SRM PPS - questions

Guy's, May someone can help me with this.
1) Is goods receipt possible in SRM PPS?
2) Is invoice receipt possible in SRM PPS
3) Is XI mandatory?

Once your SRM PO has been replicated to your ERP system, you must carry out your financial processes - goods receipt and invoice processing - in ERP. The master PO is in SRM.
And regarding moving to SRM PPS from either Classic or Extended Classic; you should compare the business functions between the versions very carefully, especially if you are already maintaining contracts in your Extended Classic system. SRM PPS offers different and specific functionality for local government organisations. Functions which you used in ECS may not be available in PPS.

Line Item Hierarchy in SRM PPS

Hi experts,
I am trying to configure Line Item Hierarchies functionality in SRM PPS 7.0, with ERP 6.0 ehp 4.
I am already able to create a PO with item hierarchy in SRM, but when the system tries to replicate it to ERP it gives an error message, regarding the lack of Material Group in one of the items.
However, the item which doesn't have material group in PO has item type Outline, so it cannot have Material Group.
In ERP the necessary business function is activated: PS_GOVPROC_ITEMTYPES. I also activated Government Procurement Function in SPRO: SRM Government Procurement Integration.
My question is: do I have do to any customizing activities in ERP for this funcionality, or it is only necessary to activate the business function?

I have a requirement close to your's which we need to create Contract with line hierarchies for Services (as in ERP). Appreciate if you could shade some lights on how you enable the 'Outline' Item Type in Purchase Order in SRM?

Usuage of CFolders and DMS in SRM PPS

Dear All,
Can we use DMS and CFolders both in SAP SRM PPS .
We want to use DMS for storing Procurewmnt documensts, Cfolders for Bidding...
Is there any restriction that we cant use both ???

Hi,
A technical bid response is made in cFolder for a RFx response from a bidder. In other words, an acceptance of a technical bid response is for all items before proceeding to open the RFx price response in SRM. During awarding in SRM, you can select/reject the item at item level.
So in short, you cannot accept technical bid response on the item level.

We are plannig for SRM PPS. Does SRM PPS supports services in PO .
As i know it only supports Extended classic, means it will not support Service procurement.
Any hint of PPS supporting service procurement??

SRM PPS with Document Builder

Hi,
We installed SRM 7.0 SP8 with PPS.
How do I activate Document Builder. As per configuration guide i didn't see /IPRO/FND_DOCUMENT_BUILDER business function.
Couple of Question
1. Is it Add-On installation required for Document Builder ?
2. What is the latest version of Document Builder ?
3. How do I check whether document builder installed on my system ? Which parameter needs to check ?
4. How do I check the version of Document Builder on my system ?

That's the issue, As per configuration guide needs to activate /IPRO/FND_DOCUMENT_BUILDER business function. But I don't see that business function on SFW5.
But I activated both PPS function already.

SRM PPS 7.0 external requirements with outlines

Dear gurus,
I have managed to get services transferred to SRM from ECC, using the standard PDP configuration. How can we replicate Purchase Requisition with outlines in them.
Remember, we have PPS switched on. Any hints will be appreciated. Points awarded.

1. What are the restrictions of classic scenario ?
2. What are the restrictions of extended classic scenario?
3. I want to know how organizational structure is impacted in classic scenario and extended classic scenario?

Limitations of the Classic scenario:
1.     Procurement of direct materials is not supported by the classic scenario.
2.     The integration of Procurement card is also not possible.
3.     While procurement of services, processing of limits cannot be achieved.
Limitations of the Extended Classic scenario:
1.     After a SC creation, there is no purchase requisition document.
2.     After a SC creation, there is no reservation created. However, with the help of BADI it can be achieved.
3.     Till SRM5.0, extended classic scenario does not support Procurement card functionality.
4.     In extended classic scenario, when a SC is created with more than 1 limit items, separate Pos will be created for each item.

PSS scenario is not supported for classic scenario ,
changes in procurement process of SRM 7.0
        - Stand alone and classic scenario not supported
        - Shopping cart renamed to Purchase Requisition
        - Shopping cart generate (pre)commitment in funds management
        - Contract can create Funds Reservation (Earmarked Funds) in Funds Management as a Guarantee
        - Goods Receipt and Invoice created in ERP
        - Mixed PO: PO with lines that works like contract lines, a PO can be created from these lines
        - PO created from contracts or mixed-PO is named call-off PO. Only is a new name, is a "normal" SRM      PO
        - Goods receipt possible in SRM only in "easy" cases

Integrate Document Builder to SRM PPS using Web Service

Well, if what you want to see is the "Document Builder" link from "Related Links" of your RFx document, what you need to do is to configure it in IMG :
SPRO - SRM Server >> Cross-Industry Functions >> Integration with Document Builder >> Activate Document Builder Integration
There you should specify an entry with the following:
DB DocTypes: Object Type EBP Local RFx
And the URL to the Doc Builder webDynpro application in the format of https://<server:port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/ipro/wd_docb
And be sure to check that checkbox marked with "+" on the column header.

Ok thats done. Still i we need to do the Web Service activation through SOAManager rite. Correct me if i am wrong.
There are 2 parts to look into it.
1. We can use the OLD Proxy Method used as Web Service.
2. Integration with SAP XI. (Note: PID is available in System Landscape)
We took the discussion to go with OLD Proxy Method used as Web Service for now, Since its working in Sandbox.
We created a client proxy ZDOCB in SE80 and activated it using the wizard.
we created a Logical Port in LPConfig.
And when checking for Web Service in WSADMIN, we are not able to find the Old Proxy used as Web Service.
We can use SOAManager instead. Since its not Configured in Sandbox, we went and configured in the old transaction itself (WSADMIN, LPCONFIG).
If its feasible, can we do in SOAManager also.
Objective:
to get the Document Builder reflected in the Related links of RFx and Contract.

SRM WF Questions

Hello SRM gurus..
wanted some information on how the SRM WF works.
does it follow the hierarchy set the organisation plan? or any more settings required.?
How to configure the WF in SRM,if I want to use one step approval WF.

Hi Arshad,
The WF follows the hierarchy set in the Organization Plan. If you want to set a one step approval for a document, you will have to identify the corresponding WF for the document you want (find that in the link at the end of this tread) and follow the 3 steps below.
1.     To activate a WF you would have to go to PFTC, choose Workflow Template, enter the WF ID and display. Then go to the Triggering Events Tab, and in the Other Events table, click Display <--> Change Add event, add an event and choose the parameters of the Binding. (i.e. for a Shopping Cart approval I would choose the BOR Object Type BUS2121 with the event SAVED --> this means that whenever a SC is saved this Workflow will be triggered)
2.     To check or change the Workflow start conditions, use transaction SWB_COND.
3.     Make sure the event linkage for the Workflow and Business Object is active in transaction SWETYPV before testing it.
