  • System Requirements for PS CC, is my Windows 8.1 tablet fit enough?

    Hello everyone,
I have this Windows 8.1 tablet/laptop kind of thing in my hands. I have been asked to have a copy of PS. I actually was asked to directly just pirate it, but a 3-4 month subscription didn't look much expensive to me, so I won't. I either will buy it or won't have it at all, depending on the answer to this question:
Can this device handle PS CC?
    Intel Core i5-3337U CPU
    1.80 GHz (4 CPUs)
    Windows 8.1 OS
    4096 MB of RAM
    DDR3 at 1600 MHz
    128 GB of disk space
    SSD through SATA2
    ~40 GB free
    1920 x 1080 display
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
    Integrated & Shared
This is what I'm worried about the most
For full list of disclosed specs: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/pcs/XE700T1C-K01US#key-specs
Now the System Requirements page for PS CC: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html
Are the specifications of the device I have are good enough? Specifically on the aspects of Processor and the GPU, which I don't have any at all in reality...
I can always try the product before buying it, but I wanted to ask about it before even trying it.

4 GB is the absolute minmum to launch Photoshop, 8 GB the minimum to run it well.
You cannot underestimate the HUGE importance of having enough available contiguous scratch disk space, as well as enough HS space for the swap files of the OS.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
The rule of thumb I follow to figure out scratch space says to figure on 50 to 100 times the size of your largest file ever multiplied by the number of files you have open.  I have seen the scratch file exceed 800 GB once, an admittedly rare occurrence, but it often exceeds 200 GB when stitching large panoramas and the like.
As an example—and stressing that I'm aware that others have even more scratch space than I do—I keep two dedicated, physically separate hard drives as my primary and secondary Photoshop scratch disks and a lot of GB free on my boot drive for the OS.  I also have 16 GB of RAM installed.
Additionally, if you only have a single HD, i.e. your boot drive, you'd need it to be large enough to accommodate both the swap files of the OS as well as Photoshop's scratch.

  • System requirements for BO Enterprise XI 3.0 with 3 cloned webi services

    Helllo,
I'm wondering what the system requirements would be for a server to host a BO Enterprise system (XI 3.0) if it is connected to a SAP BW system.
The system should be able to cope with around 150 to 200 calls/requests maximum at a time.
The users log in into SAP and launches a request via an SAP screen with behind that an URL request that is constructed based on a guest account (max 200 requests at the time) for BO. Because it is always the same account (Guest) that is used over and over again I'm wondering what kind of additional requirements the system should support.
We did some stresstesting with 120 simultaneous users. Even with 3 cloned web intelligence processing servers it blocked several times.
For the moment it is running on following hardware specifications:
HRBOXI (Dell PowerEdge 2950 (Servicetag: GMZ834J))
Memory: 8 memory slots available on motherboard of which 2 are used (each is  2GB) Total available memory at this moment is 4GB.
CPU: 2 x Intel Xeon E5420 (quad core). There are 2 CPU sockets on the motherboard that are in use.
    Disks:  2 x 146GB (15K) SAS
On that there is a 32bit operating system in use. We would like to start with upgrading that to 64 bit OS.
Can someone tell me if this machine is suitable for production purposes for BO Enterprise linked to an SAP BW on mainly HR-data? I mean by that does this machine has enough processors to be able to cope with 3 cloned webintelligence services at a time. And also enough RAM memory?
    Many thanks Thierry Renaer

  • Requirement Specification for a SharePoint Project

I need to learn about developing in SharePoint and do you guys have a requirement specification that I can use it to create a customized SP solution?
It is difficult to be creative in order to create a requirement specification for a home made SP project. The purpose is to improve my skills in SharePoint development.

