SRM7.0 delete POWL queries

Hi,
We are upgrading to SRM7.0. It is Classic scenario and confirmations are not done in SRM. In POWL , can we remove the queries for SRM POs and Confirmations? Users only want to see queries from category Shopping Cart. Can we delete the queries that are not required for all users.
Thanks

  • How to delete the queries in  BW Production which are no longer existing.

    Hi,
How to  delete the queries in BW production which are no longer existing in DEV.
    1. I tried Using RSZDELETE in Production it is not getting deleted and the below message given.
Query object 4A7V83T3RB4ABIOKSDJT2HWDL is blocked. Deletion has been cancelled.
    2. I tried creating another query in dev with the same technical name and send a transport with deletion
    it is not working.
Please advise me on this for any function module or any other method.
    Thanks
    Surya

    Hi,
If you transported the query from DEV and now you want to delete it, you should open a BEx request (Dev Class under which it was originally transported -- or-- Standard - type) in DEV delete the query and move the transport to Production.
As far as your error is concerned, usually  when you  can delete a query using the delete option in query designer itself,
Business Explorer> query-> delete objects , when you press execute the system offers you a list of dependent objects on the query(workbook, views), in case the sysytem is unable to delete them i.e.they being used as a input query for a characteristic variable (replacement path),then system throws this error. You can delete these all depndents under there prescribed roles , fav s & then proceed.
    Hope this will be expedite.
    Thax & regards.

  • Execution of POWL Queries through ECC EHP5

    Hello,
I am an SAP BW Consultant, new to the Power list concept. I would like to have information on the following stuff related to POWL queries:
    1) In POWL_QUERY transaction, i got the list of all the available POWL Queries as per EHP5. Please let me know if there is any possibility of executing these queries directly from ECC, without being re-directed to Portal or NWDS? This is because we don't have Portal or NWDS in our current landscape.
    2) I have seen that POWL queries are generally the InfoSet queries. This gives me an option of leveraging POWL queries by executing directly as InfoSet queries from SQ01. But I found some POWL queries like "/KYK/OP_FI_VENDOR_ITEMS_ALL" which are not available in SQ01. How can I execute these queries from ECC? What needs to be done to make them available as normal InfoSet queries in SQ01? I have seen an option of registering InfoSet query as a POWL query, but here i want something just opposite.
    Would appreciate immediate response.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Prateek

    1. POWL queries are WDA applications.  Therefore they can be ran by adding them to the user's role or even directly in the Web Browser if they know the URL.  There is absolutely no connection to the NetWeaver Developer Studio at all and they can't be edited there anyway since they are ABAP based.  Now POWLs can often contain Portal API based navigation, however.  This is why we do make the general recommendation that you should run POWLs within the NetWeaver Business Client or the NetWeaver Portal.  Otherwise the navigation from the POWL to the detailed transaction might not work.
    2. These are probably feeder class based POWLs.  There would be no options to convert these back into InfoSet Queries.  I believe you are confusing two subjects here.  The purpose of POWL isn't to enable InfoSet queries.  Infoset Queries are just one of several possible sources of creating POWLs.

  • Deleting Old Queries

    Hi All,
I have gone to the Stats cube and have identified over 900 old queries that have not been accessed/run since 1999, 2000, 2001. Several of them are from cubes that we do not even use anymore. Instead of deleting them individually, which is extremely time consuming, is there a program that I can run where I can input the names of all the queries I was erased and it will carry the job out of deleting old queries?
    Regards,
    Pashang

    You can use transaction RSZDELETE.

  • Refreshing POWL Queries in e-Recruiting

    Hi All,
I need some help regarding POWL Queries.
If I switch from one link - My Open Requisitions to other link My New Applications, then REFRESH is not happening.
Could you please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Anil

You can schedule the refresh by running a background job, please have a look at the following link for more information:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/42/d6652b755c1630e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
The following text is qouted from the above SAP documentation link:
    POWL_WLOAD (Refresh Active POWL Queries)
You can use this report to update queries.  If you schedule the report as a background job, for example, you can update the queries overnight. Users then have access to the updated data when they start work, without having to refresh the data themselves. This is a way of controlling the server load.

  • POWL Queries

    Hi,
We had defined POWL Queries by role wise in EHP4. These queries have been refreshed with EHP5 upgrade. In EHP5, there is no role based approach towards POWL queries. Can some one help me out in understanding on how we can restrict queries in EHP5 role wise?
    Regards
    Savitha

    Hi Savithat,
You just assign the queries/applications you want to be called with that role in POWL_QUERYR (column 'role') with your custom role you created.

