SRM purchase order and contract item overview

Hi.
Is it possibles to change the PO and Contract item overview screens as we have a specific need to include one additional column (delivery dates)? As an example, for a SRM PO , we want to include a new free text field we have defined?
Thank you. Vij

You say that
1. you have created the contract with overall service limits.
2. you now referred this contract and created the PO
PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
Please remove the No limit check and keep only the value in contract limits. The system would then force you to enter the additional value in unplanned services during SES creation. The same applies when you are using Other Limits (Mentioned limit in other Limits tab in PO creation)
If it does not work, check message settings for message # SE 347, 364, 365 & 366.
If it still does not work, please open an OSS message to SAP.
Thanks & regards

  • How to link asset with purchase order and PO Item.

    Hello,
I have to generate a report which contains columns
Asset No , po no(ebeln) ,PO Item(ebelp),Material no etc
My query is how to link asset with purchase order and      PO Item.
I am selecting asset and po no. from anla  but how to get
    po item no(ebelp)?
po line item is important in this report because every line item has differrent asset and material no.
i tried to match asset no in mseg table but i am not getting asset no in mseg .
    how should i proceed ?

Thanks Thomas & Srimanta for the quick response.
When I checked EKKN table by entering PO there is no asset no. in anln1 field.
Also I would like to add that, In me23n for a PO, account assignment category we are entering 'F' for internal order settlement.
Where can i find the link between asset and po no(ebeln) and po item(ebelp)?

  • Buyer of shopping cart, purchase order and contract

    Hi
I wanted to ask about buyers. Are buyers usually a purchasing group/organisation? I am not sure if my thinking is right but wouldn't a buyer of a shopping cart and purchase order be the same. And a buyer of a contract would or can be different to the shopping cart because a contract is a source of supply and is probably linked to many purchasing groups/organizations.
Is this reasoning right? Buyers are different to approvers too isn't it? Please could someone explain this to me?
    Kind regards

    Hi Deepa,
Are buyers usually a purchasing group/organisation?
Ideally each buyer should ahve a unique purchasing group. In thsi case we can say that each buyer is a purchasing group. However, in some companies, its a possiblity of sharing a purchasing group. In that case multiple buyer users will be assigned to purchasing groups in the SRM organizational structure.
buyer of a shopping cart and purchase order be the same.
Normally, if a PO is created w.r.t. SC, the purchasing group is copied. So its the same. However we can change the purchasing groups in sourcing cockpit using workload reassignment option or direcly in the PO/contract document.
So we can say that its necessary to have PO/contract purchasing group same as that in SC.

  • SRM- Pucchase Order and Contract (backend) Tolerance failures

Using SRM 7 Extended classic scenario with ECC 6.0.  Tolerances have been set up in ECC and SRM.
The Contract is raised in the backend and replicated into SRM.
In SRM, both PPOMA and Vendor groups have been assigned the correct TOG.
Raising a Shopping Cart that exceeds the Contract Target value, but it within the Tolerance, works fine.  However, once the Shopping Cart is approved, the back end PO creation fails, leaving the SC status as Saved.  A review of SLG1 says that the PO exceeded the Contract value and displays errors for both Quantity and Target Value.
Any ideas on where to investigate appreciated.

    Hi Gerry
give more precise data about TOG you given in org structure
so you will get more suggestions from other people. it is power of SDN
created PO successfully in ECC via ECC request
no PO created successfully in ECC via SRM request
give more data on sc /pr /contract data ( quantity or value contract) for better understanding

I'm having similar problems btu with repsect to SRM PO's against Contracts raised in the backend (replicated into SRM)
Our infrastructure -s SRM 7 Extended Classis Scenario and ECC 6.
I have tolerances setup in ECC and SRM and the TOG has been assigned in SRM Vendor Groups and in the HR Org Structure (PPOMA).
Tolerance are 5% up to $100.00
If I raise a Contract in ECC, and a PO (MM) in ECC, then the PO will work if I stay within the allowed tolerances.
When I raise a PO in SRM, the Shopping Cart is processed OK, but when the SC is approved, the backend PO is not created.
In the Shopping cart in Related Documents for document Purchase Order, the Satus is set to Saved. A review of SLG1 indicates error due to exceeding the quantity and the Target value.
Why are tolerances not being taken into consideration? How do I get this to work?

  • Purchase Order and Contract - controlling overall value

Our process has the following steps - The total amount in the order to the vendor is fixed. Indivdual services have rates fixed, but quantities are not fixed ie, the quantity can vary from 0 to any upper number subject to the overall value of the order. I tried the following:
Created a contract (ME31K) with the services and rates entered (quantity kept as 1). Overall value entered as the contract limit. PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
With this my expectation was that the system will allow multuiple service entry sheets for each of the services upto the limit specified by the contract. However the system allowed Service Entry for value exceeding the overall limit of the contract.
What other configuration needs to be done to make sure that beyond the overall value limit, system does not allow service entry.
Thanks in advance for your help

  • Migrate Open items - Sales orders/ purchase orders and unbilled deliveries

    Hello All
Can you please tell me the best practice to migrate open sales orders, purchase orders and deliveries due for billing at Cutover to the new system?
Also how can the historical data be migrated? What all comes under historical data?
    Many Thanks
    CM