    Hi
    Sakura Data ,
SharePoint 2013 will support this classic model well-known to all SharePoint developers. SharePoint Solutions are still considered a good option, and in some cases the only option, for customizing SharePoint.
SharePoint Solutions can be developed using Visual Studio 2012, which includes a number of supported templates. They can integrate with external applications using Business Connectivity Services (BCS), Web
Services, or a custom Service Application. There are two types of SharePoint Solutions: Farm Solutions and Sandboxed Solutions.
For developing SharePoint Solutions, you can refer to the article:

  • HT4759 I have an iMac, iMac, 10,1 10.8. I would like to have iCloud downloaded to my computer.  Does my computer have the system requirement necessary. I use iCal on my Apple Notebook and Iphone 4S. Thank you!

I have an iMac, iMac, 10,1 10.8. I would like to have iCloud downloaded to my computer.  Does my computer have the system requirement necessary. I use iCal on my Apple Notebook and Iphone 4S and want it to my Mac Desktop to sinc with all my Apple Products. Thank you!

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price (though it's reported to have been removed from sale in some countries so may well cease to be available generally) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
      and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

  • System Requirements are too terse - Is this a limitation of the App Store?

Greetings. I've noticed that several games, like Borderlands, +Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare+, Trine, +Civilization IV: Colonization+, and a few others list Mac OS X 10.6.6 as their only system requirement. However, the "more" description reads out more detailed system specifications.
Is this a limitation on the amount of information developers can use to describe their apps in the App Store, or is this something the developers are doing out of preference?

The information is provided by the developers. Format is a restriction of the web site.

  • Basic System Requirements for running 3rd party samples

    Here's a VSL instruments conundrum.
From what I can see, I've got approximately double the minimum system requirements spelled out by VSL for running Vienna Instruments II. But my system is crashing immediately with only one instrument plugged in.
Here's my full setup and things I've tried so far.
MacBook Pro, 1.86gHZ Dual Core processor, 2G DRAM.
    MOTU Ultralite I/O Interface
    Logic Pro 7.2.4
500Gig 7200 RPM, 8mb cache RAM external Western Digital Hard Drive.
Firewire 400 (the early MacBook Pros from last year didn't have 800).
VSL installer, Logic Pro, and Syncrosoft are the latest updated versions (just bought VSL last week).
Vienna Instruments are installed on the external. Logic Pro and Vienna standalone are installed on the internal computer drive (200G, 40G empty).
Since I only have one firewire slot, I have tried piggy backing the MOTU and the 500G external hard drive both ways (MOTU plugged directly into the computer in front of the HD, with the HD piggy-backed into the MOTU's firewire slot, and the HD in front of the MOTU). No difference in results.
Specific issue: everything works flawlessly until I plug in just one Vienna sample. As soon as I choose it (before playing anything), the system starts to crackle, and even just trying to audition the sample in the AU Standalone taxes the system beyond being able to make a consistent sound. As I touch the "piano keys" in the standalone, most of the time I get no sound, other times I'll get the note accompanied by a lot of crackling. Then when I actually try to play the sample in a Logic Pro track, all sound is hosed. Only solution is to reboot Logic Pro, and 1/3 of the time I have to reboot the computer itself.
This happens whether I have 10 other Logic Pro instruments plugged in or none. One highly optimized Vienna sample by itself hoses the whole system (example - I've tried the Bosendorder optimized to only take up 1MB of RAM - same result including only 20% of the notes playing in the VSL standalone before I even try to play it in a Logic Pro track).
The system requirements spelled out by VSL are about half of what my system has. (VSL calls for a minimum 1G processor and 1G of RAM - I have a 186gHZ Dual Core processor and 2G Ram). I don't mind having to optimize and play some tricks to get 6-10 instruments to play at once, but I can't get a single instrument to run (with double the minimum system requirements).
Spent 2 1/2 full days working on this so far with no progress. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, you've managed to start three separate threads about the same thing. This not only fragments all the responses you'll get, but it also limits the search engine for future users experiencing similar problems, looking for solutions.... but hey, it ain't my forum...
I can't help but wonder if having two FW devices on the same bus is causing a bottleneck on the FW buss. Getting an external FW card for your mac might be necessary...keeping the VSL Hard Drive and the MOTU interface on separate busses.
In the meantime, try this... switch your audio driver to "Built-In Audio", so that Logic is using it's internal sound card, not your MOTU. Try loading a VSL instance and playing.
If it works, playing through your computer's speakers, then you've possibly found the trouble.
Have you emailed VSL Tech support yet?

