SRM-XI Integration

Hi,
My client wants to send a POrequest(in their format with and ID) to SRM, map it to SRM PO Request format, send it to SRM, wants Purchase Order to be generated with SRM PO number and send a PO response, that contains both SRM PO number and their PO Request ID, back to XI and then to their portal.
I have a couple of questions.
1)Can we send the proprietary PO Request ID along with the SRM PO Request? If yes, which element should we use?
2)How can we configure SRM so that SRM PO number gets generated automatically?
3)Does SRM sends back the porprietary PO Request ID and the SRM PO number, the generated one, as parts of the Purchase Order Acknowledgment?
Your helps will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

    Hi Arun,
Are you running with Portal ?
If yes, could you confirm the following point :
    - portal and ITS of the SRM system run under the same protocol (both under http or https, ELSE it is not possible),

  • SRM-MDM integration

We have SRM 5.0 being integrated with MDM5.5 for catalog management.
The business requirement is to have some relationship between catalog items like Bill of Materials, Sales Kits, Substitutes and Related Items etc. which MDM2.0 suports.
We would like to take these items to SRM shopping cart with their relationship intact and the dependency among the items is not disturbed by the requester/approver of the shopping cart.
However, we notice that the items with relation ship like Kit are broght from MDM to the Shopping cart in SRM, these items are broken down to each single line item and allows the requester to change these items. This is not ensuring the relationship among the items.
Fro Example: A Kit in MDM contains 10 items. But when it is brought to SRM shopping cart, these items become 10 line items and requester is able to delete / change the quantity, price etc.
Can anyone can help me how to ahcieve the functionality.
Following are being used by us:
    MDM 5.5 SP5; SRM 5.0
    Rao

    Hello Rao,
No item type or relationship information is passed via OCI from SRM-MDM Catalog to SRM. I think you should implement customer field and BADI to handle it.

  • SAP SRM - ERP INTEGRATION

    Hello,
we are designing application architecture. Our landscape is:
    - ECC 6.0
    - SRM 5.0
    - XI 7.0
We are thinking of using <b>XI as middleware even for those scenario in which in not required</b> (es. Contract Managament):
In particular every time we have a <b>communication based on IDOC</b> we want to use XI as communication middleware. Pure RFC integration will not use XI.
Has anyone some experience on this?

  • SRM-PI Integration for Supplier and Company Replication ( EBP-SUS Scenario)

    Dear Experts,
We are doing a scenario where we are trying to replicate the Company and the Vendors from EBP to SUS via tcode-
    BBP_SP_COMP_INI and BBP_SP_SUPP_INI.
When we are doing this in EBP , at SLG1 it is showing the replication done successfully. I have also checked  in EBP - SXI_MONITOR the corresponding XML messages has been successfully generated and the respective proxies are called.
But these messages are failing in XI.
In XI the corresponding service interfaces are used -
    from EBP (outbound) - SupplierPortalTradingPartner_CreateOrChange_Out       http://sap.com/xi/EBP

We are doing this scenario from  SAP  Pre-delivered  standard content -

in XI the inbound message is failing at mapping step, it is showing the below error-

I have also tried to test the mapping in test tab with the same payload but it showing the same error, even if I try it with a blank payload error remains same.

  • SRM Backend integration

    HI,
How to do the backend config for SRM and R/3.
I need some relavant materils with screenshot other than SAP help

    1) Yes  . in ECS you can edit the PO in SRM only. In Claasic PO only exist in ECC.
    2) In the PO/ sc history ,Confirmation  backend /local logical system will be available. so you can easily identify which system done a good receipt either backend logical system or SRM logical system.
a)Yes.you can validate ECC PO or SRM PO via EKKO-STATU . This PO status says How PO was created .*
b)I dont think any indicator existing . however you can explore extended search during creating confirmation. You can put GR for all POs in SRM.
    c) *for eg. some times wf-batch USER creates a PO but last name and first name picks from wf-batch user. but this user is not existed in r/3. however you can modify the user data via BBP_DOC_CHANGE BADI for PO , possible. sarch some notes consulting discussions on this.d) When PO is created in SRM and replicated to backend how numbering range is controlled ?
d)yes. same no range must be there.

  • SRM - ECC Integration

    Hi all,
    We have 2 SRM systems : SRM 7.0 & 1 ECC system : ERP 6.0 (Ehp 4).
Is it possible for us to integrate these 2 SRM systems with 1 ECC in the backend?
If yes then what major settings will be required? If no what could be the reason?
    Thanks,
    Nikhil.

