SRM SUS-Time sheet Approval

Hi All,
My client requirement is Payment of IT service charges to IT Vendor.Right Now it is Manual (Posting directly to GL account).
We want to integrate this process i SAP-MM and SRM-SUS. I heared about Time sheet process from SRM.
can anybody give the process flow for Time sheet application process through SRM-SUS.

Work Flow for Cat Time sheet approval(more than one employee)

Hello Frn's,
SAP provided workflow for time sheet approval using CAT2 transaction . Currently it is sending mail only a single employee's manager(while Time admin is submiting the time sheet of more than one employee) .
But i need to send mail (work Item) to managers of all the employees .
Please suggest some way to achieve this requirment .

I analyzed the task , it is passing only a single employee . Beacause of that it is sending mail for one employee's manager.

Time Sheet Approval Collision

hi,
Im currently using standard java webdynpro fro Timesheet Approval in MSS.
I have issue when manager is approving the Timehsheetim not getting the Collision error messages for the employee.
Eg:
Employees submitted as work for 01.12.2010 to 5.10 2010 in Timesheet.
Same time Employee Submitted Leave for 02.12.2010 ,now Manager Approved and leave Got Posted.
Now when Manager tries to approve the timesheet manager is supposed to receive collision messages it is not happening.
However after timehsheet approval when it gets posted automatically we get collision error messages.
Now we would like to have the collisions messages durng approval step.
Is there any customizing we can achieve this.

Thanks for the useful information.
This option woukld reduce the collsion error during Time Sheet Request Step.
I would like have the Timesheet Validation during approval step also.
The Reason is refer the previous example.
Please suggest if you find some badi or some work around for this.

MSS Time sheet appearing to reporting Manager and Unit Head

Hello Experts,
We are implementing MSS in project and we are facing a problem:
- We have Org structure
Unit Head (chief Position)
^
Asst Manager (not a chief postion) reports to Unit Head
^
Associates (not a chief postion) reports to Asst manager
Now when employees goes and submits his time sheet it appears correctly to Asst Manager in MSS Time sheet Approval by Line Manager.
Now the problem is that Associate's time sheet is also appearing to Unit Head. Incase Unit head selects it and approve, it will get approved which is incorrect. The Associates time sheet should only appear to Asst Manager not to Unit Head.
Please help us how we can resolve this problem.

As per your scenrio time sheet approval only for one level only. In workflow try to use logic A002 relation ship (Reports to). That means employees reporting manager.
Discuss the same with your workflow consultant they will help you. Whoever is submit time sheet & it will go to employee line manager using A002 Relation ship.

Time sheet approvals going to all other PMS

Hi all,
We have situation here,
there are 3 projects A,B,C each one of them is having different project manangers. Person1 is available in all the three projects.
Person1 submits time sheet for project A, the time sheet approval is going to all the three PMs A,B,C. So B and C are receiving even if they are not responsible.
what could be the possible issues. We checked all these 3 PMS are not allocated to all projects is one to one here.
We are using NWBC. Please help

SRM-SUS for Service Entry Sheets - Classic Scenario

Hi SRM Gurus,
Our client wants to use SRM-SUS for the Service Entry Sheets (to being with and then later expand more in other SRM areas). The lead system will be R/3 system.
We will be going with ECC 6.0 and SRM 5.0.
Service Order will be created in R/3 and replicated into SRM (SAP have said this is new functionality in SRM 2007 and SAP will provide us with this functionality in SRM 5.0 as well)
SAP are also recommending using MDM for hosting the catalogs for service entry sheets to enable vendors to selete their items during the confirmation / filling the service entry sheets. - they say this is mandatory
SAP are also asking for XI for the data to be transferred from R/3 to SRM (and may be vice versa) - they say this is mandatory.
Few questions:
1) What kind of hardware size are we talking about to have SRM-SUS, MDM, XI and Portal (PI)
2) Are MDM and XI mandatory as said by SAP and if yes, in what scenarios. What is they way around
3) How good is the functionality provided by SRM-SUS for Services? Is it as good as in R/3 (or even better)? We will be having complex Services in our scnearios.
4) What can be a typical time to install SRM-SUS, MDM, XI and Portal in the Dev environment to get moving onto the project?
An early response shall be highly appreciated.

