I am looking for a way to share run-time configuration information between
Forté and Java processes, possibly running on different boxes (Solaris).
Someone suggested we use an URL-based retrieval mechanism, or perhaps LDAP.
Does anyone have any pointers on how to access such info from a Forté
service object?

Firefox says it can't load config info ?
Firefox informed me I had an old version and recommended I install the new one 3.6.15, I did this but when I tried to run it, it says 'can't load config info'. so now I can't use firefox ??
Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
You may need or want to create a new profile to remove all remnants from that old Firefox 3.0.19 version and start with fresh files.

Hi,
If I use a Classic Scenario the info record is a source of supply. So, we need to delete it when we implement the SRM.
How do I do with the costs calcutation?
The variants use the info record as a base to do the calculation.
Thanks for the help
EvelynHi Evelyn
As i understand, you want to use the info record for the costs calculation SAP ERP.
But you don´t want the info records to appear as source of supply in SAP SRM.
To solve this i suggest to implement the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI in SRM and delete the info record information from the positions:
Importing Structure is "it_item" field "BE_INFO_REC".
Alternativ you can implement the Sourcing Badi´s: BBP_SOS_BADI

Where can I find information on configuring Sun One Webserver for the WebSphere plug-in? Which config files, params, etc. I have already done this for Weblogic, which involved adding the plug-in info in magnus.conf and adding the plug-in object to obj.conf. I just need to set it up likewise for WebSphere.
Here's the IBM docs:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v6r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.websphere.express.doc/info/exp/ae/tins_manualWebIPL.html
If this does not help, perhaps you may also want to contact IBM support.
Thanks

The pageURL under the showPage needs to point to the final destination URL that you need to render. The loginURL under authentication needs to point to the login page where you will submit the user/passwd.
You can view a step-by-step demo on the PDK from:

Configuration Manager - How to display all config info?
Hi,
I noticed that the Configuration Manager doesn't display (and allow you to edit) all of the info in configuration.xml. For example, the openhttp proxy properties aren't listed. Is it possible to expose these through the Configuration Manager? This link (the lone comment at the bottom of the page) seems to indicate that it is indeed possible but offers no explanation:
[http://blogs.oracle.com/bbenac/2008/08/configuring_proxies_in_alui_co.html]
Thanks.So I canu2019t do this, I canu2019t display all data on one page (until Iu2019m using JSF tags)?
In JSF tags Iu2019m setting only path to file. In my bean Iu2019m using u201CReportClientDocumentu201D object itu2019s easy way to load report file (u201Copenu201D method) and set parameters (u201CgetDataDefController().getParameterFieldController()u201D method) and also connect to data base (u201Clogonu201D method) but I havenu2019t this property u201CsetSeparatePages(boolean)u201D.
Maybe Iu2019m doing this wrong and there is a simpler way maybe I can use somehow u201CCrystalReportVieweru201D please give my any advice. -

Standard method of storing config info in an EJB application
HI,
What is the standard way of storing config information in an EJB application?Open source GlobalEnvironment at http://www.acelet.com/opensource/index.html.
Also, you can use SuperEnvironment, a GUI, to manage it:
http://www.acelet.com/super/SuperEnvironment/index.html.
SuperEnvironment also has a plug-in for Netbeans. -
I can't figure out why this isn't working...it is basic config, and I am eventually trying to to back-end SSL termination. Need basic connectivity first though. If anyone can assist that would be great.
thanks in advance!