  • DELETE OLD QUERIES

    Hi,

    Thanks

    USE  query Designer

  • Delete standard queries in SPM

    Hi All,
We are on SPM 2.1 SP5. SPM out of the box list the standard queries as the list of datasources on the SPM UI. In my current assignment we dont use any other queries other than Spend Analysis Final and Spend Analysis Detail. We would ideally like to delte all the remaining queries from front end. When I goto Administration --> Analysis Administration --> Application Properties --> Datasources i see delete icon next to each data source. But for some reason there is no action post clicking the delete icon next to standard datasources. Also i could successfully delete "Z" datasources created and added by me.
PS: Datasources above means the Bex queries included in SPM UI as datasources.
    - Help Appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sampat Desai

    Hi Sampat,
I think you need the content creator role for this, create a blank ABAP role ZXSA_CONTENT_CREATOR and assign it to yourself in the back end (SU01). Or you can do it in the UI if you have the relevant auths. That should enable you to delete the out of the box data sources. Be careful with this role, you can delete all standard content. Also, SAP say you should only have this role applied for a specific action that explicitly requires it, not general use, so either create a special user for it, or remove it after completing the aforementioned action.
Also would recommend upgrading to the latest SP. SP6 patch 4 as there are some important fixes that were affecting our system.
Hope this helps, let me know if it works
    Thanks
    Neil

  • Authority check POWL queries

    Hi all,
is possible to hide some queries in POWL depending on the user's roles ?
For example; in tab SRM Administration I want that all users can use the queries; "Suppliers", "Bidders" and "Contact Persons" ... , but i want that only some users can use the queries; "Locations" and "Employees"...
    is it possible?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi RM,
Yes it is possible....you can restrict the POWL query based on roles or users..
Please check the below mentioned SPRO Path
SAP Implementation Guide-->SAP Web Application Server-->Cross-Application Components-->General Application Functions--> Generic SAP Business Suite Functions-->Personal Object Worklist-->Define Query Visibility at Role Level----->Execute
    or transaction POWL_QUERYR  .
Here you can define the quesirs for roles.
    Thanks,
    Anubhav

  • How to delete the queries and WAD templates from the SAP BI

    HI,
We had a task to delete the list of quires and WAD templates from the SAP BI landscape(development, quality and production servers)
Please suggest the process to follow for removing the quires from the SAP BI landscape.

    Hi Venkata,
I assume that the DEV-QA -PRD are in Sync with each other.
When you are deleting a query from the DEV,it should ask for a NEW transport request.IF not it means it is collected in some other request ,may be in NA or in Junk request. So see to it that it is FIRST saved in your request and then using RSZDELETE T .Code you can delete it.When you transport the request to QA or to PRD ,the query automatically gets deleted from that landscape.
Let me know if there are any issues.

  • Hiding of queries for perticular roles in POWL in SRM7.0

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to hide the certain queries in POWL for perticular roles. I have maintained the entries for the roles through transaction POWL_QUERYR but we are not able to see the desired results.
Also tried by running the report POWL_D01 but this report will delete the queries based on the users.  Our requirement is to show or hide certain queries to all the users with a perticular role.
    Kindly advice.
    Thanks and Regards
    Vishal

    Hi Lavanya,
    Thanks for the reply.
We are following the below approach for hiding the tabs "Team Shopping Carts", Invoice/Credit Memo" and Confirmation Team Shopping Carts".
    - Defined a new application id Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS.
    - Maintained the entry in POWL_TYPER with the application Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS and type for confirmation and shopping cart along with the role
    - Maintained the entry in POWL_QUERY with the application Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS, role and activated the activate check box
    - Assigned the application id to the role authorizations "authorizations for Personal Object Work List (POWL) iViews"
When I run the report POWL_D02, I can see that for the application Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS the queries shopping carts abd confirmations are active.
But when I run the report POWL_D01 with the above application id I get the result that no queries found.
Please let me know if the approach that we are following above is correct. or do we need to maintain some more things to accomplish this.
We are defining are our own application id's because we need to hide queries for many transactions, so in our defined application id we will include the queries that needs to be displayed and will assign those application id in the roles after carrying out the above steps.
    Thanks and Regards

These queries are just brand new queries.

What is the difference between "Create Transport Requests for BEx "  and "Transport object"
When do we use "Create Transport Requests for BEx "?

  • Deleting and or moving multiple adhoc/SAP queries in one go.

    Hi,
I am wondering whether anyone knows of a method to deleting multiple SAP queries in a single go.  I would also like to be able to bulk move queries from one user group to another.  We are having a wholesale clear-up of queries and the thought of having to do each one individually is scary!
    Many thanks in advance

To delete queries belonged to a user group, you can use SQ02 -  GoTo - Query Directory, then key in the desired user group and execute. From the output list of this, you can select all queries and click on 'Delete Select Queries' .
