Hi all,
I am workin on SRM 4.0.I have started configuring the system from scratch.I am referring to the SRM EBP 5.0 Configuration Guide.The problems which i am facin are like that:
1> Not able to run the report BBP_UPLOAD_PAYMENT_TERMS.
It shows the error that " NO valid Backend System defined".
2> Not able to enter the plant for the backend system through transaction PPOMA_BBP.
Tried entering the purchasing plant but no change.
Can anyone suggest anything on this?Please help.

Use PPOMA_BBP in your SRM system (not portal).
Click on the employee's position for whom you wish to add this catalog id, then navigate to the attributes tab under this position. Here find attribute Catalog id and mention the catalog id defined under your Webservices (SRM Server-Master data-Content Management-Define External Web services)

Link SRM and back-end in a query

hi experts,
i'm doing a query in SRM 4.0 with a back-end ECC 6.0.
This query includes some TABLES/VIEWS of SRM and others of ECC 6.0 (MM module). Pay attention: i know how is possible to link the views between them, i need to know how to connect two system (SRM and ECC6.0 - MM module) in the same query.

thank you for your response. This query is developed with tool SQ01, and his scope is to get data from R/3 tables (Eban,Ekko,Ekpo,Lfa1) and SRM tables (BBP_PDView_IAP,BBP_PDView_ACC,...), for view shopping cart state on SRM, and its relative Purchase Order on MM.
Can you make me an example for RFC-enabled function modules (Business APIs) ?

Query on Workflow/SRM

Hi All,
I have a query on workflow/SRM.
Recently our client upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and we are facing with the below problem after the upgrade.
Users create Purchase Orders through shopping carts in SRM system; requisitioner will receive a notification mail on creation of PO in the backend system. When the shopping cart is converted as PO (after releasing from sourcing), a workflow is getting triggered in backend ( ECC 6.0) which sends the PO notification mail to the requisitioner. In that notification mail, the Cart No and Cart Description is missing for the PO. This issue occurs only after the upgrade. We have analysed, it is because of the delay to update the PO number on the shopping cart, which happens with the help of batch job CLEAN_REQ_REQ_UP which is running for every 5 minutes in SRM system. To confirm this we had included Wait Statement in the workflow function module which will delay the work flow by 5 minutes and the workflow is running fine now. But I want to know whether the above change will affect the performance of the production system, since this make the workflow wait for every PO. Also as an alternative we are thinking of manual triggering of workflow using batch jobs instead of automatic.
Please advice which is better in terms of system performance and maintenance.

I'll suggest to add a background step to verify if the PO has been created instead of waiting. BCOZ if the PO has been created and it is in last few seconds of next scheduled run of the this report, it has to still wait for atleast 5 minutes.

Query on SRM Shopping Cart ,plz help its very very urgent

Hi Friends,
I have a query on workflow.
Users creates PO through SRM shopping cart and immedeately they receive a mail in there mail box.Below is the process flow of sending the mail to the user inbox from srm shopping cart.
SRM Shopping Cart>Business Object>Workflow-->Mail
Here my problem is.
The bususinees object generally holds the data for cart number and cart description, but when i am checking the workflow it does not contain any cart number or cart description,so that the mail that is going to user inbox also does not contain any cart number and cart description value.
Recenly our client upgrade from 4.6c to Ecc 6.0 and this problem is happening after the upgradation.
Please suggest if anyone face this kind of problem or anyone having any idea on this.
Pls give me some suggestion.

Hi,
Your condition is puzzling... the workflow in SRM for SC is triggered after the SC is saved.
The PO is a follow-on document after the SC is approved. As such it has no relationship to the backend upgrade since the workflow engine is in the SRM server. Your worflow is triggered from the SC or PO?

i have defined jump(report type: webaddress and reicver report as url) from shopping cart bex query(SRM ) to webaddres.
here url is SRM ITS base link for monitoring shoppingcart(http://(hostname):(SRM port)/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbp_mon_sc?sap-client=200&sap-language=EN).
jump is working from portal(from bex query ivew).
but i want to pass value(shopping cart value) to above url and want to skip first screen.
i have maintained assignment detail by assigning field name against shopping cart infoobject with type url parameter, but its not directly call reciver url with given input field.
i tried the diffrent combination of url and field assignment as like below:

with field assignment: shopping cart number = GS_HEADER-OBJECT_ID (for drill down on particular field, i.e. open the URL with this field value entred from sender query's field shopping cart number)
result is coming: http://(hostname):(SRM port)/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbp_mon_sc?sap-client=200&sap-language=EN&GS_HEADER-OBJECT_ID='selected number value'&GS_HEADER-OBJECT_ID=10000456
and when try this:

but in am not getting the key on which they should be joined
here i have to take the quantity and other fields from requisition_services
right now i am using the joining condition as
requisition_items-pckg_no = requisition_services-pckg_no.