SRM 7.13 Web-Dynpro custom configuration is not getting delegated
Hello Experts
please help to solve my issue:
SRM 7.13 I created a new configuration of a Wed-dynpro view to replace the original one.
But for some unknown reason it is not getting delegated on the SRM web. Technical Help shows the original WDCONFIGURATIONID.
My WD configuration properties show that the new config should be delegated to replace the one which is still visible on SRM web.
I even tried to add my WD configuration to the table WDY_CONF_DELC, but no luck.
I have no info yet on this from my client, so I am triyng to get some hint even this way.
Thanks
ImiI am on SRM 7.13 and I also have problems to make my new WD configurations visible on SRM web.
Component: /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_ORG_ATTR
View: V_DODC_ATTR_PLANT
It is actually the table for Plants in Personalization --> SRM User Settings (Personal Settings) - Attributes (Plant)
I configured the part above.
How to make my WD config work?
I tried to add the config info into table WDY_CONF_DELC, but it makes dumps in User Settings. -
Coherence Extend Config: Client create a new Cluster
Hi,
I have configured one storage-enabled coherence node and one proxy server on port 9099 as shown in the wiki. Coherence client is configured with the right -Dtangosol.coherence.cacheconfig which points to the xml file with
+ +<remote-cache-scheme>++

++ <heartbeat-timeout>4s</heartbeat-timeout>++
++ <request-timeout>50s</request-timeout>++
++ </outgoing-message-handler>++
++ </initiator-config>++
++ </remote-cache-scheme>++
My Client logs shows that it has created a new cluster and then it loaded the Dtangosol.coherence.cacheconfig xml file. Is there a way to prevent my client starting a new cluster? Is configuration incorrect? Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

BAPI_CUSTOMERQUOTATION_CHANGE for changing VC info
Hello ABAPers:
I am using BAPI_CUSTOMERQUOTATION_CHANGE for changing Variant Configuration information on quotes. I am filling the table quotation_item_inx with quotation_item_inx-UPDATEFLAG = 'U' quotation_item_inx-CONFIG_ID = 'X' and other VC tables QUOTATION_CFGS_REF, QUOTATION_CFGS_INST, and QUOTATION_CFGS_VALUE. It updates other header and item fields except the config info. Has anybody tried updating Variant Configuration info on quotes?

sd_item_it-material= '10435-5562'.
sd_item_it-alt_to_itm = '000000'.
sd_item_it-dlv_group = '000'.
sd_item_it-target_qty = '1'.
sd_item_it-target_qu = 'EA'.
sd_item_it-t_unit_iso = 'EA'.
sd_item_it-po_itm_no = '000030'.
sd_item_it-PMNTTRMS = 'NT45'.
sd_item_it-CONFIG_ID = '000001'.
sd_item_it-inst_id = '00000001'.
append sd_item_IT.
quotation_item_inx is filled with
sd_item_x_it-itm_number = '000030'.
sd_item_x_it-updateflag = 'U'.
sd_item_x_it-PMNTTRMS = 'X'.
APPEND sd_item_x_it.
QUOTATION_CFGS_REF is filled with
q_cfgs_ref-posex = '000030'.
q_cfgs_ref-config_id = '000001'.
q_cfgs_ref-root_id = '00000001'.
q_cfgs_ref-complete = 'T'.
q_cfgs_ref-consistent = 'T'.
append q_cfgs_ref.
QUOTATION_CFGS_INST is filled with
q_cfgs_inst-config_id = '000001'.
q_cfgs_inst-inst_id = '00000001'.
q_cfgs_inst-obj_type = 'MARA'.
q_cfgs_inst-class_type = '300'.
q_cfgs_inst-OBJ_KEY = '10435-5562'.
q_cfgs_inst-quantity = '1'.
q_cfgs_inst-quantity_unit = 'EA'.
q_cfgs_inst-complete = 'T'.
q_cfgs_inst-consistent = 'T'.
append q_cfgs_inst.
QUOTATION_CFGS_VALUE is filled with
q_cfgs_value-config_id = '000001'.
q_cfgs_value-inst_id = '00000001'.
q_cfgs_value-charc = 'ART_REFERENCE'.
q_cfgs_value-charc_txt = 'Art Reference'.
q_cfgs_value-value = 'B'.
append q_cfgs_value.
As you can see config_id id matching. I am filling in the quote number in salesdocument and the update_flag in quotation_header_inx is set to 'U'.
In the above situation, I am able Payment terms on the item but not config info.

The computer is a 64 bit. IE 64 works with adobe beta 64 maybe, but firefox seems to have troubles both with adobe 32 bit and adobe 64 bit. Adobe help is worthless due to confusing and incomplete info.
