change the status to completed. Also go in there with the ID of your workflow instance.
However, my question is why you want to do this? If you're testing you could also just execute the workitem in the inboxes. Undo work which is done has to be executed manually.
    Kind regards,
    Joost van Poppel