SRM -Supplier Enablement module-a simple query

Hi Gurus,
I am MM consultant, new to SRM. Doing presales activity with client.
I have one query.
My client got an information that SRM-supplier enablement module ( Supplier Collaboration ) implementation requires following :
Any transaction happened through this portal ( client's own portal) SAP charges
2 % on it.
Is it true???
Our client has ecc6 Business suite. what is SAP's pricing strategy for this SRM module
My client's decision of procurement SRM is pending for it. Can anybody provide any information ? Points will be awarded for any useful reply

Hi Santosh,
for SUS there is a fee for number of supplier connected in the SAP fee model.
Quite stupid thing, as many companies have no interest with this to connect
many suppliers. But: depending on the size of your client company, the fee is
wide open for negotiations, esp. with the whole fee package a companies has.

SRM 7.0 and SRM MDM Installation query

I have installed Both AS ABAP and AS JAVA Stack separately and going forward I need to know
1) Do I need to install any other servers other than this like EP and PI etc?
2) I also wanted to install SRM MDM, for that I have gone through some documents and threads and found that
Prerequisites
1. SRM Server- Installed with ORACLE database
2) For SRM MDM
Ø        Download the SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 installable from Market Place-- Done
Ø         Install the MDM Server and other GUI Clients--Done
Ø     UnArchive the SRM-MDM repository available with the installables only
                     Need help for
             . Not able to find DBMS server
             . User
               . Password for DBMS setting
Ø      Deploy the two SCA files - MDMJavaAPI and SRMMDMCAT on WAS and restart the Portal- Done
Ø        Access the Config UI by using the URL http://:/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM and change the layout as per the requirement. In this you can specify the fields to be displayed for Search, type of UI etc for the particular user

Will follow the below steps once the above issues are resolved
*Create the Web Service in SRM system and specify all the required
parameters. You should get the SRM-MDM configuration guide from Market
Place.
*Change the Org Plan in SRM to assign the Catalog to the SRM users.
*Login into EBP and select SHOP, you should get the SRM-MDM Catalog link
if all the configurations are there in place.)

As you have already installed Java stack then it will be your EP. You don't need PI for SRM MDM.

Query on components to be used for SAP SRM Installation

We have a requirement for SRM Server.. I need some help on what installation objects should I download. This is on AIX and DB2
for "EHP1 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 -> based on SAP NetWeaver 7.02"

1) Installation Master
2) Export (SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1 Installation Export 1-3 of 3) 51038765_1
I have queries on this:
3) For Java stack, the component available is BS7i2010 Java Components 1x4 of 4
I have NW 7.3 based EP system. Can that be used for Java or Do I need to install another stand alone Java ?
If it can be used:
- Will it not create problems b'coz portal is on 7.3 and SRM is based on 7.02
- are there any SRM Java specific components in this installation object or is it a plain NW 7.02 Java stack ?
4) What is SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1 Components in terms of functionality given?
5) We need MDM Server:.
For MDM Server: Where do I need to download MDM Server from ? I am not sure If we have license under our S-user.. Can you give me the path where download starts ?

Download relevent OS copy as its AXi and DB2. What ever It can be: OS Bit 64 or OS Bit 32.
As it's DVD so it contains all version info in lable.sca file. Read it before you start installation.

Query about price information in the MDM SRM catalogue

Hello,
I am setting up an MDM (version 2) catalogue for an SRM system for the first time, and I am considering how to structure the fields.
We only need to hold a price for one unit for each item - i.e. we do not need to use price scales.
In the example repository, prices are held in a qualified lookup table in field PRICE INFORMATION. There is some complexity in using this type of lookup table and my question is: can I avoid this and set up normal fields in the repository for price and currency?
My concern is that the search user interface (SUI) will be hardcoded to work with PRICE INFORMATION because it must be using some logic to compare the requested quantity to the price scales to arrive at a final price.

We use both standard Price Information and custom price field for sort purpose.

SRM pricing query

Hi SRM experts,

We do have an ERP system as our backend.
We are importing the following from the ERP
1> Purchase info record
2> Contracts
We are importing the following from SRM
1> Products
2> Product categories
3> Vendors
We are able to create the xml files and they are on the MDM server. Pl let us know how to take this file and push this into the repository. What services need to be run on the MDM server ( Our MDM is on Unix ) to enable the pushing of XML files into repository.

thats all you will see in se80->utilities->settings->ITS
choose other ITS webserver radio button and enter the following
server: <waserver>.<domain>.com:<port>
path : sap/bc/gui/sap/its (make sure that these paths are activated in transactin SICF)
and make sure that itsp/enable is set to 1 in the profile parameter (RZ10)

Query on eSOA in SRM?

Why SRM 7.0 is called eSOA as netweaver automatically implies eSOA, Are there any other factors related to eSOA apart from Netweaver.

Its like this, SRM 7.0 uses the concept of eSOA for integration. You will need to have PI7.1 for eSOA services to activate.