  • Does not meet the system requirement for installing BB App World

I bought a Curve 8520 in Singapore yesterday. When i tried to download App world into this phone, it says "my phone does not meet the system requirement for the software".  does it refer to hardware specification or the BB O/s version on the phone. How can fix it because being able to use App world is one of the purposes that i buy a BB.
Also, How about MS Live Messenger , facebook ?  Do I need to install them seperately through App World?
    Please help!

    Hi there!
Please see these links for reference:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/appworld/download.jsp#tab_tab_system_requirements
    http://www.blackberry.com/app_includes/devicesoftware/appworld/appworld_availability_en.html
A key component in accessing AppWorld is your carrier -- if they are not delivering it, then you can't get it. If you don't have an adequate plan from them that incudes it, then you can't get it. Hence, if you meet the hardware requirements AND it is available in your country, then you need to contact your carrier to find out how you can get it via their network.
All that said, AppWorld is merely a storefront, vending apps developed by others...there are many other storefronts available that don't have the same restrictions.
    Good luck!

  • Systems Requirements - Weblogic 11g on Windows Server 2012

    Hi,
We are migrating the Delivery Environment from RedHat to Windows 2012 Server. We use Weblogic 11g and I need some help to know about the system requirements for a Windows Server 2012 platform running Weblogic 11g, could you tell me the equivalent Windows platform (CPU/RAM) of a Linux RedHat with that system features:
    RAM: 24GB
    CPU: 2 MACHINES X 2 CORE
Weblogic 11g system requirements will be higher in Windows Server 2012 than in RedHat if we want to keep up a good performance?
    Thanks!

  • What  are the System Requirement for LC Rights Management

I went to the Adobe public and partner site, the only System Requirements I found for RM are on the public site. This link http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/rightsmanagement/ has the hight level system info like the OS systems supported etc. But does not provide minimum  memeory, disk space info. If you have info on this, I would appreciate your input.

    For Mac:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP663
    Software:
Mac OS X version 10.6.8 or later (intel-based hardware)
    400MB of available disk space
iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match availability may vary by country.
    Hardware:
Mac computer with an Intel Core processor and 512MB of RAM
To play 720p HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 1GB of RAM is required.
To play 1080p HD video, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 2GB of RAM is required.
Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater; 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
Apple combo drive or SuperDrive to create audio, MP3, or back-up CDs; some non-Apple CD-RW recorders may also work
Apple SuperDrive to back up your library to DVDs; some non-Apple DVD-RW drives may also work.
You can run OS X 10.6.8 in an Intel-based MacBook w/ first model, in retail DVD.
But it won't work in a power-pc architecture Mac... see specifications:

    Hopefully this helps.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • PSE 7 System Requirements

    Hello
I would like to know, if my computer IBM TP R50 Intel Pentium M Processor 1.5 GHz Centrino (Windows XP SP3) is capable of running PSE 7?
Adobe System Requirements just says: Processor speed min. 2 GHz.
I have tried to get a more detailed answer from Adobe regarding the PSE 7 System requirements compared with my PC processor but Adobe told me I should reference the PSE 7 System Requirements.
Now I am stuck in the middle because I don't want to buy a new PC because of the vage PSE 7 System Requirements.
    Your advice is appreciated.
    Thanks alot for your help.
    Bernd

    Bernd,
Well your 1.5 GHz is below the 2.0 GHz that Adobe stated. So it is probably marginal and may depend on how patient you want to be when waiting for a response from PSE 7.
So I do agree with the suggestion to use the PSE 7 trial. Also, if you post additional info, that may help us to give you suggestions about how to best use PSE 7 on your specific laptop.
How much RAM is installed on that laptop? How much space is available on the hard drive?
If you are currently running an earlier version of PSE, which version do you run? Do you do editing using multiple layers? Do you do creations like slide shows?