    Nikhil,
Normally multiple backend systems are connected to one SRM system for centralizing procurement in SRM.
You should be able to connect multiple SRM systems to same backend. It would be similar to what you do for two SRM systems with one backend each. Since each SRM system will have different logical system, it should not be a problem.
I am curious on the business need for two SRM systems.

  • Business partner not created in SRM in  HR-SRM  integration

    Hi All,
We are setting up SRM HR integration set up with ALE idocs message type.
I ve done configuration as per guide available in SAP.Setting up parnter profiles, maintaining message types in both the systems ,mainyaining entries in tavle T77S0 for HRALX , maintaining filters in distribution model in BD64. When I start replicating the data using PFAL in R/3 ,the idocs triggered are green in both R/3 and SRM for org units ,Postions and also Persons.
Still i dont see BP created for most of the employees.Only few are getting craeted. When I check the log in SLG1 it says Marital status could not be converted.
I maintained all entries as per the entries available in R/3 in SPRO-Cross application components- SAP Business Partner-Business partners-Natural Persons-Maintain Marital status . Still i rceive the same error in SLG1 and BP is not getting craeted with idoc in green in SRM.
    CAn any one please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sheetal

    Hi
On SRM side using WE05 transaction see the failed IDOC's to get the complete details of the error. As you are saying that some of the users are successfully replicated issue may be on the ECC side HR info type relation ship missing. Ask your HR team to check the same.
On ECC side check table HRP1001 to see the difference between the successully replcaited users and one which failed.

CCMS monitoring of SRM's own XI integration engine
background: I have previously managed to successfully set up CCMS monitoring for a plain XI system, but there seem to be some difference while SRM's XI only has integration engine and not J2EE engine running. SRM XI Integration engine is in place due to ABAP Proxies used by SRM.

can anyone provide me some good links, docs and blogs about SRM XI integration please.
and what would be the scenarios with SRM integrations?I mean are they like

    non SAP---XI---SAP SRM
    SAP r/3(or)ECC--XI--SAP SRM?
what we need to use on SRM side (sender/Receiver)are they Idocs/RFC/proxies?and what we need to use on SAP R/3 side and thirdparty systems?
    please clear me?
    thank you,
    babu

    Hi Babu
SAP deliver a lot of XI contents for SRM.
For this have a look at service.sap.com/xi --> Business content --> SAP XI Content --> XI content delivered by SAP --> mySAP SRM
Also refer this realtive thread from jin shin
Re: Http server code 401 reason Unauthorized explanation Unauthorized
There are business package available for the standard SRM and XI integration. For this you can download from the service market place and you can make use of the standard SAP delivered objects.
Most of the time senario involves Idoc/RFC and Proxy here
Some of the docs from SAP service market place are-

  • One SRM integrated with multiple Backends

    Hi All
Can One SRM be integrated with multiple Backends?
If so any insights, documentation, pros-cons that can you all can share?
Does the version of SRM or ECC matter?
SRM version will be 7.0 and ECC 6 EP3.
    Thanks,
    Gamad

    Hi Gamad,
multiple backend systems for one SRM is normal and works fine.
You just need to connect the systems, replicate the materials/vendors you would like to use and maintain the SRM customizing:
    1) Add the further backend system(s):
-> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend Systems
    2) Define the scenario/follow-on document creation for the product categories
-> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings  -> Define Backend System for Product Category
    3) Define the scenario/follow-on document creation for the product categories
-> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders)

  • SAP Standard ABAP Proxy for PO 855 SRM-R/3

    Hi :
855 PO Confirmation in R/3 from SRM
Can I use the ABAP Proxy "PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In" to Confirm the PO response in SRM from R/3
( In R/3 i get a idoc formatted file as 855 from vendor and can do PO Confirmation uisng custom program in R/3).
PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In is standard abap proxy out of the sap box  for the SRM-SUS integration.Sender Interface is PurchaseOrderConfirmation_Out(SUS) and receiver Interface is PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In(SRM) for the PO Confirmation for SUS-SRM scenario.
The 855 file from vendor is in the form of IDOC structure and how to customize the file to be used in conjunction with PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In(as this is based on XML).
How to Convert the 855 IDoc to XML format and feed  it to standard SAP Interface PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In  via XI ,if yes will this work and how??