The way the sales order data is migrated is largely dependent on the number of orders you are intending to migrate. 'Best practice' would suggest you do the following:
    1) Do not migrate any completed orders (they should be kept as 'read only' in the legacy system)
    2) Get the business to close as many orders as possible before the cutover
    3) Stop entry of any new orders during the cutover the period - hold them back and enter them directly into SAP.
Once you have a manageable numebr of orders to migrate you really have two options:
Upload the basic order into SAP (we have usually done this from a spreadsheet using ALE or some similar tool). The basic data is confirmed to order type, order number, order date, customer number, material code and quantity. Any data in addition to this is then added manually to the system by the users e.g. pricing info (this is really important as pricing data is really difficult to map). To do this you will need to have sequenced this correctly e.g. ensuring that the data and config for both the materials and customers are all already in the system before you load the orders.
The second option would be to load them all completely manually - which is why I said at the beginning that really, the best approach is determined by the quantity of orders you need to migrate.
I am sure other people will have used other methods but these two are the ones we usually use.
(edit) P.S. you must remember that 'open' sales orders are any orders that are not yet billed so even if an order is delivered in your legacy system if it has not been invoiced you MAY need to migrate it. But as I metioned at the beginning - it would really be better to complete that order (i.e. bill it) before you close the legacy system so that it does not need to be migrated.
    ========
For deliveries - again, there is no simple fix for this. Because the migration of a delivery demands the migration of an open sales order, the best approach is probably to load the sales order basic data, get the users to complete the sales orders (as described above) and then run the delivery due lists or manually and individually deliver each sales order item.
You cannot migrate ONLY the deliveries, you need to migrate the preceeding order(s) as well. But, again, if you take the approach of closing as many as possible in the legacy system, it will be much easier than migrating them.

  • Add restriction while create item by "Old Purchase Orders and Templates"

We are consider to add restriction while create shopping cart item by "Old Purchase Orders and Templates".  After implement such restriction, create item by copying old shopping cart item is not allow for particular matereial group number.
Is there any BADI can be used in our case?  If there is no, could modify HTML template the only solution?
    Regards,
    Donald

    Hi,
If the restriction is for certain group of people, then you  have 2 options:
1.Make the link invisible for those group of people by implementing the BADI BBP_SC_MODIFY_UI.In the BADI,first check the user attributes like particular role and based on that make the link invisible.
    2. Assign certain role to the  group of users who should not see the link "Old Purchase order and templates".You can hide this link in the MENU by removing this from the lits of trasctions in that particular role.In PFCG,go in that role and then under MENU tab, remove the entry for "OLD PURCHASE ORDER AND TEMPLATES".

  • Automatically adding  purchase orders and maintenance contracts

We are actually doing our purchase requisition and quotation externally through a procurement agent.  We get an excel sheet extract from our proquriement agent of all our purchases.  We want to be able to automatically enter these purchases into the system for record keeping.  Is there a way SAP can automatically read the extract file and enter purchase orders and maintenance contracts into the system?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Purchase Orders against Contracts/Sales Orders report

One of our divisions creates long term Contracts against which there are potentially hundreds of Purchase Orders created as the work continues. I have seen reports of POs for material group (ME2C), vendor (ME2L) and more but is there one that will list POs for a Contract or Sales Order.
Apologies if I'm missing something obvious but I must admit I cannot seem to see it if it does exist.

  • Old Purchase orders and template - Price Information not taken into account

    Hi experts,
In MDM catalog, I have a product with 'Price Information' and with 'Contract price'. I create a shopping cart with the 'Price Information'.
Then, I create another shopping cart using the anterior througth the functionality 'Old Purchase orders and template'.
The price taken into account is the 'Contract Price'
    Is this the standard procedure?
    Thanks in advance,
    R Silva

as far as i know the price preference is in this order
    1. Contract price
    2. Purchase Info record
    3. list price
so in that case - this is standard procedure
you can confirm - by doing the same process for an item that  has ONLY price information (list price) and see if that price is copied from old to new SC
    thanks

  • Transfer of tax indicator to purchase order for service items in shopping cart

    Hi all.
I have a problem with the tax indicator in the shopping carts and in the backend purchase orders for service items. If I create a shopping cart with service items with different tax indicators, the backend purchase order have a unique item including all the services. So, all the PO items are under one tax indicator while in the shopping cart there is more than one indicator. I mean, the PO is not correctly replicated with the information of the SC.
Example: shopping cart in SRM with 3 items, tax codes: V1, V2, V1. The standard code transfers the information to the backend, and creates a purchase order with an unique item with the 3 services under tax code V1. So, the second service is not under the correct tax code, and will be wrongly invoiced.
We have debugged all the code of the process, and we think it is a standard bug. When you replicate a PO in the backend from a SC in SRM, have you experienced this behaviour, or the service items are grouped in different PO items each one with the correct tax indicator?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi again...
I forgot to mention that we have found and applied the note 1822107 (Purchase order: wrong tax code for PO with 2 service items), that fits exactly to our problem. But after testing, it doesn't work.
    Regards.