few answers to your questions
1) what is the release of SRM you want to work with?
2) services in SUS is not available as standard , and will be provided by SAP as consulting up on request.
3) for hardware requirements , please refer to the master guide for the srm release you will be working on -->
and also you can refer to the software component matrix in master guide --> to see if any component is mandatory..
4) XI and MDM as far as i know is mandatory for SRM 6.0 and above , But in SRM 5.0 , XI is compulsory.
5) so xi is mandatory in anyway in SUS as different systems are involved and therefore is required for routing the documents correctly.
6) time for installation again depends on your supplier base , and your level of expertise.
7) it is not always recommended to compare between two different systems , R/3 and SUS are different and so functionality will not be the same
8) but as far as i know R/3 is stronger functioanlly..

Error while approving time sheet "Internal Error Occurred"

1) Time Sheet entry done for an employee b/w 3rd-5th Oct 2011, while approving it through T code - CATS_APPR_LITE, its giving the error " INTERNAL ERROR OCCURRED" !!!
When the error is expanded, the below details have come up.
Internal error occurred
Message no. LR030
Diagnosis
The system has detected an internal program error which should not have occurred in a normal program run.
Procedure
To safeguard your data, notify the SAP hotline.
2) Please let us know, is there any other procedure or way to approve the time sheets ???

Enterprise service for Approving/Rejecting Time sheets

I am searching for the Enterprise service regarding "Approving / Rejecting Employee timesheet by Manager", i am able to find the Approve/Reject leave request but not the time sheet. could any one please help me in finding these services regarding time sheets. I need these services names as it is high priority issue. or is there any other way to accomplish the same task ?

Thanks for the quick response, i will look and dwell into it and see if it's fit my requirements and award points accordingly. time being i am stuck in one more problem i was able to find the Enterprise sercvices for Changing timesheet and even displaying timesheet, but surprisingly we could not find the enteprise service for the initial basic requirement of "CREATING TIMECARD", where a user can enter and book the necessary hours on weeekly basis.
i got these two enterprise service, but it does not fit our requirement:
1) ECC_EMPLTIMEEVENTERPCRTRC
2) ECC_EMPTIMSHEETCHGRC
Any help on this would be much appreciated,

Approve Time Sheet data

Hi friends,
I am getting problem when trying to "Approve Time Sheet data " from MSS. I am not using Work flow but the link given in MSS Team. When i am clicking on the link the first page is comming and i can see the requested working time for approval. But when i click on the review an error occured. the details is:
Exception condition "NOT_FOUND" raised., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
From R3 by ST22 i checked the error. Its like...

in BW you will see only the time sheet data wich are ok, that means , which have been confirmed (Approve?)

..the data may be summarized
what is the level on granularity in CATSDB
Is all the fields in this table are seen in the datasource 0ca_ts_is_1
If some fields are missing the data is summarized to the next available level of granularity
You can see the combined totals of table contents and RSA3 total contents of certain key figures to ensure this

How to activate multiple approval in time sheets

Hi Experts,
I have a business requirement where we require multiple approval of time sheets. The requirement is is such that either of the two managers or the director should be able to approve the time sheets of the consultants.
We use project systems and we have assigned the director as the person responsible in the project and the managers for person responsible for the WBS elements and the consultants have been assigned to the WBS elements. As of now only the director can approve the time sheets of the consultants. (i.e the person responsible for the project). But we want the ability where the other 2 managers also to approve the time sheets.

Thank you for replying my query. We use cj20n to create the project and the WBS elements and assign a person responsible for the projects & as well as for the WBS element. These persons have been maintained in OPS6 along with their user ID
